The Laundry Room

The interior was quite clean. I came to drop off my laundry at 9 pm. After washing my clothes, when I wanted to put them in the drying area, a red-haired employee was cleaning the area. Even though it was closing time at 11 pm, she practically kicked me out, saying things like, "Don't come in here, I'm cleaning right now," and then threw her broom at a customer for entering the area she was cleaning. Normally, cleaning should be done at 11 pm. I think you could take this into consideration.

Great experience. The area was clean, machines are clean, good environment. On the road and needed to wash my clothes, would return in the future.

I take my comforters and rugs here. Too big to fit in my washer and dryer. Place is always clean. The staff there are always kind when answering questions and affordable when they wash and dry them for me

This is a clean and we'll maintained facility. My friend said the prices are a little higher than some of the other laundry mats she visits. But, the have a santizing systems that cleans the washing machines with every use. That's a pretty cool feature. The dryers work well and I didn't see any machines that were out of service. They have an onsite attendant to help if there are any problems. I will definitely use this facility in the future especially for large comforters and or blankets.

The place is well located near El Cajon and park. It was large and airy. Lots of machines. The larger machines on the middle area. Smaller ones on the outer side. Drawers on both sides. No signs tell you that smaller load machines ($3.75) are on the outer aisles. Machines are easy to use. A big load is $5.75. My wash was done in 30 minutes. The dryers are misleading. It says .50. But that gives you 6 minutes. Typical load would need a lot more. But dryers are big and strong so you can put a lot inside. Free wifi. You can use credit cards. Change machine. And a pay to use toilet.

I come here to wash heavy/bulky things like Pillows and Blankets. Every time I've come, I've always seen the attendant on duty cleaning. I've only had an issue once and that person took care of the situation right away. There are 3 tvs to keep you busy and free WiFi. Plus, it's in the same plaza as a few food places to grab quick snacks. Prices are a little high, but this place is more for bulk laundry not individual loads. They have machines that can fit up to 7x a regular load! Some machines accept credit cards, but not all. And I don't remember seeing any dryers that did. But they do have an ATM machine and 2 change machines available. Pay attention to the specials for the day, and make sure you get your discount.

Take a look through the glass of machine on the edges of the rubber sealer. If you look you can see all the dirt and gunk that is building up from the previous washes. I don’t know how people are saying these machines are clean.

The laundromat is very clean and well maintained. The new owners installed credit card machines on all of the washers, yay no more quarters to wash. Love their happy hour specials on Wednesday. This place is still awesome in 2024.

*This review is for their wash & fold laundry service only.* I have never used the self laundry there. They do an excellent job on the wash & fold laundry. Our clothes always come back clean and folded perfectly. They are fast and fairly priced as well. This business is located in a small shopping center, so there is parking. Lastly, they are located in the same shopping center as a few other businesses, such as a nail place and 711 (as of November 2025 when this review was written).

I've been washing my clothes here since 2020, and this place used to be pretty good! When they sold in 2022, the slow decline started. There are frequently tons of machines out of order. Sometimes the dryers don't output the appropriate amount of heat, even on high. The coin-op function of the dryers often doesn't work well, and you have to bang on the machine to get it to try to either return or accept your quarter. They used to have happy hours on like Tuesday and Thursday afternoons where it was more affordable to do laundry, but that is also long gone with the new management. Overall, it's been disappointing to watch this formerly good laundromat turn into a subpar one.

There were plenty of machines to choose from and I don't think you'll have any issues waiting on machines. The place was well kept in great quality and the value was on the cheaper end as far as laundromats go. There were attendants present as well in case you had any issues.

Very clean and well kept. There were a ton of washers and dryers open and I believe I only saw one that was out of order. The free WiFi and AC make it super easy to pass time and even get some work done while waiting for our laundry. It's awesome to get everything done at once instead of doing one load at a time.

This place has gone downhill since it was sold/under new mgmt. Several dismal visits have shown: - many broken machines - burnt out overhead lights - broken change machines - broken soap dispenser machines. This place is now off of my Laundromat list.

I used to like this place but now they blocked customers from charing their phones while doing laundry and they don't have a chance for rewards anymore. The owners don't want anyone using their power. If you had rewards before, they didn'teven pay ir out. Absolutely ridiculous. What is next, are they going to remove the seat's and baskets.

This laundromat used to be really good. Today was crowded which is fine, but about 8 to 10 washers were out of service. Need to upgrade. I ended up leaving today. Wash and Go to the east used to have the same problem but they have upgraded and have nice new machines. The problem there is no parking.

super clean, friendly, big space. might be slightly pricier than other spots but worth it for the cleanliness and sanitizer in every wash. I drive out of my way to come here because it's so much better than every other laundromat I've been to!

