What a great find! Lovely apartments in really well kept/clean grounds. Great facilities. The staff are really friendly and cannot do enough for you. My 1 piece of feedback is have some kind of buzzer or someone checking on the pool area for refreshments etc.

Very disappointing experience – would not recommendI had a really bad experience at this hotel. During my shower, the shampoo bottle accidentally slipped out of my hand and fell on my foot. I immediately informed the staff, expecting at least a simple “Are you okay?” or a replacement bottle. Instead, they didn’t replace it and even charged me 20 USD because the shampoo bottle broke.For a hotel in this price range, especially when staying in a King Suite, this is absolutely unacceptable. The service felt cold and focused only on money, not on the guests’ well-being. I think it’s really disappointing, and it completely ruined the stay for me.I would not recommend this hotel and will definitely not return.

A lot of these reviews are old and I made this booking based on those - steer clear of this place. It's definitely not a 5 star hotel, 3 star at best? It's a tired colonial hotel - IF service was up-to-par, it would be an amazing experience, but it's just not there. Please read the entire review, I will point out some things that are nits, and other things that are larger, pervasive issues. Your welcome gift is 2 tangerines (don't even give a welcome at that point). The staff is constantly on their phones with 0 attentiveness. I had no shampoo and conditioner and reminded them 3 days consecutively, never got it and just bought it on my own. We needed our bags brought down because we were rushing for a train, never got the bags, even after 30 minutes and 3 repeated phone calls. They charge USD prices (highway robbery) for all amenities. They will attempt to fleece you as a tourist CONSTANTLY. Fell for it once and I really regret it - got us tickets to the worst river cruise of all time. Do not take ANY of their recommendations. They are clearly getting kickbacks from local operators (which is fine but at least curate good experiences). They will try to impose tuktuks on you, please just use Loca - the loca cars are WAY better than a tuktuk and half the price. It's just so unfortunate that the service is SO poor at this hotel. Cleanliness is horrible - as soon as you drive up, there's cigarrete buts that the staff has left in the planters RIGHT outside the hotel. There are SO many better hotels in Luang Prabang. Yes, colonial charm is there of this hotel, but the service is so horrendously poor that I would never stay here again.

This is a lovely, traditional hotel on the outskirts of the town. It has beautiful, spacious suites and we had a balcony to sit and relax. The staff are very attentive and always helpful. The pool is absolutely beautiful. It was a great stay.

This place have rats. I thought our room got broken into in the middle of the night because I heard something. It was trying to get into our leftovers. There are mosquitoes everywhere although we had a bed net. These buildings are old with an antique look if you’re into that. The staff were great. There are better 5 star hotels options elsewhere

I rarely leave reviews, but this hotel deserves it. First of all I am wondering how it happened to stay 5 star with such limited facilities and room conditions: no gym, restaurant as a walk through from reception that serves all: breakfast, lunch and dinner on one tiny spot, no wonder it was deserted for the 3 night stay we had, it did not look any promising for a good food at all. Towels, linen are all grey colour, bathrobes saw better times with remarkable stains all over it, dirty grey also, of course. Housekeeping...if I say it politely those people were never been trained for the job, got there, doing something they can for the standards they have in their minds far from the 5 star ( or even 3 star ) hotel standarts, behave like you are rather a nonsense than a hotel guest who paid for the calm and comfort. Showers start running hot water only if you wait about 10 to 15 minutes, wondering is it going to get warmer or not, extremely low pressure, don't even aim to wash your hair thoroughly. If you happen to complain or simply ask for whatever on WhatsApp ( they claim to the best communication tool with the reception ) they simply don't answer, why to bother. If you come to the reception and ask why they are ignoring you, they won't apologise or say they did not notice your texts, they say okey, we will do it - and never do. To sum up, I can say there are better options in Luang Prabang, don't be fooled by good reviews and relatively high rating on booking and agoda for this property, it’s truly a bad buy compare price and value.

Beautiful Location, Disappointing Service The location was wonderful – a beautiful property with lovely rooms. Unfortunately, the service left us disappointed. Two issues stood out very negatively: First, my inquiries about whether a pick-up from the Slow Boat Pier was possible remained unanswered. Second, while taking a shower, the ceramic soap dispenser slipped out of my hand and fell on my foot. It broke on the floor. My foot hurt, but luckily nothing serious happened. We immediately informed the reception, and we were assured the shower area would be cleaned. Unfortunately, this never happened. We ended up cleaning it ourselves and were lucky not to cut ourselves on the shards. Upon departure, we were charged 20 USD for the broken dispenser, as “those were the rules.” In the invoice I later received via email, the 20 USD even appeared as a minibar charge. We felt very poorly treated and, unfortunately, cannot recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel. The grounds are well maintained and full of flowering plant varieties. The staff is amazing throughout the hotel. The hotel is able to arrange transportation and tours to anywhere you would like to go. We have throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here.
