I went here for a birthday dinner and was definitely expecting something amazing after hearing it was the best steak in Cincinnati. The ambiance is nice, dim lit but a very small dining space and you can see almost every table from where you are. The service is good but not too fancy if that makes sense. The smoky jalapeño dip was incredible. Do not waist $20 on the butter board though. The steak was good but not the best I’ve had. Just okay in all. There is almost no other protein than steak on the menu (no chicken) and they do have fish but there is very wacky additions to it that don’t fit their vibe for sure

I've been looking forward to eating here for more than a year. Upon entering, was greeted with a mid-century vibe and an offer of a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Classy. We were well attended to by friendly wait staff in a small dining space that was intimate but noisy mostly due to the small bar. The Lavender Bees Knees was a delicious and refreshing drink off their creative cocktail menu. Ordered the oysters and bone marrow starters. Like another reviewer noted, the oysters had too much Panko. More notably, the bone marrow was a bit too gelatinous for my taste. For the main, the butcher's cut was ordered medium rare with an onion and mushroom side. While I understand the cut was marbled for flavor, it was simply too fatty to enjoy each bite. Sourced within 200 miles or not, for a restaurant that prides itself on steak, this was most unfortunate. While the side dish was tasty it could have done with a bit less oil. Dessert was creme brulee served with a latte-like coffee. Overall, this restaurant has a great location, ambiance, presentation, staff, and drinks menu. But, for the price ($250 for two) at least on this night, the food itself didn't live up to the reputation Lonely Pine is known for.

This place is amazing. The food is fantastic we went here for our anniversary and had a great time. It was my first time trying bone marrow and it was really yummy. We ordered the cowboy ribeye as the main course to split and it was cooked to perfection. The fingerling potatoes were also excellent, and the smoked Gouda Mac was a little bit strong for me personally but also very good. My favorite thing had to be the smore dessert which is made to look like a little campfire. I would literally go back just for that. They also offered mocktails for those who don't drink which is awesome. Definitely check out their lavender lemonade. This atmosphere is cozy and very welcoming and all the staff were super pleasant and knowledgeable. We will definitely be returning. Excellent experience.

Exceptional service and incredibly high-quality food for very fair prices. I had a wonderful dinner here and especially enjoyed the bone marrow, cowboy ribeye, and crème brûlée. The service was personable, prompt, and overall enjoyable.

Food - they're tasty, but pricey. I had better steak with cheaper price. But overall was good. Service - it was very good. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable. Atmosphere-it had good music, not too loud so we could talk without yelling

My new favorite go to!! I’ve been here about 3 or 4 times so I feel confident in my 5 star rating. Range of steaks for any consumer and the drinks are always so fabulous. The staff is always so friendly and happy and they have such a good team. They will sell out of certain menu items by the end of the night so make sure you get your reservation!

Went for a date night/celebration, and WOW, that food is *amazing.* The butcher’s cut I got was to die for. Every bite was heavenly. The seasonal squash—unique and delicious. The onions and mushrooms? These aren’t just portobellos, these are varieties of mushrooms. And the desserts? Just perfection. Cannot recommend more highly! The chef is doing an amazing job curating a creative and mouthwatering menu. Love the vibe there too. I will definitely be going back

Loved this restaurant! My husband and I had the filet and it was so good! Go for the bigger size! Cocktails were delicious! Can't complain it was all delicous!

Definitely have become a regular at the Lonely Pine. Found in a strip mall, this small, unassuming restaurant packs a huge punch overall. The atmosphere is relatively darker and captures, mildly, and older feel. There previously was a butchers fridge putting meats on showcase. Last time we went was to celebrate our anniversary. We ended up sitting at the bar. The chairs remained comfortable and with backs, so no issues. Full menu service. Our wait staff was very kind and on top of it. Doubled up as timely in getting our drinks given we were at the bar. Admittedly in our last visit my wife and I felt we were served food that was if not already, nearly spoiled. Specifically our onions and mushrooms tasted a little funny, to put it politely. The steak tender, juicy, flavorful per usual. Of course we will come back for more, however, additional questions of food quality will certainly make us back off in the future.

I give this quaint little place an A plus for effort. I love that they greet you with a glass of champagne. The menu is a little pricey so good for a special night out.

