The sushi was not bad, I really enjoyed the mango roll. The roll that had beef on it was not as good. It was interesting that they flame grill it right there but its an odd taste not meant for sushi. Edammame was average

Needed a night cap while staying at The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island and didn’t feel like going off property at 10 PM. The Lobby Bar was the perfect spot for a late night drink with a relaxed ambiance and great service. I had the Luxardo Margarita and it was an excellent choice. The drink was flavorful and strong and I’d highly recommend it. During my next visit I’ll come hungry to give feedback on the food selection.

I have always heard that The Lobby Bar has the best sushi in town. So when my mom and I had a spa day on Mother’s Day, I decided to stop in and finally try some sushi. Firstly, we were given some excellent complimentary snacks of mixed Japanese-inspired snacks, pretzels, and nuts, cheese crisps, and mixed olives and gherkins. We ordered Fernandina Roll, Creamy Crab Roll, and Sashimi Platter. I don’t mind paying top dollars for excellent food, but the sushi was pretty average. The sashimi, on the other hand, tasted pretty clean and fresh. My favorite amongst them was the Hamachi, which was rich, fatty, silky, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. I can probably eat a whole platter of those! I wanted to love this place, but there are so many others to try. Loved the servers’ friendliness and attentiveness!

We’ve been coming to the lobby bar for sushi inside the Ritz-Carlton at Amelia Island for the past four years, visiting around the same time each year. Unfortunately, this visit left us deeply disappointed. The quality has noticeably declined compared to previous years. The rice-to-fish ratio in the rolls was off, with far too much rice overwhelming the fish. Additionally, the texture of the rice was mush, rather than sticky rice. The shrimp was overly chewy and lacked the fresh, tender texture we’ve come to expect from a high-end establishment like this. The bao buns were dry and we had to request additional honey hoisin sauce. The drinks and service were average—not bad, but nothing special either, which was surprising given the Ritz-Carlton’s usual standards. On a positive note, the tuna was fresh and flavorful, but it was one of the few highlights of the meal. It’s disappointing to see such a drop in standards, especially at a place we’ve consistently loved. We truly hope they address these issues, as this was far from the exceptional experience we’ve come to associate with the Ritz-Carlton brand.

We always come for the sushi at the Lobby bar , hubby’s fave if the nigiri platter and I come for the Fernandina roll or the Amelia roll. This is the local favorite. Locally sourced and fresh always . The atmosphere is very relaxing as it is facing the ocean. They have live music playing in the evenings. Our server Jamie is the best . We come for her I should say because she is very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu, very accurate in taking orders and efficient in delivering our meal . I would ask for her . The manager Kristina is the best ! She stays busy making sure all the guests are in their best comfort and orders are on point . She is very friendly as well and makes you feel right at home . Ambience is amazing from sunrise to sunset as the bar is oceanfront .

Great spot for drinks and a lite bite. Food is pretty much limited to (very good) sushi. None of your typical bar fair like burgers. Have to walk down the hall to Tidewater Grill which is their take on a sports bar for that. Expect to pay $20 a drink. Not cheap but nothing at the Ritz is. Service was top notch as always.

Upscale bar inside the Lobby of the prestigious Ritz Carlton Amelia Island! Prices are elevated to Ritz Carlton level prices but the service, food, and atmosphere are elevated as well. From the beautifully elegant lobby, the super friendly service, the amazing drinks, and good sushi...this is an excellent place to start your vacation at the Ritz or meet friends and enjoy some sushi and drinks. Every time we visit family and friends staying at the Ritz or visit friends at Carlton Dunes, it's always nice to just walk over, grab some drinks and sushi and relax in the upscale casual atmosphere!

We came to The Lobby Bar and it did not disappoint. Sheena was our server and she was amazing. We ate like kings! The nigiri and dumplings were delicious, and the sweet potato cheesecake was unexpectedly delightful. I was not expecting it to taste so good! I'm glad we decided to eat in. It's nice to eat in a hotel restaurant where the food is good and the service is excellent.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was good (I was there for a conference). However... The property is not well maintained nor especially clean. The parking garage was terrible. The trash cans were never emptied in the three days I was there, and the stairwells were a mess. The room was better, but only a little. The light over the desk area was broken and there was something red splattered on the bathroom door. Hopefully not blood. And I hate resort fees that are sprung on guest at check in. The amount ($50/day) isn't that big a deal. It is the principle of the thing. Don't add a non optional charge, just include it in the price, since it is part of the price -there is no option to say no. It is just shady business.

