Beautiful hotel! Even for winter this place is wonderful with its indoor pool and hot tub, even though hot tub outside was still open i decided to stay in and enjoy the indoor one. Rooms were very clean plenty of space, clean linen, loved the christmas decor in the lobby. Really enjoyed the little paved trail out front along the lake and the little bit of beach area we could ge down to at night to find some yooperlite rocks! Sat next to the fire pit til super late at night was relaxing and very peaceful with the lake right there. Would love to get one of little cottages next time, definitely will be planning a trip back here again in the future!

Veronica and her team were amazing!! This is a snap of the email we sent to her and her team ☺️ we would absolutely recommend them for a wedding. Hi Veronica ✨✨ I hope by now you’ve received our card, but just in case you haven’t, Rico and I wanted to reach out personally. There are certain moments in life that hold profound meaning and our wedding day was truly one of them. We wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for everything you and your team did to make our day so special. We know there were several challenges behind the scenes (particularly with our coordinator), and we genuinely appreciate how gracefully you and your staff handled everything. Your ability to keep things running smoothly and shield us from those issues did not go unnoticed. From start to finish, your professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail went above and beyond our expectations. Our guests could not stop complimenting the beauty of the venue, the incredible service, and the overall atmosphere it was everything we envisioned and more. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being such an integral part of one of the most meaningful days of our lives. Please extend our appreciation to everyone who helped behind the scenes to make sure the day flowed so seamlessly. We are so grateful to have celebrated our love in such a beautiful space, surrounded by such a thoughtful and dedicated team. With heartfelt thanks, Rico & Chanell Ivy 🥰

I was very excited to book an overnight retreat for me and my husband and the anticipation was not met with any disappointment. The location along the shores of Lake Erie, with stunning views from our room, the pools, and the on-site dining were exceptional. The lobby was very welcoming and grand and we were met with friendly staff who answered all of our questions both in person and via text, which was very convenient. We appreciated the wonderful on-site amenities including a large and beautiful outdoor pool and cozy hot tub, beautifully laid out bocce, oversized chess board, corn hole, and our personal favorite - deck shuffleboard. The heated indoor pool and hot tub were also second to none, allowing comfort and amazing views, especially at sunset. Staying in a resort where the pools are actually made for swimming was a treat and we appreciated the very generous hours that allowed us to take advantage of all the on-site outdoor activities, including a fantastic dinner at the on-site lounge. Our room while just slightly worn in some ways, was very stylish, spacious, clean, and comfortable. We're so glad that we booked a room with a balcony, as we enjoyed reading and watching the water from the comfort of the outdoor seating. We loved the complimentary bike rentals that allowed us to quickly explore the next door park and enjoy a beautiful morning pedal through town. These types of services make you feel like your stay is extra special. The s'mores package that we received at checkin to use at night around the many patio gas fire pits also made our stay extra special. Even though we live within an hours distance of The Lodge, we feel our stay was well worth the money spent, as we felt like we were on a fantastic vacation without having to travel far. We highly recommend the experience as a quick get away for locals or for those traveling a far distance. We cannot wait to return!

We had a cottage for two nights including Thanksgiving Day. Cottage was clean but smaller than expected - max 4 adults or 2 adults, a kid or two. No indoor dining table so cold weather made meals challenging. Efficiency kitchen - no stove. Maintenance was prompt to fix our instant hot water heater. The Lodge was decorated beautifully. Thanksgiving Dinner at the Lodge was very good. Staff were exceptionally helpful when a family member needed extra attention.

We stayed at The Lodge at Geneva On The Lake and it was a nice, pleasant experience. The staff was polite, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was good. We went after Labor Day and unfortunately, most of the little shops, restaurants and activities close after Labor Day. Next time we go, we will go earlier in the summer to be able to take advantage of the shops, etc. (although some people enjoyed it being less crowded). The Lodge has a nice pool, which looked inviting, but we didn't use it. There is a walkway and people were able to ride bikes there (which the Lodge provided). You can sit outside in comfortable wooden chairs and enjoy seeing the lake. There were still pretty flowers which beautified the grounds. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

We had a really relaxing and enjoyable stay. A very quiet atmosphere with excellent service, beautiful views of the lake and plenty of amenities. Wish we had brought our bathing suits to enjoy the 2 pools (indoor and outdoor) and the hot tub. The restaurant was quite good for dinner, and the breakfast buffet ample (worth the add-on to the room reservation). I absentmindedly left some clothes in the room at checkout, which were mailed back to me quickly. Definitely recommend!

