The Leta Santa Barbara Goleta, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Finally found some time to share our experience at The Leta. We were celebrating our anniversary with a weekend stay in Santa Barbara and wanted to bring our dog with us. Looked up pet friendly hotels and decided on The Leta. I emailed asking about a room on the first floor so that it would be easier to let him out, which they were able to accomodate. Upon arrival we were greeted by Mackenzie and she even greeted our dog Spiegel by name. He perked up real fast and was excited to say hi. We got to our room and there was a cute arrangement for our anniversary and even a dog bed waiting for us. Loved the photo of our pup! The room was perfect for our stay. There was an area with grass by the pool for our dog to walk around, but the designated pet relief area is in the corner of the parking lot. We just walked him around the neighborhood which was nice. Overall would stay here again if back in the area. The only down side is that it is in Goleta and to get to the main city of SB you have to drive, but it's only 15-20mins so not bad.

I will start with the negative. We were not there long enough!!! What an absolutely adorable place! As a Hilton diamond member, the staff called me before we checked in to let me know that they were upgrading us to a suite. What a treat! I was already excited because our room had a little patio that overlooked the pool. The staff was absolutely incredible and so helpful and cheerful. We loved that they had a restaurant and bar on site and lots of cute seating areas outside. There were even fire pits! The rooms were cozy and comfortable. I highly recommend this place for a couples getaway or even a family getaway. I truly cannot say enough about the helpfulness of the staff. We were very sad that our stay was only one night.

It was an enjoyable stay. I think it's an old converted motel, as I had a room on the ground floor with cars parked out front my window. 😅 But inside it was fully updated and quite posh/trendy looking. The lobby was also kitted out and seemed comfy. I ate at the restaurant for breakfast and it was ace 10 outta 10. I looked at the pool and it had nice Santa Barbara vibes. All in all, I would consider staying here again. But I think I'd bring ear plugs because cars can be noisy and the walls & door aren't soundproof.

We had an excellent stay at The Leta in Santa Barbara. The property has a charming, rustic ambiance, and our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. I especially enjoyed relaxing on the patio with a cup of tea—it was such a peaceful and inviting spot. Dante was exceptional—warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay and provided thoughtful recommendations for local dining and attractions. Overall, our experience was outstanding, and we look forward to returning on our next visit to Santa Barbara.

Every thing is awesome about this little gem! The vibe is very cool and relaxing. The staff is accommodating. The rooms are the just the right size and offer a soothing ambiance. The pool area is resort-style. The bar/restaurant is welcoming their staff are friendly and work hard to make you feel at home. Five minutes into my stay, I wanted to come back. Definitely will stay here the next time I'm in this area. I urge anyone to try it at least once.

Dean at the front desk, Victoria, Chelsea, Sinica and others at The Caya restraunt: everyone is close-knit, warm, welcoming, and ready to give you a wonderful stay. I'd highly recommend both the hotel and the restraunt for business or vacation. Music on most Fridays and Saturdays at the bar. Festive themes. A fire pit! Enjoy your stay.

Decent hotel for a one-night stay. The staff were very welcoming and professional. The room was nice but quite small. We had two large suitcases that we couldn’t lay flat without moving some of the furniture around. There were also some annoying noises coming from the walls for most of the night. The parking area is huge but expensive. Still, I would recommend it for a short stay.

Very friendly staff,easy check in . Plenty of parking. The rooms are very Clean and a great size. They have coffee and a fridge and television. They have a bar woth a lot of options including a cute record store. They have dining available for breakfast lunch and dinner . The pool was perfect at 80 degree and a good size and a little over 8 ft . Will definitely be back . Price range was a little more than what id like but they make up for it with all the amenities. They are very professional and they all look like they love their jobs .

This is a Hilton property so I had a slightly different expectation of the hotel. This is actually a motel that was built in the 60s or 70s. External doors, small rooms, and a center courtyard with a pool, trees and the outdoor space of the on premises restaurant. It wasn't bad, just not what I was expecting. The room was super clean and not worn out. The blinds were adequate and operated well. The housekeeping staff were super efficient and fast! Be prepared that the rooms are small. Two queen beds a sitting chair and a dresser. That is about it. But, you are in Santa Barbara/ Goleta so you are not there to be indoors. I would recommend getting a room that faces outward as the pool facing rooms get a lot of noise from the screaming kids in the pool. Some folks don't mind but I prefer a more serene experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. Not my typical choice for a hotel but I would stay here again.

