Great place to explore if you are a big Harry Potter fan! With set props and some interactive elements (e.g. green screen broom flying and learning how to cast a spell from a staff member), there’s something for everyone! You’re probably looking at spending a good 3-5 hours here (if you take the time to take pictures, look through and read the exhibitions, and engage in the interactive activities). I also recommend buying the Butter Beer (I’m pretty sure it’s just soda) since you get to keep the cup as a souvenir.

Totally worth the trip out here to experience the magic of Harry Potter. You don't even have to be a fan to appreciate all the beautiful life sized, immersive movie sets and stunning detail. We spent half a day wandering and taking photos at our own time. There are two themed food court and cafe areas for food and drink at the start and mid point of the tour. The gift shop was amazing and had so many beautiful souvenirs that weren't ridiculously priced. Highly recommend a visit if you're not looking for rides or shows. Easy to reach by the local train and a short walk to the entrance. Lockers and pram parking available. Do not arrive too early before the tour time as it's a timed entry and outside isn't shaded and can be hot in summer.

Amazing! If you are a Harry Potter fan, this is for you. Our time slot was 11.30am and we were still there at 5pm! (We did read all of the explanations for each exhibit). It was a wonderful day out, very easily accessible by train, BUT, the only negative is the food prices in the cafeteria which is situated half way through the tour. The only only choices were a selection of very overpriced meals, so you had no choice but to have one uf you were hungry. The food was very nice, however it would be better if there were more selections like sandwiches, cakes etc. The cakes they did have were Harry Potter themed and looked delicious but cost between 1700 and 2500 yen! That said, we did enjoy our meal and it would not stop us visiting again- just be aware of the cost. We rented the head sets for the self- guided tour (another additional expense) which was good but not really necessary as everything is in English anyway.

It was amazing! I truly enjoyed every moment. I highly suggest going in the morning. They open at 8:30 and the first tour is at 9am. However, if you plan to dress the part of a Hogwarts person then I recommend a 10am tour start time and utilizing an hour at the shop so you don’t feel rushed. Okay, so once you start the tour …taking our time and really immersing ourselves we didn’t finish until around 5pm. It was definitely a full day activity. Totally worth it. Another note, we purchased the digital audio guide and it was nice to have to get exclusive content and descriptions about each area.

The Making of Harry Potter experience is an absolute must for fans or a casual movie watcher. The attention to detail in the sets is nothing short of incredible; the Forbidden Forest and 4 Privet Drive and others are beautifully recreated. The studio demonstrates how the characters are created and the craftsmanship behind the props, sets and moving staircase. While the meals available on-site are a bit pricey, the overall experience is absolutely worthwhile. You’ll find that time slips away quickly - four hours flew by without us even realising. Highly recommended!

My second visit to The Making of Harry Potter — still just as magical! If you’re a fan of the films, this place never gets old. It takes around 3.5 hours if you go through quickly, but easily 4.5 hours or more if you stop to read everything and take in all the details. There are so many great photo spots and behind-the-scenes insights — from the way they shot the scenes, to the set design, music, costumes, and even the texture and detail in the props and architecture. The craftsmanship is seriously impressive. Highly recommend giving yourself time to really enjoy it. Still one of the best studio tours out there!

Visiting the Making of Harry Potter in Japan was an absolutely magical experience from start to finish. As a longtime fan of the series, I was thrilled to finally step into the wizarding world, and this attraction exceeded every expectation. From the moment you enter, the attention to detail is breathtaking. The sets, costumes, and props are all authentic and beautifully displayed—many brought directly from the original films. Walking through the Great Hall, Diagon Alley, and the Forbidden Forest felt like stepping into the movies. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the franchise. What stood out most was the interactive elements. Whether it was trying out a wand duel, mixing potions, or riding a broomstick via green screen, it made the experience incredibly immersive. The audio guides (available in multiple languages) added great context and behind-the-scenes stories that enriched the visit. The café and gift shop were also well themed, offering Butterbeer, chocolate frogs, and all kinds of exclusive merchandise. Prices are a bit high, but that’s expected with attractions like this. Overall, it’s a must-visit for Harry Potter fans and a wonderful introduction for newcomers. I spent nearly four hours there and still felt like I could have stayed longer. It's an unforgettable journey into the making of one of the most beloved franchises in the world. Highly recommended for families, fans, and anyone who still believes in a little magic.

Studio Tour Tokyo was absolutely incredible — a dream come true for any Harry Potter fan! From the moment you step through the entrance, you’re completely immersed in the Wizarding World, surrounded by iconic sets, props, and costumes that bring the magic to life. The attention to detail is breathtaking. Walking through the Great Hall, strolling down Diagon Alley, visiting the Forbidden Forest, and exploring the Hogwarts Express made us feel like we had stepped straight into the films. Every room and exhibit is packed with fascinating behind-the-scenes stories and hands-on experiences — from riding a broomstick to learning wand choreography. The experience is very well organized, allowing you to take your time and soak in every detail without feeling rushed. Staff throughout the studio were fantastic — incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the magic they’re helping to create.
