The Best Time to Visit Hawaii

"Surf conditions in the waters around Hawaii naturally vary by season and location, and so you should plan when and where to surf by your level of experience. “During the winter months, big-wave surfers are drawn to Oahu’s North Shore to ride some of the most impressive waves in the world,” says Greg Champion, the general manager at The LineUp at Wai Kai, a waterfront recreational complex at Ewa Beach in Oahu."

My husband and son did Aquapeeks + Aquaventure obstacle course. They both enjoyed the experience and welcomed the challenge. The sessions weren't overbooked so they were able to go at their own pace without feeling pressure from others. The balcony seating area was fantastic for front row seats to the action. Plus, I could enjoy some adult beverages whilst watching 🍻 Food and drinks are overpriced but that is to be expected in a venue like this. Staff were generally OK, but none of them were overly welcoming. We might go again in the future, but still happy to recommend for others.

Great place with large, fun obstacle courses! Perfect for kids, but also challenging enough to keep adults engaged. A fantastic spot for active family fun.

Google
Super fun place! My son is almost 8 and a bit of a thrill seeker - we bought the 3 hour morning pass and it flew by for him, easily could have done the whole day! We did the cafe after and it was the perfect lunch spot - easy, good food and also would have been the perfect break if going back for more action after. Wearing the life vests is great because as adults, you can float around while watching your kids play or jump in an area you might not want to be on. The newly added large slide and balance area was an extra $10 per person - worth it for my son who jumped off and went down the slide a ton (but it IS super high and intimidating if your child is not a thrill seeker or if you as an adult don't want to do it - looking back I wouldn't have paid the extra $10 for me as I didn't go - my son had a blast jumping but even admitted "It hurt" hitting the water). One recommendation for WaiKai - man, I wish you rented Gopros! It would have been great to get some action shots of the things that were farther back in the lagoon! Overall I thought a really fun time - good price for how many hours and how much fun was had!

Google
This is the most fun water sport in my 1st lesson. It exceeded my expectations. Instructor Jeremy was doing great job in teaching. I was able to stand in waving current along in a few minutes. I have to say this is the most fun water sport I tried. $138 for 45 minutes is well worth it.

Google
This place is an absolute blast. I really wish I had my first session on the 30ft instead of the 60ft. If you have a weak rail game like me, you’ll want to start smaller. Once you get the feel for it your ocean experience kicks in. The stoke is high here. If you’re on the fence, just book a 30ft session, you won’t regret it.

Google
We regularly visit the line up for the wave and love it so much. My daughter won a vip package which included a cabana, obstacle course, lagoon, and wave pool session. It was amazing!!!!! Definitely worth doing and spending the whole day there as a family. Emi was our concierge and was incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone at the line up always is :)

If you're looking for a dining experience that will blow your mind, look no further than The Lineup at Wai Kai! I'm not going to lie, I've had some disappointing food experiences in Hawaii in the past. But The Lineup? It's a game-changer. The atmosphere is electric, with the perfect mix of chill vibes and high-energy excitement. And let's talk about the nachos. OH. MY. GOD. The nachos. I've had nachos all over the world, but these? These were, without a doubt, the best nachos I have ever had in my entire life. They're a symphony of flavor and texture, a masterpiece of culinary art that will leave you speechless. But it's not just the food that makes The Lineup so special. The real magic happens right outside, where you can watch surfers of all skill levels shredding it up on the wave. It's captivating, exhilarating, and the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable meal. The combination of incredible food, fantastic service, and a one-of-a-kind view makes The Lineup an absolute must-visit. I'm already planning my return trip. 10/10, no question!

