"Like TriceraTop Spin, this basic spinning ride is replicated at many theme parks, and other versions on property offer a bit more excitement. Watch out for the spitting camel!" - Travel + Leisure Editors

Google
Great ride for the kiddos! It's conveniently right next to the dole whip stand for a treat while you wait. It spins in a circle, and there's a camel that will try to spit on you.. That's about it! It's worth doing if the like is like 35 minutes or so. More than that, maybe not. It's also in direct sunlight, so it can be a bit abrasive in the summer

Cathy Holman

Google
Great ride. Try to ride every time we come to the Magic Kingdom. The weather is perfect today so all the rides have lines. This one us worth the wait. Not a nad idea to fast pass. #Magic #Aladin #ride #tickets #lightninglane

Google
My kids enjoyed flying and trying to avoid the spitting camels. One thing guests should remember is that even though the Magic Kingdom has two other similar rides in Dumbo and the Astro Orbiter, each one is unique in style. But each one creates memories that will last a lifetime.

Jaxsen

Google
Unnecessary filler attraction at Magic Kingdom, when there are two other rides in the same park that are THE EXACT SAME (Dumbo, Astro orbiters). Magic Kingdom already has plenty of experiences and rides that could take an entire day, or even two to get them all done, so I don’t even know what the point was to add this. It’s not a complete trash ride, but it doesn’t offer anything that’s even remotely memorable.

Shukhrat Maks

Google
Nice ride, especially when you are with kids and toddlers. They really enjoyed the ride. You can also control ups and downs for a little bit.

Google
Toilets across from Aladdin’s magic carpet ride. Cozy stalls that feel more private. Perfect for a #2 (which is often difficult in vacation far from regular schedules). Change tables for babies are conveniently located. An older bathroom at the Magic Kingdom but kept clean.

Gabriella

Google
Such a fun ride, especially with little kids, that doesn’t have a long wait line. You are able to control the carpet to go up and down which is quite fun. The ride itself is a little short, but is still enjoyable. A great way to get a different view of Adventureland or after riding Jungle Cruise!

Cool Kid

Google
A nice, fun, and most certainly chill ride.

Yelp
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin is located in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom in Disney World. We ended up getting a Genie+ reservation for the Magic Carpets of Aladdin ride after our journey on the Jungle Cruise. We waited less than 5 minutes to jump on the Magic Carpets! It's a slow, spinning ride for all ages! You get to climb aboard a 4 passenger flying rug. If you're sitting in the front row, you get to move the carpet up and down. If you're sitting on the second row, pressing the magic scarab allows you to tip your flying carpet forward or backward. It has a great view of the park area in Adventureland. It's a quick ride! I wouldn't recommend waiting more than 20 minutes for it, though. There usually is no wait time for this ride during the early mornings or later in the evening.

Felicia R.

Yelp
Super cute kids ride, but we are kids over 30 years old... so I recommend coming to the park later at night when the kids have gone to bed so you can ride all the outdoor rides without the heat and sun and less children waiting in front of you!! I've always seen this ride but first time going on it. There's a controller joystick that can bring your magic carpet up and down!!

Brian F.

Yelp
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin is located in the Adventureland section of Magic Kingdom. The ride spins in circles and you can control it going up and down. There was some water splash but was just a simple ride. It's very similar to the ride Dumbo the Flying Elephant also in Magic Kingdom but Aladdin-themed.

Joseph G.

Yelp
The magic carpets of Aladdin is a Disney World magic kingdom ride that places you on a carpet ride that you can push to and up or down position while moving in a circular motion. The ride is a All ages and sizes attraction and is pretty simple. On the outsides the ride features camels that will randomly spit water and if your have maneuvered your carpet to the right height at the right time you may catch a glimmer to get a little wet. Located in the Adventureland portion of magic kingdom this is a quick and decent ride that never has too much of a wait. Maybe ten minutes at the most. Overall solid ride that the young kiddos always seem to enjoy. Always good to have rides that all sizes and ages can participate on as well.

Megan L.

Yelp
This is fun but I don't think it's worth a long wait. It's also directly in the sun with no shade. It can get you a little sick if you're sensitive to motion sickness.

Rachelle P.

Yelp
We love the movie Aladdin both cartoon and live action and this is an enjoyable ride! My daughter just had a blast steering us up and down in the air like a Magic Carpet, trying to be in competition with my fiancé lol! I would highly recommend exploring a whole new world or should I say ride with your family and we'll definitely be returning to ride again!

Niki B.

Yelp
Dare I say that this version of the classic Dumbo ride is even better than the original?! This one has a huge spitting camel that shoots cool water at riders -- a pleasant break from the scorching heat. The music is fun and festive and the line never seems to be too long. You can also control your carpet and go up or down as the ride proceeds.