All of the anticipation I had in advance of our visit was met with exceptional service, beautiful views, and very fun and comfortable amenities and accommodations. We love the lake-on location, so close to the park and the many wonderful wineries, etc of the Grand River Valley. The exceptional outdoor areas really make this place stand out. The pools that are actually large enough to swim in (unlike so many hotel pools these days), the indoor swimming and hot tub, the on-site food, the cottages, and of course, the extra special draw of the outdoor lawn games such as bocce, chess, corn hole, and deck shuffleboard, really set things apart and are part of why we booked this close-to-home retreat. We loved being able to get questions answered via text and the staff did a great job at providing tons of helpful information during booking, at check-in, and throughout our stay. Once we checked in we did not leave until check out time, with the exception of taking the complimentary breach cruisers out on a few rides each day. The on-site dining was very tasty, classy, comfortable, and affordable and offered amazing views over the lake, especially at sunset. We only spent one night, but we easily could have made it a full long weekend. We can't wait to return and bring friends along next time to take advantage of all that there is both on site and nearby. Bravo!

Google
Best place for a quick refresh for us. Great rooms, great pool & hottub area, customer satisfaction a top priority. Love bar/restaurant area. Food amazing! Have been going for 10 plus years and have never had a bad experience. Love cottages also. Wine shuttle experience always a fun time too!

Yelp
We were there on a girls' trip after Labor Day so the area was relatively quiet. We reserved two of the cottages and they were excellent! Very clean, quiet, and well-appointed. The cottages have big porches with views of the lake and are close to the main lodge. The bedding was excellent and lots of big, fluffy towels were provided. We had breakfast buffet at the lodge and it was very nice. Not the biggest variety but everything was well prepared and very fresh. It was well maintained and supervised. I especially liked the avocado toast station and the really fluffy scrambled eggs. We had excellent service. There are gas fire pits scattered throughout the property--some were fussy to light but they were very responsive about sending help. S'mores kits are provided to each guest nightly, which is a nice touch. There is a wonderful bike/walking trail that connects the property to the park and beach. Bikes are provided at no charge. We didn't try all the amenities but there are indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs with plenty of seating and really well maintained. The restaurant and bar in the lodge are pleasant and convenient.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my stay here! It smelled wonderful throughout the halls. The room was spacious and clean. They have a small store on site in case you forget anything or need some cold wine. The front desk also had a corkscrew to use! Very convenient. There is also a restaurant on site but we were not able to eat there. Everything looked good and they were pretty busy. The pool area is great! We enjoyed the hot tub but the pool was just as nice! They have indoor and outdoors pools which is great because it was rainy the day we stayed so we were able to still enjoy the pool. Overall I would stay again!

Yelp
The lodge is very popular and with good reason. The grounds are beautiful with stunning views of Lake Erie that the pictures don't do justice to. The service was friendly. They have EV chargers in the parking lot which was a nice perk. The room itself was fine. Nice view from the room, decent bed, working HVAC unit, and plenty of outlets. However, the light off the thermostat was very bright at night. Checkout at 11A is way too early. The quality of the food at the restaurant (Horizon) leaves a lot to be desired.

Yelp
Attended an event at the lodge. Please note- this is *Only* a review of the catering services, food and venue. This was a two night event. Friday - Match 14 was a cocktail party. It was located in a nice room where the bar was in the hallway and appetizers were waked around. The servers were very polite and kept the appetizers readily available. The bartenders were very busy but kept moving and serving everyone quickly. The weather for March was incredible and we were able to enjoy the convenient outside patio. This was very convenient and was thrilled the tables and chairs were there to enjoy outside with friends. On Saturday, March 15, there were appetizers, a program and dinner. The dinner consisted of a lovely salad, chicken, filet mignon, potatoes and green beans. Everything was well cooked - hot upon arrival and perfectly seasoned. Service was first rate! Desert' was brought in and placed by a coffee/tea bar. There was music and the dance floor was kept very busy ! Again, the weather was cooperative for some of the night and it was nice to go outdoors. Only disappointment was the door was held open by a rock. This unfortunately was a huge trip hazard. Won't ding the lodge other than they need a better means to hold a door open. Would definitely recommend their conference - party service !
google avatar

Jill K.

