Excellent stay. Every employee we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. Larry and Kevin were right there as soon as you needed them. We were impressed for sure. The grounds and rooms were very clean. Large rooms with private pool, king size bed and huge shower. Food and drinks at the restaurants were great as well. Can recommend, will return

As a girlie who loves to staycation in her own country, I felt compelled to write a review for our experience at the Jaguar Reef Lodge because it did stand out. We came for a little girls weekend getaway and it was everything we needed and more! There are some people who really stood out to us: Julio at the concierge who had such welcoming energy and attentiveness throughout our entire stay, Andy our waiter: excellent service everyday, and Marvin at the Dock Bar with his award winning cocktails made us feel so special and has become a great new friend, we had planned on venturing out but we ended up enjoying our time here so much we found no need. And the room was stunning! We appreciated all the locally sourced detailing and of course our heated plunge pool. Just like every other resort in The Belize Collection, beautiful attention to detail and exceptional service, I couldn’t have felt more cared for and we can't wait to be back and recommend to our friends, family and clients.

We did not stay at the lodge but walked the grounds on our way to the Dock Bar. It was very well kept and clean. It was also a very unique and relaxing vibe as we meandered through. What beautiful property. Edgar, the bartender was so attentive and personable, we went back 3 times during our 7 day stay! We will definitely stay at this property if we visit Hopkins Bay again, which is very likely as it is a wonderful community of lovely and friendly locals.

Our stay at The Jaguar Reef in Hopkins, Belize was nothing short of amazing. The resort itself is beautiful, with comfortable accommodations and a peaceful beachfront vibe, but what really made our trip unforgettable was the Big Dock Bar and the incredible service from the bartender, Lucas.||Every day, my friends and I made our way out to the bar, and Lucas was always there with a smile, ready to greet us. His energy and friendliness were unmatched – he made the atmosphere feel fun and welcoming. It was impressive how he knew so many of our friends by name and remembered our usual drinks. It felt like we were hanging out with an old friend each day rather than just being guests.||The Big Dock Bar quickly became one of our favorite hangout spots. The views are stunning, the drinks were always cold and delicious, and the vibe was just right. If you’re visiting Hopkins, don’t miss this place – and definitely say hi to Lucas. He made our trip truly memorable, and we’ll definitely be back!

Rooms are okay, although the AC unit wasn’t functioning well. Cleanliness is good. Drinks at the three bars are good. Staff is friendly. Location is a challenge unless you’re willing to rent golf carts for $35 USD for two hours so you can go to the village. Transfer from and to airport are a challenge. Do keep in mind that the hotel is 2,5 hours away from the airport and everything in Belize is a distance away. The hotel offers shared shuttle, but it’s expensive. On the way back to the airport we just hired a private driver. Meals were mediocre (and overpriced) to say the least. No options if you want a snack or something not offered by the Paddle House (main restaurant). Beach is nice, the big dock is nice, the pools are nice. Highlight of the hotel? Captain Larry, the sweetest and friendliest person you’ll find in Belize. I’d say the hotel is good with a few footnotes.

The entire staff was very attentive and accommodating to all of our needs. Highly recommend! Captain Larry went over-and-above not only daily to greet my family with his infectious smile, but also shared his suggestions for things to do while near the property. Additionally, Captain Larry ensured we had new beautiful flowers not only in the foot bath daily, but also behind the ears of my wife and children. You will absolutely love all aspects of this property!

Beautiful property! Very well maintained grounds. Gorgeous dock with cocktail bar and ceviche bar. Staff was very friendly. 2 bedroom villa with a plunge pool was worth the splurge! Great free amenities like a pool, cabanas, paddle boards, kayaks, bicycles, rope swing, and tubes. Hotel is upscale and definitely all the comforts of home. Make sure to leave the property to explore the island, its people, and culture as the hotel is insulated from that.

The resort is beautiful and welcoming from the moment you arrive. Walking through the entrance, we were greeted with beautiful Caribbean music and a gentle ocean breeze. The grounds are beautifully kept, with native flowers and palm trees throughout the property. The real gem of the resort, though, is the staff. From the guided tour with Julio to my daily conversations with Larry, they are truly the reason it's hard to leave.