Love this place! My son did the 30 ft wave session and learned a ton and had a blast. We went back the next day for my son to try again and me, my husband, my brother-in law, and my daughter all tried this time too. We all enjoyed it! Our ages range from 11 to 43. I was nervous to try but the instructors are awesome and help you stay up on the board and show you how to move on the board. I was scared about falling off but it was totally fine. A few minor bruises but not bad at all! We went at sunset time and it was beautiful! My youngest is 8 and too young to try but she loved appetizers (happy hour!) and playing on the grass with her cousin. They have corn hole and other games too. Beautiful facility, not crowded (yet!), highly recommend.

Yelp
Everything! Our host, the surf instructor, the wait staff - everyone was friendly, kind and accommodating. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
The LineUp at Wai Kai is so much fun for the entire family. I haven't laughed this hard in a very long time. The obstacles are so much fun and it's almost impossible to stay dry. You can climb ropes, swing from monkey bars, go down slides and jump off high peaks. Everyone gets a life vest too so you don't have to be an excellent swimmer if that makes you nervous. There's also a nice little beachy area with lounge chairs if you'd rather stay dry and get some sun, or shade. There is a cute little food and drink area as well as showers, changing rooms and lockers for additional things.

Yelp
Decided we wanted to go someplace different than the standard strip mall restaurants for dinner this past Saturday. Seated at a table by window so we could watch the more experienced surfers and the ones new to it. Very friendly woman took our order of three appetizers and drinks. Enjoyed watching the surfers while we waited for our meal of Kailua Pork Sliders. Mochiko Fried Chicken and Avocado Crunch to arrive. The Pork Sliders were good and had a slaw to add to the dish. The Avocado Crunch was fresh and tasty. The star was the Mochiko Fried Chicken. It was slightly overcooked but still delish. All the staff were very friendly and supported the relaxed and entertaining experience

Yelp
So darn fun my 10 year old couldn't get enough! He kept getting more and more sessions!!! So fun. Dad even got out there for a few.

Yelp
I swear I thought I reviewed this place already. For some reason I can't find it. I've been here many times. Even twice in one day. It's been a couple months and I'm overdue. There's a short rib dish that's my new favorite along with the cole slaw but, I'll say I haven't had anything I didn't enjoy there. Try the Cole slaw. I've even asked for a side order of Cole slaw just warning you that there's a small kick to it but minima

Yelp
It's a great facility and well organized but to a first time visitor it is impossible to know how physically taxing the experience is and how easy it is to fall hard and in unexpected ways. The risk of injury is high for someone who weighs more or is older. It's great for ages 9 and up who are physically very fit and mobile. It's really hard to use the "step" to exit the water that requires clambering and hauling oneself out. I don't recommend participating without a buddy who is agile and can assist. There was a lifeguard but there's a big gap between being at risk of drowning and struggling to get back up onto the floating structure without any safety support around, especially further from the entrance.

Yelp
Yes you see it Trey Songz performed on 12-29-2023. Great concert and line up. The concert was 6:30pm to 11pm. We decided to go get food before the concert and take pics. They had a beautiful Christmas photo setup. I took pic there and then headed to the wave bar for food. The line was short and prices were reasonable. After your food and drinks are order they give you given a buzzer. You find a table and they bring your order to you. The food was hot and delicious. Especially the chicken omg. I couldn't stop eating the chicken. The drink was good as well not overpowering and not watered down either. The weather was perfect and the scenery amazing. They have the concert area on the lawn, two restaurants, the surfing wave pool and paddle boarding. It offers glow in the dark paddle boarding as well as paddle boating to cabanas. The concert area has drink as well. So you didn't have to go back to get drinks at the restaurant. They have their own parking lot and additional paid parking area. If you get there early don't pay for parking or at least wait until you get there to pay. I paid in advance a for parking and the paid parking wasn't open yet. I ended up parking in normal parking lot and lost my $25 parking I paid in advance for. I'm not sure if they normally have DUI check in the neighborhood leaving but after the concert they did. So drive sober if going to concert there or Uber. If you are GA for concert you can bring blankets to hang out on the lawn. Overall I loved it and will be returning!