***4.5 Stars*** Visited last August and enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Ritz in Amelia Island. I have family in Savannah, so we split the week between Savannah and Amelia island. It was my first time staying at a Ritz, so it was nice as anticipated, but it also felt relaxed and unpretentious as well. We were treated with sparkling wine, fruit plate and cookies with our kids' names on them which was impressive. We traveled with a 7 month and 3 year old, so we didn't really get to experience all the on-site dining options. We stayed at the Club level, so basically used the Club like an All Inclusive Resort. I think it's worthwhile with kids and infants to book club level. Unlimited access to juices and snacks for the kiddos and also ice coffees, beer and wine for the adults. We mainly had all our meals at the Club lounge. I believe they have a kids club for older kids, but we just did our own thing. Definitely a family friendly hotel. We enjoyed the beach area which was deep and filled with soft sand. It's fairly secluded and spaced out. Good beach service as far as I remember.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. It's the fanciest place I've ever stayed and thus expensive for the whole experience. The staff was all very kind, warm, and welcoming. This is definitely noticeable and affects your perception of the place in a positive manner. The hotel was very clean. Of note was the wonderful shower and I still can't figure out how the mirror would never get fogged up. The bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed the balcony and it's view of the lawn and ocean. Getting the chocolates when they turned down the bed was a nice surprise. I will say the hot tub wasn't very hot during the day when I was in it. Not sure if the people who were in it had requested that or if it's a daily thing. Wonderful food at the restaurant I ate at. Beautiful wedding venue. Clean gym. Beach access.

100% recommended! The experience at The Ritz Carlton was exceptional from the moment we arrived until the end of our stay. We celebrated my birthday there, and it was truly amazing. We dined at several locations within the hotel, and the service everywhere was outstanding. However, there was one minor hiccup at Tidewater where we were presented with our bill twice, which made us feel a bit unwelcome, as if Karen our server wanted us to leave...we laughed it off and took our pizza to go. Despite this, the rest of our stay more than made up for the brief discomfort. We enjoyed a couples massage, the saunas and steam rooms. We spent the entire day relaxing by the pool, which was pure bliss. We will be back with our family.

The room and hospitality is really good. The spa was horrible.. The lobby bar was not good. The Valet is nice. Lots of mixed feelings and emotions about this place. Beautiful property with wonderful service and a friendly staff. Excellent restaurants on site, vibrant lobby bar with live music most days we were there and delicious sushi.

Loved staying here and enjoyed our breakfast with the view even on overcast day. Beautiful view of the ocean, comfortable bed and pillows.

Love the spacious room, and customer service is exceptional. Since it is the Ritz, expect things to be quite pricey. A round of two Old Fashions, not with premium bourbon, was just shy of $50. The grounds are beautiful, with a cool Tiki style bar in the pool area with great bar eats. Try the pork nachos. What's missing is the wow factor upon entering. There isn't this great grand lobby. Kind of like a Marriot as you enter to check in. Make sure you safely stow belongings. The housekeeper threw away what they thought was trash, but it was a gift bag containing $350 in gift cards for use in the hotel. We were compensated upon check out. Beautiful ocean front property. The gym is huge for a hotel. I really enjoyed our stay. Heather at Coast bar is awesome!

Every employee my wife and I came into contact with was super friendly leading to a great experience! The resort is a bit smaller than other Ritz I've been to but it certainly gives you everything you need with a handful of food/restaurant options, beach bar and a pool/beach bar (coquina?) Our room was normal beach/upscale for a Marriott; pretty nice. We had a great view of the ocean and the AC worked pretty well :) The reason I say the resort is a bit smaller is that there is really only 1 decent sized outdoor pool, then a hot tub, kids play area and an indoor pool. There is a pool for the spa too.. so a good number of pools, but the main pool is where most things happen. We ate at most every restaurant and really enjoyed them all, food and service were good. The cold brew in the coffee shop is very good AND you can bring back your cup for a few bucks off a refill. That's good.. but the weird part is it's literally just a clear 16 ounce solo cup instead of something with the ritz or coffee place names logo. The cleaning staff threw a couple of them away when cleaning the room, can't blame them.

