Dated with furniture from the 70'. The room is small and smells like some cleaning product. The bed and sheets will disappoint you greatly. Don't bring your girlfriend or wife. It is not a three-star-star hotel. The employees are very nice and courteous. The location is fine as well.

It’s difficult to say, though bang for the buck was solid. The motel is older. It has wonderful staff, though it’s aged. The amenities are aged. The room we rented was two singles. Small beds. Kinda uncomfortable, but inexpensive & on the main floor. Bathroom was fine, yet small with weak water pressure. They are building new, fancy units behind the older lodge, though depends on pricing if worth it. Overall, good value, just nothing (but the staff) to bring us back. Enjoy.

I had a great time staying here while working remotely in January. The room was so comfortable, spacious, and had a great view. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and really nice people. The location is great, just a few minutes walk to stores and a 5 minute drive to the Eagle Lift. I absolutely recommend this wonderful Inn and will definitely stay again.

Great value! Was pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was given the price point! Everything was clean and looked recently updated, and staff was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again in the future

Great staff, very welcoming & helpful. We checked in on Christmas day 25th evening, the reception lady was very welcoming & encouraged us to explore the hotel. Spa is too good, rooms are neat and clean. Warm fireplaces, lounging spots & it felt cozy. Next day during our checkout, Kailiawa was very friendly & smiling, she helped us with good suggestions about places to visit around Mammoth & also warned us about Gondola's being closed due to heavy winds. Wonderful customer service overall.

Google
the location was great. close to shops and a vons and a couple mins away from the resort. it had a very quaint feelings and was very clean. the hotel staff was very responsive. only negative the beds were a little uncomfortable and we didn't get a goods nights rest.

We actually stayed in January 2022 but it would not let me select that date. This inn was simple, no frills, but we didn’t really need any. Just needed somewhere clean and safe that didn’t cost and arm and a leg, just somewhere to lay our heads after skiing. Only the most simple rooms were available as week booked pretty close to the trip date, but on the morning of our check out we saw some of the suites/larger rooms available as they were being cleaned and they looked really cool. My main issue was them not having a microwave in the room. This is just a basic element that all hotels should and usually do have. Especially if you are going to have a mini fridge where you might stash left overs, you should have a microwave. Or what if you just want to reheat your coffee? If they could make that simple upgrade I think all their guests would appreciate. Otherwise I had not complaints about our stay. It was warm, clean, and quiet. Great inexpensive stay.

I guess you get what you pay for. Dated, furniture from the 70', and a very uncomfortable bed. The sheets were NOT hotel quality. The employees were great though.

Yelp
9/5/2024- Stayed from Tuesday til Thursday. Pros- received a text before arriving and wanted to know if we needed anything or had any questions.. I like how it's situated away from the Main Street. Super quiet... and very clean. Only downside was the tv.. super old.. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Yelp
Not quite sure how this place gets all the 4 star reviews. Maybe they stayed on the top floor. I had the misfortune of staying on the 1st floor. The noise level between floors is horrible. You hear every footstep from above if you have a ground floor room. Even the ground floor is creaky. And you can also hear conversations. The room's interior is badly dated. Old furniture that has been painted over and over. No outlets on end tables to charge devices. You have to reach down behind the end table to plug in. Ceilings with gigantic patchwork spots. Mustiness rules the atmosphere. And the TV is ancient. No hi-def reception and about half the channels have digital break-up. I felt like I was staying at a Motel 6 in the year 1985. On the plus side the room seemed clean. But I would never stay here again.

Erika A.

Yelp
Dirty hotel. You can hear everything from rooms next door. Every conversation in detail. Very noisy on top of that the bedding was filled with hair seems like and old motel. They charge so much for a very dirty room. Will be telling everyone to not stay here.

