The Legend was a great place to stay. We were there for our honeymoon and upon arrival they upgraded our room. We noticed that the hose bidet had a slight leak and they had someone to the room to fix it immediately. We took advantage of the spa and did a couples massage for 90 minutes. There is a happy hour from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 16:00 to 19:00 with great choices from both beer, mixed drinks, wines, and champagnes. While we did not try anything off of the Italian menu we did sick with the Thai food which was outstanding. We did take advantage of breakfast both mornings at the hotel and it was delicious. They have a wide array of food to choose from. The general manager Eric greeted us upon getting there and could not have made us feel more welcome.

We stayed at The Legend Chiang Rai Boutique River Resort and Spa for two nights and had a wonderful 5-star experience overall. The hotel is located slightly outside the main tourist area, requiring a drive through local neighborhoods to reach the resort, which adds a charming, authentic touch to the arrival. Our room was comfortable, featuring a lovely patio where we could relax. While only hand towels and body towels were provided—no washcloths—it didn’t detract from the overall experience. Since we visited in January, when the nights are cooler, we appreciated the small heater provided in the room. Check-in was smooth and straightforward. Breakfast is served outdoors, so if you’re sensitive to cooler morning or evening temperatures, it’s worth bringing a jacket. Bikes are available for guests to use, making it easy to explore the area. Alternatively, the Chiang Rai Clock Tower is just a 1.2-mile walk (approximately 2 kilometers) from the resort. The resort does not have a hot tub or sauna, but the small gym is functional for a quick workout. All in all, The Legend Chiang Rai offers a serene and comfortable stay with thoughtful amenities, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

I booked The Legend last minute as my previous accommodation did not pan out and wow!! I’m so glad I ended up here instead of my original booking. From the very start, they consistently offered great service from taking my bags to escorting me to my room and showing me around (eg. How to use AC & tv, where pool is, resort services etc.) The rooms are very large and very clean. There is bottled water in each room, however it’s in glass bottles so it’s best not to take out of your villa. The shower was one of the coolest I’ve seen so far on my trip, it’s an entire room on its own that opens up onto the patio. Very clean, no smells coming from the drains and hot water on demand. Water pressure is very good as well. The bed is very comfortable and so are the pillows. I appreciated the mosquito net on the bed, as there were more of them than a hotel in central Chiang Rai due to the resort being right on the river. The greenery and lights really make the stay outside of the immediate downtown worth it. It feels like you’re in another world when you walk around in the evenings. You can even see the geckos out hunting if you look around the walls of the buildings, very cool for kids. Although The Legend is quiet for the most part, because of all the windows & doors you can hear people if they are talking loudly outside your room and I did have a few kids come up and bang on the windows while they were playing - but this is not the fault of the resort. I would say it is kid-friendly here - but if you have loud kids you may want to keep a close eye on them to avoid complaints. The only downside is the resort is not within walking distance to very much if anything at all. However, Grab is very fast and convenient and I would recommend taking one of these to the night market for food instead of eating at the resort. You’ll spend about half as much and enjoy a more authentic meal. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Unlike most guests, we didn't just stay in the hotel for 1-2 nights, but 9! The hotel's location, on the river in the middle of a beautiful green area, is perfect for relaxing and you can still get to all the sights by Grab or Tuktuk. The extremely friendly staff leaves no wish unfulfilled. The management also regularly asks how the guests are feeling. All in all, a perfect stay! As frequent travelers, we have many things to compare and say thank you!

Amazing hotel in Chiang Rai, all rooms are just renovated and great, spacious and super comfortable. I couldn't recommend this place more. A big thanks to the hospitality of the GM Eric and his team, I felt like home in these few days spent here. I will definetely be back and i definetely recommend The Legend to everyone who wants to spend days or weeks in a relaxed, local, but still luxury atmosphere. Dinner and breakfast by the river are the best way to start and finish your day!

This was a gorgeous stay. This was located far enough out to have peaceful surroundings but a mere 15 min walk to the heart of the city. Views of the river are relaxing and calming. Great facilities. Appreciated the pool and gym. Spacious rooms with plenty of towels. Staff are very attentive. Rooms are quiet and secluded.

Don’t let the name food you, this is a nice place to stay. Even if it sounds like it was named by a 13 year old that likes 90s action films. The rooms have awesome water pressure and plenty of hot water. The beds are very comfortable, and the breakfast and onsite restaurants have great food. The staff were also very pleasant. The only caveat is that it’s hard to get to. We had our on vehicle, and anytime we were retuning from an activity, it’s a headache to get to, as there are a lot of dead ends, narrow roads and one way streets to get to it. Even with google maps, it was always the most difficult place to reach on our 1700 km journey.

Stayed for three nights in mid January. I got the impressions small tour groups use this hotel as there is ample parking for the buses. The hotel never felt crowded as the groups are doing daytime tours. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The day bed and outside seating is an added bonus especially if you plan to stay more than couple days. The rooms are shaded, which meant we didn’t need to turn on the ac which was a nice change. The pool patio has mixed sun and shade and the pool has a nice slope to get into it. There’s comfortable seating on the river to enjoy the views. Breakfast has a mix of Thai and Western food. This is the time to order the Americano’s and Thai tea’s as they are included during the breakfast buffet. Evenings had 2 or 1 happy hour which made the wine and cocktails reasonable. The highlight for us was the mountain bikes. We were on them everyday. It’s so easy to pedal to town. The roads are wider and aren’t terribly busy so it felt safe to cycle. Much different than Chiang Mai. We even cycled to the Blue temple and explored the riverfront. There are other dining options outside the hotel if that is of interest and near the 711, some street food vendors. I had the best mango sticky rice. It’s a great option for a location outside to the downtown core.
