We enjoyed our stay here, My wife thinks it's adorable !!. Lots of nice ambience, quiet rooms, nice home away from home feel. I think the Loubird Inn is a very good choice if you want to see other local outdoor attractions/adventures and hidden slot gems off the beaten path. Close to - yet far enough from Bryce Canyon NP too. The Staff/Owner of the Inn is very easy going and helpful, the Inn has a simple easy to understand check in / check out rule. !!! Highly Recommended !!!

I did not expect to fall in love with a tiny town of like, 800 people with no "real" hotels (I've had seriously mixed experiences with independent places to stay). By far and away, Loubird was my favorite place to stay along my 3 week road trip out west - and I wish I wasn't so tightly programmed so I could've stayed in a cozy blob snuggled in the bed for a while longer. I still probably got to Capitol Reef National Park an hour or 2 later than intended because I stuck around... I absolutely loved my cozy room - within about an hour of anything you could probably want to see in the Grand Staircase/Escalante National Monument. Within a mile of all the places to eat in Escalante, UT and literally right on UT Scenic Highway 12 - but the room wasn't noisy because there isn't a ton of crazy traffic there. I absolutely fell in love with the town - I told friends that if I ever went missing, the first place they should check is Escalante and quite probably my room (the Canyon room) at the Loubird. There are grills outside and a hammock for reading, and the weather in Escalante was amazing (I'm used to the East Coast swampy heat). I desperately want to go back and get snowed into that little tiny room or to stay for longer any time of year - it feels like the perfect retreat if you want to hide somewhere for a week to write a novel or hide from society. I'm already trying to figure out how to go back - it's so out of the way and hard to get to from the East Coast, but absolutely worth it.

We had the pleasure of finding this little gem of an “inn”. Located smack dab in the middle of Escalante. Love Escalante too, but, the Loubird made it extra special. I’m a clean freak and Haylee makes sure every little detail has been addressed. Very sweet cabins with all the amenities- well appointed with local artwork too! Lots of flowers and fruit trees and vegetables they grow. Also, we ate at their restaurant “Magnolia” just down the street named after one of their sweet daughters. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night! Thank you for making your “Inn” such a sweet place to stay. Cherie

I took a solo vacation to the Escalante area in late October 2024. Usually I'm camping out in the middle of nowhere, but I wanted something a little more "luxurious" for this trip, and I'm not a fan of chain hotels. I booked the Sunrise room at Loubird, for 2 nights - upon arriving, I was honestly sad I hadn't booked it for a third. This is the absolute cutest place. My room was private, quiet, clean - it literally looked JUST like the pictures on the website when I walked through the door. I have never had that experience anywhere else I've stayed...I mean, never. The garden out back is so gorgeous and peaceful, and I enjoyed reading on my private patio. It felt like a true vacation and was just what I needed. ||The nitty gritty: bed was comfy, room was spotless (including under the bed), good lighting, water pressure in the shower was excellent, linens were clean and high quality. The check in process is a little interesting - there's no in-person "check in" but the way they have it set up works well. A little kitten hung out with me on the patio, too, which was an unexpected bonus :) I would definitely stay here again!

Clean and comfortable. Good internet. No options on limited tv. Right in escalante. Great porch outside to relax. Friendly cats and owners. Several ... A few places to eat...very pricey.

My wife and I just completed a month of wandering from Montana to Arizona. Along the way we made arrangements to spend the night at The Loubird Inn. Had I known what we would find when we arrived, I would have made different plans, making sure I had additional time to relax here. |After days of driving and hiking, there could not be a better place to relax and recharge. The rooms were well appointed with everything we needed, and the bed was wonderful. The best night sleep on our trip and one of the most comfortable beds I have experienced. |While the creator comforts are great, the best part of our stay was how welcoming Haylee and assistant host Emmylou made us feel. Warm, welcoming and helpful. |My wife especially enjoyed her breakfast. She walked around the property and ate strawberries and blackberries off the vine and pears and plums from the trees. Could it be better?|Thank you, Haylee. If we pass this way again, we will surely spend more time.

Love the Loubird! Our room, Sunshine , was very clean and had a peaceful and bright feel. The outside patio view of the garden was very sweet and enjoyed the evening relaxing and star gazing. |We had originally thought bed and breakfast but this changed and they no longer have breakfast included. However, their restaurant across the street is fabulous. Everything we had there was delicious and we look forward to staying here again. What a great find.

