The Malibu Dream Resort

I had the pleasure of planning an intimate (75-guest) wedding at Malibu Dream Resort (in April of 2022) and it was an incredible experience all around. The property is impeccably maintained and has one of the most spectacular ocean and mountain views. Thouse has 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms and up to 16-guests can stay on site. The Malibu Dream Resort sales rep (Lior) and event manager (Karen) were so accommodating and easy to work with. I plan a lot of Los Angeles estate weddings and this is not always the case. It would be a pleasure to return to Malibu Dream Resort and I will definitely recommend it to future planning clients. Photos: Rad + In Love. Planning & Design, yours truly!

I had the pleasure to spend the weekend with my family in this absolutely amazing place. The amenities, view and care was second to none. I would come here again !!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS VENDOR FOR WEDDING!! Filter by newest search on both here and wedding wire - the good reviews are about lodging or from many years prior. That is not true anymore as they are being sued by the county for hosting events. They are NOT licensed to host weddings and canceled two weeks before the wedding. In addition, they refused to provide deposit or the full amount book and only did so after full legal action was taken. This malicious intent highlights the shadiness of this corporation. If you Google the owner, you can find articles and lawsuits from other brides in similar boats. After the very last minute cancellation and calling other venues to see who had last minute availability, they mentioned how that location is notorious for bending the rules. I am disheartened that they would be dishonest and scam people on what is arguably one of the biggest and most expensive days of their lives! I’m glad it eventually worked out with a different venue but I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

Beautiful home in the Malibu hills. Plenty of space to host all of your friends and family. A nice swimming pool, tennis court, and great place to just relax.

DO NOT book this venue for your wedding! They are not legally permitted to host events, and if you book, they will not return your deposit in the inevitable event that the city informs you that you cannot host the event on site. All money will be lost unless you are willing to take legal action. Do not book them!

Absolutely over the top! We had 16 guests for my husband’s 60th birthday trip. From months of planning unique activities to elaborate dinners, Karen, the estate manager, worked with me and for me to make sure every detail was attended to. During the trip, she and her staff, which included Brittany, Zack, chefs and housekeeping staff made certain our stay was 5 star. We travel often and have had the good fortune to experience great service. However, this team took impeccable service to a new level! We will miss them! The property itself has the most stunning views!

I had an amazing time at The Malibu Dream Resort. My family and I spent the weekend with our family friends and their kids. Our kids had so much fun in the pool and playing tennis. Us parents had the utmost relaxing weekend with the most refreshing air and stunning views. Thank you to the Living The Dream Team for this 5-Star stay.

Worst experience ever, it was a nightmare!! I would give them a -ve rating if that was an option. Malibu Dream Resort (MDR) amended the contract, without consent from the host, 4 days before the event and told the host that they have to sign the amended contract to move forward with their events!! Family didn’t agree with the amendments and end up booking new venue at the last minute that costed them a lot more. Now MDR is refusing to return the money they had received that is over $100k!! My cousin booked this venue more than a year in advance for her son’s rehearsal dinner and wedding reception to be held on May 19th and May 20th, 2023. She had invited 350 guests. Four days before the event, on May 15th during the scheduled final call MDR told them, for the 1st time, that MDR was not going to allow any guest parking at the property for the May 19th event. MDR sent them a new contract on May 16th with revised term for parking, and music and told them that they have to sign the new contract or they will not be permitted to have the events at the MDR!! Just imagine the stress, and pressure put on the family just 3 days before the event!! My cousin was so stressed and almost had a nervous break down! Family had to look for a new venue, inform guests, and replan all arrangements in just two days 😞 Wedding events that were supposed to be joyful and happy moments ended up to be the worst nightmare for the family☹️