Yelp
Very quick and easy check in and also got a mini smores kit to be used at the fire place outside .unfortunately it was rainy the night we stayed so we didn't get to enjoy it. We did use the outdoor hot tub which was nice since it was cooler that day. The room was spacious and very clean! I would stay here again

Yelp
Restaurant is just ok.., service good...French onion soup way too sweet... too much sugar being used to caramelized the onions. Specials very strange .. also pricy.

Yelp
One night stay for a conference Check in was smooth and allowed us a couple early hours We spent time in the bar for drinks and apps, really enjoyed the cheese tray! Rooms were fine, any on the side facing parking lot are a let down. Yet they are same price?! Service was friendly and helpful The grounds are amazing. Plenty of space to explore in any season!

Catrina D.

Yelp
Stayed here for one night for a conference, checkin process was very easy, my room was clean, had a cute little patio overlooking the lake, I love that you can get a drink from the lounge and take it to your room, we also utilized the conference room and buffet breakfast/lunch the service was great and food was also good. Would definitely come back both for work and play!

Yelp
We had an amazing experience staying here for a winter wonderland wedding! The staff were welcoming, kind, friendly, and soooo helpful! We enjoyed the many little touches that made the experience warm and authentic. Although we stayed in one of the rooms on the main lodge, many of our family stayed in the adorable cabins along the water front. Both the main lodge accommodations and cabins were just beautiful!
google avatar

Yelp
Surprised to see only 3 stars here. We loved it! The pool was great and the bike rentals and the walk along the lake was wonderful. Charged our car for free overnight! Room was very clean, quiet and comfie and loved the evening s'mores with the friendly guests!

Yelp
Really liked the Lodge at Geneva. It is in the perfect spot right right on Lake Erie. Check in was a breeze, staff were friendly and seemed to like their jobs. You receive a bracelet to wear when you want to be poolside. My room was nothing special, a normal hotel room. The amenities are everything. Fire pits throughout the resort area. We used one each night we were there. There are cruiser bikes out front that you can use whenever you want during your stay. We took them to the strip a couple of times and rode them on the trail to the beach. Speaking of, that is another great feature- a trail goes directly through the resort area. I ran and biked on it during our stay. The lodge has a full size restaurant inside. They also have a poolside bar that has food and drinks. I was surprised by how early the pool bar closed everyday (I'm talking 5pm). The lodge has a wine shuttle that you can arrange to take you to nearby wineries which we did partake in (Frank, our driver, was awesome). Some of my friends stayed in the cottages. They were so cute and spotless! I definitely want to stay in one during my next visit. Overall, I had a great visit and I will be staying here again. You need to book pretty far in advance for peak summer and be warned it is pricey!

Yelp
Had a great time! We went one week before Memorial Day. Had Double queen room with couch. 3rd floor lake side without balcony. Pros: Outdoor hot tub open year round Outdoor pool open weeks before Memorial Day Free bicycles rental Kayak $25 Zip-lining $40 Indoor pool and hot tub 9 - 11 Showers in bathroom very close to pool Water bottle fill stations Gym open 24/7: dumbbells, bicycle, treadmill 8 am Yoga Gift shop with Brewdog beer open 9 - 9 Staff was nice and attentive Rooms were clean Refrigerator in room Multiple outlets by bed (although would recommend extension cord for side opposite of night stand) Outdoor large chess game Outdoor shuffle boards Outdoor corn hole Outdoor bocci ball S'mores by fire Nice walking path by lake Peaceful Cons: 1 micro-wave per floor Vending machines with only beverages Restaurant 8 - 11 and 4 - 8 (closed for lunch) Expensive but I think appropriately priced!

Yelp
Stayed here overnight. The hotel grounds outside look beautiful. Inside is sadly another story. The dead bugs all over the common area. The mold on the legs of furniture. The leaky ceiling in our room. This was just the tip of the iceberg unfortunately. The bar tender on Saturdays at around 1 pm was incredibly rude. I have no idea what the issue was other than she was not interested in taking care of customers. We only stopped in for one drink and she acted as if it was too much for her.My group brushed it off though and continued to enjoy our day. We enjoyed the wine tour. We came back for a swim and to grab a quick bite to eat before we went to bed. The service in the restaurant was the worst I have ever experienced in my life. The waitress Shalise, manager Alyssa, and chef Heidi all treated us terribly. I stayed in this hotel years ago and had a wonderful experience. The hotel and staff have gone down hill dramatically. We will not be back and will plan to spread the word and share our picture we took of the hotel.

