The Lumiares Hotel & Spa

We absolutely loved our stay! The staff were friendly and helpful. They were communicative in advance of and during our stay. They coordinated a complimentary airport transfer, which was such a nice way to arrive. Our room was ready even though we arrived in the morning, so we were able to get settled and freshen up for our first day in Lisbon. The surrounding area is historic and lovely with lots of cafes and nightlife—but the soundproofing of the rooms is great, we slept so well! The spa was also very nice: we had lovely massages. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was such a nice experience: beautiful view with kind servers and delicious food. We would absolutely stay here again! Loved it!

The Lumiares was the perfect combination of high end customer service, comfortable bedding and designer interiors, in the perfect spot from which to do and see Lisbon. Located a few steps from the Gloria Furnicular and one of the best Miradouros, we felt like we were in the heart of the city. There are tons of bars that get quite lively in the blocks surrounding the hotel, but we heard none of these from our hotel room. ||Tips: the Lumi rooftop breakfast is the perfect way to start the morning! Also great for a sunset drink. And the 1st floor pizza restaurant (Mercarro) was fun, hip and had the best pizza!

My stay was absolutely fantastic. The staff were enthusiastic about giving recommendations on things to do in the city and were helpful with advice on transportation. They checked in with us constantly to make sure we were enjoying our stay. There are copious amounts of great restaurants and bars in the area. The rooftop has an amazing view and the drinks at the bar were amazing. The pizzeria attached also had some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. We had an “apartment” with two rooms and a small kitchen. The fridge was stocked with plenty of water. The rooms were cleaned several times per day. Overall, excellent hotel.

Our stay was perfect from the moment we arrived. The staff are all so caring and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend staying here. It’s fantastic value, in a wonderful vibrant location. ||The rooftop bar and restaurant has wonderful views and delicious food and cocktails to add to the experience.

Definitely an amazing experience end to end! Second time back to Lisbon on this trip and wish we had found this incredibly beautiful and amazing boutique hotel the first time! Amazing staff, we had a suite which was just perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Great roof top bar and parking downstairs a bonus! Only challenge was finding the way to the parking but we got there!

Our stay here has been absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and care by the staff—everyone has been incredibly kind, professional, and attentive throughout our visit.||The hotel is spotless, beautifully maintained, and located in a very safe and peaceful area where not all cars are allowed to pass, which makes it feel extra secure and calm. It’s right in the heart of Lisbon, with breathtaking views and endless things to do nearby. There are plenty of fantastic restaurants, cafés, and bars just a short walk away, making it easy to enjoy the city’s vibrant culture and nightlife.||One of the best features is the funicular located just across the street, which takes you straight down to the main avenues—so there’s no need to hike up Lisbon’s famously steep streets. Also, just across the way, there’s a beautiful historic church well worth visiting.||This place truly exceeded all our expectations. We’re beyond grateful for the experience, and when we return to Lisbon, we’ll definitely be staying here again. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

Beautiful 5 star hotel with the benefit of also being a full spacious apartment with kitchen. Staff is all lovely, breakfast is luxurious and delicious. We had the best time exploring Lisbon with our little kids, and could walk everywhere we wanted to go from this location. Will stay here when we hopefully visit Lisbon again.