The service is great, everyone is so friendly and kind. I think it's such a cute little space, intimate and cozy. For quite a while, we were going twice a month or more when they had the tequila lime oysters. I bought my bestie, my cousin who then bought her bestie. Now, the oysters are totally underwhelming. We tried twice since the change. Once was a ragoon kind and the next version I don't remember. We have not been back. We miss it.

I visited Lonely Pine in combination with the Christmas pop-up next door. They have the same owner, and I'll tell you the entire experience from start to finish was stellar! Upon walking in, we were greeted with a champagne toast and led to our table. The service was amazing, attentive, and very friendly. The food was very delicious. I got the broccolini as an appetizer and the filet mignon, macaroni, and fingerling potatoes for my entree. The steak was prepared perfectly, and the macaroni was literally some of the best restaurant macaroni I tasted! It was really hard not to order a second order! I finished my meal with the tres leche cake which was also good. I do wish it were a little sweeter, though. Overall, without the pop-up next door, I wouldn't have known this place existed, but now that I do, I'll certainly seek it out again!

We visited Lonely Pine for my birthday dinner and I'm so glad we did! Upon entering, we were offered a small glass of champagne, which really set the mood. The restaurant itself is a little dark and moody, and decorated nicely with mid-century vibes. The old fashioneds were perfect, and the pimento cheese appetizer was delicious. I had the petite waygu 8 oz; it was tender and cooked perfectly. I ended up taking half home though because I was so full from all the sides. I did the asparagus and zucchini veggies sides; the asparagus was amazing but the zucchini was just okay. We also did the crispy potatoes and Gouda Mac and cheese for the table. The potatoes had a great flavor but were maybe just a little overcooked for my taste. The Mac and cheese was excellent.

My best friend took me here for my birthday. Two things made me smile as soon as I walked in - seeing my friend and being offered a small glass of champagne. They were also having happy hour which included $1 martinis! The service was wonderful - everyone was friendly and helpful without hovering. I was surprised that they had bone marrow as most places don't. I'm a somewhat adventurous foodie, so I tried it along with my friend who had it before. The food was delicious! Ironically, our ribeye cap steak was underdone to both of our likings. I didn't want to say anything because it was her treat,. Finally, we admitted it to each other. I'm sure that had we said something, they would have accommodated us. I plan to go back so that definitely says something about this restaurant.

This was always one of my favorite steak places. From the quaintness, the welcome Prosecco & the great service and food- I always advocate to go here. It had been at least 6 months since we've gone. I brought a new group of friends to Lonely Pine & was thoroughly disappointment, everything seemed different. All the steaks were undercooked, the butter toppings were just melted cups instead of whipped goodness & salads were very mediocre & the oysters tasted..off. This was such a disappointment & an expensive one at that :/ I hope to see a change in the quality- it used to be the best!

I wanted to like it so much more than I did! It's a nice warm space, feels intimate - great for a special occasion or date night. Appreciated the glass of champagne while we waited for our table. Our server was very friendly and helpful. So here's the down sides. Our server warned us that they do things more on the rare side. I said I'd like medium rare, and as long as it was medium rare that was ok. The filet came out black and blue, extremely rare. It was cool in the middle and chewy as a result. Also, I thought it was odd that my 8oz filet was pre-sliced. Let me cut into and enjoy my own steak. It was still tasty, especially with the side of onions and mushrooms and Mac n cheese. Or maybe it was the champagne and cocktails that made me too hungry to care. Cook temps on steaks are not subjective theories subject to interpretation by the chef. Medium is medium, rare is rare - it's quantifiable. I don't understand why a chef would feel the need to replace a customer's request and preferences with their own. Almost like they think they know better. I was hoping for that beautiful melt in your mouth medium rare, and that's definitely not what I got. The scallops on special were great but they came on a bed of lukewarm grits, which was a bummer because the grits really did have great flavor! The Caesar came with excellent, fresh greens but the plate was almost half the size required which made it hard to eat without spilling bits onto the table. For the price (over $200 for 2), I think I'd rather go to another steakhouse for my next special occasion.