The dryer in my spot is currently broken, have come here a couple of times to dry and wash some laundry. Considering where it's located, I was concerned about parking, but hasn't been an issue (for me). Lots of dryers and machines, it's clean, has wifi, accepts coins and cards.

I have come here over the last 12 years in and off. In the recent visits, I've noticed a sharp decline in customer service and overall upkeep. I left my daughter's work jacket in one of the dryers and came back the next day to see if it was left in the lost and found. The attendant wasn't professional at all, all but shrugged and said, "I don't care" with his attitude. I remember a time when it was a lovely place to do laundry, now it will be demoted to only when I have to.

So the facility itself is nice, but the guy working on Sunday night is rude. Right when you walk in with a piss poor attitude tells you what time it's closing and when asking for help says "it's fine" and walks away. Hope he has a better day soon!

I come here often and it is never too busy mid-morning. Everything is clean and the employees are helpful if you need them. It's in a great area with plenty of parking (can get busy depending on the time of day). You can put in your laundry and walk a few doors down to get a coffee at 7/11 or a cookie next door. Plenty of food options just a few doors down.

I've been a loyal, happy customer here for nearly 10 yrs & I've written a 5-star review for them before....but not now. At the time, it was all true and good. That is, until I got bedbugs from their facility 4 years ago. Oh but wait...it gets even better! I decided to give them a second chance, so after their bug problem was resolved, I went back for my usual fluff & fold. Big mistake! Guess what... I got bugs AGAIN!!! This time it was about 3 weeks ago. I've tried more than once to call, but get no answer. Not only that but the staff there isn't what it used to be, as far as customer service goes. They lost all their best employees. The "manager" is a joke. Rude, lazy, apathic. They have lost a solid, long-term customer forever. You can certainly do better elsewhere.

Horrible management in charge now. Machines are filthy and covered in MOLD! Overpriced paid almost $8 for a 3 load machine. Save your time and money! Also spoke to manager Tyler for a refund and he called me a liar. I asked to show him the photos I took he said he didn't want to see photos. Also told him to come look at the machine himself and refused to come and look at the mold in person. Don't even bother speaking to Tyler he responds like a prepubescent teenager. Tyler is a filthy scammer and wanna be mean girl.

This review is only for the price increase. $22.50 last months monthly cost $52.50 this months monthly cost There is a $30.00 monthly increase to my budget if I continue with this business. I will definitely be looking around. Buyer be ware! My question for the owner is "will you decrease your costs when your SDG&E bill goes down as SDG&E says it will?" I can't afford a $30.00 increase in my monthly bills!

One of the nicest laundromat's around. Just happens to be 2 blocks from my apt. I come here when I've accumulated months of laundry. Don't judge me, lol!!!! Doing 5 loads at once right now. This place is clean, staff (JJermaine) is polite and pleasant. Try this place out when u need a laundry spot!

This is a great laundromat. The people who work here are super nice. The same group does laundry on Saturday mornings & everyone is really friendly & fun. It is always clean. The machines work great! I went in to wash my blankets & the prices have doubled!! I could not believe how much I spent to wash my regular laundry & 3 medium throw blankets. I will fight the crowd at the laundromat closer to my house. I cannot afford the price increase.

It had been a few years since coming to this joint and it's pretty clear that time has taken its toll on the business. It's more beaten down and "broken in" than it was back in the day, but by no means destroyed. While I once came here only for the fluff and fold services, now I only use The Laundry Room for comforters and large items. The big washers and dryers are usually free, they're affordable, and they get the job done. Most household washers and dryers can't handle bedding so this is the only option and thankfully the minimal time that I have to spend here is tolerable with the occasional crazy patron. Hey, it's a laundromat after all...

The Laundry Room is the BEST laundromat in San Diego, here's why: The place is clean and tidy. The folks who wash here like the place. When they spill something, they clean up their mess. I've seen it. All the machines work. There aren't any dramatic quirks. If something flubs up the attendants can fix it. The attendants are nice, and also real. Today, Kat turned my nickels & dimes into a stack of quarters and my frown into smile :) OTHER SAN DIEGO LAUNDROMATS HAVE THEIR DRYERS SET TO SUCK! They suck 6-7-8 quarters out of your pocket and send you home with wet clothes. THE LAUNDRY ROOM HAS THE BEST DRYERS IN SAN DIEGO!!!!!!! I scrimped all my car change for the dryer (1.50 in random coins). That dried all my clothes and there was some leftover. I put them in the car for next time. So... ...yes, go here please.

