The Local Juicery + Kitchen

I found this cute place as I was looking specifically for an Acai bowl while I was only briefly in Chattanooga. I ordered as a pickup and it was ready exactly on time. The atmosphere was cute and cozy and the staff was nice with my brief interaction. I ordered the PB & Acai bowl, added plant protein, and replaced bananas on top with blueberries. It was good for being all vegan and plant protein, but it wasn’t the best Acai bowl I’ve ever had. That being said, if I’m in Chattanooga again and craving an Acai bowl, I would still go back!

This place is really the spot to go to if you’re in Chattanooga! So many great juices, great prices, and they actually taste good. You can tell they have guidelines they follow because they juices are balances and aren’t just sweet to cover up other ingredients like beets!

This experience that I had today was traumatic and disheartening. I work with Uber Eats delivery and I was fulfilling an order for a customer today. The girl working at the cashier had me perform protocol that came off as discrimination. In the app, we are supposed to verify the order and that is it. I showed her the screen as proof that I was picking up the order on behalf of Uber Eats for said customer before she even asks. I am aware to at least do this to show I am not lying about picking up an order. She had me click through multiple times to show her the navigation screen which is basically the map quest I use in the app to deliver a customer order. I was met with the gaslighting behavior and insensitivity from everyone working there. I just started delivering with Uber Eats yesterday and I have fulfilled multiple orders from high end restaurants and delivering in courthouses and beyond that. As an Uber Eats driver it is my goal to bring integrity, happiness and comfort to everyone. Today I was met with uncomfortability, gaslighting behavior and no accountability. I try to do my job with a smile on my face and with enthusiasm even on days where I feel extremely drained. It is very disheartening to have your character tested especially unnecessarily. If there is a few bad apple in the bunch for Uber Eats drivers the good people should not have to pay for those doings of others.

Amazing experience! Excellent customer service! I cannot remember her name but she was so lovely, friendly and had the most beautiful blue eyes and long brown hair! Had a pre-made fresh pressed juice from the cooler, hubby had a bulletproof coffee with coconut oil and we both had a large smoothie, the coconut sky? And berry nutty. Everything we delicious. Bathroom was clean and cute. The space was incredibly inviting, inclusive and cozy with many beautiful plants and a little wellness market on the wall! Will always be back when in the area.

Love the vibe, menu, and friendly staff. Smoothies were awesome and wholesome healthy snacks available too. Tried chia pudding and it was awesome. Lots of options for all diets and a cute market with local goods. Def stop in!

Wonderful place to grab a full belly smoothie. The smoothies have been phenomenal every time I have gotten one. The atmosphere is kind and genuine. I highly recommend grabbing a smoothie here!!

I could have their PB acai bowl everyday and today it hit the spot. It's so clean and so healthy and so good. The fruit is always fresh and the bowl is very filling.

This place has a wonderful ambiance with beautiful plants indoors. The service is excellent, and the juices are fantastic—fresh and flavorful. However, I wish they were served in glass bottles instead of plastic. I did a two-day cleanse and thoroughly enjoyed the taste of every juice. I also tried their wraps and crunchy salad, which are healthy, though not particularly delicious.

Super nice customer service and good value for the price. The guy behind the counter even brought their protein mix out (unsolicited) to show me the ingredients when I said I had an allergy. Great selection of fresh pressed juices too. Atmosphere is bright and airy. Would go back.

I'm sad. In 2015 when I visited this spot I would have happily given it 5 stars hands down. Talked to the owner who appeared passionate about health food and enjoyed some great bowls. Unfortunately this visit was disappointing. The prices were not posted anywhere, nowhere, no paper menus with prices. This may be fine for people where money is not an object but although I appreciate the benefits of health food and am willing to pay and this is not the case for me. I found this distasteful. We were quickly told that is was a branding choice to exclude prices and a way to engage more with clientele except when I asked how much things were they didn't know... there is so many more ways to increase engagement between customer and staff. Also, all this being said prices are totally reasonable for a juice bar. Next the avocado toast was missing at least two ingredients the avocado oil and the Himalayan salt, so it was pretty bland, small portion and left us wanting the ingredients we were missing. The coconut sky smoothie was good, sweeter than my usual taste but totally yummy. Overall, this visit left me not wanting to return when I was so looking forward to this long awaited return. It didn't hold the same warmth, authenticity and care this time around.