Had been wanting to visit here for a while and finally made it happen. Food was excellent, service was personable, casual and genuine. The smaller space is intimate but not stuffy, and it's a steakhouse that's not a major "production" like other places in town except the food is on par is not better then those mainstays. Good cocktails and desserts as well. Chef came out and spoke with us for a bit and just put the whole evening over the top. Steak was killer, and the bone marrow app has been on my mind non stop. Cannot wait to return.

They give you champagne when you walk inside. The bone marrow spread for bread is a must try appetizer. I think a server mentioned it to us once, and now we do it every time but we take a mezcal or bourbon shot out of the bone as a "shot luge". Cool spot, small venue, great staff, and small menu too because it's all locally sourced.

My best friend and I had a very nice dinner at the Lonely Pine. It was my second time here; my friends, first time. We were greeted with the complimentary bubbly, always a nice way to start :). Our server, Tina, was great! She described everything well, our waters were always filled, and she was really nice! We decided on the bone marrow app. It was a nice start to our meal. Scoop the hot marrow right out of the bone and spread it on toasted bread. Yum! We both chose the ribeye cap steak, medium rare. We shared sides of fingerling potatoes and grilled acorn squash. Both the sides were done perfectly and were nice compliments to our protein. We were a bit surprised that the steaks were very lean. Also, they were very rare in the middle so they were very chewy. We should have said something, so that is on us. For a steak restaurant we were surprised at this. However, overall it was a good meal. Especially since there was a happy hour with $1 mini-martinis. Delicious!

Lonely Pine is not a classic steakhouse experience. You won't have a huge selection of wine or an endless list of non-steak entrees for the diners who didn't actually want to go to a steakhouse. And while the setting is intimate and thoughtful, I would hardly call it fancy. Biz caz will serve you just fine here, if not be slightly overdressed depending on the clientele that night. Instead, going to the Lonely Pine feels a little like going to your fancy friend's house, the one who knows good food and drink but has maybe forgotten a bit how other people eat and drink. And as long as you're along for the ride, that is totally fine. The bar is select, with carefully crafted signature cocktails. The wine list is short. The menu overall is curated, carefully considered, and not very large. But all of this adds up to a dinner experience that feels special and unique. Our evening began with a glass of complementary bubbles at reception. (Well, actually, back up to us walking in five minutes late because we circled the block twice looking for parking. Here's one area where, say, a Jeff Ruby has this place beat: valet parking.) Anyway, free sparkling wine, won't complain about that. We were led to a table near the back of this cozy, not very large restaurant. The noise level was average, and the interior comfortably dim--not glaring by any means, but certainly not dark. The chairs were immensely comfortable. After a quick glance through the drinks menu we ordered cocktails: the Spanish G&T for me (a festive gin and tonic garnished with pink peppercorns and a whole sprig of rosemary) and the Belle Star for my husband (a sour tequila based drink that I liked less than the SGT). As we waited for our starter, the server dropped off a little plate of snacks from the kitchen: two kinds of pickled veggies and house-cured bacon. The plate was...strangely large for the amount of food, but a delicious amuse bouche. The bone marrow appetizer was perfection. Three large roasted bones, served hot, over a pool of pepper jelly (more like a coulis really) with a stack of rye toast. One of the best bone marrow presentations I've had. We ordered the Caesar and garden salads as well, both of which were huge--we could have split one. For entrees, I had the petite tender filet and my husband had a smaller version of the cowboy ribeye that was on special that night. The steaks were very different (you could definitely taste the effect of the dry age in the ribeye) but both cooked to a perfect medium. The broccoli dish on the side was really well done, not an oversight at all with a tasty CinSoy miso sauce and Urban Stead cheese over top. (Love how many other local businesses are represented on the menu!) For dessert, we split the Mexican chocolate creme brulee, which featured a chocolate custard lightly spiced with cinnamon and just a hint of cayenne. I've had other Mexican chocolate desserts that want to slap you in the face with the heat, and this was not that at all. The lime-y gingersnap on the side was perfect. All told, I think the limited menu speaks to the care that has gone into each dish. Nothing we ate felt like an obligatory menu inclusion. Nothing felt run-of-the-mill. Each course and item felt special in its own way and relentlessly intentional, which I love. I wouldn't take a picky person here, or someone looking for a classic steakhouse experience. But for the slightly adventurous eater willing to trust a bit of their experience to the kitchen, I absolutely recommend it.