Yelp
Ice Wine Festival Weekend. Pleasant and thorough greeting upon arrival. After an offsite dinner we enjoyed an evening in the lobby area in front of the fireplace while the guys taste tested bourbon and the ladies had "glogg" which is similar to a mulled wine we which warmed up and enjoyed sipping it on a chilly night. The view of Lake Erie is breathtaking. The outside area looks perfect for summer time with plenty of sitting and sunning area. Bocce ball, playground, sizable pool, shuffle board and life size checker or chess board and plenty of seating with what I believe a rectangular fire pit but it was covered for the winter.

Carrie R.

Yelp
Our family loves coming any time of the year, there is always something to do, no matter the weather. Rent a golf cart and explore downtown Geneva or take advantage of the lodges shuttle bus and go to winery or a few! Go for a walk in the snow with complementary snow shoes and enjoy the winter wonderland family friendly holiday weekends during the winter. Check out the indoor pool & hot tub, and the outdoor pool, hot tub, outdoor games, and outdoor bar during the summer.

Yelp
Stayed for a wedding. Great front desk service and room was spacious. Lots of areas to explore and beautiful views of Lake Erie! I would say just little pricey for the rooms

Cindy C.

Yelp
Peaceful quiet getaway in Ohio wine country. We were there for a midweek beautiful fall visit and it was perfect. We heard it is quite different during the busy summer season. Extremely friendly and helpful customer service. The Horizons restaurant on site was delicious.

Yelp
We've stayed at the Lodge a number of times and we always have a wonderful experience. This time happened to be the weekend they were decorating for Christmas and everything looked beautiful! Our first floor room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Can't wait for our next visit!

Yelp
The lot is absolutely gorgeous outside with lake having their unique menus has been really pleasing! It's always a great date night or a vacation

Yelp
We have a love-hate relationship with the lodge. Definately over priced and needs updating. Front desk serive is good, everyone is nice. They have added some cabins and the outdoor pool is nice. We had a balcony that was spacious and clean. In room coffee was blah. We had dinner & breakfast at the Restaurant Horizons. Breakfast buffet was good and the coffee was much better. Dinner was good but service was lacking. We go because it's convenient just a little over priced.

jennifer t.

Yelp
First of all, uber doesn't come here. If you want to go to the airport, prepare for a taxi service that will cost you $200 Also. Not one snack vending machine in the whole property. So if you wake up hungry at 2 on the morning, you're out of luck. You either go to the gas station (not within walking distance and uber doesn't come here) or wait until the morning. Supposedly the best hotel around here and you ain't even got vending machines? Even Rodeway Inn and hotels with hourly rates have vending machines. This hotel is shit, charging so much and you can't even buy a snack in the middle of the night?

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled into the parking lot of The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake. I wasn't expecting to find a beautiful hotel sitting directly on Lake Erie. The lawn is beautifully manicured, the building immaculately maintained and the views, breathtaking. I stayed at the hotel for 3 days while I attended a business meeting. The staff was friendly and eager to please. When we asked for more water, an additional table or the temperature adjusted, they were quick to assist. The hotel was quiet and the rooms were up to date, spacious and clean. The facility had 2 pools, an indoor and an outdoor. While I didn't use them, I appreciated that they were open until midnight. During my stay I ate in the Horizons restaurant on the property 6 times since the meal was included with my meeting. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, the options varied by day and they had an omelet station with many choices. Lunch and dinner were less impressive with the servers struggling to get the orders correct and my food being served cold. I'd love to visit again and spend time at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake just relaxing, but I'm not sure I'd plan on dining at the restaurant for anything other than breakfast.

Michelle J.

Yelp
Beautiful property, friendly staff. We had a two room sweet that while it was nice, it really needed updating. The leather dining room chairs were pretty worn & ripped. Couch had stains on it. The coffee machine needed cleaning badly too. Looked like the old water wasn't cleaned out. The hot water in our bathroom did not work. Ran the water for one hour ti heat up. However, after calling about that, we were discounted on our room. The restaurant was good, bar great too. Staff super nice & helpful. I would go back, hopefully they'll update the rooms.