Yelp
What a cute little spot! We stayed one night here and it was great! Very quiet, clean spacious rooms, lots of amenities at the lodge itself which were kindly mentioned to us at check in. I didn't catch his name (I'm really bad about names) but the younger gentleman at check in was wonderful and the gal that we briefly spoke to at check out was just as lovely. The rooms don't have air conditioning, which I saw a lot of complaints about by they did provide a table fan, window fan, and a cooler tower in the room, so I feel they are doing the best they can with what they have at this time and honestly, I sleep with a fan on at home so having that noise made me feel much more comfortable. There was construction next door but we were up at 4:30am to hit the hot springs and honestly didn't notice any noise from it. My only qualm is the size of the parking lot - it's not the biggest and can be tight, but each time we came back to the room, we had a spot. Overall, this was a great stay and I'd book here again in a heartbeat.

Linda B.

Yelp
Very cozy little lodge. Clean, cute rooms with fridge and coffee maker (our room had 2 twin beds). Very friendly staff. Microwave is downstairs in the lobby. No elevator and you will be going up and down stairs just so you are aware. There is also construction going on at the building next door but it didn't start until 8am-ish and from our room wasn't unbearably loud. We were ready to get up by then anyways. This is the perfect spot for Tesla owners as the superchargers are right across the street in the ice rink parking lot, and there are even some free level 2 chargers there as well. The restaurant across the street, The Stove, serves up delicious breakfast and lunch. If you bring your dog, there is also a little park right across the street by the superchargers/ice rink with doody bags and a trash can. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again. It was the perfect home base for us to explore Devils Postpile (the trailhead is currently only accessible by car on Friday, Saturday and Sunday - check before you go), the Mammoth Lakes Basin area and Convict Lake before heading up to the June Lake loop and down Tioga Pass on to our next adventure!

Kyle F.

Yelp
To start off, big thank you to Leana Ala for the accommodation of letting us check in early & check out a little later due to my car breaking down up here.. They were more than helpful with our stay & letting us stay here longer than anticipated. We will 100% be coming back here as this hotel is on the outter skirts of town but the red line takes you right up to main lodge which turned out to be a pleasant surprise for us snowboarders. The hotel is within walking distance to everything near by (food/grocery etc.) so this was awesome for us since we still didnt have a car lol! But overall I loved it here & look forward to coming back as they will be adding onto the hotel which is looking very nice so far!!

Yelp
This was our first trip to Mammoth and we will definitely be back. Such a beautiful location with so much to see. We went there for the Reggea Festival but got to experience so much more. Jose at the front desk was a wealth of knowledge and made the area so easy to navigate. We were able to see and go everything we wanted with ease. He had so many wonder recommendations like visiting June Lake, Convict Lake and The Village Center. Going to the top of the waterfall at Mamie Lake was a highlight for us. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and are so thankful for Jose's direction and recommendations.

Julia D.

Yelp
Great place to stay! Suana, steam room, hot tub, gym, pool table, scenic views, friendly service. Jose checked us in and was super helpful with lots of recommendations around town. Such a great stay and great room! So thankful! Free tea, cider, hot coco, and coffee! Wonderful stay!

Brian M.

Yelp
Best place I've been in a long time! The gentleman that's there at nights, was amazing and so kind. Wifey hurt her knee on the slopes, he brought a bag of ice For her knee. The whole staff was as amazing, let us stay In our currant room an extra day so she could stay off it and not be in the car. Thank you so much for an amazing experience!

Ian L.

Yelp
Nice, clean place to stay if you don't feel like shelling out for an AirBnb. The place is a little bit dated and some of the carpeting in our room was weirdly loose, but everything else was pretty good. Loved the 24/7 coffee before hitting the slopes and I would definitely have tried the sauna if it wasn't COVID times. The parking lot is a bit cramped but easy manageable and we were also able to easily walk out to nearby restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Danilo M.

Yelp
We arrived early evening on the day after Thanksgiving expecting to check into our Airbnb but quickly realized we made a mistake in reserving it for the following evening leaving us without a place for the night. Thinking that our chances were slim to find a room, we could only drive around to find a place to stay. We we extremely lucky that we found Mammoth Creek Inn. The staff were so helpful and incredibly friendly they even offered a 10% discount on an evening that was just about sold out (only 2 rooms were left). There were 7 of us and we got a room with a spacious loft where it could sleep up to 5 and the downstairs living room could sleep another 2 on a sofa bed. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking which we did for our dinner and breakfast. The inn had a poolroom outside, a large commons room complete with coffee, tea and iced lemon water. In the basement was a workout room, a spa and sauna. As we were only staying for one night we unfortunately didn't get to enjoy these amenities other than the commons room. Apart from the comfortable beautiful and spacious room, the staff made a very good impression on me with their helpfulness and kindness which seems to be a hit or miss in the hospitality industry these days. Highly recommend this place!