Yelp
Overall, the family had an amazing time. The obstacle course was fun and they could spend hours on it. It never felt crowded in the open environment. Unfortunately, there is not enough seating available along the sand or patio table seating. Shade is also extremely limited. The food at the Cafe, especially the Burgers were affordable and delicious. The wait for food was on the longer side, so more food preparation before the mandatory breaks would be helpful to cut wait times. Overall it was a fun & memorable experience!

Yelp
Came to celebrate my cousins birthday. Jo was a great waitress! Catered to our needs & always had a smile on her face. Food was okay, could've had more flavor.. their Kalua pig was a bit dry but the lomi salmon was delicious! Took 2 stars off because we had to constantly flag someone down just to refill our waters even when they offered. They would ask then forget to even do it.

Wyatt G.

Yelp
Really helpful staff. Great times and good vibes. Did a 45 min session on the 65ft Channel, helmet and softop boards were included staff was extremely helpful with getting me on the wave, and showing with the ropes. Constantly giving advice each time I fell. Totally worth it. I was also able to join my family at the water obstacle course afterwards. Which they had a blast and I did too. Very humbling haha. Fun place, great staff, and good vibes. Will be coming back

Yelp
Went to the Wai Kai show on Monday and watched the Watermans Journey Polynesian show. It was fantastic. The dancing, the music, the fire knife dancing, the surfing and choreography was amazing. It was very entertaining and would highly recommend! It is every Monday at 6:45pm The Wai Kai Staff was great too!

Yelp
No wait and ample seating with a wonderful view of the wave pool, lagoon and ocean. There is a bar in the middle, a stage with TVs and band, and the AC is perfect after being in the sun. Staff were friendly and took our orders right away and we received our drinks expeditiously. Our order came out quick and correct. Keiki Mac n cheese was a very good size portion for being from the children's menu and very cheesy. We were unable to hold the bacon so you have to take it as is. The fettuccine Alfredo was a big hit scoring 4/5, we added chicken and it came with garlic bread which was easily shareable between 2 people. The jidori checking sandwich was also a good size portion, the chicken breast was a little dry and too large in comparison to the cheese and bread. A little disappointed there wasn't fries but the side salad was a good portion, but I wasn't a fan of the poke flavored house dressing, next will replace with ranch. Salad also could have had more tomato's. Family friendly environment but also good for date night and girls night. Recommend if you're in the 'Ewa area.

Yelp
Clean, fun, exciting! We had a blast!! We were a party of 5-grandparents, parents and granddaughter. We weren't sure that we could handle the aqua venture, but we did!! Laughed so hard and stayed out longer than expected. We stayed from 10-4pm and were exhausted when we left. Had a wonderful lunch at the LookOut. Juicy burgers, the Wai Kai burger was phenomenal!! Mochiko Chicken was moist AND crunchy! Cocktails were kicking!!!! Our server was excellent. He memorized our entire order which included various cocktails. We waited to see if he was going to get our order right and he did. The bathrooms were cleaned frequently. All the staff was friendly, informative, gracious, and most of all-welcoming. This was a day well spent with a ton of wonderful memories built!

Yelp
It was crowded on a Saturday at lunch time. We did the Play your Way for one hour. The young boy who helped us get our tickets upstairs was rude. I asked if I have to pay for a locker, he said yes, and I said ok I'll get one. So he made us pay and then do the waiver. So we did and I said where's the locker key? He insisted I didn't get one. So I asked for the receipt to verify, he had to print one up for me. So it wasn't on and I paid for it. This kid in particular doesn't seem like he wants to be here, didn't smile at all. Then when we went to check in they said the duck boats weren't available because of the weather but it was pretty sunny with a breeze. The only thing we could go on with our 6 yr old twins were the double kayak. The first 10 minutes there was nothing available and our time was ticking. We got onto one and paddled out to the floating cabana which was cool. We stayed out there for the rest of the hour, swimming and enjoying the view. Overall I wouldn't pay full price for the Play Your Way. Maybe next time do the Aloha Course when our kids are 7, that looks fun for an hour or so but can't use the cabana.

