This is a nice hotel set on beautiful grounds. The room was spacious, comfortable and equipped with the required amenities. They served a fairly decent breakfast with some local dishes. The premises exuded a classic ambience reminiscent of its colonial past.

My girlfriend and I had a really pleasant stay at this place. The staff were genuinely lovely, friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating throughout our visit. Yes, the building is a little outdated, but honestly, it wasn’t a big deal. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the environment was quiet and relaxing. One thing that was a bit of a letdown was breakfast. You get a ticket for one plate only, which means no seconds, even though the dining area was practically empty. It felt unnecessarily strict. Also, my girlfriend is vegetarian, and while there were some options, the variety was limited and there was no alternative milk like almond, soy, or oat. That’s disappointing for a hotel in 2025. Overall, we had a great stay and appreciated the warm hospitality. But unless the breakfast options improve, especially for people with dietary restrictions, I’m not sure we’d return. That part just didn’t match the otherwise great experience.

We booked a one night stay at the Liguanea Sports Club. The room was large and comfy but could do with a bit of updating. However, at that price which included breakfast, we were not complaining. It was very reasonable for central Kingston and close to Emancipation Park. The area felt safe and the evening/night Kingston vibes were good. Breakfast was to be served at 7:30am but they were running late. We had to get it as take away and they seemed to have rationed the portions. The location was great so we would stay here again.

Checking in took nearly an hour. Nobody apologized for the wait or offered anything to drink. After asking politely to check us in they were rude. Very rude! Not just rude for a day but for the whole week. |The hotel is completely overpriced. Breakfast deserves 0 points on a scale to 10 and the rooms aren’t much better either. I have no idea how this place is surviving.

The hotel is standard. The staff were very friendly and very, very helpful. However the restaurant is very poor. The food takes an average of an hour to come out, and twice when we asked how long it was going to be after 40 minutes, we were told the chef had forgotten our order. One of the orders was at breakfast, and it was toast!! They also had run out of many things, including rum, which was disappointing. It's ok for a short stop over, but I wouldn't have wanted to be there too long. The local taxi drivers are extortionate and overcharge tourists, so ensure you agree a price before you get in the taxi.

We booked the Liguanea Club for 5 nights in early October. Unfortunately, we felt the need to cancel our last night as we were disappointed with parts of the service and amenities. On numerous occasions we asked for an iron and also an extension lead. For the duration of our stay these things never materialised. The extension lead was needed as the microwave cable was not near a socket. In order for the microwave cable to reach the socket I was having to lift the microwave down from its shelf onto the floor and use it! The swimming pool was empty and out of action. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was because of the pool. We like to swim every morning at home and thought we could continue this throughout our stay. We should have been notified about the pool and then made a decision whether to book or not. The bar area was closed every evening and I´m not sure why. It would have been nice to sit and have a drink with other guests on some evenings.

The place is secure and beautiful. I live the vintage charm and the wooden floors appeals to me too. I didn't use all the facilities because it was just a night stay. Breakfast is included hence the original reason I booked because trying to get Breakfast on a road trip is a hassle. They had authentic Jamaican options served by a server with a ticket you collect from the front desk kinda a strange but I guess it's for a good reason. The food was well prepared and delicious, I was very satisfied. We stepped out of the dining room and onto the lawn and picked some ripe mangoes yum. The guy at the front desk was warm and welcoming and made our stay feel comfortable as we were able to ask questions and he never made us feel as if we were a bother to him. On the contrary the lady at the bar seemed annoyed that we wanted something to purchase close to her closing time. She was visibly annoyed. However she did not ruin our stay we have come to understand that many small hotel have a problem with good customer service and many times the owners are unaware of this. So I blame the worker and will not take away from our stay hence the 4 stars. Even though it's close to the main road the place was very quiet and clean. They spend money on quality branded (their branding) amenities because that small bath soap could wash a whole family. I've stayed at very high end hotels and never had a small piece of soap produce so much Sud over and over again. Parking is ample and a convenient store is in the lobby if you have small items you need to purchase. The tennis courts are well used as it is really a sports club. I love the ambience and even with that small hiccup I will go back and will highly recommend this place.
