The Luigans Spa & Resort (Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Too many foreign visitors never see more of Japan than Tokyo plus maybe a quick jaunt to Osaka or at most Kyoto. But it pays, when seeking out a new travel destination, to find out where the locals go on holiday. And in the Japan’s case, one of the answers is Kyushu, the most southwestern of the four main islands — here the climate is milder, almost tropical, and on the north end the mountains and valleys are traded in for calm seas and sandy beaches." - Tablet Hotels

1. Location- The location is perfect for those who want to visit marine world (3 mins by walk) & seaside park (10mins by walk)- However, it's 22~40mins by car to the city- I took a taxi near Momobeach (Fukuoka Hilton) to here at night, it cost around 9,000 yen - Convinient store is 37mins far from the hotel by walk2. Staff & Service - Staffs were very kind. Especially, I was in emmergency situation, one of staff helped me to call ambulance and supported me. (Deeply appreciated for the help)3. Breakfast & Lounge- The handmade onigiri was amazing! - Lounge service was good.I'll definitely visit Fukuoka because of the resort service. This hotel was more than worthy.

Decent rooms and breakfast buffet, good location within a national park. Only around half the staff speak a moderate level of english so can be a little difficult to communicate at times. Lack of maintenance on parts of the deck, should be fixed for guest safety. The most disappointing part of our stay is we were never informed of the free shuttle bus, we caught the train both ways. I even enquired about catching the ferry back and the free shuttle bus was never mentioned, given we are travelling with a baby this is a huge oversight by the staff and resort. We only became aware of as we saw it drive past as we are walking to the train station with heavy luggage...

hotel facilities are a bit old, but room is okay. i did not have the opportunity to try their breakfast buffet, but they have a range of activities e.g. group meditation, yoga etc. for those who wish to relax. electric scooters and bikes are also available. the resort is in close proximity to a aquarium, as well as a sprawling seaside/harbourfront park. do not expect much from the onsen, as it is small and seems to be just a hot tub of water instead of a traditional onsen. the pool was one of the main attractive points of the hotel, but it was disappointing to find out that it was closed and would not be opened until July. it is also in the middle of nowhere, so the location is not ideal if you do not have a car. however, the decor is quite nice and is reminiscent of resorts/villas in Thailand. it does not really rise up to what is expected of a 4 star hotel, but okay if you are here for a longer stay and purely wish to stay within the perimeters of the resort. p.s. pls add notepads to the guest rooms as they are a staple amenity.

Good service and environment. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed the stay. It is close to the park and the location is convenient by car (not far from Fukuoka/Hakata)

Great hotel with nice staff. Location is great for those who prefer the road trip. Free hotel car park nearby. Delicious buffet is provided by hotel during breakfast time. The hotel is just next to the 水族館 & Park with few minutes walking distance.

Huge room. Big bathtub. Free onsen. Nice environment. Free parking. I will definitely be back here in future. The only thing may be that it is not so near fukuoka city centre. So beat to be driving..

The room is clean and spacious for four - enough for two double and two king-size bed. Our room is facing East so can watch sunrise from the bed.
