Nice and clean hostel with a great central location — walking distance to the beach, city center, and main attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was a bit small and walls not very soundproof, but overall it was a good experience for the price. Perfect for short stays if you’re exploring Málaga on foot.

Everything in the Lights Hostel is amazing! They have amazing staff and social atmosphere. Free tea and coffee! Along with towels service as well! The best hostel ever literally!

I have a great experience in the hostel. It was my first solo trip. The staff are so nice, they are organizing the event every day! I recommend doing pub crawl and city tour. I met with many good people there. Fooood is so nice both breakfast and dinner.

Great hostel in a great location in the city. Lots of shopping nearby and felt very safe. Plenty of food options nearby. Quick easy check in. And they speak both English and Spanish. Beds were comfortable and showers/ bathrooms plentiful. They have a kitchen upstairs and an haddou hour on the roof in the evenings .

Spent there one night in October and the room was great. It was a bit shocking to see all these people downstairs throwing parties and cooking, and we immediately thought that we had mistakenly booked a shared room in the hostel. Eventually there was no need to worry, because our private room was in the building right next to it. It was a great surprise to find out how well soundproofed it is. The room was clean, well-equipped, with a beautiful bathroom and comfy beds. It was also close to Metro station and restaurants. Unfortunately we didn't spend much time, but it was a great experience.

5 Stars for the staff and the Volunteers 0 stars for everything else. Beds are very uncomfortable as the mattresses are either very old or just shit. The Ac in the room can only be controlled by a staff member so sometimes it will be freezing sometimes boiling and if you wake up at 3 am freezing you will have to walk to the reception to turn it down a bit. The bathrooms are very dirty and have a bad smell and they are mixed gender which i wouldn't mind but there is no space to get changed you will have to get changed in the dirty toilets.

The hostel had a great community with events organised every day, including dinners, drinks, walking tours to explore different areas and attractions in Málaga, which made it very easy to meet others. All of the staff were welcoming and probably the most welcome I have felt in all the hostels I have stayed. Rooms were comfortable and facilities were great. Full kitchen also available and you for a small extra fee they also have a comprehensive buffet breakfast available every morning. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay again!

We booked one of the suites, not just a basic hostel room, so we expected at least a few basics to be in order. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. If you don’t care about not having real windows, a barely functioning air conditioner, a fridge that doesn’t work, thin walls that let in loud flamenco music at 9 AM, and a bed that isn’t made daily – then sure, this place might be fine for you. But for us, it was once and never again. Disappointing, especially considering we paid for a suite.

Yelp
Wonderful new find in the centre of Malaga. Right opposite the central market and close to the station. It's part of a really good hostel which offers cheap dinners and breakfasts and Happy Hour drinks on the roof terrace. For us older folk the Suites provide lovely well designed rooms, some with balconies, and lovely bathrooms. How quiet they are depends on the other guests and at time of writing there's a very noisy group through the wall. That said the price is very good value for the quality of the room and is a very good option for a comfortable and cheap place to stay in Malaga.

Yelp
I stayed there for two nights to discover Malaga (booked via Expedia). I had a bed in a bedroom for 8 People (mixed), breakfast included. It's easy to get to the Hostel - bus stop and train station (to the airport) are nearby. The People at the reception were very friendly and gave me some good tipps what to visit in Malaga... The bedroom is really small, but functional, the only thing I missed was a cupboard (you can put your things into the drawer under the bed) and there is no place to put your suitcase. The aircondition in the rooms is also great (and useful during the hot summer in spain). The whole hostel has free wifi, which I used a lot, a kitchen (with fridges where you can put your food) and there are some events every day (for example 'tapas tour', free sangria in the evening, and you can also book dinner...). The breakfast was also ok for the price: coffee, juices, cornflakes & cereals, toast with margarine, nutella and jam... There are toilets (mixed use) on every floor and a seperate bathroom for men and women on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The rooftop-terrace is the highlight in my opinion (nice shadowy places, bar, and you can smoke there...). If I go back to Malaga sometime I would stay there again!