I ABSOLUTELY recommend this place!!! This is what every experience everywhere should be like! I walked in and was immediately welcomed in...something like 15 minutes before closing time. The lady behind the counter stopped what she was doing to say "Welcome" and then didn't even rush me to order. I got the juices I wanted and she asked if it was my first time coming in and told me about her favorite juices. She rang me up and thanked me for visiting. HELLO, someone give this person a raise!!! I bought the PearFect, Pineapple Refresher, and Watermelon Bliss. The PearFect was literally perfect! I wish I ordered 100 of them! The ingredients are so well balanced and refreshing. I can't recommend the Pineapple Refresher; it tasted more like a cucumber refresher. I couldn't really taste any pineapple at all. The watermelon bliss was good. The bag they put my juice in had a handwritten "We love you" on there, and I can't think of a better simple gesture. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Their smoothies are the best tasting and are healthier than other places serve. It's worth the extra cost.

Everyone that works here is so nice. Super cute ambiance. The pink energy smoothie has me coming back every week. They have a great selection of popsicles that they make in-house. Along with other food/ home items for purchase. This place never disappoints!!!

We just had a thoroughly disappointing experience. We were driving home from Atlanta back to Kentucky and wanted to find a nice healthy spot in Chattanooga... First, I will say that the staff was very nice. That said, everything else was an expensive illusion of nutrition. We went there because "kitchen" is in the name. The only food was premade wraps and toast. There were no prices on the menu (which should have made us run away). We ordered two pieces of avocado toast and one smoothie and paid $36. The avocado toast came out and was small pieces of bread with just enough avocado to cover the toast (it did have good sprouts and tomato). They were barely appetizers. The smoothie tastes ok but is nothing special. We left hungry and feeling ripped off. Oh...and...they advertised free muffins for Mother's Day to moms. The muffin was a mini muffin the size of a sample. I guess being hungry is really hip?

Very cool atmosphere from the moment you walk in you see plants everywhere and sage off to the side and other nutritional drinks or snacks. You walk up to the counter and you're greeted with a smile by both workers is HUGE to me. I had a horrible experience at a hotel this week and it left me feeling down and when I walked in here the two ladies lifted my spirit by remembering there is still good people in the world. Everyone is welcome here and they do have some lgbtq stuff up ( if that's your thing ) and the food was absolutely delicious. I got a gluten free muffin that was good and a key lime pie that was delicious and really tasted like the real deal except it was a health version made with cashew and lime ! I got two shakes my husband enjoyed his mine was Ok I just wish you could sub oat milk for free instead of almond because they ultimately cost the same from grocery stores and such. Oat milk is an add on sub but it was still ok. I think the pie atmosphere and kindness alone was worth the trip ! Wish I had more time to hang out ! Thanks to much local juicery

Love this place. My favorite juice is Glow has apples,kale,lemon, celery, cucumber. Very good. I also tried the Blueberry with cashew milk cheesecake. Omg it's SO good. Can't wait to get more.

Acai bowl i love the plants inside and the staff has been very friendly both times ive come in so far

I've gone in this place multiple times every time I get ignored and never helped. I see females and people of color come in and they get helped immediately these people are sexist and not considerate to everyone!

Found this amazing place on the way to Orlando. I would make this a stop every time. Great juices. Great toasts. Everyone traveling loved it. Just the vibrant colors of their juices and smoothies make for a great start of the day or pick me up. Plenty of comfy seating options although many are closed off due to COVID. Seriously you'll feel healthier and revived just walking into this place. Have any drink they offer. They're all great!