Samantha M.

Yelp
Girls trip, 5 women total guest. Great things like pool, walking areas, close to many places to walk or drive. Bikes to use and wine tour shuttle. Food good at restaurant. Down side rooms are dated and AC unit leaked on floor all night and wasn't fixed like asked after first night, shower bit moldy and needed attention. Power outage both nights of stay. Cost of 1 room for all of us was pricey, even when split. Apparently the lodge has changed or going to change hands and the quality of this place could very much decrease soon if not addressed. For being a prime location on water with beautiful views and weddings every day, I'd like to see it maintained.

Chris W.

Yelp
BREAKFAST IS PROBLEMATIC. There is no complementary continental breakfast here. It was $8.99 per meal for the continental breakfast and you could only have cold food (cereal, fruit, and toast like pastries). Then you need to tip server. If you want the buffet breakfast which traditionally comes at most hotels it was $15.99 a plate. Additionally, you need reservations or you have to wait until a table is free. This was not clear to us until we arrived for breakfast. Overall, our stay was average. Room was not perfectly clean but ok. Had dinner at restaurant. Cost was high for the off season. Service was nice- people were friendly. I gave a low rate due to the high cost, mediocre room, cleanliness, and bad experience at breakfast.
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
Well overpriced for the experience. Stayed two nights and had a "fine" experience. The rooms have been renovated but on a string budget. We saw chips in the ceiling and bubbling carpet. The beds weren't 100% made when we arrived meaning the comforter wasn't pulled right and the bed skirt was tucked in. Odd and minor bit I have never walked into a hotel room for $300+/night and noticed that. The restaurant only has buffet breakfast which was disappointing as we aren't a fan of buffets. But dinner 9! The patio was delightful watching the sunset. Amazing views but make sure you get the gazebo side and not the pool under construction which was another disappointment. Probably the best choice to stay on the lake in the area, but they obviously know it and charge too much for it.

D M.

Yelp
The rooms are adequate. Breakfast at about $25 is a complete ripoff. They do not have fresh eggs. You can get an omelet but it is made from a bucket of yellow stuff. The bacon is paper thin. Sausage is an odd color and peculiar. English muffins are poor quality. The fresh fruit is questionably fresh-my guess is a prepackaged bag of melon chunks. Scrambled eggs on the steam table were flavorless. They served a bread pudding that was pasty and stuck to the pan. Pancakes were better but don't count on real syrup-just a prepackaged cup of corn syrup. C'mon Ohio Parks, you can do better than this. Did I mention that you can't even get a fresh egg...Free breakfast at the chain hotels is better quality.

Yelp
My wife surprised me for my 40th birthday, by booking a room at the Lodge for her and I for the weekend. The place was absolutely beautiful that sits on Lake Erie. The room was cozy and nice. We had the ability to access the general store on site, a restaurant for breakfast and dinner, along with a full-size bar. They have both indoor and outdoor swimming pools. In addition, they have nice cute cottages outside. We came back several other times and got the outside cottages that were not available the first time we came here. The cottages are very nice. Secluded from the hotel. Nice view of the Lake. Recommend staying here if you're in town.

Yelp
With breathtaking views of Lake Erie this hotel, located in Northeast Ohio Wine Country, is the ultimate relaxing retreat. Beyond the picturesque location, Geneva-on-the-Lakes's main attraction is the almost two dozen wineries in the area. Who knew Ohio had a wine country?! Guest can hop on a wine tour bus to explore the local wineries, an activity great for couples, or a bachelorette weekend. Recently I was lucky enough to be invited to stay at the resort and partake in the wine tour! I really enjoyed the weekend stay, and can't wait to return again. The hotel is welcoming and appears to have been recently updated. The room I stayed in was spacious and well equipped for a comfortable stay. The cozy in-room fireplace had me dreaming of returning again in winter! As far as amenities there is a small general store on site, a restaurant for breakfast and dinner, along with a full-size bar. They have both and indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as a gym. You can explore the grounds along the lakeside path, there's even bikes fun cruiser bikes for rent. If you need more space during your stay, there are brand new cottages for rent on the property with porches and shared fire pits. The wine bus shuttle hosted by the lodge is a convenient and fun way to get out and explore wine country. (I've written more about the wine bus tour on my blog moscatoismymantra.com) My Saturday night lodge stay included dinner and brunch at the lodge's restaurant, Horizon's Restaurant & Lounge. The dinner meals and dining experience were nice, nothing to rave about. Brunch is a self-serve buffet with lots to choose from. Honestly most items were underwhelming. Overall its nice to have a restaurant with lots of choice on site, but don't be expecting much. The lake setting is the main attraction to this lodge. I'd definitely recommend escaping to the Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake. Sometimes all we need is a little reset in a relaxing environment, this lodge is perfect for that. Disclosure: this trip was sponsored by the Lodge at Geneva on the Lake. All opinions are my own, honest review without influence.

