5 Stars – A Fantastic Stay at The Magnolia Hotel||I stayed at The Magnolia Hotel in Quinta do Lago with two friends from Monday to Friday, and we each had our own separate rooms. From start to finish, the experience was excellent.||The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate, well air-conditioned, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Daily cleaning was available as often as you wanted, and the fridge in each room was a nice touch for keeping drinks cold.||The location is spot on—peaceful, yet close to all the action in Quinta do Lago. There’s loads of parking, which made things easy, and the facilities inside the hotel are top notch. The gym is fully equipped and air-conditioned, the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi were all great, and although we didn’t use it, there’s even a games/playroom.||Food was excellent and the outdoor bar area deserves a special mention—the bar staff there were fantastic and really added to the laid-back, friendly atmosphere.||If I had to give any suggestions for improvement, I’d say that events like movie nights or poolside barbecues weren’t very well advertised—it would’ve been great to know more about what was happening on-site. Also, having slippers in the room and a few more clothes hangers would have been helpful.||Overall though, I had a brilliant time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Magnolia Hotel. I’d definitely stay there again!

Stayed at many hotels just need to stay the hotel cleanliness atmosphere experience was great but staff here are truly amazing.|Very friendly helpful always available to serve etc |Sergio, Tomas, Ravi in the bar / restaurant were excellent, Norbert on reception very welcoming as was Miguel who answered any queries we had quickly and efficiently. The girls at breakfast always had a smile and ensured we were looked after but most of all Maggie in the bar/restaurant was cheerful amiable and very helpful a pleasure to meet you and thank you for ensuring we had a good stay. |We hope to come back and visit soon we will not stay anywhere else now that we have found Magnolia ❤️

Good, basic bed and breakfast hotel, well located for all golf courses and several good restaurants. Standard plus room, ground floor, no terrace to speak of but great air con, very clean, and a good shower. No kettles in the room. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and good. The pool area has enough sun beds but very little shade, the plastic grass in some parts very hot to walk on. Pool clean and large. The bar area is adequate, the chairs and tables very basic. Service always good. Lunch and dinner menu extremely limited, this really is a bed and breakfast place. I thought it perfect for us as we played golf on most days, went to a beach bar called the Shack on days that were free and ate out every evening. Uber is great for getting about.

First impressions not too good. But this quaint boutique hotel grew on me. Staff super friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was very good. Rooms werefunctional and cleaned every day. Only complaint was no kettle and tea and coffee sachets. Pool was very small but never crowded so it served its purpose. Probably would return if I was in area again.

We booked our reservation based on the 4 star rating and the lovely video/ad for the hotel. Expecting a 4 star experience with all the amenities within a resort we were very disappointed. Upon arrival the feel of the hotel is very much like a “motel” experience in the US with small rooms, limited views of the parking areas or chain link fence in upgraded rooms. upon check in we realized we were more part of a men’s golfing resort and not the luxury 4 star we expected. Felt the ad was very misleading as to what was going to be available to us in a resort setting….this hotel is situated right on the main road, not part of a complex of shops, amenities,no sidewalks available to walk to shops, restaurants..scrambled to find alternate accommodation for the last 3 nights of our vacation to Portugal. The Conrad did not disappoint

Very friendly hotel. Slightly inland and beautifully calm and peaceful -and just a short drive from everywhere. Very clean and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Good facilities.

I committed the error of booking directly from their website. I paid double the price thinking it was a luxury gateway. A grave error! Not only were they more expensive then recognized international hotels but upon checking several things were not working. Be careful with superb websites and misleading gorgeous pictures. On top of that they refused to refund the remaining nights that I didnt stay there. Although i checked out the next days and still had 4 nights booked. Not even a commercial gesture on their part. Please carefully check everything before booking. Ask questions. And NEVER book from their website.

We booked our stay based on the promises made on the website, expecting a comfortable, four-star hotel experience. What we got was the complete opposite. Upon arrival, we were shocked to find that the property resembled a basic roadside motel, not the upscale experience we had anticipated. The issues started immediately: • The room had a noticeable, unpleasant odor. • Instead of the king bed we booked, there were two single beds. • The pool area was incredibly underwhelming and nothing like the photos. • The location is unsafe for walking—you’re right next to a busy road with fast-moving traffic, making it nearly impossible to explore nearby shops on foot. To make matters worse, the staff became noticeably unhelpful and dismissive once they realized we were unhappy and considering other accommodations. There was no real effort to address our concerns or help us transition elsewhere. I would absolutely not recommend staying here. Save your money and your vacation—look elsewhere.