Manny A.

Yelp
Excellent place, highly recommended. My wife and I have been coming up to mammoth for years and have tried quite a few places. Mammoth Creek Inn has definitely been one of the better places that we'd book again. We came this weekend for a ski trip, checking in Friday and leaving Sunday. I called to let them know about our late arrival and they were kind enough to have someone available to provide keys and directions upon our arrival at midnight. The service from the gentleman was great. We entered our standard room, which had a king size bed, TV, and few other accessories. The room was very clean, and everything was in great shape. The place was quiet, no loud or roudy neighbors. The rates were very reasonable and the value was great. If you need a clean, quality place to sleep without all the fancy stuff - this is it. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
EXCELLENT!!! Looking to stay somewhere nice, really nice in Mammoth? This is it!! See my pics below! It's located on the south side of the city / business area, with several pubs, a Vons and a movie theatre are very nearby. The west side has nothing but open land next to it, giving you really great views to the mountain. NOTE - if your here when there's no snow, the street the hotel is on runs due west and into the forest and up to Lake Mary, it's called the Old Mammoth Road. If you look on a map you can run a loop from here to Lake Mary and then back into town on Lake Mary Road, which turns into Main Street. The room was just awesome, they call it a "Junior Suite " and there are a number of them along with a few other styles /choices. It is actually a split level room, with the downstairs having a bath, kitchenette (nicely done with modern appliances) and living room with 2 couches, one of them a fold out bed. This level opens up onto a balcony with awesome views. The window / sliding glass door is extra wide making the view all the better. Stairs against the wall lead to a loft with a bed, TV , dresser, overhead fan and really nice bathroom, with a large glass wall/door shower. Don't dismiss the idea of a loft , this was spacious and open, really really nice. They offer a number of other extras - a spa, a gym, breakfast, a very nice lounge / meeting area with TV on the ground floor and a pool table on the second level common area near the stairs. The only limitation is that there's no elevator, but it's all of 12 steps or so to go from the 1st to the second floor, so not a big deal, at least to me. Lastly, staff was friendly and welcoming. To me this was a great find and it's hard to think one of the other hotels up on Main St could begin to match!

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here during a week long stay in Mammoth, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly, the location of the hotel was perfect - it was walking distance to several restaurants and shops! The rooms were clean and spacious, just perfect enough for us two. We came during the winter time so it had just snowed, and it was breathtaking. The price of the room was fair and our experience was great, we will certainly be back!

Paul F.

Yelp
I saw that the average rating for this hotel was 4 stars on Yelp, and I am going to agree with that. Good overall hotel: nice beds, nice bathroom, great proximity to town. Unfortunately they don't have A/C so it was a little warm in our room. Had it been in the upper 80's/low 90's, it may have been a little uncomfortable. Luckily they had 2 fans in the room to keep us cool. I asked if they had breakfast options but was told that it was removed during Covid. Would be nice to have a breakfast option in my opinion. Downstairs is a really nice spa with hot tub, sauna, and steam room. I would imagine that is a VERY nice perk during the winter time. I did want to add: The gentleman at the front desk was really helpful. We had some questions on dining and he was really accommodating with his suggestions. Plus we needed a new fan (the one in the room was broken) and within 5 minutes he had a new one for us.

Adam L.

Yelp
Great place. New go to in Mammoth. Great service before and during the trip. Very generous size rooms. Felt clean and safe. Very good value for ski season.

Roman K.

Yelp
Our towels had a brown dirty spots and another two smaller towels had yellow spots on them. When we told the desk on checkout they said sorry. Wish we checked them before using them on our hands. Especially with covid shouldn't towels be washed properly ? Otherwise really soft bed sheets. Mattresses were really comfortable and didn't make weird noises to small movements. Refrigerator/ freezer were very small so if you need to store food properly it may be difficult. WiFi is like maybe 5mbps at best. Ps4 won't run on WiFi since you have to open their site to login and it had multiple issues I don't usually have.

