The Lofton Hotel (Minneapolis, Minnesota) 6 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"These days it’s a member of a medium-sized luxury-hotel brand, but the Lofton Hotel has independent roots — it was built as a one-off, and thanks to its unique pedigree, it’s avoided many of the missteps common to corporate boutique hotel ventures. In this case, that means it offers the kind of inspired, authentic contemporary luxury that’s hard to get right: design that’s stylish without being trendy, and the sort of atmosphere where a 42-inch plasma screen feels smart and functional rather than needlessly ostentatious." - Tablet Hotels

What a great stay! I have been wanting to write this review for over a year (September 2024)! The staff were friendly, accommodating and went the extra mile. The check in /out and lobby staff were courteous and always helpful. Manager Jim Waldvogel went above and beyond, his staff displayed team work and all the employees, including housekeeping, restaurant, front desk, everyone epitomized customer service and made us feel at home. I believe Azia was the rock star at the front desk who was exceptional for us, but all were great. Wish I had everyone's names to share! The partnership with the health club we had access to, walking across the bridge, was outstanding, amongst the best we ever have seen! This opportunity sealed the deal for us to come back, and we will definitely return to visit having access to the club. Also we enjoyed walking across the bridge to attend the Lynx basketball game. What a treat to have access to both of these facilities. Great location. My husband had a medical emergency, he is well now, but at the time we were extremely concerned and scared. Jim personally contacted us to ensure all was well. During the emergency the employees ensured we had a wheelchair and assisted us to get the transport to the hospital. It was amazing and we are grateful for everything. The Lofton knocked it out of the park, great stay, and we will be back!

I stayed in this hotel for two nights while on business in Minneapolis. The location is great as it is in the center of downtown next to the Target Center. The staff is also very friendly and I had no issues checking in or eating at the local restaurant. The room was clean and the furniture was not worn. The bed was very soft and the sheets were clean. Bathroom was also fairly new with no mold or stains. Hot water was plentiful and pressure was good. I definitely would stay here again.

Great location when visiting for a Twins/Wolves game. Easy 5 minute walk back to the room after those events. They also generously provided a complimentary upgrade to a room with a better view the night we stayed since they hadn't sold out, even though we were not loyalty members and did not book with them (both excuses I've heard other hotels claim often for why they can't upgrade, even on slow nights).

What a great location for any downtown activities. We went to a comedy show at Pantages Theater in Minneapolis and it was literally a block or so away! The staff was great and check in was breeze. The room was spacious and clean and very comfortable. Would recommend this Hotel for sure and looking forward to going back for another stay!

I had a corner king room which was lovely, great view. Rooms are not sound proof at all, could hear sirens going off outside all night and the ice machine outside the room was also very loud. There was only free water and a coffee (pod) machine. For the price I would have imagined a few more free touches like chocolates or real milk. Staff were very friendly. Location is great for downtown and the tram.

Really liked this hotel! Staff was fantastic! Room was great! Found the pillows on the soft side but I think that’s typical for most hotels. Mattress was comfortable though. ||Only issue was that we couldn’t access the baseball game on the TV in the room. Adam from maintenance came up to try to fix but said it’s a known issue with access from the rooms - can only access the station in the hotel bars. Hopefully this gets resolved and isn’t any issue with the other sports.||Glad I read the reviews about parking in advance - choose the Mayo Clinic Square Parking on 7th Street. Pay in advance with SpotHero. We initially then walked around the block to enter the hotel but then the staff told us how to access without going outside.

The only 2 downsides we had of the room as a family of 6, was that even though the shower was amazing with the 3 different settings, it was hard to figure out. And with all the devices we have, there wasn't enough outlets by the bed area. The one on the lamp was too big for a charging block. Otherwise, it was a nice room, with a nice view.

Wonderful stay. Right next to Target Center and a few blocks from Twins stadium. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Now a Hilton property. Rooms are tired and need a refresh. GM was kind to reply letting us know updates are coming soon. The entire staff were top notch, responsive and very helpful. Recommend staying at The Lofton.

Yelp
Very enjoyable place to stay in downtown Minneapolis! Outstanding: Bed was sooo comfy and the multi head showers were amazing! My only suggestion for improvement is to better recognize Hilton Honors Diamond members. Rooms were updated, well maintained, quiet and clean! Location is arguably unbeatable being so close to Target Center, Target Field, metro line, and other things to do downtown.

Yelp
Valet parking is super, super expensive, if you don't want to walk a couple blocks for cheaper parking. We were told $54+tax for the night. So far we haven't gotten an itemized bill yet but it says "$125".... We were told with our Diamond status, we get $15 comp for breakfast per person. So since there were two of us, it was $30. We spent $50 ish at breakfast and thinking 50-30=$20, but instead it looks like from credit card they charged us the entire 50 instead of taking off the comp. Room is very nice. We got the corner room King. Shower is very nice. Soap smells really good. At breakfast we got the pancakes with blueberries, and egg white breakfast sandwich. With OJ and coffee. Though we were given refills on both, the OJ seemed expensive. $8 for it and it tasted like it came out of a fountain vs I would assume a fancy place would have fresh squeezed for $8.

Yelp
Convenient hotel located across from target center. Nice, spacious rooms and the bar on 4th floor is lovely. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Connected to Kiernans pub which is a great place to grab a drink or food!

Yelp
I had an amazing experience at the lower level bar . my bartender Malinda was the sweetest! she was very attentive and made the smoothest drink . She always remembered my drink from start to finish. Beautiful atmosphere after a Lynx win
