The place is secure and beautiful. I live the vintage charm and the wooden floors appeals to me too. I didn't use all the facilities because it was just a night stay. Breakfast is included hence the original reason I booked because trying to get Breakfast on a road trip is a hassle. They had authentic Jamaican options served by a server with a ticket you collect from the front desk kinda a strange but I guess it's for a good reason. The food was well prepared and delicious, I was very satisfied. We stepped out of the dining room and onto the lawn and picked some ripe mangoes yum. The guy at the front desk was warm and welcoming and made our stay feel comfortable as we were able to ask questions and he never made us feel as if we were a bother to him. On the contrary the lady at the bar seemed annoyed that we wanted something to purchase close to her closing time. She was visibly annoyed. However she did not ruin our stay we have come to understand that many small hotel have a problem with good customer service and many times the owners are unaware of this. So I blame the worker and will not take away from our stay hence the 4 stars. Even though it's close to the main road the place was very quiet and clean. They spend money on quality branded (their branding) amenities because that small bath soap could wash a whole family. I've stayed at very high end hotels and never had a small piece of soap produce so much Sud over and over again. Parking is ample and a convenient store is in the lobby if you have small items you need to purchase. The tennis courts are well used as it is really a sports club. I love the ambience and even with that small hiccup I will go back and will highly recommend this place.

Great location, friendly staff and service overcome what is a dated and historic property. Overall, will come back for the more homey feeling over the "modern" nearby hotels

We stayed at the Liguanea Club for 2 nights (21 and 22 February). It is located a few minutes walk from the Knutsford Express coach station. Lots of different routes local transport passes outside the gate. Shared taxis starts at $150 Jamaican, however the Goverment buses are cheaper but less frequent.||There are lots of eateries around including popular food chains. Night clubs are also close by.||Emancipation park is just across the street.||All the staff were pleasant and engaging. Special mention to Jermaine on reception and the 2 young ladies who served breakfast on the 22/02. Breakfast was either continental or Jamaican. We opted for Jamaican - it was plentiful and delicious. This came with coffee, tea, various fruit juices and fresh fruits. ||It had tennis courts, gym and a pool (pool not in operation while we were there). ||The room and bathroom were clean. The room was very spacious with 2 double beds, fridge, safe, sofa chair, desk, TV and kettle There were also complimentary bottled water.||Would certainly return if in the area.|

Breakfast gas both jamaica n continental choices. Able to play tennis, table tennis n pickle ball. Lovely gardens n older trees. Lots of birds n butterflies. Will definitely go again.

Stayed by the members' lounge and it was a good experience. Had a fish sandwich from the restaurant and it was really tasty.

The room was pretty nice. Spacious and kept clean by the staff. The main issues were a street lamp that shines right into room at night and some street noise in spite of there not being much traffic. The Jamaican breakfast was a nice change from continental. Salt fish and callaloo.

It being in a central location is a huge plus; Emancipation Park is nearby and being in New Kingston you can walk up to Starbucks, Juici, KFC, Pizza Hut, etc. You can also walk down the road to get a taxi or bus to go to Cross Roads, Constant Spring or Half Way Tree. The staff is nice. It isnt all inclusive and breakfast is included however it isnt a buffet and you aren't allowed to mix continental and the Jamaican breakfast it's one or the other. You pay for lunch and dinner. Check out is 12 pm. $25,000+ for one night. There is no ATM on the property so you would have to walk up the road. It's more of a tennis club with rooms for maybe business trips. Theor loaded fries are good. All in all it's okay. Kingston needs all inclusive hotels like St. Ann and Montego Bay has so you dont have to travel far for that.

I haven't stayed at or seen the rooms at Liguanea Club but from the photos I see online, they appear to be well appointed and comfortable. The location is super convenient and the variety of facilities offered is good. I visited the bar recently and enjoyed the atmosphere as well as a very nice meal. I had a chickpea wrap with fries and really enjoyed it thoroughly.