We were here for a wedding. The property itself is beautiful and staff was excellent. Did stop by the bar for two drinks prior to attending the ceremony. That set us back about $30. While the Bride and Groom were taking photos we hung out in the lobby. The staff was walking around with finger foods. I don't recall names of it all but the fried cheese, shrimp on a stick and burgers were all really good. The food during the reception was tasty as well. The staff did a great job accommodating the guest's allergies and meal request. Restroom was open to all of the hotel guest but kept mostly clean. Parking is valet only. Overall we had a great time here. Did not stay overnight on the property.

Super disappointed with "The Ritz" experience. Not worth the money we paid by any means, but there were pros and cons. Pros: Beach service was great and private Room was in good shape and clean The food we ate on property was very good Good service with housekeeping Bed was super comfy Cons: Our view was wildly disappointing Valet is a nightmare Service inside lobby was slow and sub par Prices of food was insane Check in took forever Room service took over an hour Pool area was overrun with kids Overall- not worth the money for the stay- seek another RC property!

From check-in to restaurant staff, everyone seemed indifferent to our presence. We have stayed at other Ritz-Carlton hotels (Miami, Orlando and Naples) and felt that the Amelia Island property was by far the least enjoyable experience. Our room was nice (we were allowed to pay for an upgrade to a mini-suite) but we were quite underwhelmed by our stay here.

The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island is my kind of place! Granted, I just got back from a work conference so my room rate was considerably less than the normal rack rate. I arrived a day early for the sunshine and Mother Nature held off the rain for a few hours so I could start working on my tan. I hope the conference organizers decide to come back here in the future. When I checked in, I was upgraded to a Coastal Deluxe Room with a king size bed and balcony that had a view of the coast looking south. While not a complete ocean view with a full view of the sunrise, it was still a great view. My room had a comfy king bed, a sofa bed, a little nook with a table for working, a fridge that was split in half for the honor bar and your own drinks, as well as a Nespresso machine. There is also a safe for your valuables. It overlooked a big green lawn outside of the convention/ballrooms and the sand dunes. The bathroom features Diptyque products. For lunch, dinner, and coffee, when I wasn't in the conference, I went to the on-property restaurants. There are several to choose from ranging from mid-price to expensive. Two of the nights we ventured off property to restaurants in Fernandina Beach. I'm the kind of person who always opts for the beach if I'm at a beach resort. However, if you're a pool and cocktails kind of person, this resort is also for you. As soon as I checked in, I headed directly for the beach. As part of your resort fee, you get the use of an umbrella and two lounge chairs. If you forget your sunscreen, the little beach hut where you pick up beach towels, also has water and sunscreen for you to use. The beach is beautiful and was not crowded . There is also a little beach tiki bar that serves cocktails and food. The Ritz-Carlton is known for their spa so of course I had to partake. As part of using the spa, you also have access to the spa's adult-only pool, the jacuzzi, steam room, lockers, and other amenities. If you aren't getting a spa treatment, the cost is $50/day per person to use their facilities. After my spa treatment, I spent all day at the spa pool because it was quite windy down at the beach. You can order cocktails and food poolside from Coquina. Everything was delicious. The spa pool features lap lanes (yay!) and a whirlpool with a cascading waterfall. I brought my swim goggles and did laps early at 10am before getting sun. Coquina is one of the on property restaurants and it's next to the main pool. It has a large bar and covered seating. My first and last nights at the hotel, I had dinner at Coast. The short rib and filet are excellent! I was a frequent flier at First Drop Coffee several times a day for coffee and their sorbet & gelato. Shout out to Victoria and the team members at First Drop Coffee. She improvised and created a a delish mocha raspberry for me when they ran out of raspberry syrup. I did separate Yelp reviews for Coast and Coquina. A couple of things to note, I arranged for transportation thru the concierge to and from the airport. If you are going to dine in Fernandina, you may also want to prearrange for transportation as I think the number of Uber and Lyft drivers on the island is limited. The staff at the hotel is welcoming, friendly and helpful. Florida is usually not on my list of places to visit but I will definitely make a return trip to the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island.

Stayed at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island last week for two nights for a work meeting. It is a beautiful property and the staff was extremely friendly. I was on the 8th floor and the view from the room was all ocean. It helped that the weather was absolutely gorgeous. I look forward to coming back here in the future.

Everything was outstanding! The staff was the best from valet all the way up when we come back this is the only place we will stay!