Yelp
I enjoy the Lineup at WaiKai. The atmosphere is always popping and clean. It is a great place to host parties and for hanging out. The customer service is amazing. They are attentive and friendly. The food does take a while to come out. But overall, I definitely would recommend this place to friends and family.
google avatar

Kathy N.

Yelp
Went there when they had the food trucks, and it was considerably busy. Also walked around and checked out the awesome view, amenities and the boutique. We pretty much just wanted to check this place out, and return another time for happy hour. Not sure what the foods like, but it's a pretty chill place, with a great view. We will return.
google avatar

Yelp
We were on Oahu for Thanksgiving visiting friends and decided to make a trip to the lineup surf pool. Neither of us had ever been to a place like this before so we wanted to check it out. It's a whole complex with several restaurants retail and of course the wave pool. We ordered a couple of Mai Tais which were amazing, Barrett the bartender made these perfectly layered drinks with a Nice layer of dark rum to top it off. It was pretty entertaining to hang out for a little while and watch the surfers do their thing in the pool. We did not order any food but would love to go back and try some grinds next time!!

Alexey K.

Yelp
False advertisement of individual trainer as an extra package, you get a group of 10people spread for 30minutes and single shared coach for all. We bought two packages, my son got 3-4 attempts in the water each 30-60 seconds long, I requested a refund.
google avatar

Danielle T.

Yelp
No service, barely a bartender. I've been here since 4 pm the tables are dirty, there isn't any wait staff or anyone telling you to go to the counter. These tables have been covered for two hours. The napkins and cups just keep blowing all over the ground and into the pool. It's really gross. I'd come back for the wave, but not for food or drinks. But hey, at least there's security.

Nicole Y.

Yelp
Everything and everyone was amazing from the moment we pulled into the parking lot. We had so much fun the first time we rode the wave, we came back a few days later for 2 back to back sessions. Can't wait to return to Hawaii to visit The LineUp again.
google avatar

Riese L.

Yelp
This place is awesome!! The brand new spot in Ewa has gorgeous modern decor and tons of free parking. There's floaties with water activities you can use when you rent the floaties. Theses of course the huge wave pool and two restaurants. I had a quick lunch at the look out and I can't wait to go back to try more. I had the pupu steak with chimichuri sauce and I'll just say YUM! I also had the Kalua pig nachos and the do not skimp on the toppings. It was like a mountain of food. I glanced over at the menu and peeped at all the food being delivered to other tables lol and the prices are totally worth the portion sizes. If everything tastes a good as the two dishes I tried today then completely worth it lol. And the staff is sooo friendly!! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
The Keiki obstacle course was not enough to occupy my 4 year old. The main course has a strict age policy of 7 and up. We inquired about other water sports, but it was too windy for the duck boat. The stand up paddle had a strict 1 person only policy. Kayaking was our only option. Didn't try it though, because my daughter asked to play in the sand instead. The beach area has a good looking plot of sand, but it's stiff and dusty. Not possible to dig holes or "make a mermaid tail." At check-in, we upgraded to the VIP locker room ($20/person, but my 4 year old was free). Since we packed up just an hour in a half into opening, we had the whole place to ourselves. It felt like a spa in there: hot shower, locally branded body wash/shampoo/conditioner, fluffy towels, and swimsuit dryer. We ended our visit with lunch at The Lookout. I've tried the organic chicken sandwich and fish tacos- both restaurant "favorites." My daughter has ordered the kid's cheese pizza and spaghetti. Service and food were just okay.