Friendly attendant/people, at the clean facility. However, some of my clothing had sand after the washing machine finished. Clearly not what I wanted after "washing my clothes". I should've listened to the reviews.

Have been coming here for at least 10 years-the prices have sky rocketed, apparently since the recent gas price hikes-there were notes taped everywhere explaining the increase with a lot of numbers and months of the year-etc..for example: the dryers went from 5 minutes for a quarter to 3 minutes per quarter-that's a lot, now that gas prices have plummeted and everyone is getting a rebate, will their pricing come back down..? I doubt it -I'm totally open to using other laundromats in the future (Otherwise the staff is always friendly and the place is clean)

Super friendly staff and quick service! My order was 2 days out but I got to pick it up the very next day! Clothes was folded and hung up! Smelled fresh and clean!

I actually really love this place for many reasons but I'm giving it a low rating review today in hopes that the owner will read this. I went there last night and did one single load of laundry and used my debit card. I looked at my bank statement this morning online and their credit card machine attached to the washing machine charged me $15.00 ...3 separate times for that one load of laundry. $45 for one load of laundry. For that price I could've done their in-house laundry service where they do laundry for people. But on that note... I saw all these clothes hung up on a rack that were completed with laundering services and they were just out in the open where anybody could just walk up and grab them. Nobody monitoring them and they were by the front door, not at the back where the attendant does laundry for people as a paid service. I kept thinking... I hope nobody steals that person's clothes... I think the owner just needs to really make sure everything is on point and also read the yelp reviews because I've seen some others that say there's mold inside where you put detergent. The place has signs all over saying they pride themselves on their cleaning protocols. I do like this place a lot and it seems very clean to me but I think the owner just needs to make sure it's running with integrity. I can't believe I was charged $45 today for one load of laundry... But the nice thing is - I called and the girl working there told me she would reimburse me if I come by and show her my bank statement on my phone. It's just inconvenient that I have to go do that today before I go to work...

If you're looking to get your laundry done quick this is the place to go!!! I came in after camping for the week and was able to get what felt like a mountain of laundry done in no time. Daily specials & fair prices all the time SUPER clean washers and dryers Plenty of folding table space Plenty of parking Good Wifi and seating to wait Loyalty card It's not in my neighborhood but I will be back here anytime I use a laundromat!!

I've been a customer of The Laundry Room for past 4 years, with a brief hiatus after covid after moving out the area. It's the start of the 2023 year; new year new management, and new prices, and new practices. Pros: Clean Only place with an 8 loader (as far as am I aware) Wi-Fi a Cons: Since being I was really taken back by the prices of the machines. An 8 load load on the machine Costs a whopping 10 dollars. This severely pushing the price point for laundry... The driers were even more outlandish, it costs 50 cents to get the machine started, with each quarter giving you 3 mins of time. Unfortunately at the end of a 15 min load time, my clothes was still damp, and I spread my laundry over two driers. When I've been here before 15 mins was plenty to get clothes scorching hot on high, but today with the dampness of the clothes makes me wonder if they're doing their daily maintenance for adequate air flow. This is the one that really bothered me from a customer service POV. You are a customer at the laundry matt, spending near 15 dollars on laundry and you still require customers to pay for the restroom? I understand why you need to lock the restrooms, the area unfortunately deals with a homeless population, but for goodness sakes allow your customers access to tokens. To me that was the biggest slap in the face.

Staffing is slow and undermining. They don't answer questions, very condescending. ON top of that, good luck getting them on the phones !! Would rather do my laundry somewhere else, can't even get NO ONE on the phone at this location.

I love this laundromat! It's always very clean and I have not seen an "out of order" sign on any of the machines. On one recent visit one of the washers through an error code and stopped the wash at some point ( it was my fault, I accidentally shut the door on some of my clothes so they were stuck to the door) and the attendant let me re-run the wash free of charge since we didn't know where it stopped during the wash cycle. Amazing. They also have card readers on their machines so no quarters necessary, but they do have a change machine if you prefer quarters.

I went to this Laundromat for years and loved the service and prices. I am officially withdrawing my rave reviews. I went today, Thursday at 8am (8/11/2022) and the attendant claimed the restroom was out of order. I don't buy it. If it was out of order, she would have called someone in to fix it, since she would have no place to got to restroom either. She is just keeping the restroom unavailable so she doesn't have to clean it. If this is the way this establishment now treats it's customers, I will use the Laundromat over on Park. Getting one's laundry done takes time and access to a restroom is vital, especially for a Senior like myself.

