Bryce Canyon National Park Travel Guide

"A historic on-site hotel and dining complex with original Western-style cabins that offer rustic but well-maintained lodging and unbeatable proximity to rim viewpoints and trails—many key overlooks and trailheads are within easy walking distance. The on-site dining room serves reliably good, classic fare (expect items like elk chili, burgers and quesadillas) and provides convenient meal options for guests who prefer to stay inside the park." - Lydia Mansel Lydia Mansel Lydia Mansel is a writer with more than eight years of experience editing and writing for both brands and online publications—with a particular focus on travel, fashion, and lifestyle. Bryce Canyon National Park: A Guide to the Best Hiking, Stargazing, and Lodging

"Within the park, the only place to dine is the restaurant inside the Lodge at Bryce Canyon (serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, April to October). With a large stone fireplace and soaring barn-like ceilings, the dining room’s rustic charm matches the progressive steakhouse menu, which includes everything from elk chili and ribeyes to a vegan bowl with Beyond Meat."

The Lodge is centrally located great for all the hikes and lookout points such as sunset and sunrise point. We stayed in the cabins. There was no wifi in the cabins but the hotel building and central lodge area had wifi. The main building has a dining room with good food. The pizza place was awesome for lunch.

Dinners were surprisingly great and the location can't be beat. Mattresses could use a refresh and the breakfast buffet was missing a few things (like something to put on the oatmeal). All in all, a wonderful trip and well worth it to spend a few nights in such a magical place.

Worst hotel of our 10 day tour! Room was very warm when we arrived but we couldn't seem to adjust the temp. We called downstairs & was told it was slow, give it 20 min. That did nothing so I went to the desk to ask for maintenance. Now they said the rooms don't have a/c! What? Then what were we waiting 20 minutes for? They suggested opening the window or door & putting on a fan. We are doing that but it's still too hot. Not what we were expecting at all! On top of that, our burger at dinner was way overcooked & the rooms are wicked dark - we needed to put on every light. We will be telling our tour operator. Will never come back to this hotel.

The Western Cabins at the Lodge at Bryce Canyon provided an exceptional stay! The location, just a 20-second walk from the Canyon will be something I’ll remember. We loved our stay and the traditional cabins were spacious and perfect for a one night stay. The night-sky, full of stars was lovely also. A huge thank you to Michael who looked after us at dinner in the Dining Room. We loved the dinner and chatting with Michael. Lots of great stories and we wish you all the best Mike! Hope to see you again!

This review is for the restaurant. I had modest expectations for a meal in the park, and the restaurant greatly exceeded them. It is a breakthroughs setting. Service was both fast and friendly. We liked our so much that we came back after our first lunch twice, once for another lunch and once for dinner. I had a hearty and delicious vegan bowl (ask for extra green chili if like me you enjoy heat). Second lunch was an excellent elk chili. For dinner I had a14 Oz ribeeye, perfectly prepared with excellent roasted potatoes and asparagus, cooked just right to have just a little bite left. My leftover steak went into a sandwich next day. Highly recommend the cheesecake for dessert.

We stay in Bryce Cabins August 26, 2025, we were in cabin 502, we literally walked a short distance and we were at the rim, we loved being able to see the canyon at different times. Sunrise and sunset are remarkable don’t miss it. The cabins are awesome. No AC but you won’t need it, they do have heat. Our room had 2 queen beds with a connector door to the other cabin which would be nice if you had a family. Room has coffee, tea and a microwave. We got up to the sunrise and deer in front of our cabin.

Comfortable stay for 1 night at Bryce Canyon. We were in Sunset Motel, which had reasonably sized rooms, with coffee making facilities. Room was in a great location for afternoon sun and a 5 minute walk to the rim trail. Setting was peaceful. 5 minute walk to main hotel with restaurant and gift shop. We ate at the hotel, food was lovely with quick service. Again for a national park, the accommodation was absolutely fine. Would stay here again to be in the middle of the park.

We stayed in a Western cabin in the summertime and loved this place. Check in went very smoothly. We didn’t try to check in early instead just spent time in the park versus needlessly stressing the process. The folks in the Lodge were very knowledgeable. The bed was very comfy. The place was sparkling clean especially the bathroom. We stayed at #525 which you should request. It’s the furthest out and has nice views with short walk to the rim. We preferred there was no WiFi as we go to national parks to disconnect. We have T Mobile and did have a few bars of service. There is no A/C but didn’t find it a problem. The cabin was warm-ish when we checked in. But there is a ceiling fan and we opened all the windows and it was fine. It gets chilly at night. We used the gas fireplace which adds to the perfect National Park Service vibe. We ate several times at the lodge and enjoyed it. The best benefit is access to the Rim trail within steps of the cabin. We caught a sunrise, a sunset and a night sky ranger talk.
