Headed out on a two-week trip to tour the mighty five National Parks in Utah. Staying overnight at Canyons B&B was disappointing. Why? Because we couldn't stay longer! I truly wish we could have stayed AT LEAST another night to get to know Natalya a little better and get another GREAT night sleep! We had made our reservations ahead of time (good thing we did as they were sold out by the time our friends made their reservations and they had to stay at a different B&B down the road)! We arrived at Capitol Reef National Park in the morning and filled the day by hiking/touring before driving to Escalante for our night's stay. We arrived in the late afternoon and were promptly greeted by one of their outdoor kitties. At the time we arrived, we walked around the side of the B&B and noticed a board with everyone's name on it that was checking in that day, along with a nice welcome message. It was a self check-in, so we followed the instructions, got our key and found our room. As we walked around the other side of the B&B, we followed a wonderful meandering pathway lined with beautiful flowers, lights and the constant meowing of the resident kitty welcoming us. While the kitty waited outside (yes, she literally stopped at our doorstep and waited for us to return), we opened the door to a beautifully decorated room depicting a variety of sporting themes (yes, our room was called, "The Lodge" room). The decor was on-point, the bed EXTREMELY comfy with duvet and fluffy pillows as well. On top of the dresser was a coffee maker, a container of teas, sugar, creamers, etc., for us to choose from. The overall condition of the room was immaculate and fresh-smelling. It also included a heater and air-conditioner, along with a flat-screen TV. The bathroom was decorated as well, complete with a medicine cabinet that included a couple of zip-lock bags labeled, "just in case". One was filled with feminine products, while the other with first-aid products. Seriously? Natalya has thought of everything! While we left those behind, we did enjoy the wonderful array of soaps and lotions she provided for us. This B&B is for adults only - no children. While some may not agree with this policy, we chose this B&B FOR that reason. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing atmosphere and Canyons B&B did not disappoint!
The B&B sits on a very nice piece of property, and contains a breakfast eating area, a guest lounge (complete with reading material, table, chairs, refrigerator, microwave, plates, utensils, and a variety of glassware). After dinner that evening, we went in and fixed ourselves coffee and sat at the table and talked about all the things we did that day! There is also a large tree-covered patio, complete with BBQ and smoker if you wish! We couldn't wait to meet Natalya not only because of her personality on the phone, but because her decor was beautiful and the overall atmosphere of Canyons B&B was so very inviting!
The next morning, as we entered the breakfast area, we were promptly greeted by Natalya. Extremely friendly, eager to please and very proud of her B&B, she took us on a tour of the eating area and showed us where the coffee & teas was located, along with an assortment of juices, fresh breads, muffins, cereals and a refrigerator with more! That was just the beginning! She then asked us to let her know when we were ready for breakfast (WHAT? I thought that WAS the breakfast)! We enjoyed our coffee and juice and then Natalya brought out a large plate of fresh fruit, freshly scrambled eggs and breads for each of us! The seasoning for the eggs was absolutely perfect (I'm also a cook, so I look for these things). As we left, I made a note immediately that we WILL return and join Natalya again for a longer stay at her wonderful B&B! Thank you!
