If you're planning a trip to Lisbon, The Late Birds Lisbon is a gem that you simply must experience. This charming boutique hotel, set in the heart of the city, offers an unbeatable location that allows guests to explore Lisbon's vibrant neighborhoods, historic sites, and trendy spots with ease. Originally a private home, this beautifully restored property seamlessly blends history with modern comforts. Each corner of the hotel exudes character and tells a story, making it a unique place to stay. The staff are incredibly attentive, going above and beyond to ensure every guest feels at home and well-cared for. One of the highlights of The Late Birds Lisbon is their delicious breakfast spread. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a variety of options cater to every palate, setting the perfect tone for a day of adventure in the city. Don’t miss this hidden oasis in the heart of Lisbon!

The Team at Late Birds were their usual best. They were even flexible about our unusual breakfast timing requirements on this trip. The hotel is a quiet haven in the middle of a busy city. Still very much worth in Winter, despite the weather not allowing the use of the lovely swimming pool.

Pros: Nice place on a relatively quiet street close to everything. Staff was friendly and attentive, and rooms were clean. Breakfast was nice with a lot of great options. The neighborhood had a ton of great cafes and restaurants, as well. Breakfast was nice with a lot of great options. The neighborhood had a ton of great cafes and restaurants, as well. ||Cons: Pool is very small and the garden isn’t very well kept. It’s also shaded for much of the day. There’s an elementary or middle school next door which made the outdoors pretty noisy during the day. Also, due to wood floors in every room and in the hallways there is a lot of ambient noise that transferred to my room. Not suitable for very light sleepers, in my opinion. ||Overall, I would recommend The Late Birds due to the location, cleanliness, value, and staff.

This hotel reminds you where enlies the magic of a boutique hotel. My biggest regret about staying here is that I didn’t have enough time to spend at the hotel! From the second you arrive, the staff make you feel at home. Francisco even took the time to walk me through all the amenities, introduce me to all the staff, and even greeted me by name for the duration of my stay. A big highlight for me especially as a single traveler was early afternoon after the poolside bar opened and other guests were lying out by the pool reading and sunbathing and sharing travel stories. Everyone was so friendly and from such different walks of life. The rooms are cozy yet timeless, and the air conditioning was a godsend during Summer in Lisbon. My room happened to have a skylight in the shower 😍I loved how airy the whole property felt, with unique touches of queer art and ample space to unwind and relax. Above all, the hotel is perfectly situated, with most of the notable gay bars anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes walking (even in Lisbon!). It’s also right off a main street with delicious restaurants, a pharmacy, access to the iconic Tram 28, and more! I cannot wait to stay again soon!

This was our second time and the first during the summer. Our room, surroundings and the staff were all wonderful. We had an awesome time on the sunset cruise and movie night was fun. This is our special place in Lisbon. If you're looking for a place that's near the center, but set back in the neighborhood. This is the place! We Love It!

Very clean rooms and extremely friendly staff. The breakfast is incredible. It's located in a very convenient location for seeing Lisbon and plenty of incredible restaurants nearby. We will stay here every time we're in Lisbon!

Nice hotel in a good location 5 minutes walk to the sauna, restaurants nearby. It was my second stay. Unfortunately my room on the third floor was small and basic. It seemed I had a suite the first time on the first floor. They don’t provide TV but Imacs. Unfortunately they didn’t work, we asked to fix this to be able to listen to some music. They needed to update with administrator user and pw. It worked once. I shut down and the next day it asked again for the update. Very annoying. Wintertime is not so busy, you can‘t make a profit from the garden and little pool. 200€/day seems too high to me. Spring and automn are the better seasons to visit. Breakfast was good though also disappointing depending who is serving you. The girl tends to forget your order or does not show up asking for a refill and keeps chatting in the kitchen. The same happened last year. I would like to go back but I‘m sure they need some changes and improvements. Staff is nice though. They also try to organize events. Last year I booked the sunset cruise, they cancelled and forgot to tell me. So there are some disappointments.

An extremely pleasant stay, lucky us returning guests. Among the highlights, a performance by the rising stars Fado Bicha, in the intimate environment of the swimming pool garden.||For family reasons I needed to have breakfast earlier than the official opening time on one of the days, and the lovely team kindly obliged, letting me into the breakfast room to choose from the items already available at that time.||Hoping to be able to return in a not too distant future.
