Spent a few hours ( at the Lord Gladstone) on Sunday afternoon listening to some awesome music. Decided to get some food and we weren’t disappointed. It’s pretty standard pub food, but definitely hit the spot. The crinkle fries are THE BEST I’ve tasted in Australia. Their salt blend was incredible. I’d go back just for the music (it was rave music situated out the back) and the crinkle fries.

Hole in the wall pub with good food! Tried s bunch of mains, starters and the lone dessert and everything was quite tasty. Live music on Friday (which we found too loud, so we sat outside)

the LG charges $5 for lemonade from tha soda gun :/ and it was 90% ice. like that mustve been 2c worth of lemonade... and almost every other bar will do mixers for free... literally so egregious the bartender apologised (not their fault though obv!). otherwise really great venue! happy to delete this review when they stop charging so much for a sober night :///

I would really appreciate it if you could keep the volume down during the late evenings. The music and bass are consistently too loud and carry well beyond your venue. Please be more considerate with the noise levels.

Great grunge pub. Was hosting a mini band festival when I went. Heard that oasis had their after party there when they played in Sydney. Owner was a legend.

Sydney’s best burger according to Tamm So I had the Triple Cheeseburger here a little while ago, and it was sooo good. I didn’t know if I just had a great night out or the burger really was that good. Tonight I went back, and besides the lovely service the friend I brought with me and I can confirm it’s one bloody good burger. It’s got all the things I like, and none of the things I prefer avoided. A good bun that’s not too sweet, red onion, pickle, a great patty juicy enough to drip a little but not drop any of the contents, SO cheesy… and the chips are crisp shoestring fries with a reasonable amount of salt. I’ll definitely be making this place a regular, even if I just want a great burger.

Check out this pub on a Monday for Pub Feed. Been here many times usually to get their Chicken Schnitzel special on Monday. They doing it for $12.5 and its one of the best Schnitzel under $15 in all the Pub that I tried. The Chicken Schnitzel is decent size well seasoned, fries are hot and crispy with a nice creamy slaw and the mushroom sauce is never enough for me as I want to dip the whole Schnitzel into the sauce. They have other deal too like Mon to Wed $12.5 lunches, Tue $4 Racos, Wed $15 Parmi with a Pint of Young Henry for $5 and Thursady $12.5 Rump Steak. Good spot for neighbourhood Pub feed with cool vibes.

Went for drum and bass party. Pub could use a bit of renovation, especially bathrooms, but I enjoyed everything else about it. Nice lights, kicka$$ sound system, friendly crowd and staff. Was free entry too.

Yelp
Now, this was one awesome pub. Well, at first it didn't seem to be the case, particularly when I wandered into the front bar and it basically looked like your typical sports bar, however, when I made my way out the back I discovered an awesome beer garden. In fact more than that, there were some great other bars in this establishment, as well as a gallery. Oh, and the paintings on the walls outside were pretty awesome. This was one great pub.

Yelp
Heard good things about this place so I came here for their $10 Lunch special on Monday's and Tuesdays. You can get a burger with fries ranging from cheeseburger, vegan burger, to fried chicken burger and a few others. The fit out is pretty cool, large outdoor area and chill vibe and staff. Food came out rather quick, I thought $10 was a great deal so I ordered a fried chicken burger and Bushwick burger. Bushwick burger is beef, cheese, onion, pickle, lettuce, tomato sauce, on an nyc style. Hold up, what's an NYC style bun? I've spent a lot of time in New York City and have never heard of such a thing...NYC style pizza sure. NYC style bun? This is some faux BS trying to win customers in an attempt to seem more authentic methinks... Anyway, the fried chicken burger was great, definitely up there with the best in Sydney, comparable to Mary's, Pub Life (prior to the new one,) and Pinbone. The Bushwick burger on the other hand was OK. It seriously just tasted like a Whopper from Hungry Jack's. Not a bad thing...but nothing special either, because if I wanted an imitation of something I would have just gone to the original. Will have to come back to try the cheeseburger. Chicken is 4.5/5 Bushwick is 3/5

Yelp
LORD GLADSTONE (Chippendale, NSW) Burgers ain't cheap in Sydney's inner city and most of the time most places justify their $18+ price by serving burgers with fries.. BLAHH. I don't want fries and I don't want an overpriced burger! I was stoked to find the Lord Gladstone does a special on Monday & Tues offering $10 burgers.. and with fries. I heard the burgs were good too. It's a pub, you order at the counter, take a buzzer and wait for it to buzz. The menu offers snacks, salads, mains and burgers. The burger offering is a simple affair with 3 beef option, a chicken and a Philly Cheese Steak. The 'Bushwick' burger fit my review criteria consisting of beef, cheese, onion, pickles, lettuce, tomato and house sauce. The bun was excellent. Soft, puffy, fresh, held together perfectly and flattened nicely after first bite. Patty was one of the best I've had. The usual stuff I love was all there: no herbs/spices, pink in the middle, large grind size, etc. What took this patty to the next level was the charring on the pattie's crust. Dang it was tasty. Not only did it add texture but the flavor... Wow dude, best charring I've tasted. Salad was good but it was frustrating the lettuce was shredded) please change to leaf form). Onions were subtle which was great and pickles cut through the overall creamy taste of everything else. House sauce was the type I love and it was plentiful. When I quizzed the chef about the ingredients it wasn't far off the one I make at home. Now this burger was a corker and I'll be back... Albeit only one specials days. Highly recommended.

Yelp
The Lord Gladstone is a modest looking place, "tastefully" dingy does well in this pub. Although small in size, it has a reasonable court yard and is a pretty good setting for a casual catch up. What surprised me most are the burgers here. I ordered the Double Double which is a chicken burger, cheeseburger and a side of chips and not a crumb was left behind. They were extremely generous with their servings, the meat was juicy, I would put it in the same league than the famous Marys burgers. I believe that speaks for itself!

Yelp
So this place has had a humble renovation and instead of a dingy low lit shit hole that had smoke machine parties every other weekend it's now totally acceptable to eat/drink here during the week. The pub is now a well lit clean venue with a great kitchen. The cheeseburger is up there with cheeky burger and Mary's for me plus it's only $10 (with fries) on Mondays and Tuesday's (usually $15) It's a classic American styled cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard and pickles. The fried chicken burger also $10 on Monday and Tuesday (usually $17) and taste how a fried chicken burger should, I personally prefer this fried chicken burger to Mary's. I hate Mayonnaise but the Sriracha Mayo they're running here is legit! Looking forward to trying more of the menu, do yourself a favour and get a burger from here you won't regret it. Five stars is for how fucking good and cheap their burgers are.

Yelp
The vibe was good, the beer was good, the burger look good but it was a cold soggy mess when I picked it up. Pretty disappointed with it but maybe that how they serve food on a Friday night. I will give them another chance though.

Yelp
Stopped in here a couple times while staying in Redfern. Great beers, delicious fries, and friendly staff. Great spot.

Yelp
Casual and relaxed atmosphere although a little dingy.. They're famous for housing the famous hashtag burgers which was a little disappointing when I visited but I wouldn't mind giving it another chance and try other specials.