We stopped in for a drink in the lobby area bar area before our reservation at Salt. Little did we know, parking is free if you eat dinner at the restaurant. Be sure to tip for the valet though. As soon as we were seated, we were greeted with snacks. However, being a high-end place, I was disappointed at the lack of conscience of food allergies. They were dropped and immediately walked off. For someone without food allergies it would've been great, especially if in need of a nice snack. Items left were crackers, olives, and assorted nuts. In looking at the drink menu, they had a decent selection of wines and mixed drinks. I would say an appropriate selection to lounge while either scanning over the main lobby or the opposite side overlooking the ocean. Coincidentally, a man was playing live music. He was decent, but felt the volume could've been a little lower, as it was difficult to hear my fiancé even two feet away. We ordered a glass of wine, called Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay. It's a nice medium body with a clean feel, and buttery notes. Not nearly as buttery as Rombauer, but you get the point. Overall our service was great. But the room deodorizer was overwhelmingly bothersome. Perhaps some people will be ok with it though. For others it could be a deterrent. Check them out while in town.

Stay here!! Best service, best food, best pool and great ocean access! We stayed with two kiddos who loved the pool (where we had the best Pina Coladas ever)!! When we went to the ocean we were provided with two chairs, towels and an umbrella. Several staff came by to see if we needed any drinks. Kids enjoyed the ocean! We dined at Coast and it was delicious! The service was great there and everywhere we went on the property! We ordered room service and the pancakes, muesli, waffle were all very good! This Ritz is total luxury and even had Birkin bags for sale!

Absolutely beautiful property! The Amelia d'Concourse event here is A1. The golf course is great and the staff is nice. I came back to Amelia Island for a vacation and had to take off a star simply because I find it shocking that there are seven restaurants on property but none offer breakfast outside of a buffet. Even if it's just a brunch menu offered on weekends...

This place absolutely lives up to the Ritz Carlton brand. Nice finishes. Everything is well maintained. Great amenities for adults and kids. 24 hour gym access. Attentive and kind staff. Beach access including a program to rent chairs, lounges, umbrellas etc. for the beach. Good restaurant options.

Stayed here a few nights last week and absolutely love the hotel. I love how the room is set up without wasted space. The water power in the shower is nice and firm. I love how the entire place is bright and you can clearly see everything. The shower gel was also really nice. I love the way how it Lathered on my skin. There was also a sign I. The room that said " if you take the toiletries, we will charge your room account. I was about to work from my room and love how the room had a nice little working area. Overall I give this hotel a 5

I think I had high expectations for this resort and I think this is where the clear divides in this country might have influenced my reactions to this resort. First off, when you think about the Ritz-Carlton name, you expect excellence in service, excellence in infrastructure, excellence in location and excellence in customer care. For the most part this resort met those expectations, but they came up short in some. The location is the highlight of the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. Located on Fernandina Beach, it's well-situated for those who love to play golf or tennis or looking for a nice and quiet walk on the beach. Almost every room has a view of the Atlantic ocean and their distinction between ocean view and costal view is basically one you can look straight at the ocean and the other you have to look left or right at the ocean. Second, the service for the most part was excellent. The servers at the restaurants were so friendly and accommodating, making up for the overpriced and lackluster food that this resort charges in its restaurants. (Best practice: head into the town of Fernandina Beach for meals, for better food and better for your wallet). If you have to stay on property for meals, stick with the tried and true. Third, the customer care for the most part was on par with expectations one would have with being at the Ritz-Carlton. They met most of the requests, but it's the little things that I felt like this place failed at. First off, we are Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elites and while I understand that the Ritz-Carlton as a chain doesn't offer suite upgrades or club access for elites, the up-sale right upon check-in was unacceptable. Rather than play the long game of offering the suite upgrade for Elites, the front desk immediately tried to up-sell us on the suite upgrade with the option of being in a club level room, but without club access. That goes against the very idea of a loyalty program, prioritizing a sale over the feel of being rewarded over loyalty. Second and this is where some might take offense, but the state of Florida doesn't have a mask mandate but this hotel upon check-in with filled to the brim with four weddings happening the night of check-in. Even if we weren't in the middle of a pandemic this still really ruined the experience of what I thought this place would and should have been. Like someone mentioned in their review, the walls here are super thin and trying to rest and relax and hearing drunk people stumbling back to their rooms late in the evening really soured me on the experience. Also, missed a lot of little things with cleaning. The urine stains in front of the toilet that one would miss if you weren't looking carefully, but isn't that their job to look carefully? It's the little things that make or break a hotel and it felt like this place overlooked a lot of that. Overall, this is an older property in the Ritz-Carlton portfolio and while on the surface it's leaps and bounds above the local properties it competes with, but if you take a closer look it's not up to the Ritz-Carlton standards that one would come to expect. For the cost, I probably would not revisit the property, but if you're looking for a quiet weekend away during the off seasons, this is probably somewhere you should consider, just temper your expectations.