Kara M.

Yelp
As an adult, I am probably not the target audience for this ride. However, there was no wait for it on the day we visited the park and the nearby tiki show didn't start for another ten minutes. We decided to jump on this ride to kill time. You ride in a cart designed to look like a magic carpet. Throughout the ride you go up and down mostly at your own control. This ride does not last very long, so I wouldn't recommend waiting in line for it longer than ten to fifteen minutes. This ride was a great place to grab some aerial photos of the tiki room. Nice ride for little kids though, nothing too wild or bumpy will be found on the magic carpets.

Benjamin T.

Yelp
For a dolled up classic this ride is fun for kids and adults. The views of Adventureland and the castle are awesome. Grab a dole whip and wait in line. The camel also spits so be careful.

Art T.

Yelp
My scarab didn't work, so my carpet didn't tilt up or down as advertised. Still, it was fun enough, at least for a three-year-old. Older patrons might get a kick out of it. You get to look out over a lot of the park, so it's nice for a view and a change of pace. It's not going to win any awards for thrill-seekers or coaster junkies, of course. Great for the kids, but probably not worth more than a 10 minute wait. It's just not that impressive of a ride overall. Still fun, still a great experience for the too-short-to-ride-Barnstormer crowd, though, so for that group, it's a must-do.

Rob M.

Yelp
Would I use a fast pass on this? No. This is time filler. The kid factor: GRADE B. Young kids will love this. You do have the option of controlling the carpet's rise and descent. The line, ease of boarding, staff, and atmosphere: GRADE B. Most days the wait shouldn't be terribly long. The ride overall / final thoughts: GRADE C-. My problem with this ride is that it was only a 1 min 30 second run time. Yes I timed it. Wouldn't be worth any kind of significant wait.

Aly W.

Yelp
This ride is so underrated. It gets compared unfavorably to Dumbo, but I actually like it better. After all, there's room for more people, and not only can you go up and down, but it has a sort of waviness to it that really drives the theme home. Not a thrill ride, but super chill and appealing. Plus this ride was responsible for a near-perfect Disney moment. We decided we wanted to keep going on rides instead of waiting for the fireworks show that people claim spots for at least two hours in advance. We also had some time to kill before our next fast pass, and the line looked much shorter than the posted time of thirty minutes. We were on in ten or less, and shortly before our ride, the fireworks show began. We literally found ourselves watching fireworks from a magic carpet while A Whole New World played. Totally unplanned, and such a special moment that took only a few minutes to create compared to all the time we would have otherwise wasted. Yeah, you miss out on the castle projections, but if you're impatient or you've seen the show and want a new experience, this is the way to go. Another moment that had me missing my husband, as cheesy as it is.

John L. H.

Yelp
Kids love this ride. Located in the Magic Kingdom, This ride is very similar to the Dumbo ride, but usually has less wait. The ride consists of "magic carpets" which are spun in a circle slowly. Riders can make the carpets go up and down using the lever inside the carpet. The ride is slow and suitable for all ages. Note: you may want to have an adult control the lever unless you like constantly going up and down. Kids can't help themselves.

Shalonda G.

Yelp
Great ride for toddlers and parents alike! We took our 2.5 yr old girls on the ride and they enjoyed it. Not only do you ride in a Magic Carpet, but you also get to control whether your carpet goes up or down (at least if you're in the front row).

Jennifer A.

Yelp
Make sure to play "a whole new world" on your phone and sing when you're on the top. You can never be too old for this. My husband and I kept moving our carpet up and down as we sang along with my teen sister and her bff in the carpet behind us.

Tim K.

Yelp
Cool quick ride at Magic Kingdom, good for little ones and adults alike. Ride lasts about 3 minutes. The front and back seats have a lever that allows either vertical adjustment or forward and backward rocking at the rider's control (albeit subtle / gentle) There's a camel that shoots water - your child / Neice / nephew will likely adjust the height of the ride to be sure you're in the line of fire. :)

Pamela D.

Yelp
This line up took forever. Ran out of fast passes and this one was super popular for the little kids. Worth the wait but it's a hard slog for a three year old in the hot sun to wait as this one is all outside. Definitely great fun for little kids once they get to the front of the line up. It's fun and there is a camel that spits water at you so watch out.

Nestor Z.

Yelp
Smooth and slow ride fun for the entire family. From toddlers to adults get to enjoy this attraction. Family of four can easily fit with front row controlling how high you go and the rear passengers making it wobble front to back. Good ride to fill in your day at the Magic Kingdom!

Derek P.

