The Living Room Bar & Lounge

The ambience is the reason to come here. The art deco vibe is truly beautiful and there is ample seating to where you don’t feel others are on top of you. The service however was pretty poor (it took us about 30 minutes to get our drinks and it wasn’t too busy of an evening). As far as the drinks go, they were fine. Not the best I’ve ever had, and not the worst.

We came here after my friend’s birthday dinner to catch up, and it was a great choice. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable making it super easy to relax and stay for a few hours.

5 stars all the way! Very upscale, and we were not dressed as we probably should have been, but they sat us and did not seem to treat us any different than anyone else. The champagne was delicious, the cocktails were divine, and the food, oh my! They have a vegan steak (Chunk), and it was so very good! Presentation was great! There was a DJ, it was Friday, but no dance floor (odd).

This is a really great new feature space added to the W Union Square. Located on the second floor, easily accessed via the grand staircase in the hotel lobby you will find an amazing bar and lounge area. Excellent atmosphere for lounging in the Union Square neighborhood. We found a nice quiet table and enjoyed wine and bourbon in a fantastic setting.

The venue is very nice, but the drinks were very mediocre. Not quite a successful attempt to be upscale; not yet anyway, in my opinion.

So much potential - lost. Vibe is trashy and loud. Prices are extremely high (no surprise) but quality is mid. Lighting at night is uncanny, uneven. Best to come during the day if at all, for the window light. Crowd is very TikTok-y if you know what I mean. A real shame because the room is a stunner.
