We visited The Making of Harry Potter – Tokyo on November 18, 2025 for the 12:00 PM tour, and despite arriving about 15 minutes late due to unexpected delays, everything turned out great. The venue wasn’t crowded that day, so we were able to breeze through security check and join the 1:00 PM tour instead. We booked our tickets through Klook, and the package we chose included a free headband of our choice, a fun little bonus that added to the experience. The studio itself was impressive. There were countless things to see, from iconic sets to props, and many interactive attractions you could participate in. You can even register for an account to download the videos of your activities, which is a nice way to keep souvenirs from the visit. Around the middle of the tour, there’s a Backlot Café where you can rest and grab something to eat before continuing. In total, we spent about 3.5 hours inside, and it honestly didn’t feel long because there was so much to explore. Overall, it was a magical and enjoyable visit, definitely worth the time even with our late start.

If I could give it a 100, I would. A must-visit for any potterheads out there! It offers not only cool photo-taking spots but also great interactive activities! Blending the storytelling with the craft of filmmaking, this place truly is magic. You get to learn a lot more from your favorite film franchise! The shop was also super cool! You can finally get your letter to Hogwarts at the 9 3/4 platform shop and fulfill your ultimate dream 😭 The food is much better than we thought and there’s a variety to choose from. Most of the staff are super nice and friendly, save one we asked to take a photo for us at the Hagrid’s motobike. She refused and said other visitors cN do that for us. A bit disappointed to hear it from a staff actually. Overall a memorable experience for us, and we got there in time for a Christmas decoration in the great hall too! Book your ticket in advance! And choose an early morning time so you have a ton of time to explore. It took us almost 6 hrs in there, from 10.00-16.00.

Absolutely amazing experience! We liked it just slightly more than the one in London, but both are phenomenal. You will want to buy tickets in advance and if you will need parking, you will also buy that the same time as your tickets. They scan it for you to get into the parking lot. It takes several hours to go through the whole tour and then add a bit of extra time for eating. Also, butterbeer is ONLY found at the midway cafe point, so get it there if you want some. It comes in an adorable souvenir cup that you take home with you. The level of detail here is top notch and many of the displays have extra magic to them with movement and such. There are more locations/ rooms on display here, as well. The food was also excellent. They stay open until closing time, which is nice considering that most of Japan will have a last order well before they close. We got one of the feasts to share for 2 of our group and it was so good and plenty for 2 people. The fish and chips was very good and the pizza was so unique and tasty! I really loved the pumpkin juice, but my husband didn't as it is made with a moderate amount of real pumpkin puree and only lightly sweet. The gift shop had many fun things only found in Tokyo and we certainly spent a nice amount there. We had an amazing visit and would highly recommend a tour!

It was such a cool experience! We definitely felt like we were in a Harry Potter movie. Yes, the admission price is on the higher side, but it’s worth it. You can enjoy walking around, taking photos, and learning all about how Harry Potter was made in incredible detail — you could easily spend hours exploring this place. I brought my one-year-old in a stroller, and it was very easy to get around. There are only two dining areas — one near the entrance and one in the middle of the tour — so I recommend bringing some snacks or food for little ones. The staff were very kind and friendly, especially toward our one-year-old. The only unfriendly experience I had was with the parking attendant who checked our QR code. I wasn’t prepared and had to look for the email with the code, and she seemed quite impatient and rude in her tone and attitude. Since parking staff are the first people visitors encounter when arriving by car, I hope the management team can provide better training in customer service for them.

A dream destination for Harry Potter fans! The studio is huge with many themed zones, and you can easily spend almost the entire day exploring every magical detail. The journey begins in the Experience Tour Start area — showcasing film posters from the series, followed by a short video and a grand opening ceremony inside the Hogwarts Great Hall, complete with house tables. During my visit, the theme happened to be The Goblet of Fire, which made the experience even more special. After that, the tour continues through various iconic sets and interactive spots: 🖼️ The moving staircases with portrait frames 🏆 Quidditch supporters' area 🪄 Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom ⚗️ Potions classroom ✨ Dumbledore’s office featuring the Pensieve 🌲 Forbidden Forest with Aragog & Buckbeak Mid-way, you’ll find Hagrid’s Hut and a nice break area featuring the Backlot Café & Butterbeer Bar — perfect for some magical refreshment. The adventure continues with: 🚍 The Knight Bus 🚉 Platform 9¾ with the Hogwarts Express 🔥 The Ministry of Magic & Floo Network fireplaces 🛍️ The magical Diagon Alley All in all, we spent from around 2 PM until 9 PM there — and still felt like the magic wasn’t enough! ✨⚡

The experience is a bit smaller than the location in London but definitely worth the trip since some exhibits are different. We visited during the week and surprisingly it wasn’t too crowded. If you’re a Harry Potter fan you’ll easily spend a couple of hours there. The gift shop located at the end is very well supplied and even have some special items only available in Japan. If you’re interested in visiting now would be the best time as the Hogwarts at snow exhibition just started.

Pre booking required as tickets are not sold on site. Parking has to be paid for in advance as well. Absolute must for a potter fan but even if you are not the scale and experience is amazing. The guide says the tour takes about 4 hrs but you can easily spend the whole day inside. You can enter upto 1hr ahead of your scheduled time and once you are inside there’s no restriction on how long you spend walking around. There are many fun interactive activities. They also have picture areas like wanted posters etc and a fun broom picture with a green screen. Which can be purchased if you want. It’s all mostly indoor but a few areas are outdoor. Like the chess board, knight bus, Privet drive and Hagrids hut. The Butterbeer is also sold in an outdoor cafe area. Once you have the butterbeer there are little sinks where you can wash the mugs and take them home as a keepsake. They even give you a little bag for it. There’s also butterbeer in bottles for sale in the souvenir shop. The shop is filled with so many little trinkets and souvenirs you can lose track of time in there. They even have a monogramming counter if you want to get your wand engraved. It was an amazing tour and I would go many times over given the chance because I’m sure I’ll discover something new every time.

The Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Tokyo is nothing short of magical—it's an absolute must-visit for any Harry Potter fan. Unlike a theme park, this is an incredibly detailed, immersive journey into the actual filmmaking process, and it truly allows you to step behind the scenes of the wizarding world. What stands out is the sheer scale and quality of the sets and props. Walking through iconic locations like the Great Hall, the Forbidden Forest, and Diagon Alley is breathtaking. Every detail is meticulously preserved, and the lighting and design make you feel like you’ve been transported directly to Hogwarts. Tokyo offers some unique elements you won't find anywhere else, including massive photo opportunities and interactive exhibits that feel fresh. Don't rush through; take the time to appreciate the hundreds of costumes, creature designs, and concept art on display. The entire tour flow is well-paced, taking a solid three to four hours to fully enjoy. A special shout-out to the food and retail experiences. The cafes offer visually stunning themed treats, and the gift shop is filled with Tokyo-exclusive merchandise that is genuinely unique and high-quality. If you are a fan of the films or books, this tour offers a deeper, more profound appreciation for the artistry that created the Harry Potter universe. It's a premium experience that is well worth the time and ticket price.