The Loubird (Lou's Bluebird) Inn is a very nice place in a remote location. The town of Escalante is a very small town and you have limited choices. The Loubird is impeccably clean (eat-off-the-floors clean) as you would expect an owner/operator hotel where the owner's live on-site. There are four small cottages adjacent to the main residence. It's extremely quiet and has a beautiful garden out back. I enjoyed the wonderful scents. In side, you have everything you need, including hotel-style air conditioner and small fridge. The linens are exceptionally clean. There is a guest lounge where you can find local information for hiking and other activities that I found extremely usual to get hooked up to services like food and gear and where to go. The owners are generally not visible, but who cares? You shouldn't need them.

Yelp
What a lovely bed and breakfast Canyons is. We spent a night in the Cowboy room and enjoyed every moment of it. I highly recommend it. The room was comfortable and the decor was charming - see photos. It had everything one needs for a successful stay. The real draw is the porch where you can sit and enjoy the property. The property features a little sitting area with a hammock. The owners' garden comprises the back part of the place with a pear tree, strawberry patch, and other vegetables and fruits. Guests see this garden bounty in the wonderful breakfast served each morning. The owners are very kind and interesting. We enjoyed chatting with them because it's fascinating to understand the life of a B&B owner in highly-rural Utah. One of the very cool things that came from these chats was advice on taking a dirt "road less traveled" to our next destination. What excellent advice because we saw so many interesting rock formations and ranges. Totally worthwhile. One thing you should do if you stay here is go out after dark and look at the skies. The stars just burst and you can even see the Milky Way. I think anyone would enjoy a stay at this lovely bed and breakfast.

Yelp
What an AMAZING place! I'm so glad my hubby found it! Booking and checkin were easy. The self check in process was simple. The 24/7 guest lounge is great with all sorts of travel info, glasses and dishes, ice, popcorn, tea, some seating, and probably many other things I'm forgetting! We stayed in the cowboy room and the theme decorating was excellent. It was very spacious and the bathroom was large. It had a coffeemaker and fridge which were perfectly sized. The fridge was off upon arrival and instructions for turning it back on were easy to follow. It cooled down very quickly. It's a quiet town, but still earplugs were provided in the medicine cabinet as well as other helpful items just in case! The property is very lovely with plenty of outdoor seating on our porch or in the garden. There was a hammock too! At night there's some delicate lighting which looks lovely and helps you find your way to your room. Breakfast and chatting with the owners is the best part!!! Our first morning we were treated to delicious homemade bread and pear jam. PEAR JAM! They then brought out the rest of the breakfast which had scrambled eggs, potato slices, and artistically sliced and presented fruit (banana, strawberry, kiwi, blueberry, watermelon). Coffee, tea, cereal, milk, and squeeze your own OJ was also available. We got great sightseeing tips. I don't know if it's due to current conditions or not but they offered to bring us our breakfast outside the dining room or to our porch. Since it's only 4 rooms there and people had signed up for slightly different times we ate in the dining room both mornings. The second morning instead of potato we had yummy French toast with a fruit compote squeezed on top, syrup on the side. Instead of watermelon they served us their homemade applesauce! Since they charge prior to arrival, checkout was super simple. Oh and the friendly cat was definitely a bonus.

Yelp
Second time in Escalante and staying here and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. You can tell the owners take great pride in running this place, and have so many personal touches all over the place like q-tips in each medicine cabinet and filtered water in the lobby. I have two favorite parts, one is their breakfast. OMG!! It puts all other complimentary hotel breakfasts to shame!Homemade bread and jams, dairy free creamer and fresh fruit. Second is their adorable cat Moki! She loves to personally greet each guest and walk them to their rooms. Don't hesitate to book this place when you come to Escalante, you won't regret it.

Yelp
The breakfast was easily the best breakfast I've had in my life. Not sure what they put in their eggs but it is magic.. Such a relaxing environment, such cool people, and a friendly cat who loves attention. Please stay here. It will brighten your day

