The Maltings (Weybourne, Norfolk) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Once a working maltings, then a war depot and later an artist’s studio, The Maltings has been transformed into a coastal getaway with a destination restaurant and a scattering of stylish rooms and suites. The original brick-and-pebble buildings remain, now softened by leather club chairs, floral wallpapers, freestanding tubs, and low-key luxury. The coast is minutes away, but with fairy-lit courtyards, a gameroom, and fireside reading nooks, you may not be in a rush." - Tablet Hotels

We absolutely loved our stay at The Maltings! The setting was beautiful, the overall atmosphere was fabulous, the staff were so very friendly and helpful, and it was the most dog-friendly place we have ever stayed in. We often travel with our dog and it meant so much to us that you provided a bed, treats, bowls, bags, and even a towel - and he was genuinely welcomed in every part of the hotel. This helped us to feel so relaxed. The home-made cookies with a handwritten note in our room was a very special touch. Everything about our stay was wonderful and we can't wait to come back!

A relaxed hotel surrounded with beautiful small cottages. The hotel has a relaxed feel and the main restaurant is located there. There is a wellness/spa and another restaurant/bar on the premises. A nice walk to Weybourne beach and a fantastic fish restaurant only a 5 minute walk away. I would recommend this place.

We’ve just returned from The Maltings where we celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary. What a beautiful experience from start to finish. Hotel itself is stunning, rooms wonderful, excellent food and the staff were outstanding. Special mention to Luara, Cosmo and Olivia. Nothing was too much trouble - they made my parents golden wedding anniversary so special. Thank you to the entire team ♥️

Absolutely stunning hotel in the perfect location. Staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was exceptional with an array of continental starters followed by a choose of cooked options. The only downside was the cost of an over night stay for our little cockapoo £25 which in my opinion is very heavy, most hotels charge £10 something the hotel needs to look into.

Fabulous hotel with fantastic staff. We had a lovely stay in beautiful surroundings. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff are excellent. The food we had was very tasty, locally sourced, and of good quality. I cannot recommend The Maltings highly enough, and we will definitely be back.

What a great place and a little gem on the Norfolk coast. We stayed here to explore the surrounding areas with our dog and booked because of the dog friendly reputation. I'm happy to report that the quality of the rooms and the staff were absolutely first class... really friendly and helpful, and they made a massive fuss of our little cocker spaniel Freddie who tells me he can't wait to go back! The restaurant is also superb with great quality food and again, totally dog friendly. Highly recommended for anyone who needs a home away from home to explore more of what Norfolk has to offer.

What a gem, beautiful hotel, everything finished to the highest standards and the staff are so kind and attentive. We had a brilliant stay and were looked after so well, from being greeted so warmly by Phoebe who went above and beyond, even helping us with recommendations for places to visit on our first trip to Norfolk. The team at the Grain Store were brilliant with Joe, Olivia, Marie and Johno being especially warm and welcoming, and Rosalind was so helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are fantastic, the food is great and the location is stunning and so well placed to explore North Norfolk and beyond.

I usually leave positive reviews, but I feel I have to warn other travellers. We paid £530 for two nights and were given Room 25, “The Snug,” which was advertised as a double. In reality, it was nothing of the sort. The room is a dark, windowless box with no ventilation, no wardrobe, no bedside table (a stool) no desk, no chair and barely any space to walk around the bed. There was nowhere to put luggage, clothes, or even a cup of coffee. The bathroom offered little practicality either, with nowhere to hang a towel, adding to the overall sense of poor design and comfort. It felt claustrophobic and simply not fit for purpose. Even staff, who were otherwise very friendly, reacted knowingly with “Oh, you’re in Room 25!” which says it all. To be fair, the rest of The Maltings is fine... the bar, restaurant and library room are pleasant, and the staff tried wherever possible. But £530 for two nights in a windowless box with such limited facilities is absolutely outrageous. This room should never be advertised as a double.