The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island is located on Fernandina Beach. The resort has a relaxed natural luxurious setting. They offer activities such as paddle boarding, biking, tennis, and access to the Golf Club of Amelia Island. The staff is exceptionally delightful and quite accommodating. There pool and spa are situated adjacent to their bar/restaurant which is exquisitely designed. We very much enjoyed the restaurants, lounge, and the room accommodations.

Had some issues with locating someone who could help me pay for a meal secretly for my parents. They were celebrating their anniversary at Salt and didn't want them to know we were picking up the tab. Took me 2 days to locate someone but due to Shuntral who went above and beyond, I adjusted my review this hotel. Christina on the other hand needs some more training. In the end, everything worked out. My parents were surprised and had a lovely evening. Thank you.

The private beach The purple fire pits The palo santo scented hallways The vanilla scented bedrooms The lavender & eucalyptus spa rooms The in-room espresso machines Pristine lighting in every nook and cranny of the property Retail shops bursting with unique finds & luxury brands On-site spa that is a destination all by itself **ask for Erin Gowans; order the skin resurfacing collagen facial. She's a 9 year licensed esthetician who KNOWS her way around product lines. If you're an ingredient buff like me, you need the knowledge and the experience to go with it. Erin is magic in both. At MINIMUM devote a half day schedule to enjoy ALL the spa has to offer: *Co-Ed lounge overlooks the spa pool *Co-Ed / adult only pool with private dining and full cocktail service *Ladies dry sauna, wet eucalyptus steam room, hot plunge, two locker rooms, private showers, light snacks and teas in the ladies lounge. *Fully outfitted retail boutique A *perfect* way to spend an afternoon relaxing after biking & touring the quaint little shops of cute little Fernandina Beach.

5 stars all around, my first time at a Ritz so no surprise that the bar exceeded my expectations hand over foot. Great room, incredible amenities, exceptional service (end to end) views great. And I have to admit- the people are all very respectful, responsible, etc and not like at a non-elite hotel group, you can have an amazing time but no "scenes" are at the hotel bar besides amazing smoked cocktails, lots of laughs, good conversation and wonderful decor! For holidays/Christmas they do a awesome job with the pinnacle Xmas tree in the center- 10/10 landscaping, and waking distance to the ocean in seconds. Highly recommend as a special occasion if you can afford. Did I mention super yummy breakfast buffets for your work conferences?! Soup to nuts literally BEST spreads I've ever had at a work event - with snacks, drinks, etc 24/7.

Todays Barnabas "Empty Bowls" luncheon was held at the Ritz-Carlton. Barnabas is a non-profit that helps the needy in Nassau County. This luncheon is held to symbolize some people had empty bowls to eat from. The Ritz provided two types of soup-minestrone and butternut squash soup; a light lunch but a delicious lunch. The person who created Pound Puppies spoke on how he risked everything for a dream he had and that a charity like Barnabas in his home town, helped his family with a child diagnosed with cerebral palsy. We could pick out one bowl each, which was decorated by a local person for this event. I try to attend this event every year ($35 ea) because they do good work and 92% of money donated go to the people in need not administration.

my husband and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding! The service, food, and people are top notch and made sure we had everything we needed for our big day! they truly went above and beyond and we're very accommodating. I'd like to shout out a few people that stood out to us! Laurel was very courteous and kind enough to make sure our check in went smoothly and was there to answer any questions we had! as well as Adam helping us with our luggage, was very personable! Jeff was our server at Salt, and the food was absolutely top tier! Phil made sure our dining experience was one to remember and we will never forget how he went above and beyond for us. Huy from Valet was also very kind and courteous. I can not thank the Ritz team enough for their generosity and making our day one we will cherish forever! We will be back for sure!

Wonderful experience. Was here for work and got into town earlier than expected...like several hours earlier than I anticipated and several hours before check-in. I called to ask the earliest I could check in and they encouraged me to come right then and were so welcoming. Almost as if they couldn't wait for me to get there. Just a really special place with wonderful group rates and I really cannot wait to go again. Such a treat.

