We have loved the "Little Bear" for over 30 years, from it's start in Bradley's Meadow as the First Wok. We know that the real estate situation at the Bearsville Complex has been stressful, and we hope it is resolved soon. I would have given 5 stars at any time in the last 30+ years, which is important. Unfortunately the chef tonight didn't deliver on the light touch and delicate sauces that we have grown to love there. I know Marley and her team can get it back on track. The Crispy Prawns and Half and Half we definitely now your normal quality. We will be back.

As we were seated, we were happy to see that there were only two other couples dining and we were able to have a window seat by the creek. Waitress took our order ( forgot to ask if we wanted any type of drink ). My girlfriends food was horrendous and my plate was mediocre at best...I had to go to the bar to order two drinks. Waitress never checked on us, as she stood at the upper steps and stayed on her phone. Terrible service, mediocre food... yet great ambiance... go figure!

Unfortunately the lovely view and fantastic location could not make up for what should have been a much tastier meal. After reading other reviews we were excited to visit. Looks like we may have come on an off night as others have commented about how tasty their meals were. Cold sesame noodles...No flavor. Soft shell crab...possibly not fresh and over fried with too much batter. General Tso’s Chicken...pretty basic. Orange Chicken..again pretty basic. Shredded pork...basic and safe. Even the Pan fried noodles..... Hoping this was just a one off. And that others have better luck.

Great views and, atmosphere. The owner and, staff are very friendly. They have excellent vegetarian choices and, many many options for a healthy lunch or dinner. They have an amazing sunroom in the back that faces a little babbling brook with little waterfalls. They also have a bar if you like that sort of thing. It's such an relaxing place to have an night out with a few good friends. This is always my favorite place to go to when I'm up in Woodstock. I've been coming here for many years and, always had an positive experience here.

Everytime I'm in the Woodstock are i stop and, eat here. They have many vegetarian options. The owner is a sweetheart. I've eaten here many times and, always have left feeling happy.

The best Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten at. The Peking Duck is awesome, the sesame noodles are extraordinary and the beef with orange sauce is amazing. Then, of course, there's Marlee, the owner, who is a great hostess and wonderful human being.

The food is a mixed bag. The duck is usually rather dry, and the desert selection is very limited, but everything else we ate was quite good. That said, if you make a reservation (and you should, it's tiny) ask for a table by the windows overlooking the stream. We booked a group and got placed in a corner near where they stack extra supplies and it took any charm I used to feel about the place away entirely. Avoid anything that is listed as having mayonnaise (yeah they cover some of their dishes in it) it's kinda disgusting. Even for someone that likes the stuff, they use like half a bottle and you need to dig through it to find your food. But if you get a window seat, get lucky with your menu choice, and aren't looking for dessert, you have a chance of having an amazing night here. I did once a while back, but regret trying my luck twice.

The food was horrible. The shrimp in the coconut shrimp tasted rotten and when we informed the server she said we were wrong because it just arrived that day. The scallion pancake was great, but our entrees were disgusting. Orange chicken = big hunks of deep fried flour with almost no chicken and doused in a sickeningly sweet gloopy sauce. All this accompanied by a rude server and the sounds of employees screaming at each other. Steer clear of this place.
