The Lodge Motel, Newman (Prev. Seasons Hotel Newman)

This motel has improved over the years. My room definitely had a recent makeover. Good central location. If you want a quiet rest with good food facilities on site, I do recommend this place. Buffet Breakfast was great. A lot of FIFOs stay here, as Newman is all about mining, but I’ve always found them fairly quiet and respectful. Security gates add to overall safety.

Rooms are old but clean and functional. Great shower pressure. Fabulous, helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast choices, including freshly made omelette. Enjoyed a few meals at the restaurant also.

Ordered the Sirloin with Creamy Garlic Prawns. Prawns were almost raw. Steak was cooked nicely with good flavour but was full of gristle and very chewy.

Used to be Seasons which we have stayed a few times in the past ten years. The management changed to the lodge hotel two years ago and the facilities services and all seemed to remain as good as before and the whole place is now fenced with card activated gates.

Room was clean and a good size. The blinds let in too much light at night and I like t sleep in total darkness.

Staff are fantastic, and food at the steak house has been fantastic

Great to see all the new upgrades following the change of ownership. Nice big rooms, new linen and food service / quality is excellent. The concrete floors and brick walls provide great sound proofing.

Good sleep. 10 min walk to shops & super market. Rooms are spread out. Friendly reception staff. Air conditioned with shutters on windows. Nice country club feel. Didn't come in summer so don't know how hot it can be. Had a really healthy low fat rib eye steak for dinner. Lean & healthy.

Great staff working under busy conditions. Richard the manager was not great but the rest of the staff were very pleasant and the rooms are clean and tidy, although basic and old. Breakfast is good and the restaurant has enough to keep you eating there. Expensive, limited and because its the only place in town its also the best.

This hotel set on Newman drive is one of the only hotels/motels in Newman. The hotel is a tad bit old but is comfortable and fairly clean. In the evening we sat at the bar and had a drink then the power went out! The staff put a candle in front of us for light and provide updates on what was happening which was good. We had dinner booked at 7:30 and as the lights were out we were contemplating what to do and where to eat as there is not too many places to dine in Newman. The staff offered us another drink but we declined as was quite hungry at this point. After awhile the lights hadn't turned on on and the staff advised that they can make us something from the grill with salad. We both chose the scotch fillet and was shown to a table lit by candle. Richard the manager after awhile came to us and advised some good news that they can serve the steak with chips! Which was awesome! When the food came out I inhaled it down as was quite hungry at this point. The steak was cooked to my liking and the mushroom sauce was great and I used it to to dip my chips yum yum! The salad was nice with a tasty dressing. All up the meal was nice and we enjoyed the candlelit dining lol! The staff were apologetic about the power and handled the situation well. Richard offered to walk us to our room as it was pitch black outside, we declined and went out but ended up arriving back at the restaurant as we couldn't find our room haha! The electricity was out so we had no lights or aircon but slept really well. We had complimentary breakfast the next day and went in at 8:30 to be told that breakfast was done at that time, we still sat and ate what was left. The staff member that served is was not as friendly as the night before but this was ok. There's not too many places to stay in Newman, this hotel was clean, comfortable and A-OK.

A nice restaurant with a good menu. Had a great scotch fillet and a tasty apple pie. The service was pretty good for Newman and will be back