Yelp
日本語訳 I am excited to share my experience at Wai Kai show @waikaexperiance We were invited by the talented @tahitimana and it was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The atmosphere was breathtaking, and the food, drinks, and service were top-notch. The show was absolutely amazing, with incredible performances and musicians that included water, waves, fire and surfers. This was not your ordinary Polynesian show, and we were thoroughly entertained. It was an unforgettable night, and I highly recommend @tahitimana's productions. I want to express my gratitude to @tahitimana, @waikaishow, @waikailineup, @waikaiexperience, and the entire team for making my son's 12th birthday dinner a memorable experience that we will cherish forever. Mahalo!

Yelp
The girl on the phone, I think her name was Britt, she was very helpful, and I appreciated her prompt response in calling me back. She was also very helpful with figuring out the Kama'aina discount and even added the 10% promotion for us. Thank you, Britt! Overall, we had a great experience at Wai Kai AquaVenture. Just know that if you have kids in 2 diff age groups (4-6 y.o. and 7+ but under 14 y.o.) you'll need 2 adults because an adult needs to stay with the younger ones at all times and kids under 14 also need adult supervision, however, there's different areas for the 2 age groups. But the kids all had a good time, my younger one wished to have been able to go on the bigger kids course though. Depending on staff, some allowed the bigger kids on the little kids course, some didn't. The food and desserts from the Lookout was pretty good! It says the keiki menu choices come with a drink & a scoop of ice cream - we didn't get either of those, but I'm not sure if it is because we didn't dine in. I also didn't know they offer 10% off food purchase when you book a same day activity. The manager was nice enough to honor that for us after the fact. Kids enjoyed playing games in the lawn area and brought their own volleyball to play with too. Bathroom was clean to, that's always a plus. A fun day for sure!

Yelp
We rented the beachside tent and reserved appx 15 passes for my daughter's 13th birthday party. It was a last minute celebration with multiple changes and rescheduling... however, the staff at Wai Kai did a phenomenal job accommodating us and didn't give any issue (or attitude) with the various changes! It was SO refreshing to receive REAL customer service from ALL the staff members! All of our guests had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the obstacle course and water activities. We will definitely return and absolutely recommend them 100%! Mahalo Wai Kai!

Yelp
Customer Experience A+++ HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! All the staff was super friendly and accommodating and go out of there way to take care of you, from the checkin hostesses, to Britney, to the surf instructors, and to the girl in the ice cream shop & Surf shop (Didn't catch their names). Just the AMAZING staff makes me love this place. My kids 15 & 10 had a blast on the big obstacle course while me and my 4 year old had fun hanging out on the kiddy side. The only thing was the algae on the floats was gross, they should clean them during the breaks. On another, the food is delicious and I was really impressed with the surf lessons. They can really teach people with NO skill how to surf in an hour. However, for the price I really wish they could practice for the entire hour instead of waiting in line. The lounge was so refreshing and worth every penny.

Yelp
Everything was Amazing! Staff was friendly and helpful! Cafe food was delicious and prices were good for our family of 4.

Yelp
This is a great place to learn to surf. The staff is great and very patient. You'll learn how to balance and if you're good how to go backside in the same day. If the session your in doesn't have many people you'll get allot more ride time. It's great fun you gotta try

Cassie R.

Yelp
My son and I went over Thanksgiving break. Excellent sunshine and the VIP lounge was worth it for proper storage, a warm shower and amenities. He is 5 and could have easily gone onto the bigger kid / majority of the aquaventure, wish he could have played there but we made the most of it. Good service. Friendly staff. Fun adventure for the kids!

Yelp
Let me start by saying that I did not have high expectations for this place. A friend invited me and my husband so we went for the company. Love when my expectations are crushed! First, the wave pool is amazing. I envisioned tourists clumsily trying to surf. Guys, there were legit surfers! So cool that The Lineup's balcony seating overlooks the pool. It was windy so we asked to move more indoors and the hostess was more than happy to accommodate. Our server, Abcde, was super knowledgeable about the menu as well as other things to do in Ewa Beach. She also shared how the wave pool works. We all shared the kalua nachos... so ono! Order it... if it's the only thing you order. Our friend had the fish tacos. He said it was okay. My husband and I shared the Jidori chicken sandwich. That was ONO! I also had a diet coke which was made locally with cane sugar. Tasted like regular Diet Coke so that's a good thing. I forgot to take pictures of the food...so hungry. But did get a shot of the wave pool. I would return for the nachos and watch the wave pool. It's soothing somehow.
google avatar

Amber M.

