We stayed for a date night and had a mixed experience. Our first room (#1917) was okay, but the tub was incredibly loud, making it far from relaxing. Then, around 9 PM, a significant leak from the ceiling started pouring water into the bathroom, forcing us to change rooms.
The hotel staff handled the situation promptly and professionally, which we greatly appreciated. We were moved to a comparable room on the floor above (#2012), which had a great view. However, the entire floor had a strong marijuana smell throughout our stay, which was disappointing for a hotel of this caliber.
While I expected more from the accommodations, the staff’s efficiency and friendliness stood out in a positive way. The location is excellent, with easy access to downtown amenities, specifically Target Center/Target Field and the skyway. Valet parking is available for a fee, and breakfast is delicious but also an additional charge but a bit of a language barrier with our server resulting in wrong food being ordered. The bed & bedding were comfortable and clean. Ran out of hot water for my shower/bath at 730am.
Overall, a convenient stay with excellent service, but the quality of the rooms and overall environment could be improved.