Yelp
Headed out on a two-week trip to tour the mighty five National Parks in Utah. Staying overnight at Canyons B&B was disappointing. Why? Because we couldn't stay longer! I truly wish we could have stayed AT LEAST another night to get to know Natalya a little better and get another GREAT night sleep! We had made our reservations ahead of time (good thing we did as they were sold out by the time our friends made their reservations and they had to stay at a different B&B down the road)! We arrived at Capitol Reef National Park in the morning and filled the day by hiking/touring before driving to Escalante for our night's stay. We arrived in the late afternoon and were promptly greeted by one of their outdoor kitties. At the time we arrived, we walked around the side of the B&B and noticed a board with everyone's name on it that was checking in that day, along with a nice welcome message. It was a self check-in, so we followed the instructions, got our key and found our room. As we walked around the other side of the B&B, we followed a wonderful meandering pathway lined with beautiful flowers, lights and the constant meowing of the resident kitty welcoming us. While the kitty waited outside (yes, she literally stopped at our doorstep and waited for us to return), we opened the door to a beautifully decorated room depicting a variety of sporting themes (yes, our room was called, "The Lodge" room). The decor was on-point, the bed EXTREMELY comfy with duvet and fluffy pillows as well. On top of the dresser was a coffee maker, a container of teas, sugar, creamers, etc., for us to choose from. The overall condition of the room was immaculate and fresh-smelling. It also included a heater and air-conditioner, along with a flat-screen TV. The bathroom was decorated as well, complete with a medicine cabinet that included a couple of zip-lock bags labeled, "just in case". One was filled with feminine products, while the other with first-aid products. Seriously? Natalya has thought of everything! While we left those behind, we did enjoy the wonderful array of soaps and lotions she provided for us. This B&B is for adults only - no children. While some may not agree with this policy, we chose this B&B FOR that reason. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing atmosphere and Canyons B&B did not disappoint! The B&B sits on a very nice piece of property, and contains a breakfast eating area, a guest lounge (complete with reading material, table, chairs, refrigerator, microwave, plates, utensils, and a variety of glassware). After dinner that evening, we went in and fixed ourselves coffee and sat at the table and talked about all the things we did that day! There is also a large tree-covered patio, complete with BBQ and smoker if you wish! We couldn't wait to meet Natalya not only because of her personality on the phone, but because her decor was beautiful and the overall atmosphere of Canyons B&B was so very inviting! The next morning, as we entered the breakfast area, we were promptly greeted by Natalya. Extremely friendly, eager to please and very proud of her B&B, she took us on a tour of the eating area and showed us where the coffee & teas was located, along with an assortment of juices, fresh breads, muffins, cereals and a refrigerator with more! That was just the beginning! She then asked us to let her know when we were ready for breakfast (WHAT? I thought that WAS the breakfast)! We enjoyed our coffee and juice and then Natalya brought out a large plate of fresh fruit, freshly scrambled eggs and breads for each of us! The seasoning for the eggs was absolutely perfect (I'm also a cook, so I look for these things). As we left, I made a note immediately that we WILL return and join Natalya again for a longer stay at her wonderful B&B! Thank you!

Yelp
I stayed here for one night and am very happy with this place. I had the Garden Deluxe room and it is very nice. The room has private patio with lounging chairs. Two robes are hanging in the closet. Looks like the host pays a lot of attention to detail. I called them around 1pm and asked if I could check in early and she said that rooms were ready and I could check in anytime which was very nice. I was able to rest up as it was almost 80 degrees outside. I will definitely stay here if I am ever in this area again and highly recommend this place.

Yelp
What a joy to stay here! Within the beautiful garden and porch area you can sit underneath a hundred year old apricot tree. We stayed in the cabana room which was wonderful. It was hard to leave after the tasty breakfast and meeting the outgoing owners.

Yelp
Spent 2 nights in the cowboy room 2 days apart . This place exceeded my expectations. Attention to detail was totally off the chart . Very informal check in simple and made us feel at home right away. These folks are so friendly as well. The grounds are phenomenally well kept as well. BBQ , hammock , tables to gather on a spacious patio area. I simply gotta come back here.

Yelp
We booked this online based on reviews and comments and we were not disappointed. Natalya does a great job of making the stay and enjoyable and worthwhile experience, with knowledge of the local area and passion for the out-or-doors! Understand, though, that this is an adult facility - there are no children under 12 and NO PETS! She puts on a great breakfast and has a very nice and clean place that was just up our alley...in fact we extended out stay a couple days because the place was so comfortable, and we had found even more to do in the area with Natalya's help! i would certainly book Canyons again when back to Escalante, and I can recommend it to you, also. Say HI to the cats for us, too!

Yelp
The best way to judge a business is by how they handle things when something goes wrong. we had a problem with our water heater our first night there. Natalia took our concern very seriously and literally had a fix it guy there within minutes. She also gave us a more than adequate discount on our bill. We had a lovely stay and the breakfast was delicious! Home made bread and the best scrambled eggs I've ever had! Natalia was knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great tips on hiking as well as a nearby spot my husband could go running. Would definitely stay there again.

Yelp
We just completed a 3-day stay at Canyons Bed & Breakfast in Escalante, Utah. It was a delightful and a tremendous value for the price. Our room was clean and comfortable and decked out thoughtfully with amenities. The owner/operator, Natalia, was energetic and friendly, and clearly cares about her customers. The included breakfast was excellent, on-time, and plentiful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or to recommend CB&B to friends and family. This was a wonderful part of being in Escalante and went beyond our expectations. Highly recommended.