Wyatt O.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a nice weekend in the mountains. We are both more than happy with our stay the place is clean, comfortable, and the staff makes it feel like home. The steam room and hot tubs are a great plus after a snow day. It's a little on the outside of town which was great for us. Easy parking but still walking distance to Vons and other restaurants. You really can't beat it for the price. We're looking forward to staying here when we come up for the summer

Sherpa M.

Yelp
Stayed here for a mom's weekend skiing. Simple (that's a compliment), clean, cozy, friendly staff... I will definitely look to book here again.

Misty G.

Yelp
We couldn't have been happier to spend Thanksgiving here! A full kitchen was a key feature for this trip and it had everything we needed to complete our Thanksgiving Dinner. We stayed in the room with a loft which was plenty spacious for the whole family including our dog! Two full bathrooms, king sized bed and 2 pull out couches were clean, warm and comfy. The oversized sliding glass door was a window to a winter wonderland with a view of mountains and trees. The absolute best feature for me was the spa and sauna, a nightly ritual to soothe your muscles after a long adventurous day! I can't complain about the location either. It is next to a creek with a pleasant and beautiful hiking trail while also being close to the free mountain shuttle to the slopes. I would definitely stay here again.

Jess X.

Yelp
Rats! As soon as we entered the place and sat our luggage. We heard a scratching noise behind walls running back and forth. We told the front desk. We were told it was a woodpecker. What!? At night!? Woodpecker aren't nocturnal creatures, plus a woodpecker running inside the walls, up and down? We did not sleep all night, rats kept running around the walls all nigh. Left as soon as the sun came out. We cancelled our 3 day stay. They still had the nerve to charge us daily fee. We were so tired no sleep and no rest. We posted this on the expedia website under reviews but they removed it somehow. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!

Wiebke S.

Yelp
Nice place, enjoyed our stay. Love the sauna/ spa area, really nice front desk, room a bit dated but very clean.

Franki D.

Yelp
The best Hotel experience ever! Took a friend for surgery, arriving a day early, as a storm was heading in. Snow started on Sunday about 4pm, and didn't stop until Wednesday morning. If not for the most amazing staff, and accommodations, it could have turned into the worst trip ever. Our room was large , excellent view window, comfy bed, oversized chairs. The front lobby had a magnificent fireplace, with two large view windows. Tom the shuttle driver gave us his personal number in case we needed anything, he became a great tour guide in the next couple days. Took us to great restaurants, and made sure we had what we needed. Due to the storm covering our car in snow, we needed to be shuttled everywhere the entire stay. LK the hotel manager, and Elsa the evening clerk were both kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel, they are on the right track for personal friendly service. More like a feeling of home.

Bri N.

Yelp
When you find unexpected gems hidden in the town you know you've hit big. My husband and I just visited last weekend and had such a wonderful stay here. We were pleasantly surprised with the spa which had a steam room, sauna, gym, and jacuzzi. Perfect for those long days on the slopes. Our room was quiet and very clean. They have a billiards room up stairs which was fun after dinner. We will absolutely stay here again. The staff was extremely helpful and very kind. Additionally, they had one of the best continental breakfast choices offered. They're also located close to the main lodge and the village about a 7 minute drive. We didn't use their complimentary hotel shuttle, but could have. Next time! Now....We just have to plan our next return.

Riz F.

Yelp
Awesome. Cute hotel. Used the hot tub every night we were there. Cute lobby with fireplace and the staff is great. Driver Tom is so awesome. He took us to the main lodge and picked us up also. The reviews were right. Across the street the breakfast place is amazing also!

Ramon V.

Yelp
Decent hotel for the money. Beds seemed pretty small though, smallest I've personally ever seen in a hotel. Free continental breakfast. As others have mentioned there doesn't seem to be any AC in the rooms. This was fine since we were here in Oct, not sure how hot it gets in the summer but that might be an issue. Another thing to note is that we stayed here because we were planning to go to Yosemite. While the hotel looks to be close to the park, it was still a 2 hour drive from the hotel to the Yosemite lodge area where the tours and what not leave from. So keep that in mind if you're planning to go there. Overall for the price it's a good place to stay.

