This was our second stay at the property, and unfortunately, it has left us disappointed once again. Despite the reputation and pricing of a five-star hotel, the overall experience fell far below expectations.
1. Food & Dining Experience
• Live cooking counters: The arrangement is highly uncomfortable, with food being prepared extremely close to the seating area. The strong smell—especially of non-vegetarian dishes—makes it unpleasant for vegetarian guests to enjoy their meals.
• Quality & authenticity: The food lacks the authenticity and finesse expected from a luxury property.• Pizza cheese was sticky and unappetizing, resembling plastic.
• Vegetarian dishes such as dal, rice, and mixed vegetables felt more like mass catering at a local wedding than fine dining.
• Dosa and sambhar were of poor quality, worse than what one might find at a street vendor.
• Baby food options: There were no fresh or suitable preparations for a two-year-old child. The only option offered was khichdi, which is not sustainable for multiple days. Even basic items like apples or bananas were charged, with no complimentary provisions for toddlers.
• Segregation of food: Vegetarian and non-vegetarian items were placed together with poor or invisible labeling, making it confusing and uncomfortable, especially for elderly guests.
2. Room & Hygiene Standards
• On arrival, the blanket had visible red stains. While the staff replaced it after our complaint, the response was indifferent and lacked any apology or acknowledgment of the issue.
• The explanation about “multiple quality checks” was unconvincing, and no guest-friendly gesture was offered to make up for the lapse.
3. Staff Professionalism
• The staff appeared inexperienced and underqualified. Many seemed too young and possibly without proper hotel management training.
• The service lacked warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism—qualities that are fundamental to a five-star hospitality experience.
4. Ambience & Festive Arrangements
• The interiors have remained unchanged for nearly a decade, with no upgrades or refreshing touches.
• The Christmas tree and festive decorations were repetitive and uninspired, offering no sense of celebration or exclusivity for guests staying during the holiday season.
• Unlike other luxury hotels, there were no complimentary festive gestures such as small gifts, treats, or special arrangements for families.
5. Overall Impression
The property seems to prioritize corporate events and promotions over guest experience. The terrace, pool, and outdoor areas have remained stagnant for years, with nothing distinctive or memorable. Despite charging premium rates, the hotel fails to deliver on basic hospitality standards, food quality, or festive atmosphere.

1. Food & Chefs: Review the qualifications of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure professional standards. Authenticity and quality must be restored in both Indian and international cuisines.
2. Hygiene: Strengthen housekeeping checks and ensure staff are trained to respond with empathy and professionalism when issues arise.
3. Baby & Family-Friendly Services: Introduce fresh, healthy options for toddlers and ensure some complimentary provisions for young children.
4. Festive Experience: Refresh decorations annually and create thoughtful gestures for guests during festivals and holidays.
5. Staff Training: Invest in professional training to elevate service standards and ensure staff embody the warmth and attentiveness expected at a five-star property.

Final Note
The Leela Gurgaon, despite its reputation, has failed to meet even the basic expectations of a luxury stay. Unless significant improvements are made in food quality, hygiene, staff professionalism, and guest experience, we will not be considering this property for future stays.
