A really nice meal which we both enjoyed. Having over indulged over the Christmas period we fancied yet another lunch and were very pleasantly surprised by our meal at The Larder. I had the salmon as my starter and it was a perfect light introduction to my meal. My partner had the aubergine which he enjoyed. I couldn't decide between the duck and the lamb for my main. Thankfully my partner had the duck so I could have the lamb and get a taste of what I had missed. Both were equally tasty and we both enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant cosy with interesting links to local history, Boots the chemist. Would definitely recommend.

Went on a Friday evening without booking but luckily got a table! Food was really good although a little pricy but it did worth the price! Can also go with the fixed price menu which is really good value! Passion fruit cheese cake was so delicious! Definitely recommend!

Wonderful atmosphere and lovely staff. The food was delicious and served beautifully. Mentioned in the Michelin Guide 2017 for a reason! Just make sure you book in advance.

A fabulous little independent restaurant that has a relaxed atmosphere in a formal, fine dining setting without feeling too fancy or overly haute cuisine.
The focus is on the taste of the food, which has always been exceptional. Often local produce with high quality ingredients.
The staff have always been a pleasure alongside.
Thoroughly deserving of a Michelin ‘Bib Gourmand’ for great value tasty dining.

Very nice Restaurant!! A fusion between the classic English cuisine and a more modern approach to it. I of course enjoyed the food, but I have a couple of criticisms related the main courses: they should be simpler and less complicated to taste... Too many flavours and ingredients for a classic of the UK cuisine. Anyway, nice atmosphere and lovely environment.

Yelp
A great place for a big birthday lunch. With a focus on seasonal/local food and locally brewed ales & ciders, it was perfect for a rainy Saturday lunch. The set menu is great value, and we all ate for under £18 (with drink). I was slightly disappointed by the desserts, although the sticky toffee pudding was very large and very sticky. Check out their extensive organic ale & cider menu!

We hadn't been to The Larder on Goose Gate for a couple of years after a very, very poor experience last time. At the reccomendation of friends we returned and we're glad we did. A really warm welcome from brilliant staff and the food was amazing. Easily the best steak I've ever had. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for I guess. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the uncomfortable chairs & dreadful toilets!