We stayed here on a Saturday night for a weekend away in the area. We personally really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has fun retro vibes and is clean. That said there could be some improvements and the price might be a bit high for the accommodations. See below. The rooms were well kept and the grounds were also nice. There's a restaurant and bar in the hotel and a beautiful pool with plenty of space to lounge about and read a book while enjoying a drink or some food from the restaurant. The pool was beautiful and clean. Not too small either. My wife was very happy that the rooms had high end shampo and conditioner. We booked a room with a king bed but when we got there we were told that there were no rooms with king beds and instead we'd get a room with two queens but as an "upgrade" we'd get a private patio with a view of the pool. Which we did. It was nice but I would've appreciated being told there were no kings when I booked. The hotel is obviously a motel converted into a more upscale hotel meaning the walls are thin (like paper thin!). This caused me a bit of trouble sleeping but it was fine and didn't make a huge difference as luckily we only had one shared wall and the neighbors were relatively quiet. They also charged $15 extra for parking which felt totally unnecessary as the lot was more than half empty the entire time we were there. Note to Hilton at least give your honors members free parking at this locale. Overall we would definitely consider staying here again but not without some sort of discount most likely. The price is just a bit too high for the thin walls.

I don't normally leave reviews, but felt compelled to in this situation. We enjoyed our stay at The Leta, and it actually was our second time there. The property is great, the grounds are nice, the rooms are comfortable, and the pool and fire pit next to the bar are a nice touch. It is also dog friendly! That said, the administrative and management team were incredibly difficult to work with and I feel like there were not accommodating at all given the money we spent to stay there (the front desk staff were kind). We had a lot of our wedding guests stay there and we ultimately felt like they did not work with us at all to make it a pleasant experience. We even got charged for parking per night even though I felt like we were told we would not be. While we would happily stay here again because of the location and value, we are reluctant to do so. My guess is they won't even care about this review (the feedback survey they sent after our stay expired shortly after we received it).

We stayed at the Leta for one night since it was more affordable than other dog-friendly hotels in the area. The hotel looks like an old Motel 6 that they updated to a mid-century-inspired hotel. There is a cool retro car out front and a record store in the lobby. I traded my 2nd-floor pool view for a 1st-floor room In the back to have easy access for our baby and senior pup. The rooms felt older and the walls are thin. Pros are that this hotel is very dog-friendly and does not charge you an extra pet fee. Also, Tesla charging is located in the back of the hotel and parking is free too! ( cool retro car air fresher as a parking pass) State Street is about a 10-minute drive south which is great if you want to grab dinner. Also, Albertsons, CVS, Crumble Cookie, and lots of coffee shops are close by I wouldn't rate this a 4-star hotel but a good enough stay is you just need a place to crash.

this is a renovated old motel, with a beautiful pool area and decent restaurant and bar. the rooms have been updated from whatever they were, but there are clear signs that they could use some more updates. it's a little thrown together and tacky, and staying in room 220 there was soap scum all around the shower faucet and drain. it had old remodeled furniture, a table with a seat but no sitting chair or couch. it could use a little work but not the worst i've seen. the main areas are much better and maintained well. it's in a convenient location but it looks much nicer on the website than it is. beautiful views, great drinks + food though.

Booked this hotel bc it was close to the Santa Barbara airport and we had an early flight. Parking is ample and there is a bar and restaurant. They also have a pool, some outdoor games and outdoor fire pits. All the rooms are outside so you're going to hear noise outside your room. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

I love this spot, super friendly to humans & dogs. Everything is exactly what you needed and none of the hassle or expense of downtown SB hotels. Will always stay here when visiting kids at school.

Terrible stay here. We stayed for the weekend and at $400 per night, regretted it. Its a converted motel, thin walls and not worth putting the "HILTON" name on it. There are much better options at a fraction of the price. Also the service left much to be desired. Never again

I'm giving this place 5 stars . Because I love the decor . I truly felt I was in a different time period 50'-60's . They have a record room in the lobby . They have happy hour from 3 to 6 in the bar outside. Happy hour in the other bar is from 4 to 11. This was on a Friday night . They give a complimentary wine at the hour at 5 o'clock. The wine was less desirable. They have good size heated pool . No Jacuzzi. . Small weight room with a few bikes . My only complaint was, I felt the walls were kind of thing I could hear people talking . And I could hear the maids, pushing the carts along the room. Other than that I had a stay there And friendly staff !