We spend a-lot of time at this gorgeous property. It's beautifully perched right at the edge of the water, the restaurants are fabulous, the staff are so welcoming. We've loved all the events we've attended from July 4th Dinners/ Fireworks Displays to New Eve Gala's and Breakfasts with Santa. It's wonderful. Highly Recommend

The Ritz has quite a reputation of excellence so I was really excited for the chance to stay here for a work conference. But.... Honestly? I was actually pretty disappointed. Maybe it was too high expectations. Overall, it was clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Restaurants on site- but really expensive. Some shops on site- also really expensive. The room itself was nice enough. Great view of the ocean. Refrigerator in room- but no microwave. Couldn't unlock the other half (mini bar) of the fridge. The walls are pretty thin and was awakened in the middle of night by the man next to us loudly talking on the phone (could clearly hear every word). One of the elevators was consistently flaky, and usually didn't move and we got stuck once. The outdoor pool was lovely- and the patio fire warmers provided a nice cozy ambiance. Beach access was easy. The conference area was nice- plenty of room. Only critique was that power strips were t run to the participant tables (which is frequently done at most conferences). No airport shuttle.

This hotel has excellent service and unless everyone in Jacksonville is just naturally gracious the staff training must be excellent. The valet volunteered to charge our Tesla overnight, at check-in I was served free champagne and a lovely woman kept refilling our glass as I lingered in the lobby. In the room the housekeeping brought up a wedge for the bed because I have a bad back. Later in the week I complained about a minor matter (I am a grouchy person) and the matter was resolved and also I got a bottle of wine and chocolate cherries and a handwritten note of apology. Later, Camille in the Coast Restaurant made a routine family birthday a special event. Without asking me she put us at a really good table with a big bouquet of fresh cut flowers and 2 glasses of champagne. Camille did it all with the biggest smile you ever saw and demurred when I offered her a tip, as if I had offered to pay a friend for a kindness. The service is what I'll remember but also the view of the ocean and the vast expanse of sandy beach. I'm sure reviewers who found fault are being honest and maybe I was just lucky (I certainly was with Camille and Rachel at the Coast Restaurant) but for me the week was just what the doctor ordered and I wish I could have stayed longer.

The people who work at the ritz from the shops to the front desk are amazing! I absolutely adored the person who worked at the shop with the creed perfumes ( I can't recall her name unfortunately but short hair and I believe she is Filipino) she was so sweet and helpful! The team at the ritz are beyond attentive, friendly, and go above and beyond. I stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and was blown about from the beauty and service. Oh and the food!! Salt was phenomenal, they have a good size gym with weights ( free weights and stationary), treadmills, anddddddddddd for peloton lovers like myself.. 2 PELOTON bikes. The bar was cute and would get pretty lively at night. My room was great and the bed super comfortable. Amelia island was a beautiful high end location that I'm glad I experienced.

I had an absolutely amazing time at this location. I expect nothing less than the most professional staff, outstanding food and service that is too notch. All the staff are adhering to CDC guidelines (however some of the guest need reminders). I decided on a whelm to head to Amelia Island for a birthday retreat, to relax and reflect. Upon arriving, Valet took care of unloading the car and delivering to my room once checked in. The receptionist, Dee, was kinda and courteous. She made sure I had everything I needed, including storing my birthday cake. She was excellent! My room itself was great and ocean view could've been better (with current renovations part of the property wasn't available) but suffice to say I could still see a good view of the ocean. The bed was cozy, plenty of space to move around and watch the sunrise/sunset from anywhere, including the balcony. The property itself comes with a ton of amenities and is right on the beach. Although I stayed in my room mostly on this trip to rest, I must come back to experience them. Room service was quick and easy. With staff wearing masks and adhering to CDC guidelines. I felt like sushi for dinner and ate at The Lobby Bar. OMGEEE sooo good! Again I expect nothing less from the Ritz Carlton. The receptionist, Hudson, recommended a roll that wasn't on the menu that was unbelievable! Great suggestion; thank you Hudson! Excellent! This was an excellent trip to Amelia Island; a place I've never been. I must come back when the weather's a little warmer to sit on the beach. I would love to explore more of the property as well as the island. Thank you to the staff for making me feel such warmth and so welcomed for my birthday.

