The Library Food Club | Peruvian

This is a magical, romantic little restaurant. Great for an intimate date night. The new Peruvian menu has some niggles that can be ironed out. The Cerviche lacked punch and acidity. The lamb shank was over salted. The Dulce De Leche cake would benefit from a drizzle of some evaporated milk/thinned condensed milk to make it more reminiscent of a Tres Leches cake. On its own it was a bit dry. Nothing that can’t be elevated to a better rating. Will be back to see how this menu progresses.UPDATE: Charge issue resolved my owner swiftly. Greatly appreciated.

It was my first time here, And i must say the entrance to the venue is pretty cool. The service is amazing as well from staff being very attentive to us and our orders and the complimentary snacks was awesome, until we actually ordered from the menu. I was left a bit dissapointed in the hype of the menu to what was served, we ordered the trio of tacos (Birria Tacos, Line Fish and pulled pork) and I must say the food needed seasoning, The presentation of the meals are great. All in all its a great concept, just the food needs to be a bit more in terms of taste.

We booked months in advance and were wowed by the unique concept, great service, and fantastic drinks. The guac was amazing, and the mini tacos were packed with flavor. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn’t live up to the hype. Great spot for small bites and vibes—but not a full dinner experience.

Waited a while to get a reservation and we were not disappointed. From the moment you enter through a bookshelf door, down the stairs onto the secret library. The staff are attentive, the food was delicious and I enjoyed our micktails. The manager Dean made recommendations on what to order and we really enjoyed these. The complimentary guacamole has to be one of the best iv had. What an absolute delight.

An absolute gem. The "journey" menu was a tour through Peru, with each dish a testament to exquisite flavor and artistry. The service was impeccable, anticipating needs without being intrusive. The decor creates a warm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for a memorable evening. Cocktails are a cultural immersion, not just a drink, with each one telling a story. They also have a selection of cold, refreshing craft beers on tap. This is an experience worth having.

If you are looking for an unique experience, this is the place. From walking through a bookcase, then down a flight of stairs into a beautifully curated restaurant of antique furniture, Persian carpets, books, art, and bronze palm lampshades, to the perfect lighting that sets the mood, my senses were overjoyed. The host comes to each table and goes through their menu, which is helpful because they have a wide selection of options. I can’t remember the names of what we ordered, we just picked and waited. Let me tell you, everything was delicious and tasty. Fillet was soft and the pork was tender, all the ingredients on the plate came together so perfectly, it was so tasty 🤤. Service 10 Ambience 10 Food 10 Music 10 Decor 10 My husband and I throughly enjoyed ourselves.

What a treat. Entering behind a hidden bookcase, then making it down the classic staircase into a fabulous hidden library, with, gorgeous decor, and solids wooden tables. Each decorated uniqely. Dean, greeted and welcomed us into this magical space. We were treated to a delish shooter, and the complimentary guacamole, which was morish, and we gobbled up. Our mains we increadibly tasty, flavours bursting with each bite. We ordered potato fritas, and charred corn as sides. Deserts were equaly tasty, and yummy. We had such a fun evening, and loved every biteful of food. I will certainly return for another fun experience of delishiousness.
