I just had my house deep cleaned by the Purple Team from The Maids, and they were absolutely fantastic! Friendly, thorough, and incredibly efficient - they made everything feel fresh and brand new. My husband and I had been on the fence about hiring a cleaning service, but after this experience, we’re 100% glad we did. I can’t recommend the Purple Team enough - you won’t be disappointed! We’re already looking forward to having them back regularly.

The Maids of Boston Green Team is absolutely awesome! They are detail-oriented, thorough, reliable & hardworking. They’ve cleaned my home for about 15 years & they have also cleaned my rental properties, as well as property being prepped for sale. They are the best! They are also wonderful people. The Maids are great! Love the Red Team. They're very friendly and super fast! In and out of my 2 bedroom in an hour. They were so thorough, vacuuming my ceilings and walls for any stray cobwebs or dust. Made me love them so much more :D

Our team is has been a friendly and blessedly accommodating group! We’ve got 2 working parents, 2 kids, 1 huge heavy shedding dog, a rabbit and too few hours in the day. We’re grateful for The Maids’ hard work and willingness to flex around or schedule and specific household needs.

$300 wasted on a service with four staff in my 400 sq ft apartment for over an hour and I still had to reclean the place. They offered to come back and reclean but why would I 1) wait the multiple days for an appointment 2) trust them after it couldn't be done correctly the first time

My roomate and I had really let our apartment go over the past year. We wernt awful, it was a relatively tidy space. But between the two of us and my dog, the apartment started getting quite grimy. We attempted to deep clean ourselves a few times but never got beyond surface level. Eventually we knew it was time to call in The Maids. They came in, we told them what we were looking for, I sequestered myself and my dog into my room, and when I came out two hours later it was to a changed home. The floor was bright and spotless, the counters gleaming. I've never seen my shower so ivory white, it was almost alarming. There was a pleasant smell in the air, not one of those awful chemical smells but a true freshness to the air. Grime that I was convinced would have needed a jackhammer to break through had been cleared away by the practiced hands and skills of The Maids. Team Purple was polite, efficient, and speedy without rushing through anything. I highly recommend this service, we now have a clean apartment which will be far easier to keep clean.

We could not be happier with The Maids Yellow team! They are really wonderful. I broke my leg this August and it has been months of recovery. We were really getting behind in cleaning and the Yellow Team really saved the day. We actually enjoy housecleaning but having them come has been a game changer. They clean stuff we don't always get to--like baseboards. They are so quick and friendly. It was an excellent decision to hire them.

I started a regular cleaning schedule as I have listed my apartment for sale. The initial service was wonderful although the apartment was rather clean. The weekly maintenance cleanings became progressively shorter, initially 30 minutes down to 25 and finally 20 minutes. Baseboards were not dusted. The tops of tables and chairs were dusted but they stopped dusting the legs. Seems they couldn't get out fast enough. I called to cancel one week as I hadn't been in the apartment at all that week and I was told that the next week would be considered a bi-weekly cleaning and I would have to pay more. Diminishing, incomplete service with increasing price? no thank you. Follow up: See the below response from Maids suggesting we talk in person. I wrote the review AFTER I had already spoken with someone in person. There was no offer to give attention to the areas of disappointment, the only offer was to increase the cost of my next cleaning as I had to skip a week when nobody was home.

STOLEN ITEMS!! My expensive face cream and favorite sunglasses were stolen!!!! I am appalled that this happened and will never use or trust this company again. In response to the company below, I was a guest at a house where the Maids were used. My host opted not to say anything for fear the wrong person might be accused or fired. There were 4 people cleaning at the time.

I have just started using The Maids, after my lady of 11 years retired. I have been very happy with the work the Yellow Team has done in my home. The ladies are always on time and very pleasant. They work quickly and the house is spotless when they leave.

Very unprofessional and dishonest estimate price range when odering the service! Will unreasonablely claim higher price after the cleaning. Will NOT recommend such dishonest service provider to anyone.

If there were 10 stars, I would check them!!! The Maids team just left my dusty back bay apartment, clean, bright and shiny!!! I stepped out while they were working their magic, and came into a transformed space. The dust bunnies here seem to multiply daily, despite my trying to keep up. The ladies moved our beds around (hardwood floors help), and got every speck of dirt and dust that was there. Upon leaving, they asked me to check around to make sure that all was good, and it was. Just before they walked out the door one of the ladies saw something on the floor, that I couldn't see, and made sure she picked it all up. In my previous home in CA, I used different maid services, that really only cleaned or dusted what was at eye level. This team truly took pride in their work. I hope I can keep the place a little cleaner for them when I see them in 2 weeks!