The property is beautiful &, while there is not much to do (or eat), in Goleta, itself, Santa Barbara is quite close. We found the staff friendly & genuinely interested in addressing any concerns--of which there were only two...we were given two lotions but no body wash & one of our lamps had some faulty wiring. The restaurant is actually worth eating in--at least the one breakfast we had, there--& being surrounded by palm trees in the pool was heavenly. Two critiques: while the sliding doors to the bathroom are a space saver, they make a lot of noise in the middle of the night, when one's companion may be sleeping & the shower head is ridiculously low. I can see a sink or urinal being low to comply with ADA requirements, but since the purpose of a shower is for water to be falling on one from above, it seems like one area where erroring on the side of placing it higher would make it more accessible to people like my partner & I, who are 5'10" & 6'.

This was a pleasant surprise. I came in for a snack and a beer before dinner but ended up getting The Best Espresso Martini of my life and an amazing tri tip sandwich! Every once in a while, "bar food" and drinks will be so impressive that you are seriously in awe...like wait where am I? and the service! 5 stars too! Seneca was on fire, a true mixologist who made me the beautiful, perfect Espresso Martini. If you're in the area or anywhere close, it's worth a stop.

This Hilton is poorly managed. All the vinyl records and bohemian charm is completely ruined by bizarre choices by the staff in charge. Some hotels take pleasure in hearing their customers and trying to help. Others try to get by with the bare minimum. When confronted with questions about bad customer experiences they run. This hotel chooses to handle their guests like they are a step child who has overstayed their welcome. It's a shame. This place could be great. Don't stay here if you have kids or need help with anything. They won't help you.

I am a HILTON HONORS DIAMOND MEMBER as well as a HILTON GRAND VACATION Owner and I am appalled at the rude behavior I received at this hotel. The front desk worker was extremely rude and unprofessional and when asked to speak to the manager, low and below it was the guy sitting next to him who was just as rude. Both of them were doing absolutely nothing but sitting behind a desk with no guests on site. These two rude, lazy idiots won't be working much there much longer, and good luck to the next business that hires them. They should work in a where house where they have no contact with people. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I would like to give this 2.5 stars actually...the 3 is generous. THE PROS: Front desk staff was friendly and lobby/restaurant areas are very cute. Free parking and morning coffee. Meal credit at their onsite restaurant - $10 per night. THE CONS: BUT ...The room on the other hand was very disappointing. Floor felt sticky and dirty and room felt generally not very clean. Two earwig bugs were found during our stay...not a lot but there are probably more. Furniture was cheap and run down with gouges and sticky non-functional drawers. The bed was soft and saggy. Tiny mini-fridge that needed a defrost and no microwave in the room though I'd specifically requested one and told it would be available. I'm also wondering what qualifies this as a 4 star hotel? The towels were rough and scratchy and so was the toilet paper...probably TMI but this caused significant discomfort (!). Four star hotels have SOFT FLUFFY TOWELS AND TP that does not hurt your business. Restaurant had cute pet-friendly patio but service was terrible and food very average and overpriced. I wanted this to be a great place but unfortunately cannot recommend it. Rooms need some love and need to be cleaned :)

We are out here in Goleta for a funk fest , we found this little spot for a quick one night stay ! When arriving we were greeted by Codie at the front desk , very kind very informative and checked us in quick ! Room was clean had the cutest shampoos flavors. There's a restaurant and bar very cute and cozy !! It made me feel like I was on vacation !! Everyone here seems so happy. I was in love with the bar area ! I will definitely return to this spot !

It's hard to compare to when this was the Goodland, because it was such a great part of the old Kimpton brand (before that became a shell of itself as part of IHG.) New owners smartly kept most of the same touches as the Leta. Rooms are expensive but everything in Goleta is overpriced - better than the Best Western next to it and not that much more expensive. And no pet fee is amazing. Pool and restaurant are nice and having a separate cozy bar is cool. I don't get why people complain about the location; it's nice having shops and restaurants nearby. Also a very nice neighborhood behind the hotel walk pets. Will say it has lost a step though. Bathroom felt a bit tired. There is also a moisture problem (from the last couple years of rains) that seemingly drives bugs to the rooms. Nothing too bothersome but nobody wants an earwig walking around.

