The Lingholm Estate

We have visited this location and property for many years with our 2 dogs.|As always not disappointed with the property, very dog friendly, housekeeping second to non and fabulous location for views and walks, including the location itself.|Own waterboard or canoe? Waterspouts on site! Or marina to accomodate close by.|Restaurant style Lingholm Kitchen on site for fabulous breakfast/ brunch.|You will not be disappointed with your choice

We wanted a place to stay with family, some who live abroad, to mark a significant wedding anniversary and Rosetrees at Lingholm looked to fit the bill; we weren't disappointed. Well proportioned and equipped accommodation having close access to the lake. Gentle walks within the grounds with an adventure playground for grandchildren. |We saw people walking Alpacas, but we didn't partake. There is a popular and well run café on site. Also there is easy access to the paths that lead around the lake, to the fells close by and of course to Keswick.

The place here is absolutely stunning. It's always a picturesque view no matter where you go in lake district, and these gardens just enhance that beauty. The walk was lovely, the alpaca walk was very friendly and exciting and the cafe is very clean and caring. I would highly recommend coming here if you're on holiday.

This was our 5th visit to Lingholm, this time we stayed in the Lake View apartment which was just wonderful. Everything you could possibly need, it is so large and spacious but cost at the same time. Really comfy super king bed. The copper bath is the best! We have already rebooked for next year!

Following recommendations from my brother and his wife, we chose to stay at the Lingholm estate to celebrate my 60th birthday. From the moment we arrived, driving up the driveway to approach the house, we were so happy that we made our choice! A very beautiful and peaceful setting, faultless accomodation in The Old Library, a perfect setting on the shore of Derwentwater and beautiful sunny weather too! We had the most wonderful base to explore the Lake District and would thoroughly recommend the Lingholm estate - we can't wait to return. The Lingholm kitchen on the estate was amazing! The ambience overlooking the grounds and walled garden, the staff and the fabulous quality of the food were second to none. It was a perfect holiday - thank you.

Amazing location and accommodation. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Highly recommend. Fantastic walks from the door. Beautiful grounds to wander around.

We recently stayed in Borrowdale apartment and yet again had an incredible experience from start to finish. The property was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as expected—if not better. It's very clear that Jenny and the team at Lingholm put a lot of thought into every detail, from the comfortable beds, high-quality fixtures and fittings to the fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. This is our eighth occasion staying at Lingholm and each time we visit we can see evidence of investment and continuous improvements from redecoration, new radiators, Hobby Hut, paddleboard storage, driveway repairs to name but a few. ||The location is perfect for us—close to the foot of Catbells and mountains beyond plus direct access to Derwentwater for a wild swim and paddleboarding. Check-in was seamless with the detailed and informative digital guide. ||We especially appreciated the little touches like complimentary teas/coffee/milk, and freshly baked treats from the Lingholm Kitchen. This apartment, like all properties at Lingholm truly felt like a home away from home.||Would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality, spotlessly clean, and serene place to stay. Our three children and two grandchildren (12 in all) had another very enjoyable week staying in Rosetrees. Plenty of space, lovely gardens and the rest of the estate to explore, including along the lake.|This was our second visit and we are planning a third - excellent.