Great cold-pressed juicery and kitchen. A great and healthy, Southside shop for staying hydrated and refreshed. The staff is informative, the environment is welcoming, and the offerings are delightful. They offer many grab-and-go items in addition to their made-to-order smoothies and bowls. Be sure to get your grab-and-go juices early though as they sellout quickly.

I have looked into the store. I don't understand what that has to do with what I said. You can say you're all inclusive and welcome everyone but you aren't and don't. I didn't see me say anything hurtful but an honest review. You don't have a why but I assume it was because of Covid.. which still wouldn't be a good reason bc many people in the area don't have the luxury of being able to go cashless. You might not mean to cut out a large portion of people from being able to access your store and enjoy healthier options but you absolutely are. Also I'm not looking for a sit down, just gave an honest review and impression. Have a great day, I mean no hate :)

Love this little spot! It's right around the corner from our condo and so cute. My fave is the PB açaí bowl, the perfect amount of sweetness and fruit for a healthy lunch. My husband really likes the smoothies. Yes, it does take a few minutes to get your order, but it's cause they make very thing fresh to order so it's worth it. Highly recommend for a quick grab and go bite or drink.

This place is so good! The key lime pie is amazing, I wish I could get my pie crust to be that delicious and they seem like very nice people, I had a cute little note on my to go bag that said "we love you" . I'll be back for sure !

I really wanted to like this place and I actually used to, but today is the second time in a week that they've put nuts in my açaí bowl after telling them both times I'm allergic to all nuts. Clearly they don't care to pay attention to the special needs of customers and that says a lot to me. Especially when it comes to an allergy (as severe as mine is). Aside from that the inside is beautiful and they have some great items and options- when actually listening to your order, of course. I feel bad for the business owner and hope they can get this under control. Could've been bad had I not noticed even after them "double checking" about the nut allergy...

Extremely friendly service, deliciously fresh food and drinks, served in a pleasant environment. I come here monthly and thoroughly enjoy the fresh squeezed juice and toast with hummus and avocado. There has always been a friendly staff member to help me with my many questions. The owner is active in the community, which I appreciate, and supports local initiatives with time and restaurant space.

It's a very nice establishment. Everyone was friendly and ordering was easy. The only thing we ordered were açaí bowls so I cannot really give a comprehensive review. We did enjoy them but the base was different from any other we have had. Perhaps it contained more almond milk. If I were to be back in the area I would return and try something else next time.

Friendly and helpful service; DO have a Ginger Shot! was there for grab 'n go juices and would readily return. Place came as a recommend by the waitress from Bluegrass Grill (across the street) when initially seeking a smoothie there.

My husband and I stopped here while in Chattanooga. We split a PB Açaí Bowl and I had a Ginger Shot. The bowl was delicious and refreshing. COVID practices are safe and they required masks (thank goodness!!). They are not allowing indoor dining right now but they did have several small tables set up outside that we sat at. It was very lovely and I left our meal feeling great! Staff was also nice and our food turn around time was quick. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Both the service and the food are just ok here. I was staying nearby, so I was able to walk to this location so it was convenient but I would not go out of my way to come here.

Whenever I want to make good food choices and feel good, I go by Local. Not only do I love the owners but the green smoothie is perfection and sometimes, like on my birthday, I swing by to get macarons. I haven't had an açaí bowl in awhile but everything they have is fresh, made to order, and supporting a local small business. Get over there, especially this summer. They've also started having some cool markets and social events - check out their Facebook.

Found this little gem with a recommendation from a friend, and it did not disappoint! My wife and I tried the PB Açaí bowl and an order a piece of your avocado toast. Thankfully we decided to get our own instead of sharing because I would easily be placing another order right now instead of telling you guys how great it was. The Açaí bowl was delectable and packed full of fresh bananas and strawberries with a topping of peanut butter and granola. As if that isn't great enough, I added the avocado toast because it seemed to be calling my name despite not really needing to order it. WELL WORTH THE GUILT. The perfectly toasted sourdough bread is topped heavily with an avocado mash and topped with the slightest drizzle of olive oil and finished off with fresh sprouts and heirloom tomatoes cut so precisely to fit the toast in a visually appealing manner. Let me also add this restaurant is a good fifteen miles from my home and was brought to my home via a local delivery service. Despite the travel time my food was still WELL worth it. If you are looking for a healthy vegan breakfast and want to support a local business give it a try! I promise it's worth it and I personally can't wait to visit this quaint little shop myself once things return to normal.