I've been coming to this laundromat for a little over six months now. The washers/dryers and establishment are always clean and I feel safe as a female while I'm there. The best thing about this place is Jermaine (sp?). He is an absolute joy to be around. He greets everybody with sincerity, friendliness, and service. I've never been here without him offering a hand to others or conversing with customers in a genuine and caring way.

I was in that laundromat for the first time on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2021. The lady that was in charge that day before noon was incredibly helpful, professional, and polite. One of the dryers that I tried to used would not activate the time when I dropped the quarters. She came over and had to push strongly the coin in order to add the time. Sorry I don't have the dryer number, maybe #73, a top one? Only one suggestion. I didn't know that Tuesdays and Thursdays are discount days and that in order to pay $1.75 instead of the regular $2.50 for a double loader, you have to set the washer to perm press. Because it was the first time I didn't get a discount. I learned it from a customer when I was folding. The nice lady that works there had already left and a guy took over her role. Maybe you can post a sign indicating how to activate the discount for those of us who are new to your laundromat? Aside from that it the place was kept tidy considering all the people doing laundry. It was also surprisingly quiet. Everyone was minding their own business. I will go back there again. Thank you to the staff for being on top of things and keeping the place clean.

I've gone to this place for years because I've never had an issue with the washers or dryers. Recently, the dryers have gone up to $0.50 for the first 5 min and $0.25 for each additional 3 mins. I've never been anywhere where you need $0.50 to start a dryer and 3 min per $0.25? It took so much money to dry my clothes and half was still damp. I had to take my clothes home to air dry. I would drive a ways to go to this laundry because it was clean and affordable but spending double what I used to pay and having to dry at home isn't worth it.

By far the best laundromat I've been to. I do laundry at least twice a week here. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I have both used the machines and their fluff and fold services. They're folding skills are on point and my orders have always been done before they're estimated time. I highly recommend The Laundry Room for all your laundry needs!

I was out of town and needing to wash sports uniforms. They have drop off services. However, I did my own, used their free WiFi for some work and was finished very quickly. This place was the cleanest and most professionally managed laundromat I have ever used. In addition, the manager on duty was very helpful!

I only went to this laundromat for about 6 months, but stopped going recently (about a month ago). The staff are very friendly, but I'm afraid they've jacked their prices up wayyyy too much. When I first started going here, they had a special on Tuesday, which seems like they stopped doing, which is a big shame. Then, they went way up on their washers and dryers. I think it was a quarter for 6-8 minutes, then they went up to 50 cents for like 3-4 minutes! That's sad! Oh, and if you're a customer, you have to pay a quarter to use the bathroom. How greedy can this place get?! I found a laundromat a little further with way better prices, and they allow to pay by a phone app. It's a shame because the location for me and the staff are great. Will not return unless they lower their prices.

The lady that works there I'm not sure of her name but she was the most helpful person I got a quarter stuck she was so on top of it I had so many questions she was so on top of it the place is super clean really easy reserved parking spots I will definitely be back!!

This was my go to laundry place for awhile! Ever since new management took over they are officially price gouging their units. Drying laundry now costs 50 cents just to start the machine and a quarter for only 3 minutes of dry time! Insane! Don't come here if you're washing on a budget, or just don't come here at all.

Wow! This is the first time I've visited a laundromat in years and I can honestly say I have literally never experienced this level of customer service maybe anywhere- ever. Not only was the space well lit, welcoming and clean but when we had questions, the host was incredibly accommodating and kind. She offered to stay late to help us, she SAW I WAS SUNBURNED & LITERALLY WENT HOME TO FETCH ME LEAVES FROM HER ALOE PLANT!! If I lived her I would probably do my laundry here very day just because this is the most awesome customer service on the planet. Woooooowwwwweeeeewwewweee

I have been coming to this laundromat for a year without incident. Yesterday, I arrived at 4:15pm on my way home from work to get my laundry done before closing. While I appreciate the intention of this location to do their best to limit the number of people inside at one time, the attendant (whom I have not ever seen before/young woman-brunette) was incredibly rude when I asked if there were any cleaning supplies to wipe down the folding table I wanted to use. Her tone was aggressive, she bluntly told me "no", and directed me to use a sink to wash my hands. Luckily, I had some Clorox wipes in my car, and was able to use that to clean the fold table. I was one of a few patrons wearing gloves, but overall I was incredibly uncomfortable doing my laundry here. I thought the facility was not being disinfected properly by the attendant. Only after I asked about cleaning the fold table did she come by with a rag an shabbily wipes down the front of the two load washing machines. The dryers, folding tables, change and detergent machines never once were touched in the 90 minutes I was there. I know these are stressful times as I too am marked as essential and am working directly with the public during this pandemic, however, there needs to be greater emphasis placed on cleanliness standards to promote a safer environment.