Yelp
I like the location of this ride, but beyond that, there isnt much for an adult on this ride. It's a mechanical ride, where you spin around in a about 50 foot circumference, with the ability to raise and lower your "magic carpet", while Aladdin music plays. This is the same ride as the Dumbo ride, so you're not getting anything new. I know kids love it, but having the same thing as another ride, which already already expanded to include two copies, doesn't do much for me. Still, should be fun to ride with your kids!

Summer C.

Yelp
I did this ride multiple times with my daughter - luckily there wasn't much of a line when we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed it! I didn't get motion sick from it either - win win haha. I love how you can "drive" your magic carpet - makes it fun for the kids and adults haha. Plus it is right by the pineapple dole whip! Woohoo!

Dianna B.

Yelp
This is Dumbo - Rethemed to Aladin. Since I was bounding as Genie,(Thanks to everyone who got it) I thought this would be the perfect ride to start my Mickey;s Not so Scary Halloween party with. Easy, the wait wasn't terrible, but watch out for those spitting camels.. They'll get ya.

Hank C.

Yelp
A queue that works pretty quickly (was shorter the day we went, we saw an entire area that would be used on busier weekends), and they give you a number to walk over. Fits four people (two front, two back), the mechanism to move the carpet up and down was up front, and if you want to avoid the camel "spitting", go high all the time. Less of a view, but better experience with a working carpet.

Bradley W.

Yelp
The only reason this ride gets three stars is because of its size. The dumbo ride is the same design with double the room for riders. You really have to be an Aladdin fan to stick with this ride

Cynthia R.

Yelp
The magic carpet of Aladdin. Where my child enjoys every movement. When going up and down.

LOIS B.

Yelp
I'm a fan because the younger children can ride it and not be frightened. It is the same premise as some of the other rides, but so what. From reading the reviews I discovered that there used to be a control stick in both the back and front seats. That is no longer the case. Only the front can control the up or down movement of the carpet. It is simple and 4 people can ride one carpet. Shorter lines that way.

Nicole N.

Yelp
Very much like the Dumbo rides in Fl and Ca. A fun, little, family ride. You ride your magic carpet in a circle and one (or two) rider/s get to control the up and down movement of the magic carpet. If you arrived in Florida by ship or plane, I'm sure you can manage this ride, but if you are really susceptible to motion sickness from repeated circles, I advise you take some non-drowsy dramamine. But little kids will love this attraction.

Faye M.

Yelp
This is a fun ride ~ similar to the dumbo ride, but on magic carpets! If you're walking in the area, beware...the camels spit water at people! I heard that there's someone controlling the water spitting, but when my BF and I were waiting for my brother and nephew to meet us, the camel was spitting at random times and at nothing in particular too! You can get some great views from the ride, which could make for some nice shots or video clips, especially on a clear sunny day!

Juan M.

Yelp
Nephew loved this ride and I loved taking him on it. There's a lever in the middle for the rider to control when to go up and down. At night time, there's practically a 5 minute wait which is amazing for the Magic Kingdom.

Louisa M.

Yelp
This is such a fun ride at Disney World. It's a cooler version of Dumbo where you pilot flying "magic carpets" instead of elephants. Sit in the front seat to control how high the carpet flies and sit in the back to make it tilt front and back. Fun for kids and adults and the line is never too long. Watch out for the spitting camel too! If you go up just at the right moment, you can time it so your friend riding in the back will get wet.

Anthony M.

Yelp
I KNOW DUMBO! And sir this is no Dumbo Ride but my little one still wants to wait in line for over an hour to go in a circle for 1 and half minutes...could this ride be any shorter!!! You go in a circle and you have a joystick that will allow you to go up and down...very high tech if you ask me. Can you sense the sarcasm? This is like a carnival ride with the art of Disney's Alladin. It is a simple ride and all of the kids want to ride on it. I am able to talk my little one to wait until late in the evening to ride because all of the little kids get tired and go home early...that is the time to get in line, so you are not there all day!!! While her make sure you check out the spitting camel, who is located at the front of the ride. Be cautious of the wet spots on the ground or you will be meeting the camel's spit in your face or clothes...not a fun way to be greeted by a camel. I recently learned one of my Yelper friends was having a bad day and the camel spit on her and it made her happy! I call that the magic of Disney.

James B.

Yelp
All the reports are true: the Magic Carpets of Aladdin is a spinning ride that is similar, and in the same park, as the Dumbo ride. But it always has a shorter line, it's based on the Aladdin movie--which is way better than the Dumbo movie (and has its own Sega Genesis game)--it's located closer to the park entrance (a shorter walk and easier to get to), and is located in a more fun area of the park, at least for adults. While your little one spins above the market below, you can also enjoy a Dole Whip, which are sold just a few feet away. The magic carpets have seating for 4 guests at a time (more than Dumbo), rotate around a giant genie bottle, and has a spitting camel that you can try to steer yourself into. Unlike the Dumbo ride, the magic carpets also allow for more control -- if you're seated in the front row, you can direct how high or low you fly by moving the onboard lever up or down. If you're sitting in the back row, pressing the magic scarab will tip your flying carpet forward or backward. If you like the Dumbo ride, or the Triceratop Spin ride at the Animal Kingdom, you should love the Magic Carpets of Aladdin ride.