A well run experience with a single fault. This the second time for me here. Brought a friend because the first experience was darn near perfect. Service was great, oyster were tasty with the addition of craft breads. Tried the Bone marrow and was pleased with the new flavor. The photo of the filet is from my first visit.. perfect temperature for me (rare). This time around the filet was over cooked (mid rare) not rare. I did not send it back but was less than enthused. Everything else was perfect.

This is not my first time here, or my last! The staff is always amazing, and you get a welcome glass of sparkling wine. Nestled in Pleasant ridge, and in my top 3 steak houses in Cincinnati. Do not come with out areservation because you'll be left outside. I added pics for you to drool over!

My girlfriend took my for my birthday, as I am from Cleveland. On top of tremendous service, the food was hands down the best steaks we've ever eaten, we both agree. The bone marrow was like butter and the fingerling potatoes were fantastic. 10 stars if I could. We'll be back every time we come to Cinci. The bar next door is incredibly cool too and from what I understand it's the same owner. He/She is a genius, both places kick ass.

Lonely Pine is great- it's a more casual steakhouse so the vibes are very homey! I love the happy hour specials and my friends really enjoyed their oysters. Steaks are good. My fiancé is convinced the Cowboy Ribeye is basically the best steak in Cincinnati and recommends everyone either tackle it alone or share with their partner!

I really went back-and-forth on that rating between a 3 & 4, but settled on a 3 based on my other reviews. Probably more of a 3.5. I visited The Lonely Pine with a few friends for a 40th birthday party. My friend made reservations ahead of time and we were immediately seated when we walked in. The restaurant is somewhat small, so I would strongly recommend making a reservations further out than you might otherwise think. When we were seated, we were also asked if we would like some champagne. I loved this touch and really thought the rest of the evening would be a "5." The food was good, but nothing that really impressed all of us. The service was a "2" and it took the food an incredibly long time to come out. Our group decided on The Lonely Pine due to its proximity to where we were staying for an AirBnB. We live in Cincinnati, so I think I'll make reservations elsewhere for dinner celebrations and steakhouse dinners.

Went with some friends to celebrate a birthday. Waiters were nice and checked on us often. Food for 8 people took over an hour to come out. I ordered the bone in strip cooked medium. When my strip came out it was beyond rare. I'm not much of a complainer so even if more medium rare I'll usually eat it. So I sent the steak back and asked for it to be cooked more. The steak came back out 5 mins later and was still rare (picture below). At that point I was just gonna concede and eat rare for the night but my girlfriend made me send it back (picture below). The manager when taking it back tried to explain to me that since it's dry aged their medium is different. I've work in the food industry and this isn't my 1st fine dining. Medium is medium. It's a hot pink center not full blown red. The steak came and it was finally good enough to eat. The macaroni and Caesar salad were average. No effort to comp anything from the bill. All and all it was subpar dining experience for $120. Would recommend eating at Ruby's, Walt's hitching post, 3rd & main, or even Texas Road house for a steak. Gave 2 stars because staff were extremely nice. But will not be coming back.

While a reservation is not required it is highly encouraged! Table service here is top notch you will be well taken care of by an attentive and knowledgeable staff member. Steaks are great and don't miss out on the oysters! If you come early enough for happy hour there is $1 martinis!

Absolutely delicious! This little hidden gem in Pleasant Ridge is so cute! We devoured everything we got. Both my husband and I got the 8 oz petite tender steak with sides of Gouda Mac & cheese (amazing), roasted squash, mushrooms & onions, and fingerling potatoes. This was our first time but definitely not our last. We will be back!

This is probably the best quality and most affordable steakhouse in Cincinnati. You really just cannot beat the prices, and the food is fantastic. The sparkling wine when you arrive is a beautiful touch and made the night feel very *fancy*. We got the bone marrow to start which came highly recommended and we really enjoyed. I got the small filet and my date got the larger, which was the perfect size for both of us. I got some herbed butter for my steak but it was so perfectly tender and seasoned I didn't even use it. The gouda mac and cheese and asparagus was also delicious, and we had enough for leftovers. The only thing that left to be desired was service, which while very friendly it was clear the servers had friends/other employees at the bar they were talking with so we sat for a while without drinks a few times. That is really the only complaint, but will definitely be back.