Yelp
We enjoyed our two night stay at the Lodge this past weekend! This was my second time and both times were excellent! The lodge has a gorgeous, unobstructed view of Lake Erie. The hotel is impeccably maintained and so are the grounds! They have great sized rooms, especially the large suite was awesome for our family to congregate for breakfast each morning! The indoor pool is a good size and my family had a blast in it! They have an indoor hot tub, outdoor hot tub, and outdoor pool as well! In the summer, they have bikes to use/rent which is perfect because the small strip for family fun is right down the street! This is a great place to stay with your family for a fun weekend or friends after you head to all of the amazing wineries nearby (~20 minutes away). We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We've been here several times. What one can expect: (1) semi-comfortable rooms with a REALLY noisy HVAC system (hope you don't value SLEEP!), (2) mediocre desk staff -- not very helpful, (3) a decent restaurant for breakfast. We stay here about once/year when we do our annual "vineyard crawl." Otherwise, we avoid the place.

Yelp
Great place to stay. Wasn't overly expensive. The wine tours was a blast. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Yelp
Far overpriced for the experience. Rooms are mediocre. Restaurant menus are very limited. Service into managed well. However, the service staff is great - although understaffed. Location and views are great. Understanding COVID-19 adds challenges, the experience is still far subpar compared to recent stays elsewhere, especially for the price paid. Not recommended.

Yelp
I've been a guest at The Lodge a few times and have been generally satisfied with my stays. The grounds are beautiful and you can't beat the views, however the rooms are a bit outdated for the price. I went in May and it was close to $300 for a Saturday. The indoor and outdoor pool are nice and there's a playground for the kids. I've never stayed at the cottages but they seem to be the best bargain if you're going with a group of people. It's technically walking distance to the strip, but it's a good 10-15 minute trip depending on where you're going. I stayed at the Lodge as part of the wine country tour, which picks up and drops off right at the hotel. You don't have many other hotel options in the area, so I'd recommend this over any of the other places I've seen. If you can, go on a Friday night when the rates are lower.

Amanda B.

Yelp
We had a group doing the wine tour for a birthday. When we got back to the hotel we had plans to eat dinner and grab drinks at the bar in the hotel until close. The entire point of a wine tour and staying at the hotel is not to worry about driving anywhere and being able to stay safe while having some drinks. Sadly one of our group members was denied a beer at the bar and cut off immediately upon entering the bar. He had done nothing to show he was intoxicated and shouldn't be allowed to consume alcohol. We were told that he stumbled coming into the hotel from the bus and had slurred his speech. In long conversations with him, I never observed anything like this. He had his child and wife with him for dinner, so it was very embarrassing for him in front of his child, especially when there were several people there far more intoxicated than him still being served. I understand needing to make sure people don't overindulge, but a place that advertises drink and come stay here, should at least have valid reasons for cutting someone off. I also found it funny that we all went to the hot tub when he was kicked out which is highly dangerous for someone who they deemed was clearly intoxicated and they had no issues with that as they saw us all in suits going there. That was a lot of money spent from all of us to have our evening ruined by awkwardness and one member not being allowed to continue in the fun of the evening. I know that we weren't the only ones with someone in our large party cut off so keep that in mind when deciding if it is worth it to pay all this money to drink responsibly and then be prevented from even doing that. Also, we are all in our 40's plus so this was not a bunch of young people going out and getting trashed.

