21 Best Bars in Tokyo, from Hotel Lounges to a Tequila Speakeasy | Condé Nast Traveler

"The Lobby Lounge and Bar at the Ritz-Carlton is a favorite Tokyo skybar, overlooking the twinkling megalopolis from its perch on the 45th floor. Don’t be fooled by the generic-sounding name. The space is a stunning haven of dark wood and glass that blends contemporary Japanese and Western motifs. Head barman Kentaro Wada glides around with grace, mixing innovative cocktails like the Flower of Delight (chamomile-infused gin, flower syrup, elderflower cordial, lemon juice, and egg white)." - Melinda Joe

Google
in my opinion this is one of the nicest Afternoon tea experiences in Tokyo. The service is flawless. Each season has different themes that are lovely> teas are delicious and there is a great balance of sweet and savory items. LOVE THIS and I have been often.

Because of unexpected work, I had to arrive late, but I contacted them right away and the reception staff were very helpful in changing my reservation time. When I arrived, they warmly welcomed me and guided me to the table I had booked. The table was right by the window with a full view of Tokyo city, including the Skytree. I was able to take some amazing photos — you can freely take pictures here, just be mindful not to disturb other guests. The service was excellent!

Very fancy place where you have to schedule afternoon tea time which runs from 12-5pm. It’s a selfie Armageddon here, with young women taking pictures instead of eating or drinking 😋. It’s definitely pricey though, the two of us quickly ramped up a $174 bill and we didn’t even eat a meal! But I guess at the Ritz that’s normal. We had teramisu and a matcha dessert, wife had a peach lemon gin, I believe it was called the cherry blossom. I had an old fashion which I requested to be smoked but wasn’t maybe it was a misunderstanding, then I tried a Japanese whiskey 🥃. Both were very good. But for anyone wanting to experience something unique I think the afternoon tea is the way to go, you get an assortment of sweets and obviously tea. I looks very tasty and presentable and the best part you can take an indefinite amount of selfies 🤭.

I came here 3x for casual dinner before but it’s my first time to have afternoon tea time here. The staff sat us at a comfortable table as my friend’s heavily pregnant.I feel like they can do better with the tea time sweets. They’re too sweet.

Delicious seasonal afternoon tea with great views of the city and excellent staff. Dinner was also great, and I can't recommend the Ritz Carlton burger highly enough. Quite expensive, but that's to be expected for the location.

Great service and nice food as you expect from Ritz-Carlton. Afternoon tea sets were delicious. Good for couples, families with small children. The facility is baby-friendly. Beverages are bit pricey but hey you are enjoying the atmosphere at the Ritz.

Great views, service, coffee, and wifi for a mid day email session. Looks like an amazing tea selection I’d like to try when not on the computer and solo.

Yelp
During our stay in Tokyo, we decided to book an afternoon tea experience. After reading reviews on about 5 places; I ended up booking a reservation for two at Ritz-Carlton Tokyo one month in advanced for a 2 pm time slot. Afternoon tea takes place at the Lobby Lounge & Bar located on the 45th floor of the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo. We were seated in the middle of the establishment, but I could still see the spectacular view of Tokyo from my sea. The wait staffs were all refined, polite and extremely helpful. My cup of tea was never empty, and they often came by to check up on us. Japan doesn't have a strong tipping culture, so they refused to accept additional tips. Ritz-Carlton Tokyo does have a mandatory 13% service charge but that's clearly stated on the bill and menu. In terms of prices; afternoon tea in Tokyo seems so much more expensive compared to the places in Toronto. The afternoon teas available in Toronto are no more than $50 per person. However, this was our first time in Japan, so we wanted to make the best of it. I opted for the Afternoon Holiday Tea (¥5,000 || $60) and he got the more expensive option; Ritz-Carlton Afternoon Tea (¥7,500 || $90). The second one had more delicacies such as foie grias terrine and caviar which I got to try as well. It was an overall great afternoon tea experience.

Yelp
Our table was a cozy corner table, right by the window. We enjoyed the spectacular view with the afternoon tea service. There was quite the variety of tea to choose from, and jam, including organic raspberry and strawberry. Tiers of treats brought out - vegetarian for us. All cute and pretty, from savory to sweet. The waiter poured our tea for us, so we had to rely on him to keep our tea cups filled. Because the tea leaves sat in the pot, the brew got bitter by the 2nd cup. There was a pianist who also helped make the atmosphere very relaxing for a special afternoon tea.

Yelp
I visited the lounge for high tea last Monday afternoon and was treated to exactly what one hopes for when reserving a table for high tea: an exquisitely beautiful experience. Everything, from the china, to the tea selection, to the view - is the height of luxury. We were presented with something like 12 blends of tea in a box, prepared to be chosen by scent. I chose a delicate Darjeeling, my favorite. At a 3:30 tea time in winter, we were able to watch the sun go down over the beautiful city view, to the sounds of a very talented classical pianist. I won't forget it soon. Some minor lapses in service - the staff did not understand my spouse's shellfish allergy and served it on the same plate as other foods, and they initially charged me for caviar but never served it. I later realized this, and they dug out our receipt and rectified the issue on the spot. No questions asked. We enjoyed the experience so much, overall, that we're already daydreaming about which Ritz to visit next.
