First time guests. Two experiences lowered our service rating.
Upon entering, we learned TLF only allows patrons 21+ to dine. You read this correctly: to dine.
(The TLF homepage shows nothing about being 21+, and while OpenTable mentions the age restriction, it's presented below the selection for date, time, and party size. If you don't scroll down, which we didn't do, you don't see it.)
At the table, we informed our server that we were first time guests. He barely acknowledged us and said nothing about the restaurant, why we chose it, what dishes he'd recommend, or whether anyone had food allergies.
On the plus side, we got plenty of water throughout our meal.
The decor is reminiscent of Clyde's with lots of wood, a fireplace, and plenty of fox-themed art. The noise level, mainly from other guests, was loud and sounded more like a happy hour bar than a fine dining restaurant.
The food is the saving grace. We enjoyed the deviled eggs and devoured the wings. We highly recommend the citrus shrimp and salmon entrees. The burger was delicious, too.
Not being able to dine with our youngest child (19 yo) crosses TLF off the list for a 2nd visit, especially with other similar restaurants not having age restrictions.
Plus, the hostess scanned our 22 yo's DL, which was off putting. We were there for dinner and well after happy hour ended. Sure, check IDs to keep your ABC license, but scanning DLs seems invasive.
Both the main floor and front door hostesses confirmed TLF is 21+ ALL THE TIME.