Our stay was for two nights during our daughters spring break. We traveled along the coast, visiting colleges along the way. I originally planned to stay at the Tapestry in Santa Barbara, but after looking at reviews of The Leta we decided to give it a go as it was closer to UCSB and away from the congestion of State St. The hotel is nicely decorated, the staff are friendly, the pool was warm, the shower had good water pressure, and you can park right next to your room! The room though... not great. Once you leave the lobby/restaurant area it feels like you are at an inexpensive roadside motel. The walls are really thin - both between rooms and to the exterior. We could hear every person coming and going to/from their room or car. The noise from adjacent rooms was ok most of the time, but bad when the neighbors dog wouldn't stop barking. After our first night in the room we left for the day to tour UCSB, go to the beach & shop downtown. When we returned we were unable to get back into our room. We had to put our bags back into the car, trek back to the office to find out why. They kind of said "oops", and reissued cards - no explanation or apology. Like a few other reviewers mentioned the doors were difficult to close fully for the lock to engage. I felt very unsafe. If I had been traveling alone, I would have insisted a new room or switched hotels. Before bed on night two we noticed quite a bit of mold on the ceiling above the bathroom sink. There were lots and lots of gnats & small flying bugs. We let the reception desk know when we checked out. We used the pool one late afternoon. There was work being done to the space, but the pool was open and the workers were wrapping things up. The gentlemen sat at one of the pool tables with a table full of beers, chatting and smoking while watching the teenage girls swimming. It was uncomfortable. The other group didn't last long once they realized they were watching them. Soon after we got our daughter out and left too. I let the front desk know about this too. I think I may consider staying there in the future if the doors/locks were addressed, or I stayed in an interior room - facing the pool. That would have felt safer. The hotel has potential.

Just returned from 2 nights at this terrific property. It's a redesigned motel w a super pool w cabanas at no extra charge. The room decor is beautiful - esp great sheets. Had 2 meals here including dinner w a delicious steak and beet/burrata salad that would rival anything in SB. Friendly and professional service throughout. There was a snag w my checkout which was resolved very generously in my favor. I'll be back and highly recommend.

I recommend downloading the Hilton Honors App prior to your visit. My partner and I were visiting Santa Barbara/Solvang and booked a night at The Leta. The lobby is very welcoming and check in (+ out) was pretty easy! We booked for one night and it was pretty average. Nothing too special, just a place for us to sleep and do our own things. The bed was comfy and felt fairly clean. We tried to watch Netflix on the TV, but the TV only has cable (FX, Disney, Nickelodeon, PBS Kids, etc.). I requested towels via Hilton Honors app, and it took 30+ minutes for them to deliver it to our door. The structure of the hotel reminds me of a modernized motel. Luckily, my room was upstairs so no issues on my end! I've seen a few reviews complaining about little critters crawling around on the first floor. Pretty average place to stay, but I wouldn't want to stay here longer than needed.

5star bar and Restaurant. The service is top notch Senica and Marissa were so delightful Marissa desert recommendation was on point Apple pastry with ice cream so fresh and the drink mastery by senica were amazing . This hotel Hands down understands what service is all About ... the connection ... the smile ...the passion to take pride in what you do and where you work and making sure the guest experience is memorable in a positive way. This is only the second time at this location but my 60th Hilton stay this year in Santa Barbara and the Leta rates in my top 10 . Maybe in my top 2 ...Great job Hats off and I plan on rebooking here again .

Spent the weekend here to celebrate my wifes birthday. This boutique hotel was such a great find. The second we walked in they greeted is with a glass of wine. on Friday night we had a wonderful dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was fantastic and extremely reasonable. What made the meal the most enjoyable was our waitress Sybille. She was so sweet when she learned it was my wife's birthday she insisted on us coming back the next night and she made her a custom cake! It was delish and made with love. In addition the hotel had live music. The band was fantastic and me and my wife danced the night away. I cant wait to come back

Had a super nice stay here during my Santa Barbara trip! My husband and I wanted to stay in a dog friendly hotel that wasn't outrageously expensive for New Years weekend and this was a great spot. Hotel was nice and quiet, I like that it is close to everything we wanted to do but still more secluded. Rooms are a bit small but not bad. Very cute tiny record shop in the lobby and cool little restaurant, Caya! Didn't swim as it was a bit too cold for me but the pool looked awesome too. Nice staff as well!