The most amazing experience of my 2023. It's very well designed, food is amazing and crew are very well educated and welcoming! It's elegant like Ritz Paris, the building is a bit old but the environment is flawless. You won't regret spending time there. My son loved their tiny golf club which was designed for kids. He was practicing while we were enjoying the Atlantic breeze.

Great find, Dune Bar! Best on or off the beach! Laid back, great service, Darrin is a wizard... Let him make you a sangria! Healthy! With fruit.. Or get a cold can... Even a little ice in a glass! Luxury! Great food! Small but valid menu selections so it's fast and fresh! Go figure... Many other beach places could learn from them... Best view, take your shoes off and ground yourself here! Just don't get my seat, we'll be back!

First time here ...and now o truly understand the hype. I was not a guest but attended a symposium here. I was truly impressed with the efficiency of the valet staff. They kept the cars lined up and moving so that no mishaps or confusion was present. As you arrive inside you are greeted with a smile and willingness. I loved the beautiful and exquisite decor of the hotel. I was disappointed due to the heavy rain which dampen the view . Despite the rain, the view was worth a thousand words. The conference room/ ballroom offered adequate space for dinner and dancing. I loved multiple stores inside which provides something for everyone. I applaud the hotel for its children's area. It has video arcades, table tennis or ping pong table and offers other activities. I found the gift shop and was able to purchase the perfect gift. And I must state that being the foodie I am, The Ritz Carlton is it! It serves a perfect combination for light refreshments. There was also a nice wine and beer selection to quench the thirst.

Darren at the dune bar was absolutely amazing today. We had lots of time to kill before our room was ready and Darren was awesome. Mark was also there and he was so kind. I would recommend you visit these guys. Made our vacation so fun.

Are you kidding me? This is no longer a "Ritz." The "Tidewater" should be avoided at all cost. They are, if nothing, a shadow of "The Ritz" experience. The wait staff could care less of you are even there. Four or five wait staff working the table yet none in charge and only 20% could care less if you live to see the sun rise tomorrow. The "Tidewater" visit was a complete bust. If not for the infused drink as we exited the "Ritz" ( the added star here for about the same price as dinner) this "Ritz" is a disaster of epic proportions. No personal touch, no give a sh-It whatsoever, the "Tidewater "is not a part of the "Ritz" experience". Minus stars in almost every category - they could care less if you are even there. What has happened here? A "Local" spending a birthday at "The Ritz" and it was less than a Salty Pelican experience. Enough said: "Train your staff" is all I have to say.

This hotel holds a special place in my heart. Not only is the scenery and natural landscape truly gorgeous but my husband proposed to me here at the Chef'a table at Salt restaurant. Does this make me biased? Absolutely. Justified? Definitely. I have experienced all aspects of this hotel. From the spa inside and out, to the Club lounge to seeing them go through renovations through the years. This hotel has kept itself fresh and relevant and we keep coming back! The service is of course what you expect from the Ritz and in the rare case it's not it will quickly be remedied. This hotel is very child friendly but it's great for an adult get away as well, especially if you take advantage of the adults only spa pool. We make it here at least once a year and we always will.

We had an amazing stay at this resort! Everything from our room, the staff, food and drinks was wonderful. We will be returning!

Our family absolutely loved this hotel. We came here as a part of my husband's work conference and then extended our trip a few days to spend some time as a family. 2 chairs, an umbrella and 2 boogie boards were included at the beach. For the pool, they had pool noodles for the kids. Both beach and pool areas had fresh towels and water always available. Neither the beach or the pool ever felt over crowded. We had a standard room, but it was very spacious and we didn't feel crammed. Lots of storage space. I always put clothing in the drawers at the start of a trip and there was enough room four our family of 4 to put everything away. Our room was cleaned and restocked daily - often times a second visit with turndown service. Our room on Saturday and Sunday didn't get serviced during the day, but I suspect it's because of so many rooms needing turned over for new check ins. There are several restaurants on site, which is nice to not feel like you need to leave the hotel if you don't want. And you aren't eating the same thing over and over on repeat. There were also several stores on site. Service was great. Staff seemed always happy to help. It was clean and didn't have that wet/musty feel inside that many Florida hotels have. GREAT family hotel.

