The Lawson Riverside Suites

We had two rooms so I could spend time with my elderly parents over Christmas, one was a disability room for my parents. Both rooms were double the size of your usual motel unit, with lovely courtyard. Such homely old world charm, the rooms have been appointed and decorated with much care and flair, and were also impeccably clean, which resulted in us having such a beautiful space for us to delight in and relax in together. Having direct access to the walk along the Murrumbidgee River was such a bonus. Management were incredibly kind and supportive of my parents needs. This was my first stay at The Lawson, and I would not stay anywhere else on my return trips to Wagga due to it being such a wonderful above and beyond accommodation experience for my parents and me.

We recently stayed at the Lawson for a family wedding. The rooms were impeccable!! They were spacious, very clean and tidy! The view from our balcony of the river was wonderful and made for a gorgeous back drop to a relaxing moment with my husband before getting ready. The entire family absolutely loved it!

Staying here for a family wedding and think this place is awesome. Value and hospitality is fantastic. Katie the chef made us a top class cappuccino even though we turned up late to the cafe. Would stay here again can’t recommend highly enough. Thanks to the groom Gus for arranging this for us 👌🏻

Good location, friendly staff, spacious room comfy bed however room smelt musty, toilet kept refilling due to leak, tap dripping all night. Keeping us awake all night. Motel happy to fix next day however wanted to do it time convenient to them not us as we needed the room to get ready for a wedding. The plumber that attended was polite and more accommodating. Overall not VFM given maintenance issues and musty smelling room.

Great spot right on the river. Awesome late arrival system and lots of space in the rooms. Staff at Henry were amazing, really enjoyed our very brief stay and will re-book next year on our annual trip to see family 🙂

Stayed one night for a family event in the area. Nice room. A bit of a musty smell ,and a small bed big bathroom. We had a ground floor room with a patio. Easy walk along the river to town for breakfast. Nice quiet stay lots of people coming and going but very quiet. Easy parking

Our upstairs riverside suite certainly suited our preferences.|Peaceful leafy outlook, spacious room, comfortable bed, view of the river from the balcony.|The comfortable lounge/cafe area in the main building and the sunny outdoor courtyard added to the appeal. |Jack and crew were exceptionally friendly and accomodating and the whole place had a comfortable feel.|If you are looking for flash, modern decor and a lively vibe then book elsewhere but we would definitely stay here again if visiting the region.

Stayed for one night in a Queen suite and it was perfect. We had a very clean, quiet and spacious room and all the staff were super lovely! We’ll definitely be back again.