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
This ride is very similar to the Dumbo ride, only Aladdin themed. If you don't have to wait a long time for this ride go on it! As an adult I wouldn't wait a long time for the ride, but when my daughter wants to ride the "Jasmine ride" we wait (or sometimes plan a fast pass).

Amy S.

Yelp
It's such a simple ride: up into the sky and round 'n round you go. Simple or not, I really enjoy this ride. I don't ride it often, but everytime I do I have such a good time; it makes me wonder why I don't take the time to climb aboard a flying carpet more often!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Think Dumbo, but better! More people can fit on the Magic Carpet than in Dumbo, so you can enjoy the attraction with more friends and family. Plus, I like the theming better. Aladdin! But SHHH! Don't tell Dumbo - as I do still like him. This is a fantastic ride for children, especially young children. For some reason, being high in the air and going in circles are children's favorite things. There's no height limit to this attraction, so everyone can go on it - baby to grandma and grandpa. Oh, and I forgot to mention, just like Dumbo, you can control the Magic Carpet by pushing the lever up or pushing the lever down.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Much like Dumbo and the rocket ships. Each carpet has two rows that accommodate two people. Each row has a control: the front controls altitude, and the back controls the roll (side to side). The whole thing last maybe 90 seconds. Toward the end, all carpets get raised to the top and held there before coming back down. If it's at the end of the day and not busy, the Cast Members offer to let you remain in your carpet for a second ride if you so wish. And they aren't genies. Isn't that nice of them?

Pegah Y.

Yelp
SO MUCH FUN!!! I know it's a little kid ride, but I am a fanatic about just about everything Aladdin. I was so happy there's an Aladdin ride, even if it's a tiny kid ride that spins up and down. It's located in Adventureland (very near the Jungle Cruise and Tiki Room). You get to ride the "magic carpet" through the air. Watch out - the camel spits water out at you! It's a shorter ride than expected, but I still had a lot of fun. I'm sure I would have had even more fun if I was a kid. My fiance and I had a great time ;)

Michelle C.

Yelp
It's Dumbo, but with with less wait. Bonus is that it holds 4 instead of 2. Why only 4 stars... because it's not Dumbo. You haven't officially done Magic Kingdom till you had your picture taken on Dumbo.

Bo W.

Yelp
Not fastpass worthy. Your average ride for kids, goes up, spins around, comes down in about a minute and a half. the carpet has pitch control as well as altitude so I guess that's something... Don't waste your fast pass for this one.

Garrison S.

Yelp
This basically is the Dumbo ride but in a different section of the park. It also has a few modifications and I'll give you the pluses and minuses in comparison with the Dumbo ride. The Dumbo ride has better views, for sure. That's the biggest plus for the Dumbo ride. Here you still have nice views, not as good though. The controls are the same and you could control your magic carpet as high as low as you want it. It also moves around differently to a certain extent and you have a spitting camel that allows you a possibility of getting wet. Not soaked at all, just wet. It's definitely a fun ride but for some reason I liked the Dumbo ride better. Still, very good for little kids and certainly never a long wait. It is right near Pirates of the Caribbean, the jungle Cruise and the enchanted Tiki room.

John O.

Yelp
A ride for the kids. Similar to the Astro Spin and Dumbo in Magic Kingdom or the Triceratop Spin in Animal Kingdom. Control in the front to make the magic carpet go up and down, control in the back tips the car forward and backward. Well designed, otherwise boring ride for thrill-seekers. Get a good view of Adventureland. Nice little touch is one of the camels, it's facing the ride and it squires a stream of water from the mouth at riders.

Tony L.

Yelp
If the line is under 20 minutes for The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, then you should definitely give it a go. The carpets hold 4 guests (as opposed to only 2 on Dumbo). They not only move up and down like other similar rides, but they also tilt as if they are actual flying carpets. The front seat makes has a joystick that makes you move up and down while the back seat has one that makes you tilt...so if you are only a pair, make sure you sit in the front!

Alicia S.

Yelp
It's a good ride because my son could go it but there is not very many rides he can. It's nice but it's exactly like dumbo

Jennifer L.

Yelp
This is a great ride. This ride is like Dumbo but on a flying carpet. If you sit in the front you can fly higher or lower, You can also tip the carpet if you sit in the back. It is great ride for all ages.