Yelp
This place had a good ambience but there was a few drawbacks. I made a reservation to sit where there's a view so we could watch the sunset while we ate but they sat us in a booth instead where we couldn't see over the railing where we initially reserved for. Told us that they don't have our seating that we reserved for because there's people there already. Another drawback was the service, our waitress was a delight but the waitress who brought us our food (a different one) slammed our plates on our table as if she's in a rush. Other than that, the food was okay, it was like it had been sitting and gotten cold by the time they brought it to us.
google avatar

Yelp
My family and I traveled from California and were looking for a not so common Hawaiian experience, we found that here at Wai Kai! The kids both got to surf the wave pool while hubby and I got to enjoy some amazing views with tasty drinks. We stayed for dinner and got the most amazing dinner show with it! This was no ordinary luau that you would expect, it was so much more! It was a full show with dancing, music, fire dancing, surfing all while telling a story of a waterman's journey. This is a one of a kind experience and a must see show! The experience at the Line up Wai kai is definitely worth it!!

Dali N.

Yelp
Great service. I went to the restaurant and the staff was professional and friendly. I liked that it's not overcrowded

Samantha U.

Yelp
Place is nice and clean and has awesome amenities. I bought the package with the obstacle course and all inclusive non motor toys for 8. I also got a cabana for up to 8. The obstacle course was over crowded. Life guards cussing at each other in front of little kids. No enforcement of shoving kids (which is a lack of park rule enforcement and personal parenting). The non motor vehicles wasn't renting out duck boats. You had to wait for kayaks because they give them all to the aqua banas who don't use them and just lounge around. A couple times we waited for kayaks and didn't get any before the breaks. They wouldn't let you rent paddle boats. And there were a lot of workers that did nothing. My kids were pretty sad waiting for nothing. We were told we had a server for our cabana. She never answered her texts. She didn't even bring us our lunch, I had to go upstairs for the food and bring it down myself. Overall really cool place. The over crowded customers were not my style, even though I'm from here. Obstacle course was fun, but I was concerned about my kids. Non motor vehicles were the proof that it's not worth the price since the 6 lifeguards didn't want to issue anything. Cabana says it sits up to 8, but you don't get more than 4 chairs and barely any place left to sit on the ground. Otherwise you're surrounded by non cabana folks laying around your area. And loud, unclassy cabana mates to your sides. Cool concept, happy to pay for amenities (when they actually give you what you thought you paid for). The $1000 I spent on 8 of us to have what could've been a great birthday party was not what they advertised. I'll never come back. Not even to surf like I thought we would.

Nick N.

Yelp
Such a fun facility. The surfing wave was a blast to try out, there were some very high performers there doing amazing tricks, I was able to get the hang of it my first time and found it pretty addictive and a great way to improve my surfing and dial in equipment. Behind the surf wave is an epic family water park of sorts that my kids would absolutely love. We ate at the restaurant after our surf and food was great, good value for everything also. Highly recommend and will return.

Jeremy S.

Yelp
The aquaventure park is neat but the lagoon leaves a LOT to be desired. The viewers are boring and uninspired. The water Just looks like a damned up lake and it's not clear. No fish nothing to see.thr duck paddle boats weren't in service. The canoes and stuff weren't available and even though we had a reservation that included a floating cabana we weren't able to use it since they only had one out.
google avatar

Kaena E.

