The Leeway

The Leeway was such a pleasant surprise! found them during a random google search and loved the photos of the rooms and the proximity to the river. Check-in was super easy and the room is well appointed with all you could need to whip up a nice breakfast or reheat leftovers from one of the delicious nearby eateries :) Silvia was our favorite dinner. Phoenicia Diner was a perfect brunch spot. The Leeway makes for easy access to Woodstock and Kingston where you can explore local shops, restaurants and other cultural attractions- I especially liked trying all of the local beers. The nearby reservoir and hiking trails made for scenic walks and birdwatching. We will definitely come back for another stay at The Leeway!

This place is a gem! You can tell that the main motel building has been here from way back, but the rooms are updated with modern comforts while preserving that cozy, camp feel. High quality furnishings. Simple rooms that have everything you need and nothing that you don’t. Excellent location for us: we were bagging our last 4 fire towers in the off-season. Very accommodating service as well. Fantastic!

If you are staying anywhere in the Catskills you would be insane to skip this place! We've been to the area many times scouting for locations for our wedding. We have stayed at so many absolutely wonderful places, and yet none come even close to this hidden gem!!!||We can talk about how cute, clean, and comfy the rooms are, or the beautiful campus you have access to, and we will! But the MOST important thing is the team on site. Tena runs the property and she is the absolute kindest, most welcoming person I have ever met in hospitality (and I worked in hospitality for 13 years). The folks at The Leeway only want you to have an incredible visit and they will do anything to pull it off.||We had our wedding here and I couldn't be happier. But even before that, we came up to stay multiple times. We've stayed in almost every cottage and each one was delightful. Charming touches made us feel right at home. And a private creek area? Fire pits? Hammocks? It's a slice of heaven. I dare you to lie in the grass and stare at the night's sky with a belly full of s'mores by a fire you built with your own hands and tell me you've ever had a better vacation.||Stay here now. The Leeway is a lovely spot for a nature filled getaway. My husband and I stayed here for his 40th birthday and The Leeway did not disappoint. The included coffee, kitchenette, and amazing shower made better than expected. We started a fire in the pit by the creek and hung out there for hours one afternoon. The local is great and the restaurant recommendations are on point. I highly recommend The Leeway for couples and even families with kids that would enjoy playing in the creek and making s'mores.

We had a lovely stay at The Leeway, the cabin was so warm and cozy which was needed for the sudden freezing temperatures. The place was well equipped with everything we needed, clean and such great value! Great location near Phoenicia, Woodstock and lots of good walks / hiking! Would come back for sure!

Amazing getaway from the city! My girlfriend and I loved it so much that we extended our stay for 2 more days. Has all the amenities you need for a cozy cabin experience. Most of all, the on-premise service provided by Tena made everything feel so welcoming and like home away from home.

A special place. Well furnished, beautiful rooms. We stayed in the room with a fireplace and a den, it was perfect. Kitchen was modern, I cooked every night with ease.Walking distance or a short drive from great local shops. Cozy, beautiful, easy to find. We will be back!

We absolutely loved The Leeway! The rooms are perfectly equipped to make our stay cozy, warm, and relaxing. The hospitality was above and beyond with a darling welcome basket with local goods as well as a local guide. We loved walking down to the creek and reading on the Adirondack chairs or hammocks. Super convenient to lots of little spots for eating and hiking. We were so happy here and hope to come back!