I was underwhelmed. It started with our first round of drinks taking 40 minutes. The service was slow throughout with us having to wave the server down several times to order. The food was good but not comparable to other top steakhouses in town. Oysters has too much sauce and mac n cheese wasn't very tasty. Wanted to love but just didn't it.

The Lonely Pin Steakhouse is a place we have been wanting to go to for sometime, then Covid happened. We were lucky to visit on day one of reopening!!!! We went for a date night celebrating each others accomplishments. Greeted at the door with complimentary champagne and then quickly to our table. The evening was great with phenomenal service and food in an unrushed atmosphere! We receive another complimentary appetizer from the chef that was so pretty and equally tasteful! We started with the bread basket and then both ordered steaks and sides. I had the petite tender that was cooked perfectly and topped with a delicious herb butter. To pair with that was fingerling potatoes and their ooey-gooey gouda packed macaroni and cheese. We were so full we didn't make it to dessert, but we'll save that for next time since we will have to come back! Such a great dining experience!

Visited on Friday night, they called 2 hours before to confirm our reservation. Upon arriving we were offered a complimentary glass of bubbly and immediately seated. Tables for 2 are small, not a lot of room for plates. I had a moscato and he had a sweet tea. We ordered the bread service which was ok, he had an 8 ounce petite tender and I had a 4 ounce. The steak is not a filet mignon but it tasted good. Definitely not as tender as a filet. We ordered the fingerling potatoes and the queso Mac. The potatoes were crispy with a good flavor. I didn't try the Mac, he said it was just ok. Very hipster/yuppie vibe which we aren't that crowd but if that's your style then I'd recommend a visit at least once. Overall, the food was ok, nothing exceptional. Not a place that we can't wait to go back to.

This was the second time my wife and I have been to The Lonely Pine. First time was 4 years ago and then this time. In short, we were underwhelmed. The food was hit or miss. The bone marrow appetizer was good, and the drinks were decent. I had an old fashioned and a dirty martini. The Oysters were disappointing, as was the Mac n cheese side. The filet was Ok. The setup of the restaurant puts you too close to other tables. The decor is still cool but it feels tight. Service was good. I wish I could say I enjoyed The Lonely Pine more but the food just wasn't good and definitely not worth the price.

Good, not great and would try again. Complimentary bubbly is a nice start. Then we ordered half dozen oysters which took a long time. And dinner took wayyyy long. 2hr+ dinner and we weren't slow-playing. They were out of the chili (?), and had 3 swordfish that my mom got one of and liked it. Rainbow salad nothing special, but good. We got the seasonal (elote) veggies and onions & mushrooms for the table and both were good, particularly the onions & mushrooms. Great herbs and spices on that. I got 8oz filet which was 4 small medalions. Didn't expect that and kinda dry but still good, especially with the sides. Recommend trying out but not in a huge rush to get back.

We love Lonely Pine! Their retro laid back atmosphere with excellent service and exceptional food makes for a perfect evening! Their happy hour is amazing! We love the bone marrow and the steaks are always fresh and delicious!

Want great steaks, a casual atmosphere and prices that won't break the bank? Then this is your steak place and you should check it out ASAP. We went to dinner around 6 pm on a Friday night. Though they do not take reservations we were able to be seated immediately. The service was great along with an inviting atmosphere. Now let me get to my favorite part... the food! We ordered a 16 oz Cowboy with mushroom and garlic butter, 8 oz Ohio Wagyu fillet, potatoes, seasonal vegetables, bread basket with tallow-butter curd, 1 large scoop of Aglamesis Bros Banana Chip Ice cream and the Triple Citrus Crème Brûlée. Everything tasted fantastic and I couldn't stop thinking about my Wagyu fillet. I felt like I was flying and in an emotional state of pure bliss!! Only fantastic steaks make me feel this way, so yes, it WAS DELICIOUS! The Cowboy was a flavor bomb, dry aged for 30 days and cooked to perfection. The Ohio Wagyu tasted as expected; tender, lean and wonderful. If you are a garlic or mushroom fan, I recommend to pay the $3 extra dollars for these butters. Definitely worth the calories. As for everything else we tried, they were great. The other big highlight was the ice cream. It tasted like a frozen chocolate banana (one of my favorite desserts). Honestly, this was one of the best scoops of ice cream I have ever tried. If you've never tried Aglamesis Bros ice cream, you must order this as dessert. With all of this food, our meal came out to be around $80 dollars per person. However, we splurged on this meal. If you come here and order a side with two steak entrees you can easily lower this cost to around 40-50 dollars per person depending on what you order. The 8 oz Wagu fillet was only $29 dollars! Come here and enjoy yourself without worrying about making this a formal affair, while still being able to enjoy quality food.

