Our stay at the hotel in Luang Prabang was, unfortunately, disappointing. While the location was convenient, the overall experience fell short of expectations, especially considering the price. The hotel felt dated and in dire need of a complete renovation. The promised renovations were nowhere to be seen, and the overall impression upon arrival was less than ideal. Basic amenities like toiletries and towels were subpar, with the towels appearing stained and torn. The slow water pressure in the shower made for an unpleasant bathing experience. The hotel's restaurant was also overpriced, forcing us to dine elsewhere.||The most frustrating aspect was the miscommunication regarding the New Year's Eve dinner. We were not informed that the celebration came with a hefty USD 150 per person charge. The front desk staff, specifically Mr. Bird, made excuses about miscommunication, despite the fact that we never even inquired about the dinner. We were simply informed about the celebration and sent a menu and activities list via WhatsApp, with no clear indication of the cost.||Overall, this hotel needs significant improvements in all areas if it wants to attract tourists and retain returning guests. The current state of the hotel does not justify the high price tag.