We stayed here very recently, and it's a gorgeous property for sure. We had the two-room suite near the pool. Room had nice features but was a bit run down compared to expectations. The shower had two shower heads but one couldn't be used because it would spray right out of the shower. Also, it seems that there was a large gathering of college students who were pretty loud most of the day. Despite the shortcomings, it a gorgeous property, a nice staff, and a short distance to Santa Barbara and the beach.

The leader does not disappoint. I was there for two nights for business. You can tell it's been a refurbished 1950s 1960s mid century property. Hylton always does properties right. The restaurant is actually incredibly good. There's fire pits and I really nice center courtyard, swimming pool. I love the old station wagon parked in front. I'll definitely be staying again. It's close enough to Santa Barbara but far enough to be from the craziness.

Provide more than one small chair in room. Asked for one and was told not another one on property. Not botique in my opinion. Just a redo of an old Holiday Inn

I had a wonderful stay at the Leta Halloween weekend. The lobby was cozy and inviting and they offered a complimentary beer upon check in. We stayed Halloween weekend and they had live music, face painting, and beer tasting. Every night they had wine hour from 5-6 and staff was very friendly. The room was clean and had a refrigerator. I requested a microwave and they brought it right over. Parking was free and there were ample spaces. The pool was heated and it was lovely to swim at night. My only regret is that I didn't try the food at their restaurant. The chicken sandwich and burger was supposed to be great... next time! I cannot wait to return soon!

We checked in for my wife's birthday and from the moment we walked in - you can tell this place is special. The quaint rooms have very cute furniture - looks so quiet and serene My only complaint was that the pool had lots of stuff floating - my wife says it's from the trees above Rooms are cute - lobby is gorgeous- an antique car placed in front of the lobby great for some insta pics Service we encountered was great - Gabriel at the front desk was very informative and professional Highly recommended!! If we are in the area we will come again

We enjoyed the huge pool (with an actual 8 ft. deep end!), landscaping, and retro boho decorating. About 6 miles to the beach park in Santa Barbara. Front desk and management were busy but very responsive. Property has to be a 1960's Holiday Inn, nostalgic and updated at the same time.

Two Stars for the food, one extra star for our accommodating server. This was my first time eating here when it has changed to The Leta. Ordered the Lychee Frose slushie, The Leta Burger, Coconut Shrimp, and Crispy brussel sprouts. I enjoyed the slushie, but there was no hint of lychee in it. Just tasted like sweet frose. The coconut shrimp was okay, but nothing special. The cole slaw that came with it was pretty tasteless. The Leta burger was pretty standard, and I enjoyed the fries with their bbq sauce. Now... for anyone ever considering the brussel sprouts... BEWARE. This is one of the most foul things I have ever tasted in my life. The portions were large, so I managed to not eat any of the cheese for a few bites. Then when I finally tried the cheese it legitimately tasted like puke. I think it was supposed to be bleu cheese, but it was more like vomit cheese. I've had bleu cheese a number of times in my life and this cheese was absolutely disgusting. It was so bad I had to spit it out, then gargle my mouth with water and got up to spit it out in a plant on the patio. I would've actually puked at the table if I didn't do that. Good thing the server was nice enough to take it off the check, but wow that was gross. Nice ambiance, but their food is like getting those jelly beans where you might get something yummy, or might get something disgusting. Thank you to our server for being accommodating and nice I came here several years ago when it was Outpost and should have learned my lesson back then when I found a rubber band in my food.

Very nice upgraded old motel. Good breakfast. Pool abs patio are very inviting but no hot tub. Will come back again.

The Leta is a quaint beachy mid-century modern inspired hotel, with nice perks like complimentary beer & wine, is pet friendly, and has an attached restaurant with delectable dishes. The location is in a quiet neighborhood central to several beaches, grocery/shopping centers, and is roughly a 12 minute drive from Santa Barbara. With that being said, our experience was subpar. We chose to stay here because of the attractive photos, and that we could bring our pup. The price didn't feel quite justified, as there was 0 turndown service, our room smelled of faint cigarette, and the lock on our door wasn't working properly. We even put in a maintenance request and never heard back from the front desk again. This is not meant to disparage any employees, as many of them were really pleasant. Perhaps things will turn around when Hilton fully integrates itself in the hotel(?). You can get rewards points if you're a member.

