Hands down the best place for seafood in Metro Detroit. Katie is awesome and is always willing to talk about the products with you. Fresh options change all the time, which gives you a great chance to try fish you haven't seen before. I can't recommend this place enough. I'm in there pretty much every week, and I always get great service.

Enjoyed the crab carbonara but there was barely any crab meat. My ginger ale was a small glass bottle costing 4$. I was really expecting more for my money and first time visit.

If you want the freshest seafood around than you need to check out the lobster pot. I travel past multiple other fish markets just to go there. As you walk in you'll more than likely be greeted by Katie behind the counter. Her customer service and knowledge on all things seafood is top notch. It's so hard to narrow down what I like the best from there, weather you choose fresh oysters, scallops, or tuna, you can't go wrong. They also have frozen items that are great to keep on hand. It's so easy to pull a lobster tail, frog legs, or even the colossal king crab legs out of the freezer at a moments notice and have a great dinner in no time. Lastly I have to mention the ready to eat cocktail shrimp and sauce that is made fresh on-site. Sooooo good! So what are you waiting for, ditch the supermarket fish section and give the lobster pot a try, you'll be happy you did.

I love the Lobster Pot so much and I love the owners even more. Katie is the best. It's like this hidden gem. I want to spread the word because I love small businesses but it's like our own private impeccable fishing hole! So knowledgeable; fair pricing and freshest of fish!

We bought a salmon fillet for a Christmas meal. The quality was excellent and it tasted amazing! Will definitely be back to try more seafood.

The products from this place are fantastic. It seems to be a family-run operation, and they're super professional at the counter--no pressure, just helpful service. You do your thing, get what you need. I picked up six pounds of lobster claws and knuckles for $250--still a solid deal for high-quality meat. Yes, it comes frozen, but that's how it goes. Let it thaw slowly, then toss it into some rolls. Whether you're going butter or mayo, grab some Pepperidge Farm side-cut brioche buns from Kroger, toast them up, and go to town. Add a simple topping if you want--whatever you do, it's money. Thanks for being here! The building is fine, with street parking available. The area is a little sketchy--it's Detroit. But don't let that stop you. This place is worth the stop.

Only the best here at the Lobster Pot Detroit! From fresh to frozen to service it's always spot on. For larger/special orders it's a good idea to call a few days ahead like we did with our Lobster sizes. It's well worth the drive from the burbs, we will be back!

Simply the BEST, FRESHEST seafood in metro Detroit! Literally everything here is delicious! And their prices are extremely reasonable. They will always tell you the truth & never try to upsell you. A sure fire indication of their incredible quality is the fact that they wholesale to many of your favorite pricey seafood restaurants around town. We are always especially impressed by their scallops. Always fresh, large & amazing- especially the fry scallops. Nice people too.

The Lobster Pot is the BEST seafood market in Detroit and the metro area!! The seafood is so fresh, tasty and a huge selection. They have live Maine lobster and they will even cook it for you upon request! We just had some of the best lobster I've ever eaten. The owners are just fabulous. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly!! If my seafood does not come from the Lobster Pot I won't eat it!!

Bought 22 live lobsters from here for a cookout. They came just as big as advertised for a great price. My family is from Long Island and are lobster enthusiasts, and they were all impressed at the quality of these lobsters. The employees gave me clear instructions on how to cook them and were genuinely interested in the success of my party. Fantastic find on the east side of Detroit.
