The Lucky Penny Café

I absolutely adore this place! The customer service is always amazing, the atmosphere is great, I love the extended hours, and the events they do with the food trucks. The drinks can be a little pricey, but support small businesses is totally worth it! The food is pretty good, as well as their Red Bull refreshers and lotus. Personally, their coffees are a hit or miss. Sometimes they’re good, but others they taste like milk with a hint of flavor or straight like syrup. I’ve tried a variety of their iced lattes, monthly specials, etc. and that seems to be my consensus. I only wish they were open on Sundays when I crave them the most lol Overall, I love this place!

I ordered take out and it was ready right on time. The turkey panini was amazing and the açaí bowl was perfect. The cinnamon latte is very flavorful and tastes great. I will definitely be coming back very soon!!😊

I’ve essentially been addicted to this place for a few years now and for good reason. The coffee is wonderful but have you had white espresso? Go crazy, get the white espresso with a shot of dark and thank me later - you’re welcome. And if you’re not sure what to try or are just wanting something other than what’s on the menu, the staff is always super helpful and friendly…. I’ve basically got a whole side creations menu at this point 😂 Andddd don’t worry if coffee isn’t your thing, they have incredible bubble teas, lotus, chai, matcha, cocoas, etc… oh yeah and then the food! Just get in there and see for yourself it’s pretty incredible. Love this place.

First off, it is a tiny place. When they say small business, they're not lying. Extremely fresh food, ingredients. The Chilli is bland, needs salt, pepper, and spice, however it is packed with meat and cheese. The soup flight is a novel approach. Some of the soups are a hit or miss, but very good overall. The Chicken club is excellent. This restaurant has room to grow, but that's a good thing. Great and friendly service.

My family has never been disappointed after going here! The food and drinks are sooo good. The hours are perfect, too. I love that they change specials monthly, they have food trucks in the warmer months, and they just always have great things going on. The staff is amazing as well. You always feel so welcomed! Definitely a great place to stop if you live here or are passing through.

What an adorable place. The owner is super friendly. I had the Cake Bomb milkshake. If you are not a huge coffee flavor fan the white espresso that is in this drink is for you. Extremely subtle. I also got a strawberry cheesecake milkshake. The “milkshake” is more of a frappe consistency. Both of the drinks I purchased were delicious. This little local cafe serves freshly baked good, made to order custom drinks, and they are Eco-conscious. They also serve bubble tea, coffee , specialty drinks and more. The space is small but they did a great job creating seating for those who want to dine in. They serve some breakfast & lunch items, and have some great homemade soups. The restaurant is inside the Country Roads Mercantile shop. If you are ever driving though LaGrange, Ohio I highly recommend you make a special stop (dine in or carryout) into the Lucky Penny Cafe.

There was three of us, stopping in for lunch. We each had something different, wrap, panini and a smash burger. Two of us had the Red pepper tomato soup. The food was excellent, along with the service. My only concern was the seating, with two of us with hip and knee replacements high seating are not conducive to our bodies, but was grateful they did have one area for handicap(low) seating for 3.

My friend & I stopped up last Tuesday to catch up & this place is so darn cute y’all…. Not only to mention, & the drinks are always delicious!!! We absolutely loved our soup flight that we shared (came in 4 little cups). The broccoli in the broccoli & cheddar was fresh, you can tell the owner pours her heart and soul into her drinks and food. I even had a breakfast quesadilla a few weeks prior to that was incredibly delicious. Thanks for the hospitality, it’s my new favorite place! I will definitely be back soon 😊

Beef cooler! If you are looking for ground beef to steaks and everything in between they have a great selection in store you can pop in and purchase from the freezer. If you want a larger selection just call ahead and they can have what you need.

The Lucky Penny is a really small coffee shop, but it has a surprisingly big menu. There were tons of latte flavors to pick from and they had a Christmas seasonal menu out. They do coffee flights, hot or iced, for $10 which is what I opted for so I could try several. My favorite was the Nutty Christmas and the Chocolate Cherry Cordial. They also had a pretty large food menu to pick from, with granola bowls, breakfast tacos, biscuits, etc. I had a bagel from Cleveland Bagel Company. Attached to the cafe is a fun little mercantile gift shop with a variety of gifts from different vendors. They had things like clothing, food items, decorations, mugs/tumblers and more. It took a while for them to make the coffee flights, so it was perfect to have this attached while we waited. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely be coming back!

What a little gem! This tiny coffee shop and a huge offering!!! The menu is extensive with lots of options. I got a s'mores iced latte and it was delicious! It's not just wonderful drinks too, the food there is also amazing. I got a breakfast sandwich and they used CLE bagel, it was sooo delicious and filling! Would recommend and worth a drive!

Coffee is delicious. My beef is with their order ahead service. If I order a coffee for pickup and am assigned a time for pickup, that's when it should be ready. I just waited 15 minutes in line for a coffee that should've been ready 5 minutes before I walked in. It's a huge inconvenience when I'm on my way to work and prevents me from being a daily customer and only allowing me to come on an off day. Plan extra time for your drink!

The food was hot and delicious, and so was the coffee. We were greeted as soon as we arrived, and the service was excellent. Dining area is small, but fits the aesthetic of a coffee shop, with a cute little gift shop next door. Lots of food and drink options...in fact, the only problem I had was trying to make a decision on what to order! Definitely plan to return!

Great portions, but a tad pricey and takes a while. Ordered the bfast bowl, the mondo, and two coffees.

I have heard great things about this cafe, so I thought I'd give it a try. Their menu is a little confusing, but they have cards available at the counter that breaks it down. I went with the special of the day frappe. It was amazing! One size only, a little on the pricier size, but worth it! Only quandary was that my straw (paper) was soggy within 10 min of drinking is. Will be back to try this food next.

Amanda at lucky penny is hands down the best barista! I normally stop in once a week and I hardly ever know what flavors I'm feeling for the day so I normally let her choose. Today she did toasted marshmallow and butter pecan with a chocolate cold foam made with white espresso (she knows that's my fav) My coworker who has never been before wanted something iced, sweet and pumpkin. Amanda mixed up a salted caramel and toasted marshmallow with pumpkin cold foam and my coworker said it was the best coffee she's ever had! Everyone go and ask for my girl Amanda
