On the Grid : The Library Project

"One of the only places to pick up the newest, contemporary, high quality art books and periodicals. Originally dedicated to photography, it’s collection now spans the gamut of architecture, design and critical theory. Stocking everything from the latest Sternberg Press releases to architectural journals like Candide you’re sure to find something of interest. A valuable addition to the Dublin creative community." - It's Okay

The Library Project near Temple Bar is a fantastic spot for art lovers, especially if you're into photography. The vibe is amazing and the books are super inspiring. It's a must-visit if you're in Dublin and want to check out some cool art books!

A fantastic independent bookstore right in the center of Dublin, on Temple Bar Street! As a graphic designer, it's such a joy to find so many international, local, and national titles. For a French visitor, it was a nice collection of keepsakes I could get ! The person at the counter was really friendly, and I’ll definitely order from their online shop. A must-visit for anyone curious :) See you soon, and thanks again !

I love this place. Minimalist decor. Avant Garde book selection. Thought inspiring. Intriguing titles. Here's a few from when I was in there May 2018.

Went there 2 weeks ago to purchase a print for a birthday gift. The return policy is 1 week. As the birthday would only take place 2 weeks later and I want them to have the option to return it, I had to come back another day. Today I went back, and the only print they had left was framed. They would not sell it without the expensive frame. Very dissatisfied about the lack of help here. 2 points of feedback: - Increase the duration of your return policy - Allow customers to purchase prints without expensive frames.

Fantastic bookstore with a diverse collection of photography books and monographs, featuring works from both local and international photographers. The selection is thoughtfully curated, making it a great destination for photography enthusiasts and collectors alike.

My girlfriend visited here while we were on a trip to Dublin and by the way she talked about it, we had to come back together the next day. They have the most interesting selection of books I've come across and the staff are very friendly. By far the most worthwhile purchases we made in Dublin :)

Yelp
An incredibly cool bookstore right in Temple Bar that I am not nearly hip enough to be in. An art bookstore with a mix of diverse coffee books to local zines and works by Dublin and greater Irish artists, their selection is highly curated, very political, and incredibly beautiful. A peaceful, quiet, beautiful find in an otherwise touristy, busy neighborhood.

Yelp
Great resource for independent and alternative magazines and art books. There's a huge collection here and the variety of topics covered makes for an absorbing shopping experience. I find it impossible to come into this place and spend under €20 because there's always something that I *have* to have. Very cool and affordable prints as well, and frequent special events. My only caveat is that the hours are unpredictable when they are between exhibitions, so if you're coming from afar, call ahead and make sure they're not closed for installation.