Secret gem of Chattanooga? Perhaps. This place is so on point. There are so many options for juices and smoothies that this place will keep you coming back often! The acai bowl was delicious and a good size to split for two people. They also have pitaya bowls! Exciting because I don't see too many juice/smoothie places that offer these bowls. They also let you sample any juice they have - great for when you have no idea what to order. They have some fruity popsicles as well, but make sure to ask them for it. I got a watermelon one which was delicious. The grab and go food is also delicious. I got to try the curry quinoa salad which was not too sweet and had a very spicy-ful curry taste without overdoing it. The collard green wrap had a bit more "raw" feel to it, is super crunchy, and packed with fresh vegetables. These meal boxes are definitely filling, so don't worry about whether the amount will be enough for a meal. The entire place is incredibly spacious and very well decorated with plenty of seating and hipster magazines to peruse. There is also a wall lined with some local products as well as food items (granola, etc.) For Chatt, this is a lovely healthy food option in the city that does juice + smoothies exceptionally well.

I love this place! Came after a red eye flight so I definitely needed an energy boost. I got the Triathlete smoothie with water instead of almond milk and it still tastes great! I never had half of an avocado in smoothies before, but now I want to try making it myself. It's very creamy and you can't believe it doesn't have milk (or plant based milk).

Great place! Very fresh and such a calming environment. They offer a variety of Açaí bowls, juices, popsicles, smoothies and Kombucha. (They also have almond butter instead of Peanut Butter which is great!!) The bowls are kind of pricy but it's worth it because everything is very fresh and the bowls are large! The interior is very ascetically pleasing as well and it works well with the "food" they offer.

I absolutely LUV this place!! The vibe is super chill and it feels like I am stepping into a happy, healthy, welcoming atmosphere similar to some places in California or Hawaii. The farmer's market bicycle is super cool!!! The cold press juices are fresh, organic, and ridiculously delicious too!! Absolutely, hands down, the customer service is super awesome!! I especially love the fresh, young coconuts!! Andie and Zack are the best employees ever!! They will make magically delicious and healthy smoothies, pour in house fresh brewed Kombucha, and crack open fresh coconuts all day for you!! They definitely represent healthy, happy fruit & veggie loving people who walk the talk and genuinely love helping you find the juice or smoothie that fits your needs and desires. Another wonderful touch are the Moon Juice Beauty and Brain dust (from Venice, CA)! Just add one to your smoothie and feel the difference! Also, I had the pleasure of meeting the super soft and sweet dog named Ari (short for Ariana Grande) who loves greens and fresh coconut!! Thanks so much for being such an awesome, chill spot!! I will definitely be returning again and again!!

My food and smoothie were very yummy but when the smoothie got here it had a split down the side and was shooting smoothie across the room. Got all over my clothes and my puppies face.

Great quality, fresh, well thought through for the health conscious. Great smoothie bowls, juices, smoothies and even a few coffee items. The service was wonderful from Ashley, the decor was very inviting and trendy, urban hippie. I had the Green Smoothie Bowl, Hub had P. B. Acai. Hub's was very fresh and tasty, mine was very fresh and green tasting, but good and very tolerable for those wanting a bit more health zing. 4 stars because although quality, 10$ still expensive for a Smoothie Bowl.

So the food is here is amazing! The staff here are amazing ! They'll walk you through everything if you never been. They have free samples and have a good variety of foods and drinks that you can customize. I highly recommend !!

The Acai was too liquid and runny and tasted not as good as other places I had Acai Bowl. The place is very nice and enjoyable to be in. Nice service.

