Great variety, nearly all organic produce (local whenever possible) and friendly staff. My favorite place to shop!

We have been shopping at the Local General store for 7 years and love it!! The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about their products, produce and otherwise. The produce is usually very fresh. This is definitely the way to go for grocery shopping!

Very eclectic selection of food, household stuff, women's clothing, handicrafts that appear to be well curated. Quality stuff with commensurate pricing . Kind of unique. Worth poking around it. Found my favorite local sausages there from galloping goose so I'm happy.

This is one of my absolute favourite cross-town commute stops. As a cyclist, it's so nice to have a locally owned general store I can quickly pop into for my produce, my sustainable toiletries, a frozen or baked treat, a gift... they've got it! AND a focus on local and environmentally preferable goods :) all with my bike in sight!

These types of markets are too few. We need a dozen more of these and we can get rid of the big box stores. The staff are super friendly. They have locally grown produce and locally made products.

Wonderful selection of local, sustainable, handmade, and fair trade options for produce, baked goods, pantry items, coffee, candy, cold drinks, dairy, frozen meats, snacks, pet food, candles, pottery, art, cards, jewelry, children's toys, stationery, clothing, toiletries, and more! Even has a mini mill to freshly mill your own flour. Lots of gluten free (bread and baked goods, pasta, etc) and vegan options. I will say the till can be slow, they need to make a bit more counter space for the check out area. But honestly it's worth it!

Love this store. Everything they carry, from their baked goods, meat, cheese and produce to their locally crafted goods, feels chosen with care. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. We are so lucky to have this in our neighbourhood

Yelp
This place seems like a very sinister place. There is junk out front, they try to sell casset tapes, VHS's and CD's that are falling apart. They don't seem to sell food, and only once have I seen them open in my two months of walking by every day... except for tonight at 11pm. It's the first time I've seen the lights on.

Yelp
This charming store has won our hearts. One feels like it's been here for years and the owners make you feel like family. It really is a general store with everything from yummy baking, fresh produce, specialty foods, baby items, art & jewelry, skin products & cleaning products. Each item is carefully sourced aiming to keep as local as possible, natural & organic... Your health, happiness & budget in mind. Go say hello and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Very convenient and friendly local grocer. For a small shop there is a very good selection of high quality veggies, dairy products (milk in bottled glasses and locally sourced organic cheeses) some meats (frozen only?), coffee beans, snacks, spices, salsas and condiments, fancy local sodas, even some gifts for kids and adults and some clothing and soaps. They get Frye bread on Wednesday Friday and Saturdays and they usually sell out it's so good. Excellent locally made cookies are a fav here. And for some reason their tomatoes are the best tasting tomatoes I have had, sometimes a tad more expensive that the big box stores but really worth it. So glad this exists within walking distance to my home!!

Yelp
This place is unwelcoming, and the people act like they want you to leave. I suspect something creepy is going on behind the scenes.

Yelp
Shopped there recently -- very nice feel. Not a huge selection, but then they don't claim to be a Thrifty's. They are more a boutique setup. Check them out!