I love Judy and her team ! Everybody has some particular areas of the house which have to be clean. Once Judy knows where they are, she communicates her team making sure it is always clean. I have a dog with terrible skin allergy, but never have any problems of the cleaning products they use. Also they are very friendly with me and my dog.

It gets even worse! Not only did Particia's team steal $2400 from me, but they charged me for the cleaning. Truly unbelievable. DO NOT USE THE MAIDS.

I have only had excellent experiences with the Maids of Boston. As a property manager in a luxury condominium in the city I have only heard lovely comments about the level of service and professionalism of all individuals of the team from over 20 residents. Highly recommended!

I'm getting ready to sell my condo and lets just say it's been a long time since it had a good deep cleaning. The Maids provided a very reasonable estimate for the work and were available right away. As it turns out, I may have been a liiiiiiiiittle too conservative in my description of how grimy my place was. They called me to let me know that the job was taking longer than expected, that they got an extra person to come help, and confirmed I was ok with the extra time/cost. The new cost was well within my budget, and the results I saw when I got home made it all worth it. My place looks so good, I almost hate to sell it! Reasonable cost, great availability, friendly employees, and outstanding results. Can't ask for much more than that.

I have had the Maids come every other week for the past year, and have only had positive experiences. My apartment always is very clean and smells great after they come. Overall a solid option if you are looking for a regular cleaning service in the city.

The Green Team came yesterday to clean up after a chimney sweep filled my place with soot. They did a terrific job and were nice, professional, efficient, and quick. I'd definitely use them again.

The Maids have been cleaning my house for several years. They always send an email the day before as a reminder and let me know appropriate time of arrival. They do a good job and are quite fast as 3-4 people come at once. The cost gets deducted from my credit card after they clean which makes payment simple.

The Maids of Boston is worth every penny and the YELLOW TEAM is terrific! The team of 4 brings their own supplies and are able to clean from top to bottom in a fraction of the time it would take me to do it. Patricia, the owner, is extremely responsive and always willing to adjust the visits to accommodate my schedule. I highly recommend The Maids of Boston!

The maids of Boston have been cleaning my home for many many years. They do a perfect job every time. Not one problem in all those years!! They are extremely professional, trustworthy and friendly-a joy always! They leave my home sparkling! In management Mariana and Patricia are extremely helpful and accommodating at all times. I recommend them highly!!

The Yellow team has been cleaning our house for a couple of years. They are fabulous! They send a reminder email the day before. The team always does a thorough cleaning, including a lot of wooden blinds, not easy. Stainless steel appliances sparkle. Our home is spotless and no 'icky' product odors, just clean. Best of all I never worry. Yellow team is awesome and thorough. and Angie is the best!

I loved the Maids! They did such a wonderful job and were so friendly. I had never used them before, but my co-worker highly recommended them and I was so glad I tried The Maids! I will definitely be using them again in the future! :)

The maids they send you usually do a very good job but the people you have to deal with at the company are not worth the frustration! My maids missed one thing and then when I called the main office they were rude to me, didn't offer any resolution and didn't apologize or offer to give a slight discount due to them missing something fairly important! Their prices are very high so the slightest mistake is annoying given how much you're paying; also after asking the maids they barely make minimum wage so that was frustrating given how much they charge you by the hour, which is very expensive. I mean like expensive enough that everything should be perfect when they leave. They also have no way to allow you to easily charge the service, but instead make you call the rude people at the office to charge your "service". I will not be using again!

I'm very particular about cleaning and was slightly reluctant to work with a team to come into our home, but my husband and I decided to give it a try with The Maids over a year ago and we are thrilled by the quality and consistency. The Red Team has been visiting us weekly or bi-weekly for almost a year now and they do such a great job. It's so great to come home to a clean house and the management team is always willing to work with our schedule to adjust timing and visits. It's well worth the investment.

