Beautiful landscaping and multiple gardening styles are packed here in very modest acreage of the site. This place has a special vibe, its color scheme reminds me of gardens / house of Claude Monet in Giverny. There is plenty of street parking in front of the house. Definitely a destination to visit on its own in South Fork.

We visited this wonderful. peaceful, full of grace garden on Sept 22, 2023. Tacked away in the very beautiful neighborhood, this garden was designed to make you feel rejuvenated. All your senses are involved in this petit wonder. Because we came from Brooklyn, we combined this visit with Bridge Gardens, another amazing wonder about 10 min of drive from Madoo.

Awesome place for some relaxing moment. Great spot to take your kids for some outdoor, no screen nature time. You should do this. Highly recommend.

Went in November and admittedly didn't expect to see anything too crazy as far as the plants, but the area itself is beautiful all around. It's slightly tucked away and not as big as one may expect but the decor inside and throughout makes it a beautiful place to see. I was most disappointed because we arrived with our dog and then read on the sign that they're not permitted inside, but understandably so. So we snapped some pictures and got some overhead drone footage and headed out, not to the discredit of the conservancy though.

A little hidden gem. We unfortunately went when it was raining. Would have loved to take better pictures without our hoods on and umbrellas but its a gorgeous little place to walk around and check out

Yelp
Artist and gardener Robert Dash has created an edenic garden that seems to defy the distribution of space. The Madoo Conservancy presents a microcosm that flows along walking paths through different aspects of the 2-acre plot of land, all the while focusing on the plant life that Dash has cultivated since the garden's conception in 1967. Dash's garden presents a fundamental attitude -- plants are the dominating forms, structures are secondary. Madoo is a space ever changing, with seasons, new plantings, and repainting of outdoor furniture and structures to reflect the magnificent horticulture that thrives here. The garden is open every Wednesday and Saturday from the beginning of May until the end of September, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Admission is $10.00, which fee is used for the garden maintenance. Photographs are permitted; strollers, dogs, children under the age of 6 are not. Separate tours may be arranged for groups of 10 or more.

Yelp
What a beautiful garden to visit. Every vacation I go on, I try and visit the local botanical garden. I was so glad I found out about the Madoo Conservancy as it was the perfect activity for our last day in the area. It was peaceful, lush and full of little surprises. We found little areas here and there along the path. I loved all the pops of color throughout the garden. I would love to return. If you are in the area, this is a must visit.
