The Lawrance

Fantastic experience! Very easy to check in and out of you know, there’s lock boxes with the keycards in. Very well finished rooms with ginormous beds! Aircon in each room, and a brilliantly powerful shower. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay here for our mini-moon. Kitchen facilities a little sparse if you're actually wanting to cook and eat in the apartment. Also the door to the apartment could be better sound proofed. But other than that excellent, would stay again

Came yesterday with my partner and stayed the 1 night it was amazing blown away with the room itself very clean the bed was so comfy and location was perfect Only negative the wifi would not work or soundbard would no connect to our phones even with following the instructions. However be back in a heart beat

One of the best properties that l've stayed at in recent years. The Lawrance is well furnished, has great amenities, unexpectedly spacious, and is extremely cosy. The apartments are evidently well looked after with love and meticulous attention. The 30% discount provided by The Lawrance, to subsidise the cost of parking at the nearby NCP, was appreciated too!

Amazing apartment, felt super safe here and well equipped with a hob, fridge, dishwasher and even washing machine + iron. Very well thought out place, definitely will return if I come back to York again

Having stayed at quite a few 4/5 star hotels, including The Principal in York, this is the best experience we've ever had. Check-in was independent & easy, they provided clear instructions to help you find the place, and then we could come & go as we pleased. The apartment itself is gorgeous, very well equipped and furnished, and clean. One of my favourite parts is the availability of air-con, one for the living area and one for the bedroom. This allowed us to have a warm living room and cold bedroom, which meant I got a good night's sleep (a rarity when travelling). The bathroom then has a heated floor and towel rail, lovely. TV in living room and bedroom with plenty of options to choose from (including Prime & Netflix if you have them), a washing machine/dryer, and a second separate toilet. Overall, just an excellent experience for an extremely reasonable price, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful looking and well located apartments. Very clean inside. However very noisy. The apartment above us was occupied during my stay and I could hear every single footstep/movement and conversation from my bedroom. I could even hear their kettle boil. I’m surprised more people haven’t complained about this in the previous reviews.

Wonderful apartments on a quiet side street. Clean, modern space -- and absolutely the most comfortable bed and bedding we had anywhere on our 2-week trip. Very nice, responsive, and accommodating front desk too -- by email or phone. The only snafus were: 1) when our vent in our bedroom starting leaking condensation onto our things in the middle of the day. Thankfully, our friend was home taking a couple of work calls, so he called maintenance. And 2) I got locked in and couldn't leave as I was running late for dinner, because our key cards that opened our apartment and the gate to get out all stopped working just on that gate. Bit of a freak-out moment for me, but thankfully, phoning the front desk brought someone out to help me get out.