Not worth the cost , very over priced. Understaffed , not well run. Waited all day for our room to be cleaned , despite calling 4 times. An outdoor event we were at was interrupted by the sprinklers going on and ruining all the food and soaking all in attendance. 30 minute waits for you car from the valet parking. Not worth it

It was a fantastic way to have a short get-a-way during the week. My friend surprised me with a quick trip out of town to wind down, enjoy good food/drinks, enjoy the beach, and enjoy the grounds. And I did.... :) It's a lavish hotel, so the best way to describe the stay is that it meets the "lavish" hotel standards. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room lovely and super comfy. Gorgeous views from room and grounds. Lounge Bar, Pub, Poolside Bar and SALT restaurant .... all fantastic places to hang out, eat and drink. I personally enjoy the lounge bar's sushi and martinis. Private areas to sit and view the ocean as well a social areas to sit around fire pits and talk with other guests. Pool and hot tub open 24 hours. We swam at 2am and it was private and fun. Our room was up to date with a spa-like bathroom. I soaked in the tub and enjoyed all the shower hookups for extra massaging. After cleaning up, I enjoyed the champagne and chocolates sent by management welcoming us with a personal notes. *Nice touch. I didn't go to the spa this time but recommend it if you have the time. It's all pricey but worth it. Sometimes you can find deals during off season. July is a peak season and all rooms were booked when we inquired to extend our stay.

The Ritz is quite literally the gold standard for hospitality. I can say with certainty it's because of the people and the care they take in making sure every experience is profound. I have had the chance to enjoy cocktails and sushi at the Lobby Bar. It is always impeccable and such a fun time. This hotel has a beautiful layout right on the ocean. As a Titatium Elite member, I was sent a Bonvoy check in alert 2 days prior to my arrival. I mentioned that I would be arriving at 2 pm and also asked if I could use my "Suite Nights" for a potential upgrade. Unfortunately when I arrived at 2:30, I still had to wait until 3:00 pm for the room to be ready and they made it clear that they did not participate in the Suite Nights promotion/benefit. There was never any mention of my Marriott status nor was I informed about the Club Lounge which I was told they supposedly had. During check in, they offer you a glass of champagne which was a nice added touch. The room itself was nice with a large TV inside a boxy enclosure. Large walk in shower and 2 sinks with upgraded amenities. We also had a balcony overlooking the pool area. The staff was trying to follow covid mask rules, but you could tell they weren't very enthusiastic about it. Most were using their masks as chin straps. I wasn't worried. The staff was friendly and did a great job keeping the room clean. We even got chocolate on the first night (only). There is a resort fee which includes some events, fitness center and internet. I was disappointed after I checked out to find a $25 fee for a yoga class which I was told was part of the resort fee. I deduct 1 star for these types of charges and deception. My wife should have been given $25 for attending the class which she said wasn't worth it as a free class. The gym staff were nice and there were plenty of stationary machines besides the class offering. You're encouraged to valet park, but there is free parking in the lot next to the tennis courts where the staff also park. There's also a garage for self park at a fee.

This is a great place for a weekend getaway with the family. They are VERY kid friendly at this resort. We have been coming here for a few years now, and we see some of the same servers who have been here for decades. I think that's a great sign of the way the company treats their workers. Service is generally great and very friendly. They have a lot of special little extras, like fish feeding at the Kids club every morning, or story time in the lobby midday. It's no wonder the place is full of families with young kids (their policy that kids 2 and under eat for free doesn't hurt either). The rooms are great, although some areas appear dated. I've stayed in the suites, which are beautiful, and in a normal room, which was a little more cramped for a family of 4. I noticed some paint chips on the floor in the hallway on this visit, so I know some areas could use a fresh coat and update. But our suite this latest visit was wonderful, spacious, and clean. Food on the property is expensive, but it's good, and the service is always amazing. The beach is beautiful with soft white sand. The kids loved it, but they liked the pools even better, especially the little water park for the toddlers. They have a kids club, but it is only for kids older than 5. If you have little ones like I do, they provide the contact information for local babysitting services. I was actually able to secure a last minute nighttime sitter, but I ultimately ended up cancelling that and spending the evening with my kids instead.

This Ritz-Carlton mightily benefited from a fantastic location on a pristine white sand beach. The staff and amenities were top notch and even in April, it was warm enough for the beach (but not to swim in the ocean). We were there for 5 nights and the food was consistently good. Be forewarned that it is isolated so you may want a car since Ubers and taxis are not plentiful. Prices are as expected for this level of resort. YOLO!