Wife and I went for first time 1/11/23. Little, maximum 49 customers. No copper for Moscow mules, drinks average but generous, food quite expensive. For 3 drinks, 1 appetizer, shared large steak entree, cup of soup, no dessert, $150, we do tip generously. Service was slow but personable. We were grateful to know our cow had friends, frolicked in the fields, and only had 1 bad day, Portlandia-esque.

I visited Lonely Pine for the first time on a Wednesday night during COVID for an anniversary celebration. Due to the space limitations and covid pre-cautions I made reservations in advance to ensure we had a table as walk in seats are very limited. Upon arriving we were greeted by a very friendly hostess who provided us an on the house glass of red wine. This was a great welcome surprise and a nice touch by the restaurant. We were seated at one of the corner booths which allowed us to be secluded but also gave us the perfect angle to take in all of the specially selected decor items in the restaurant - for those that do not know the restaurant is styled in old Route 66 decor. Our waitress was extremely helpful in helping us pick from the cocktail list and the menu as it was our first time there. We had checked out the online menu prior to arriving as we know that the menu changes often at Lonely Pine, but hearing from the waitress about the fan favorites was super helpful. We opted for the 16 Bricks bread basket and the cowboy/ranchero chili for appetizers- and WOW. I could eat that chili every dang day it was so good - definitely recommend and recommend getting it in the larger size. We also got a small appetizer on the house - some candied bacon with pickled vegetables - I think the pickled green beans were the best I have ever had! For our main course I opted for the fillet and my boyfriend the ribeye - both were cooked to perfection - a small crisp sear on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside. We ordered the fingerling potatoes and the seasonal vegetables for our sides per the waitress' recommendations and they also did not disappoint, but compared to the rest of the meal I would have to say these were the two items I would go without next time I come in for a visit. Since this was a holiday - for dessert we opted to try both items - the apple creme brulee - one of the best creme brulee's I have ever had - and the cheesebake - which was also fresh and delicious. We left Lonely Pine feeling full, satisfied, and pampered. The nice touches of the welcome wine, free appetizer, the owner coming table to table to check in, and the attentiveness of the waitresses - all made our visit exceptional. We will definitely be back to Lonely Pine!

The Wagyu steak was absolutely bomb! Especially with the dry aged tallow butter steak topper! The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was cozy. I definitely enjoyed eating the farm to table ingredients. A great way to spend an anniversary.

My boyfriend has this thing where he wants a steak for his birthday. This year we made reservations here for his celebration. I do not eat steak and have dietary restrictions. I planned to just have a cocktail while he ate his meal but the gentleman who took our reservation assured me that they would have something for me for that night. We got nervous about covid and dining out. We canceled. But the guy who answered the phone said they do take-out! They'll even make a special picnic for you. He was so nice and courteous. The customer service here is fantastic. On my boyfriend's birthday I ordered his meal and a cocktail for me (I felt like requesting a special meal when getting take-out was bad manners). I arrived too early to pick it up. The maitre d (is that the correct title?) gave me complimentary wine to drink while I waited! I'm not a wine person but I was so excited! Free wine! My boyfriend was over the moon about his steak. I had the gin and tonic and, it turns out, I don't like gin and tonics. But I was happy his birthday meal was great and the service could not have been better. Hopefully next year we can eat in. It's a really fun spot. I think the steak might taste even better while taking in the decor.

A very intimate setting, reservations are highly suggested. My steak was amazing. Cooked perfectly, and topped with herbed butter.