Yelp
The rooms are typical hotel rooms and nice. There is a heated indoor pool and the outdoor pool is not heated. It would be nice if it was heated with the breeze off the lake. The indoor pool could use a cleaning around the edge since people have written their names in the dirt. They took forever to clean our room after two requests. The lodge is overpriced with a weekend costing over $600. There are bikes to ride for free, which the teenagers enjoyed. The restaurant is ok,and overpriced. We had the cheese tray $14 and a veggie flatbread. Cocktails on the menu are about $10, but taste good. I had a gin, raspberry drink. I enjoyed walking down to the lake even though there is no lake access.

Yelp
Short stay--paid for by another group (so I cannot comment on the price/value). Rooms were nice. Cottages were nice. Catered food was good. View of the lake and the grounds were great for bicycles, running, and walking. Enjoyed the stay.

Yelp
Just a very fair experience. I was expecting much much more for the price of the room. I thought everything appeared dated. Air conditioning system was from the 70's and loud. Linens very cheap... wished I had picked a different property. I was expecting a experience which lacked luster. Also several of us were waiting for check in about8pm and desk staff were gone.... obviously out on a smoke break upon their return 10 min later.

Yelp
Beautiful location but less than ideal customer service and cleanliness. Beware if coming summer 2021, lots of loud construction that doesn't make for a relaxing time. Restaurant is subpar. Lovely landscaping and fire pit.

Yelp
It was ok. Stayed for two nights. There were 2 human head hairs on my bed. but at least they were head hairs. The pillows were super uncomfortable. Bed was decent. Very quiet. Overall the room looked clean. Has plugs on the nightstand to charge your devices. Nice lake view. Our bathroom fan didn't work. The restaurant had buffet breakfast only. It was just ok. I agree parking is limited. I felt they could have sanitizing stations by the elevators. They could improve by housekeeping accountability. Removing the tape off the floors by the furniture in the lobby, new pillows, and elevator sanitizing stations.

Yelp
Shout out to Don on our wine shuttle today! He was absolutely incredible with information and answering any questions we had. We had a large group and he was so friendly . We truly would return or recommend their wine tour based off our experience with the driver! Definitely worth the price they offer to get into 3 separate wineries

Yelp
This is our 2nd year that we have stayed here during the winter. We come with my husband for a business trip. This year was much better. They had the restaurant open for breakfast, unlike last year where is was just continental. The breakfast buffet this year was very good. They make eggs(anyway you like), pancakes (with fruit or nuts, small or large) and waffles at your request. The cook made my daughter pancakes with fresh strawberries and scrambled eggs and I have never seen my daughter eat so well. We traveled with my 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son and they love it. They have a fireplace in main lobby and they love the indoor pool area. It is pretty deserted in the wintertime so my kids kind of had free rain of the place. My only complaint really is the fact that this is a family lodge and I wish they had Nick/Nick Jr., Disney, and/or Sprout on the TV or at least DVD players in the room. I also feel that they are a little over priced. For a bottle of water is was $4. We are looking forward to trying this Lodge and town out this summer.

Yelp
I love The Lodge at Geneva on the Lake. My third stay was for my birthday and it was so fun. The Lodge offers wine shuttles which takes you to a number of local wineries and of course my group elected to take the shuttle. A word of advice... When making your room reservation be sure to reserve your seat on the wine shuttle. It is a popular feature for the hotel and seats fill up quickly. Anywho... The Lodge also has a full bar and resturant. Check out the Lodge if you need a weekend getaway.

Yelp
This was my first visit to GOTL. Stayed in a cottage which was absolutely beautiful! It was new, clean, and provided wonderful views of the lake. Only recommendation is to remember to bring a cooler for ice. Had to run out and find one but that is my learning. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick getaway!