I have been to many different laundromats in different parts of the US and this is by far my favorite. It is clean and presentable unlike others where you see lint on the floor and a storm of belongings everywhere. People here are a lot more tidy. The laundry services are reasonably priced and as far as my experience goes the machines I've used actually work. Another thing I really enjoy is this place accepts card which is such a huge plus because I hate having to go to the ATM and then the coin machine, it's a lot more convenient. I don't see myself going to any other place to do my laundry so long as I reside in San Diego.

I've been coming here for about 1.5 years now and it's good except it's located in a not so good area... So you encounter lots of bums and tweekers. The staff also don't care if those hobos and tweekers go into the facility to use it as a shelter and use the power outlet to charge their phone. Pretty annoying. Machines are great. Works well no complaints there. During the massive heat wave it was extremely hot in there and they didn't have many fans. So doing some laundry in the desert was not fun. Also prices went up on the fluff and fold, it's 90cent on the weekdays (and they never get it done to you the next day, so plan for a 2 day turn around) and 99cent on the weekend. Still cheap but not the cheapest. There's another one down the street that does it for 80cent and they do a good job, but it's located more in the ghetto...with weird ass people... It's strange because I don't even live around here anymore but I still come back. I think I'm too deep in earning the points for a free fluff and fold or some gift cards to restros around there. They got me.

This laundry mat is wayyyy nicer than some of the shit bars I frequent haha!! It's super hip, playing music and keeping an industrial yet trendy atmosphere. Prices are competitive, but for me, it's all about cleanliness is not next to homelessness, so thank the lord this place isn't the dump that most public laundry live up to. *They have TVs and ample parking. There are a few eateries around.

Efficient. Quick and Easy. However, using a public laundromat is far more expensive than I ever thought it'd be just so I can clean and fade my clothes as quickly as possible. Now, after 3 different trips for laundry needs over the last month, I've gotten no less than 6 flea bites each time I'm there. Hot tip! Leave your dogs at home people. They aren't going to help you get your laundry done any faster and bringing in all the fleas from their dog beds and toys just makes all of us suffer. Jerks.

DO NOT GO HERE! The staff member is so rude! I was having a conversation with my friend and she interjected her self and told me that I was disgusting. (I wasn't even talking about anything gross). I then stopped talking cause that was extremely rude and she became confrontational and slammed the laundry cart into the dryers. She consistently gave us dirty looks and made us feel uncomfortable. I do laundry here frequently and will not be coming back. The way I was treated was simply unacceptable.

I have been using this laundry for a few months now because it is clean and you can wash large loads. I have also referred others to the Laundry Room. My only reason for the 4 star reveiw is that while there are signs that state masks are required, the employee (two weeks in a row) does not wear one and two weeks ago while I was there someone came in to collect coins from the machine and no mask. This is a bit conflicting for me. I am a teacher and have to PCR/Covid test all the time to go to work. We wear our masks for hours and no problem. The clientele wear their masks. Only one human client at the time of my visit did not have one on and wanted to close the doors after he came in from smoking out back. Um..... no!

I love this place. It is clean and nice. The staff is super helpful. I get the fluff and fold sometimes and I always have a good experience. Do yourself a favor and use their services.

I recently had surgery! And was unable to do our laundry. We had the idea to bring it to the laundry room and use their fluff and fold service. All I can say is what a luxury. everything came back perfectly folded. I will use the service when ever I'm not able to do my own laundry. They were absolutely fantastic. They told me to be two days and it was one. They well exceeded my expectations and took care of me so well! I thank you.

Very clean place. attendants are on site. Needed help and those around me were nice and helpful. They have discounts on Tuesday and Thursdays on all 2 load washers. That was a pleasant surprise. Seems like a very safe place. They lost 1 star because they charge 25 cents to use their restroom!

Pretty good option if you have not done laundry for a while and the machine at home can't handle the quantity. They have jumbo sized machines that can take in close to eight loaded. They have discounted pricing every Wednesday. Fluff and fold service is a god sent. Just drop the stuff at the desk and come back to a perfectly folded set of clean laundry. Totally worth the price!!! The interior are fine, I with they replace the couches, they are a lil filthy, would have given them 5* if it weren't for the condition of the couches. Happy laundry!!! :)