Do not stay here. The price is absolutely ridiculous for what it is. If you can get these rooms under $150/night, it might be worth it. As others have mentioned, the vibe really feels like a former motel or 2-star complex being dressed up as a 4-star hotel. Blogs will till you that the location is walkable, but what they're really saying is that you can walk on the edge of a busy street til you get to a nearby strip mall where you can get a new T-Mobile phone or hit up a laundromat. It's a joke. The rooms are small. Do you like hearing people poop? Perfect - this place is for you! Your room comes with sliding door bathroom access that sits nearly an inch out from the actual wall (meaning you can "close" the door and still stick your fingers out into the other room. If you want your 4-star room to be on a second floor with no elevators and you want it to feature a view of a crappy parking lot then many of these are for you. Maybe you'll get lucky and get a pool view so you can soak in all the Palm-Springs-without-the-actual-fun vibes Goleta has to offer. Oh yeah, and that's the other thing... THIS IS NOT SANTA BARBARA. It looks like frickin' Van Nuys out here. Stay somewhere else for your money.

So cute! Stayed here because my daughter had a softball tournament in Santa Barbara and the booking was last minute. Codi at the front desk was really professional, the room was spacious and the decoration very tasteful. Would absolutely stay here again. Didn't try the restaurant but the menu looked tasty.

OMG, I love this place. I went here for my anniversary. It was beautiful and peaceful. We will go back and stay longer.LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

What an absolute dump. It's a sh*tty old motel that Hilton has tried to hipster up. They should be ashamed at calling this a 4-star hotel. It's a two star on a good day. The rooms are small, the walls are thin and everything about it fills me with regret. I am so disappointed I was duped into booking this terrible place. Don't believe the pictures.UPDATE: When we came back from dinner, we tried to switch the lights on in our room. None of them worked. None. Maintenance was responsive and fixed the issue, but wow, this hotel is insulting bad. I'm a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at Hiltons all over the world. This is by far the worst hotel I have encountered

Suuuuper meh. For the price this place is not this business. Rooms were old and not very well up kept. It's going for a retro vibe which kind of works mainly cause they put a paint job over the original hotel and are charging $250 a night. The restaurant and bar were fine. Nothing special. Service was fine. For the money try something more modern.

A gross dump. Avoid if you can. There is a new Marriott nearby in goleta that is a million times better. This place is filthy and rundown. For a 3 night stay - the janitorial staff kept all the cleaning supplies/carts and trash at the stair area and in the hallways, you can barely get to your room because of trying to avoid touching all the janitorial and housekeeping supplies. I have never seen such craziness. Don't they have a storage room for all that stuff?? Avoid avoid avoid. Insects in room, room filthy, AC not working and they have no fans (so a nice stifling room), untrained staff that look to be about age 16. The list of horrendous too long to post.

You could have told me this was a motel 6 and I honestly would have believed you. No microwave, minifridge wasn't big enough for any leftover boxes, couldn't find an iron, and rooms didn't feel very private. Customer service was nice, and housekeeping was always perfect Wouldn't justify $240/night for a motel experience though

This place is wonderful! Definitely could use a little tiny help with the doors on the rooms (a little draft) but everything else was perfect!! We had a little family getaway and this was the perfect spot to stay! The beautiful lobby, cool record room, amazing vintage car in the front and perfect size pool! The staff was wonderful and polite/helpful! I would definitely come back again and again!

Had breakfast, lunch and dinner here over the weekend I stayed in Goleta. Cozy, delicious, consistent, great staff.....cute pups and happy people. Well done on the motel conversation. Don't miss the trivia night if you happen to be in the area.

Stayed here for my 27th birthday last year in 2022 and it was absolutely beautiful, easy check in, even complementary wine and beer! Beautiful cozy unique ambiance of the overall hotel and room! The shower was my favorite! thanks Leta!

We stayed here the weekend of the big storm-Feb 3-5. Room was filthy. We had multiple long dark hairs in our shower. I asked for the shower to be cleaned and we left the premises in the storm to let them do so. Came back, the shower was not cleaned. Asked again to have shower cleaned, left room, came back and again nobody had cleaned the shower. Asked a third time and it was finally cleaned. When we went to check out Sarah said she would be processing a 20% discount on our stay because of the inconvenience. This has not happened. I have called the Leta over 3 times to follow up. They have never gotten back to me nor have they applied the discount. Management and hotel are disappointing.

