"The Last Point on Koh Ta Kiev The Last Point, opened a few years ago by expats, wants to get guests off the grid. The resort, on a barely developed island off Cambodia's southeastern coast, isaccessible by a 45-minute ferry boat ride.Four dollars anight supplieseachguestwith a comfy, mosquito-net-draped bunk in a bohemian dormitory, with neither electricity nor running water, but with a definite charm. (Private bungalows are availablefor $30.) Afew creature comforts are provided at this quirky outpost—Pizzasare made in the wood-fired outdoor oven, morning showers use filtered rain water, and the bar is lit bya generator at night."

Great secluded place, spacey bungalows and relaxed atmosphere. Managers, workers and volunteers all made us feel very welcome and took great care of our requests and needs. Morning swim just steps away. Recommended for a nice island getaway.

The Last Point quite literally means the last point, you are essentially outside of civilisations and on one of the most picturesque parts of Cambodia! I stayed in a Hammock for the nights I was there and surprisingly slept well, the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach really do help you to sleep. The bar serves excellent food and drinks with 2 happy hours through the day. Ensure you bring enough cash with you for your stay, as well as coconut oil to ward off the sand flies on the beach!

If you are looking for an old-school basic 90s style backpacking spot with a certain Robinson Crusoe vibe, you are at the right spot. Worth checking out the annual The Alternative Festival if you are into Psytrance music as this is the real deal.

If you want to go away from tourists and experience the "Cast Away" experience, this is the place to go. Super laid back, amazing food (homemade bread!!!!) Friendly manager. If you expect super luxury stay at a abandoned island and everything has to be delivered by boat, go to another island. This place is off the grid and everything is build and designed that way, which We love.

Really nice. Very relaxed place, rustic accommodation. Staff very friendly and helpful. 3 minutes walk from the other main resort, Kactus, but without the hippy-dippy wish-wash. Island is beautiful and wild. Swimming and sunrises/sunsets great. Bring more cash than you think - food and drink prices on the island are reasonable but more expensive than the mainland. Little internet reception and electricity - but that's what you should go there for.

The Last Point is set on a great piece of the ocean with good shade, hammocks and sun beds. This location is for those seeking simplicity and a no frills attached kind of stay, electricity runs at only certain times of day and bathing is done from a large tub of water. We absolutely loved our beach bungalow and listening to the ocean as we fell asleep. The food was great and included fresh made pizzas and bread made in their wood-fire oven. Chris and the team made us feel very welcomed and well looked after, we would love to stay again.

I stayed at Last Point mid-December after they just re-opened. I didn’t book in advance but just showed up and the staff was super welcoming and flexible, they quickly set up a bed and mosquito net in the dorm. The place is so so nice, the beach is beautiful and the dorm and rooms look amazing. The food is good, the beer is cold, and the two dogs are cute! There is a super chill vibe at Last Point and I never felt so relaxed (the fact that I didn’t have wifi also helped with that). I planned on staying only two nights but extended to five, and I wish I could have stayed even longer. Even though the island is small and there is not much there, I was not bored for even a second. Waking up every morning with a swim and a coffee is really the best way to start your day. I mainly hung out at last point but also went for a hike in the jungle, jumped off a cliff, did some snorkeling and swam with the bioluminescent plankton. Every morning you can see the sunrise at last point and if you take a 5 min walk you can see the sunset at plankton beach. And most importantly, the staff is 10/10! All the Last Point staff is super friendly and funny and I loved having a chat (or a beer) with them. (Thanks for having me Pagna and Chris!!!) |It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip and I really hope I will come back in the future.

This place is special - magical. It’s almost near impossible to find a place that is still undeveloped, an island you essentially have all to yourself ( and the handful of other guests / friends ). I would highly suggest the Last Point for its uniqueness and ruggedness — and even more so for the kinds of people attracted to this place. Secondly - Pagna is one of the kindest and funniest Khmer ( also one of the most handsome ) that I’ve ever met. Be careful when you play him in chess - he doesn’t cheat but he does have tricks up his sleeve. But him a couple cranberry vodkas if you want to guarantee a chess victory. ||The beach is awesome, the Last Point is amazing - whether you hammock, tent, stay in the open beach dorm, or get a small bungalow - the island is special. I cannot wait to come back this season - bring some more friends - and make even more friends of my own. Miss you Pagna, Koh ta Kiev, and THE LAST POINT!