They are enforcing social distancing and I felt safe ordering and waiting for my food. The person working was super nice and helpful. Some cool products and snacks displayed inside, aesthetically it's super cute (no dining in the establishment tho bc of Covid, but still thought it was a cute place!!!) pretty yummy smoothie bowls (we both got Pb& acai bowls) that were a good size! Delicious drip coffee for being $2.50. Definitely recommend this spot.

Local Juice is so fresh! A beautiful juice spot, PB and açaí is my favorite thing on the menu. The call ahead option is quick, easy and low contact with curbside. Useful during covid when we are self quarantined before seeing family. You also can't beat any of the Paletas (pops).

I came in to try one of their bowls and was ecstatic to see several baked vegan options! I have some food sensitivities and am always excited to support a business that has food, especially baked goods, that I can eat. I had their green bowl and treated my husband and I to a piece of key lime pie for our wedding anniversary. The staff and owner were very welcoming and answered any questions I had about ingredients. We also tried two of their delicious homemade popsicles. I highly recommend checking out their offerings or tracking down their popsicles cart as they venture out.

YUM! We happened upon this place sorta by accident and so glad we did! Service was great and food was awesome. I got the PB & Açaí and my husband got the Paradise bowl. We thoroughly enjoyed both!

So so so good! Super cute and perf for insta pics! The quality of everything is amazing! I got "The Yogi" so amazing! Not a thick smoothie but taste like nectar/icecream!! I also had the "elGREENGOBOWL". One word, AMAZING! Over all I 10/10 recomend :)

One of our favorite places in Chattanooga and we make sure to visit everytime we're in town. The PB and Acai bowl is delicious and generous in portion. Very fresh, clean, friendly, well priced.

Chattanooga is really fortunate right now to have so many options for vegans/vegetarians, and The Local Juicery & Kitchen is certainly one of the great ones. Whether you're looking for a fresh pre-made juice in their fridge, or perhaps a smoothie or an acai bowl at the bar they have you covered. Maybe you're looking for more though. Like helpful health advice, juice cleanses, and some kale chips to snack on? Yes that's all a part of the Local Juice experience too, especially as their staff is so helpful if you have questions. I was a 'juice virgin', for lack of a better term, when I went in, but all the staff were as helpful answering my questions on my first visit as they have been helping me out with any additional inquiries on all visits since then. I'd say too, perhaps as I stick out as a 'non-traditional' juice fan, they've come to know me and are quite welcoming too whether I see them in the store or around town. I still have yet to try everything I'd like to try there, including an acai bowl and a juice cleanse as I tend to use them as single meal supplements and not full day supplements, but I've enjoyed very much what I have had thus far. As Chattanooga is again becoming quite the bastion for good raw/vegan/vegetarian options I can even say comparatively to Southside Sqweeze, another Chattanooga based local juice and raw food establishment, the prices are a bit cheaper here at Local though where Southside might have the advantage is a broader variety of pre-made juice selections in their fridge and now they have two locations for added convenience. Though as The Local Juice has now started deliveries too I can tell they're trying to make their juice as accessible as possible too, plus their Main St. location alone makes it a prime spot for their target audience. So whether you're a first time juicer, or a veteran, definitely hop in to The Local Juice on Main St. and check out all that they have to offer.

Not too thrilled about this experience. Was on the way back from Nashville and looked online to see who in the Chattanooga area had Matchless Coffee Soda. I saw that this place did so I made a detour to grab it and an acaí bowl. Upon arrival 2 workers were talking in the front- one said hi and then they ignored me when I just stood there. I placed for my order and the woman asked "what soda?" I said again coffee soda and the girl by her said "we don't have it right now". They didn't even check the tap or ask anyone else so I just said ok.... before coming here I checked their Facebook and Instagram and saw about coffee soda but NO inclination that they were out recently. The acaí bowl was pretty good but I'd suggest getting new to-go containers because he lids are terrible. Probably will go to the other coffee shop in the area next time if I want coffee soda.