The good: they have records and a record player that you can check out like at a library. The location is really close to UCSB - we were going to a concert there so it's a super quick drive. Parking is plentiful. The bad: overpriced for what it is - my BF used his Hilton points. Restaurant is hit or miss. It's a remodeled motel. And the "free" stuff is hidden in resort fees. We were on the pool side on the first floor so our stay was pretty decent and surprisingly quiet. Staff were friendly from what we gathered. I dunno if we would've stayed here at the going rate but since we had points, it was a decent stay for a quick weekend getaway. The location also sneaks up on you pretty quickly.

I'll keep this to the point. I've employee I've met here has been friendly, pleasant and welcoming. The price was fair and room had everything we expected. As far as a place to stay with 2 kids. This place was perfect for amenities and having lots of stuff close by (Trader Joe's, CVS, Food etc ). No, this isn't especially close to the beach but if you're willing to drive to State Street and the beaches, you're golden. Pool didn't have a hot tub which is a bummer but I'm having a great time and would highly recommend if you're coming for something UCSB related because it's 7 mins from campus.

Where do I start. This place has the appearance of an updated Motel 6. I usually stay at Hyatt but thought it would be fun to try something new since my friends booked their room here. Never again. Apparently maid service needs to be requested which is fine but there is no cut off time posted. 2 pm was too late. I asked for towel service. Those were just left on the table. Body wash dispenser was empty too. Also they only had one robe for a 2 adult room. This is why I only stay at hyatts

Wow I'm so surprised this place doesn't have at least 4 stars. TLDR: Good hotel with great staff for a great price. Staff and Amenities: I would like to say that the staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is free wine at night and I believe the hotel comes with free coffee and tea in the morning until 11am. Decor: The rooms and lobby are all decorated nicely, I like that there is a coat rack and A/C next to the bed cause I tend to get hot at night. The only thing I would say is I wish the sink area was bigger. It was definitely "designed by a man" because there was no space for any of my makeup and skincare. Also the room did not have a tub. Location: Loved that is was right next to Calle Reale Plaza. We easily went to Trader Joe's and grabbed food across the street. Negative: We saw two plant bugs in the room but probably normal cause all the rain they have when we were there. Small sink, and no tub.

The restaurant was incredible Our server cared about the food she was serving and how we felt this evening Her name is Sybille and we can't wait to return for her hospitality

Family wedding stay, The Leta treated us great! First of all the bartender I don't know her name, but was insanely good. For an open bar dinner, night before the wedding she handled the large crowd as an expert. Every drink was made perfectly and with a smile, we all were so impressed. The restaurant has a great brunch, and cute outdoor space. I loved my salad and the fish tacos were quite good. As far as the rooms, they were clean and basic. They could use some better lighting, and would be nice if they re filled the body wash dispenser. This hotel isn't cheap so expected to not have to ask for body wash or would have given 5 stars. It's a great location l, with parking and can walk to many restaurants. Also for dog lovers, this is a pet friendly hotel and there's a decent outdoor pool.

The young blonde girl who works at the front desk is quite rude and arrogant - avoid her if you can. We're traveling with our dog and had a question about storing a few small packs of dog food in the hotel's freezer (asked politely and wouldn't have been offended if we were nicely turned down). She was very unaccommodating and defensive, while the rest of staff was being quite nice and at least making an effort to help out (although sadly, they didn't seem to have much of a grasp on the rooms and overall hotel facilities). I'm not sure why anyone would work in the customer service industry if they're so inconvenienced by serving customers. Our room itself was clean and relatively spacious. The location is decent, but not super central - you do have to drive to get to downtown Santa Barbara.

We had an over night stay. We thought this hotel was nice and was going to treat ourselves to a nice hotel. Certainly looks nice in the pictures on the website. The bed and pillows were very comfortable which is a plus. They gave me complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste. They have free showtime TV which is a plus. I think that's about it. The staff at check in were very nice though I'm not sure they are familiar with the hotel rooms. At check in, they said your room is in front of the pool when in fact is in front of the parking lot. So I thought I'd call and verify and they said they were not sure of where the rooms are.... So they checked and they said no available rooms in front of pool. Ok... so you apologized for not knowing where the rooms are but when you checked, you saw there was no available room in front of the pool. Bullshitting a bull shitter . Ok. I'm staying over night and willing to let that go. The next morning, the coffee machine didn't work and one of the glass is cracked at the lip! I had no coffee. Had to go out and buy. $450.00/ night. I expected a little better. So no on this hotel. I would give it one star but the beds were comfortable. So two star. The rest is ridiculous.