Yelp
My Mother and I arrived on a Saturday afternoon for a Sunday wedding. We stayed til Monday. Our hotel room was clean but a little dated. That's the charm of this place. Right on Lake Erie. We had a beautiful weekend for the wedding. Wedding took place on Sunday around 4 at the gazebo. Cocktail hour was held right after in the Lake Erie Banquet room. The food was fabulous and the servers were great. Dinner was served promptly at 630. The hotel catered every meal; from the cocktail hour with fried ravioli, potstickers and meatballs. Fresh fruit, cheese and cracker bar were available the entire evening. Dinner was filet mignon and chicken breast with veggies and roasted potatoes. All of the servers, bartenders were employees of the hotel. And they did a fantastic job. Any request were met with a yes, I can get that for you or I'll do my best. We had late night pizza which was very good. We had the breakfast buffet the next morning with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, fresh fruit, pastries with coffee and orange juice. The few from the patio is beautiful. I took a walk everyday by the lake. The view was breathtaking. My Mom and I hated to leave. I did check out the pool situation. Indoor and outdoor. Both were extremely busy. Didn't use the facilities but the indoor pool water was very warm. The resort charges $9 for a resort fee per day. The fee allows you unlimited access to the bicycles and pools. Since we didn't use any of the these I asked for the $9 per day refunded. No problem. I was given a $18 adjustment on my bill. Let me conclude with this: my first night at the hotel was the best night of sleep ever!! I didn't check to see what brand the mattress was but I will call and find out. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for a wedding. We wouldn't have normally have stayed at this location but because we were there for a special date and there's a lack of great hotels in the area we were happy. Our stay there lasted two nights. I didn't love the check in process. I thought the little teenager behind the counter was sassy and passive aggressive. We asked for a MOD and he was like what? Your manager on duty please. He replied saying there was no manager on duty. Really? After 10 minutes of banter and me asking for her number at home a man with a suit popped out of a side door. He solved our issue right away and we happily checked into our room. The view is beautiful. We had a first floor room with a nice water and greenery view. There's an indoor and outdoor pool. Bikes! You can ride around the lake and into town and the local marina. Rider beware the town is very pedestrian and no healthy food at all offered. We actually drove 20 minutes out of town to get good italian food. The venue has a restaurant but we didn't eat here except for the wedding food and the breakfast provided by the wedding party. Great place for a wedding. All in all we had a good time. The venue is an average resort with pretty flowers and lake view in the summer. If we had more time we would have rented wave runners to go out on the lake.

Yelp
I personally don't find this hotel to be worth the price. I think the only reason they can charge high for rooms is that you can see the lake. One of the only redeeming qualities of this place. Booked 5 nights for Thanksgiving and my family choose this one for me. It's listed as a nicer hotel. I don't get it. It seemed relatively similar to staying at a Holiday Inn. We checked in Wednesday night. We were tired from flying all day and just wanted to check into our room. For some reason, they had two people behind the desk but only one person checking people in. Looked like maybe someone could've been training if that's the case terrible time to do it. It took us forever to get checked in since there was quite the line in front of us. Got to our room and noticed it was "picked up" but not really "clean". I noticed our tub was disgusting and have buildup on it. The corners of our bathroom are filled with dirt and dust. Makes me think they only skim the surface of cleaning but don't actually clean it that well. The hotel food also isn't fantastic and definitely not worth the price. Overall I would say the view of the lake is pretty but I would never be willing to stay here again. I feel like I got scammed on the price for what I got and the service received. The rooms are pretty basic.

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere, location and service. Within walking distance of both GOTL Boardwalk/Strip and Geneva State Park (check out the gorgeous beach) there is nothing not to love. We had a Family room - two double beds, a bunk bed, micro/mini-fridge, desk and small table area. No balcony but a great lake/pool view. Bathroom was handicapped accessible and very spacious. Perks include Bath & Body Works brand soap and hair products and a Keurig coffee maker and complimentary coffee and tea assortment. Spotless and well serviced daily with loads of big fluffy towels. I'm not a fan of poly-blend bedspreads but in a hotel this clean I can deal. The outdoor pool/hot tub area is fantastic and well designed so adults enjoying the hot tub are not on top of small children enjoying the sprinkler area (check out the big ring - even some adults couldn't resist it). Great changing/shower facility adjacent to pools as well. Ample lounge chairs, shaded patio tables and a poolside bar/snack area are a nice bonus. Across the yard are benches with a stunning view of Lake Erie (catch a sunset). There are a set of benches with a fire pit/grill in the center. We didn't indulge in a campfire but it seems that option is available and would certainly be a fun experience. (Check with Hotel Staff first, I'm thinking "but some chick on Yelp said ..." will not be good enough if I'm wrong here). Hotel staff was helpful, professional and kind. When not enough hotel rental bikes were available for our party of six, the front desk Associate did not hesitate to quickly recommend "Adventure Zone" down the street - much appreciated to keep our days plans on track. The hotel is directly on a wonderful paved bike/walking path that winds around the State Park. We saw a variety of bicyclists, scooters, walkers and golf-carts (Adventure Zone again) enjoying the paths. Did not visit the hotel restaurant so cannot comment on that.