Yelp
Aloha nui he mau kupa mākou mai ka mokupuni o Maui. We would not reccomend Waikai for the ʻohana. We were welcomed with no aloha, no worker we spoke with acted like they wanted to be there. We wanted to buy a trip on the lagoon for our keiki, there was no equipment left to go out on, but we were still able to purchase the pass. I was told there were paddle boards but they were broken, and some that had no paddles ( not allowed to paddle out with hands) I offered to rent the 6 man canoe, they said I couldn't because it had to be rented 24hrs in advance although it sat there with no one using it. Duck boats were available but they said they weren't going out. There were time slots you bought for lagoon(exp:1:00pm-2:00pm) but they said if someone goes over there time they don't call them in, they just stay in until they want to come out which made no sense for those that bought next time slot. My son had won 1st place state champs for paddling his whole crew was out there and he was not able to join due to them not being able to rent us anything. We will not be returning or recommending to others. Sad to see that a place prided in something so connected to our culture like surfing, is lacking some of our most important Values. Aloha, Hoʻokipa (Hospitality), and mālama (Service). Wai Kai gotta step up there cultural awareness traning. 8-3-24 2:00pm

Yelp
Excellent service. Our server Brenton was friendly & was quick to bring waters & share the specials. He even gave drink recommendations. We went with the prime rib hash. Definitely recommend if they have it on special again. Great views & nice atmosphere. Sunday brunch seems like a perfect time to go here as it was not too crowded.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere here. We felt like we flew to a neighbor island for a relaxing dinner. It's family-friendly, spacious, and has lots of FREE parking. The veiw is beautiful from any seating, and there are a variety of places to satisfy your cravings.

Yelp
I was booking a session with my girlfriend and some friends from out of town who were dying to surf the wave pool and Catherine was so accommodating. She was helping us book the best possible time to maximize our time in the wave pool and we had the greatest time because of it. Thank you to Cat for making it happen and the staff of Wai Kai for keeping my crew stoked. You're the best!

Yelp
I think it still new so not many people, we enjoyed quite relaxing time with very nice views. Open air interior and decorations make feel Aloha and warm Hawaii welcome Foods were good and big portion! I love Strawberry Parfait I want to come back for dinner and live music, too They had surf lesson and fun to watch. If you get tired of Waikiki crowd, come here and enjoy relaxing Hawaii's quality time

Yelp
My second time to this area called Wai Kai, went again as an invite to watch my cousin guitarist play in band entertaining the patrons, we were very close to the stage and was early enough to have dinner. As for a lot of places expect high prices, had one Kalbi for $22 probably because it was under the appetizer, not offered in the dinner menu, mom had the ribeye appetizer but was pink and bloody which she doesn't eat her ribeye like that..BUT the band had the place energized dancing, singing a long and having a good time. Have a lot of activities, so go and have some fun!

Yelp
I went here with 0 surfing experience just wanting to have a good time, took a while to get there but Kelaloha got in the water on a board to help me get across and get a feel for the balance. Dexter was also there and a good instructor to point out and help me manage my board plus show me where to put my feet and my balance, awesome time, definitely recommend!

Yelp
What a fun day with three other adult friends. First we were greeted by Catherine who really took the time to explain everything, and made us feel so welcome. Then it was on Watersports, we got kayaks and headed out to an aquabana, kind of like a cabana on the water. Reasonably priced cocktails and food. Everything made for a great day. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Sat up in The Lookout and enjoyed a delicious dinner with some friends while watching people absolutely kill it surfing. We had so much fun watching everyone try the surf pool. Dinner was delicious, staff was friendly and attentive. Super cool spot that I look forward to coming back to in the future.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars, I would. It's too expensive, not enough time for the money spent, the food was mediocre, and worst of all the kids did not enjoy it as much as we thought they would. We could have all gone to the beach for free and probably had a better time. After being educated by some local people about the waste of resources that was used to build and sustain this type of establishment, I am ashamed to have spent any money at Wai Kai especially with this poor experience.

Yelp
Awesome views and happy hour. Hearty portions. Our server was extremely friendly. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. The live music was also excellent.