I've never personally met Patricia of The Maids but her contact and follow up before and shortly after each cleaning for 6 months was very thorough. The prices and terms were negotiable to some extent. Other than one occasion they arrived as scheduled and I was billed correctly. I live in a large Victorian so the inital cleaning was very involved but but they didn't charge me more than the initial estimate. The follow up cleanings keep getting a little less and less complete but it's an easy fix with a phone call. Overall, it's what I expect for the money.

The Maids have done a great job cleaning my good-sized, pet-inhabited apartment that had not had a thorough deep-clean in an embarrassingly long time. Mariana and Patricia have been professional, courteous, and reliable in my interactions with them. They deliver as promised, and are polite and friendly in the process - looking forward to coming home to a much cleaner apartment from now on!

I hired The Maids to clean 15 windows and a couple of very large mirrors. Negotiations with Lorena were easy, price was reasonable and in accordance with estimate. Victor and Benarda did an excellent job and were a pleasure to have in the house. They finished in under two hours what would have taken me two weeks (one a day, plug away, and probably give up after 4-5 days!). They were thorough and conscientious -- only missed a couple of spots which weren't evident until much later in the day when the sun had moved to a different angle. These were easy enough to touch up. Very pleased with the service, highly recommend.

My regular cleaners left Boston so I decided to try The MAIDS as a replacement. I live in a large studio apartment that normally cost $80 to clean. I was told the initial cost would be $145 and each month after that it would be lower. The cleaning was fine and I have no complaints but I got the exact same job for $80 from my old cleaners The reason I give 1 star is because they charged my credit card $260. Yes, $260!!!! When i called to complain they said it took extra time and that is their standard hourly rate. I was never made aware of their hourly rate and I was also told they would check with me before my card was charged. In my opinion, The MAIDS are extremely over priced and you can get a much better deal elsewhere. My other issue is that they didn't take out the trash. I had specifically requested they remove the garbage and even gave them instructions ahead of time. I returned to to a full bag of garbage sitting in the middle of my kitchen.

Terrible cleaning service. No regard for personal belongings. They broke things in my home repeatedly. Cleaning was minimal.I had to re-clean everything! Charged me for more time than they spent in my home. Overall, disgraceful. Run don't walk away from this service.

The Maids did a one time move out clean for me yesterday, and they did an EXCELLENT job. Everything is spotless, and the four person crew cleaned my 6 room, 2 story apartment in 1.5 hours. I would highly recommend the Maids, and as another reviewer mentioned, it seems like a lot of improvements have been made since the prior negative reviews. Mariana is friendly and professional, and they have a good thing going here.

The Maids have been cleaning my office for a few months now. I've found them to be exceptionally responsive and easy to work with. They have been very communicative with updates regarding services, and both Mariana and Patricia have personally stopped in to review their work and ensure we are satisfied. They disclosed from the beginning that the first one or two cleanings would be more expensive than the weekly rate which is understandable, since it took nearly two months for me to find a replacement for our original cleaning company. After collecting three estimates, The Maids earned our bid due to their efficiency, professionalism, follow-up, flexibility with our hours of operation, and a price that was considerably lower than other companies. I'd recommend their services without reservation, and guess that they've done a lot to increase their level of service since the previous Yelp reviews were all from 2011/2012.

Disappointing services of the maids in the house. I availed of one hour service and they did 3.5 bathrooms. The maids finished the bathrooms 20 minutes early and I requested that they do what they can clean in the kitchen but they said they were only instructed to do the bathrooms. Imagine $180 for 3 bathrooms! The cleaners were just chatting in the remaining minutes. The one hour cleaning of the bathrooms was disappointing. I expected a professional deep cleaning service and the bathrooms were left dirty. I am not happy with the services and the way it was handled by the manager, I talked to the Lorena and requested for recleaning since they guaranteed customer service satisfaction but she was rude and said its just right because I only availed of one hour. I was hoping to get a fixed schedule of cleaning from the maids in the future so I tried it for the first time but now I will not recommend it to anyone. Rude people and mediocre service