Oh wow, what a nice night of extraordinary service and food! Next level, so taken care of! The hubs and I kicked off the end of 2021 with bone marrow. Delectable! Next up a shared Caesar salad - those crunchies, yum. Mains were the Cowboy ribeye for him and the catch of the day, scallops with Parmesan Risotto and a poblano sauce to die for. For dessert, all 3 - an incredible crème brûlée, a peppermint tres leches and a cheesecake you won't find anywhere else. Drinks were sublime. Only regret was not visiting sooner! Thank you for incredible close to 2021 and start to 2022!

Wow nice place on Montgomery rd. It is not a big place maybe about 10 tables. But a nice bar also. Prices are very reasonable. Service is top notch. We all had the special. It was filet,small salad,bread and smaller side. The bread was out of this world good. Filet was good as well. To tell how great service was my wife ordered mid well. The brought out a well done one BUT told her to nibble on this and they were making her a correct one. Nice. Drinks were really reasonable prices. No draft beer. No reservations taken but suggested to go at 5:30 when the open. When we left it was getting full. So do go and enjoy.

WOW! This place is AMAZING! Yes, steak is OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE, but the 8 oz filet was worth EVERY penny! Cooked to perfection with very light and complementary seasoning. Fingerling Potatoes are life changing. The salads had a whole bunch of good stuff going on and perfectly dressed. Ask for Kaylee and Allison. They are AWESOME!

Excellent! My wife and I came here for our anniversary not sure what to expect. It's a small place but they distanced each table apart. Also didn't hurt they welcomed us with a glass of sparkling wine. The menu is different but we tried a bit of it all. The cured bacon, asparagus bisque, ribeye, and swordfish. Everything was delicious and our waitress did a good job explaining everything and checking on us. Only thing I regret is not packing the ribeye bone with me. We'll definitely be coming back!

Not been having much luck with new-to-me places of late, and this was no different Service was good, I will give them that, but --my MR steak was cooked to M/MW, was salty beyond reason, was cut up rather than whole (it appears one can ask that it not be cut up, but this isn't mentioned on the menu), and was delivered at room temperature --The house steak sauce tastes like black licorice --my au gratin potatoes were not very flavorful, but the much bigger problem was that they were crunchy, barely cooked at all, even though the potatoes were sliced to near potato chip thickness. They did offer to replace them with another side, but I ate them nonetheless because I was hungry and didnt want to waste them. To their credit, they removed this from the bill without me asking --Bread is 5 dollars extra. Even at Ruby's, which is also an ala carte style menu like this place, bread is included --Plenty of adult beverages are available, but if you want a soft drink, you are confined to bottled coke --Prices are alleged to be the advantage here over other upscale steakhouses, and although they do have a few steaks in the 20-30 dollar range - like a tiny filet - most of their offerings seem to be in the 40-60 dollar range, which pretty much puts them at the same price point as other high end steakhouses. Not to mention that the sides are just as expensive as elsewhere, and of course the charge for bread service. Parking is a serious problem for all businesses in the Pleasant Ridge business district, no more no less for this establishment I find that getting a cel signal inside buildings in this business district is nearly impossible, but thankfully they do have free wifi. Use the OL Guest connection, password overlook (Overlook Lodge is next door and under the same ownership)

Normally we have an incredible experience at the lonely pine. So much that we brought our best friends tonight. We left completely dissatisfied and disappointed. The food was no where near as good as normal. I don't know if there was a new cook but we were not happy. Our reservations were at 7:15pm and our meal arrived after 9pm. The food clearly was prepared with short cuts and it was noticeable and underwhelming. We left unhappy and disappointed and embarrassed that we bragged about this place to our best friends as a hidden gem in Cincy.

The absolute best steak in Cincinnati! They dry age their steaks in house and always have a variety of incredible offerings.

A must if you're a steak lover. The atmosphere and awesome service only skyrockets the entire experience. Come for the steak, but return for the people.

The most amazing service and food in the Tri state! The steak is made to perfection and the dessert is unbelievable! Literally Heaven on a plate! Hats off to the chef!

Fantastic. My date got the Waigu filet and I got the cowboy ribeye. Had the bread service as an app and split the green bean casserole as a side. Everything was cooked perfectly, the green beans were out of this world. The butter offered for each dish was nothing short of spectacular. Friendly and attentive staff, very nice ambience, all around great dining experience. No reservations so call ahead to judge the wait. Not a cheap night if you're going for a bigger cut, but worth every penny. Defi going back.
