Raleigh and Frances were the best hosts! We planned a last minute end of summer family vacation to Maine and the Inn was recommended by a friend. Thankfully they had rooms available for our dates. The Inn has a great history and has been updated and decorated with the perfect mix of modern and antique furniture. The location is perfect to explore downtown Rockland and a short drive to Camden. We especially loved the fresh breakfast which was different every morning. Everything was delicious from the blueberry pancakes and fresh biscuits and eggs to the bacon and sausage and always fresh berries. They served fresh baked cookies and tea in the evening and we always had cold water and ice available for our room (self serve from the fridge downstairs). The beds were comfortable and the rooms were kept cool with air conditioning. We loved winding down in the evening with some wine in the living area and on the patio. We could not have asked for a better experience. Truly memorable! Thank you so much!

I can't say enough good things about the Lindsey Guest House. #1 - The location is perfect #2) The rooms are spacious, clean and they use high quality linens and pillows #3) The breakfast service is fantastic with high quality food #4) The staff could not have been nicer. Great service and very accommodating. There's also freshly baked cookies every day! Whenever I come back to Rockland, this is where I'll stay. I highly recommend.

Just spent the weekend wandering around Coastal Maine, Rockland,Camden and boy we hit the jackpot staying at Lindsay’s Guest House, it was definitely one of the highlight of our trip and possibly our favorite place in Rockland! First of all the Guest House is beautiful, cozy and decorated with so much taste and personal style we felt like moving in! Rooms are so pretty, super comfy bedding, clean, stylish bathrooms and so many great details, from the pictures decorating the walls to the welcome salty chocolates and olive oil! Breakfast is included and sooo good, freshly home made, super tasty deliciousness, for ex we had lemon, wild blueberries pancakes with fresh strawberries, maple syrup and bacon, delish! Location is perfect, right on the main drag, close to restaurants, shops, waterfront! Now the best part…Raleigh and Frances are the nicest, sweetest, most helpful and welcoming people we have encountered in a long time, they made us feel home right away and added so much fun and goodness to our time in Rockland and overall experience in Maine! Perfect example is that we were supposed to stay only one night and we end up staying two!! It’s hands down the place to stay if you visit Rockland, don’t miss out! Raleigh and Frances thanks again for everything and really hope to see you again soon! :)

The Guest House was an amazing find! All the reviews about the coziness of the house and rooms, decadent breakfast, and warm and friendly staff were absolutely accurate. We only stayed one night and really wished we had at least a second night to fully enjoy the guest house. Easy walking distance to main street, parking lot just a few minutes walk, breakfast in the dining room or outside, and clean and well decorated rooms with little welcoming touches like bon bons. The owners and staff are amazing. Highly recommend and will stay again whenever I'm back in the area.

What a great experience! Unusually, we had the place to ourselves for two nights which meant we really could enjoy chatting at length with the very personable owner/host, Raleigh. ||The very historic building looks like nothing impressive on the outside - it was initially, in the early 1800s, a rooming house, then a water works then, again, a guest house. It has been sensitively and superbly upgraded and updated. Intense modern palates (mostly greys) set off against old wainscoting and beautiful oak panelling. Public rooms include a dining area, lovely large living room, outdoor patio/deck that feels very private, and an exquisite small library with a wonderful scattering of categories. This is not your 'leave your paperback behind' B&B bookshelf!||Our room (9) is the only room on the main/first floor. It is quite separate from the rest of the downstairs. It is a large room with table and chairs, a (very soft) daybed/sofa, wardrobe, closet, very large bathroom and king bed. The room had both a (fairly noisy but effective) wall air conditioner and very efficient tower fan. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the linens and towels were first rate.||Breakfasts (8-10 a.m.) were made to order and magnificent! In some ways the best thing were the openers. Yogurt with home-made outstanding granola and a beautiful selection of six or more fresh fruits. I had seconds on the opening round both daus. This was followed on day one by lemon poppyseed (I think) pancakes with smoked bacon and, on day two, a spinach/potato frittata with link sausage. Pastries the first day were homemade pinwheels and on day two, very delicate blueberry muffins. And choice of juices, lots of fresh coffee and a number of top of the line teas from which to choose.||(Ice and water available all day and cookies on the afternoon.)||The place was spotless and the owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. We have spent time in Rockland before but this was our first stay at the Lindsey. Without question, this will be our spot in the future. Just barely off of Main Street/Route 1, with dedicated parking a few doors down. A couple minutes walk to 6-8 restaurants; five minutes to the Farnsworth. Nothing better in Rockland, in my considered opinion.

Our stay at the inn was fantastic. The breakfast was divine, and we were given lots of really fantastic tips for sights and activities to check out, places to eat, etc. The inn provides you with a fabulous little informational book that has lots of great resources, and Raleigh (the owner) was incredibly helpful whenever we had questions or requests. The availability of cold bottled water, tea, coffee, and snacks was so nice after a long day of sight seeing! The rooms are immaculately clean and well-decorated, yet still have a very cozy feel. The location was superb, walking distance to everything we needed! We can't wait to return. If you're visiting the Mid-Coast you absolutely should stay at the Lindsey!

My husband and I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before this trip, but the Lindsey Guest House exceeded our expectations! The whole place was very thoughtfully updated and decorated. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Raleigh was very kind and accommodating and made our stay great. She also made the most delicious cookies!