I'd advise not to let these people into your home. We had The Maids come do a thorough cleaning of our condo in advance of our putting it on the market this coming weekend. Their fee was a whopping $196 per hour and included washing all the windows. I was not able to be at the condo when they were cleaning but I went there 1.5 hours after they left to check on their work and found the front and back doors unlocked, and all but three windows unlocked and most of them were left slightly ajar. Additionally, one of the windows seems to be broken and is now jammed open about 3 inches. I have spoken to the business owner and have met with her in person and she has denied leaving anything open/unlocked, has blamed other people (like our realtor and contractors, of which we have none) for coming in after they cleaned and unlocking everything. She also said our window must have been broken before they got there. She said to me, "It sounds like you are looking for a discount" and she also laughed and acted like it wasn't a big deal that the whole place was left wide open. As if that wasn't enough, the floors are still dirty with actual dirt and debris and she said, "Well, that's just dust that settles." I took the recommendation from my realtor and wish I had read all these reviews first! Hopefully other people will do research before choosing a house cleaner and please head the warnings and DO NOT let this company into your home.

ZERO stars. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!! They lie, do a horrible job, and charge a ridiculous amount of money. I was stuck in California on a business trip, called them the day before to cancel, they showed up at my place anyway and took my house key from my concierge, and barely did any work. They quoted me 2 people for 2 hours at a flat fee of $150. When I arrived at home that evening, I found my place disorganized, dirty, things were broken or missing, and they had put all my clean and dirty clothes in trash bags. Definitely not the 100% guarantee they promise. My key was also not returned to the concierge, so I had to change my locks. When I called them the next day, they told me that 4 people showed up and that they worked really hard on my condo for 4-5 hours, so they wanted and I had to pay them $775! They even threatened me! I have a 600 sq ft condo. It should have been immaculate for that price! Piss poor company. I hope Karma teaches them a lesson. STOP CHEATING PEOPLE.

The Maids have no idea what a deep cleaning is. They may get the job done if all they have to do is vacuum this week's dirt and wipe off a little dust, but if you're looking for someone to clean a place that hasn't been cleaned in a while, look elsewhere. I hired them to clean my 1 bedroom apartment, and I honestly have no idea what the four of them could possibly have been doing for 2 1/2 hours (at a cost of 420.00) given the results. They did do a decent job in the bathroom and kitchen, which weren't very dirty to start with, but totally failed in the living room and bedroom. They missed large areas of the windows, apparently cleaned the glass on pictures with a dirty rag, and did nothing to clean the blinds, which I'd specifically pointed out before they started. Sure, blinds are a pain to clean if they need more than dusting, but I talked about it with the company beforehand, and with the crew. Yet they just didn't do it. Even vacuuming, the most basic task, was poorly done, and I had to go over it again once they left. They also managed to trample and kill a plant that was crawling on the floor. Nice. Their fee, $168 per hour, is an outrage. I doubt the women working for them make more that work for them make no more than 12.00 an hour - 48.00 an hour for the four of them. So the company is adding 120 an hour for themselves, quadrupling the actual cost of the labor, even though they fail to provide either the training or equipment or whatever it is to see to it that their crew is capable of actually cleaning, when actual cleaning is needed. Never again.

I have been a customer of the maids since december. ISomeone from the office came to my home and quoted a price of 130.$ After several weeks of cleaning, Christina from the Maids office called to see if I liked the service. I told her sometimes the team came for 90 minutes and sometimes for 2 hours. She explained if 4 people came, they stayed 90 minutes and if 3 people came- they stayed 2 hours. Last week I received a call from Matt. He was going over the book and realized they are spending considerably more time than one hour in my home. I recounted to him the few conversations I have had . He said it was a miscommunication. I said are you kidding me- someone from your office came and priced the job. He could not make a point because it is clear the intention was to get into my house and then raise price. I believe it is dishonest way to do business. I am so very disappointed. Eileen Newton

Worst ever. They sent 4 women, one of whom spoke English, who spent all of her time vacuuming w a cell phone in her ear speaking Spanish. They vacuumed up the head of a Steiff animal on my night stand, vacuumed important parts to my husbands razor, I walked in one day to find their daughter eating lunch @ my dining room table, they broke my microwave oven by pushing a button while cleaning when no food was in microwave which caused control panel to blow. In retrospect, same thing happened w my old microwave & I didn't realize it, just thought microwave was old. Every week TV & cable would be disconnected. Final problem was they broke my glass dining room table, the end my husband & I never use, & didn't even offer compensation. They were disgruntled employees who demanded cash for xmass gifts be given directly to them because they said the main office kept the $ and didn't dole it out to them. Like an idiot I gave them cash & they barely said thank you.