Kristy S.

Yelp
It's just an okay place to stay if you're in mammoth and don't want to book a condo. My family typically stays at condos when we go to mammoth, but because my husband and I wanted to stay separate from family this time, I thought we could try a hotel for once. In terms of cost, it wasn't worth it since the cost of a condo with a loft was the same. Decent stuff: close to everything in town, but what isn't? Haha. Refreshments available 24/7 in the common area. Continental breakfast (Activia yogurt, danishes, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, cut fruit, cereal, bagels and toast). Disappointing stuff: WEAK shower (hated washing my hair because it took forever). No air conditioning (which would've been okay cause there is a breeze in the summer, but leaving the windows open all night led to awful allergies for us). Small parking lot (big trucks in the lot made it harder to park due to limited turning space)

Shaina C.

Yelp
Absolute amazing stay! Very well-kept building & friendly staff. The rooms themselves are clean and the beds are SO comfortable! Living in Vegas where friends come to visit often, I've seen the inside of plenty of hotel rooms...I would 100% choose these rooms over any hotel room in Vegas, bar none. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Iulietta G.

Yelp
This was a last minute decision for us since we had originally planned on camping for the night. However, due to thunderstorms we thought it might be best to get a hotel room instead. We really liked this hotel! The room was quaint, clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and upgraded us to a Queen room because for some reason we were only able to book a two single bed room online. He also suggested we try the hot tub and sauna on the first floor or the pool table on the third floor. The breakfast was decent and the coffee was good. We spent a bit of time in the lobby area drinking our coffees and enjoying the views of the snow-capped mountains (in June!!). So why only four stars? Well, the walls are paper thin and you can pretty much hear every other guest in the hotel either walking around, opening/closing doors, talking, or showering. The refrigerator made a high pitched humming noise so we had to turn it off for the night. Otherwise, we would definitely come back to this hotel if we ever visit Mammoth again!

Siv Z.

Yelp
This is a great Inn. We arrived late on Friday night to check in with no issues. Maria at the front desk is lovely. Our room was clean, bathroom was clean. Pet friendly room! They have a great selection of continental breakfast included in the rate from fresh seasonal fruits, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, ham, cereal, danish and bagels. There was a park across the street and some local restaurants around the area within walking distance. There is also a Vons. Great hiking spots in the area. We hiked up to Crystal Lake. It was absolutely beautiful! Overall a great place to stay for our weekend there!

Scott W.

Yelp
First room had a toilet that would not flush. Moved to a second room whose toilet tank was faulty and ran and ran never filling to flush properly. Moved to a third room where the toilet, while workable, required instruction by the oh-so-put upon desk person. At 65, I have seen a few toilets and instruction is something I do not require. The desk person explained 'did I hold the lever down? ... did I wait ... everything in Mammoth is old.' Really? The shower was barely functional due to the hot/cold water handle being sheered off and the tub/shower selector not fully sealing. I was exhausted at this point and gave up. In the morning at the coffee service area, the housekeeper person did not return a good morning and simply glared at me and slammed a cabinet door. Having coffee in the lobby just now, I hear the desk person swearing and arguing with someone. Oh, the resort fee?????? Please ... All in all a most unpleasant experience. My advice to fellow travellers is to spend your lodging dollars elsewhere.

Mark A.

Yelp
It's very average and way overpriced , The room was large but a bit outdated. I am sure it's good in the winter but the top floor room was literally 150 degrees at night with no AC. The staff seemed straight out of the twilight zone. The room was definitely not worth the $350 I was charged on top of a resort fee that no one could tell me what it was for. There are much better places in the area for $350 and once again if you want to sleep in a sauna book the room.

Alexis M.

Yelp
I had the most wonderful week stay at the hotel. The GM "LK" and the Night Manager Tom took good care of us and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. One thing that stood out was my boyfriend who's obsessed with his fresh juices in the morning mentioned this in passing and Tom was kind enough to show up with a pack of juices for us the next morning. He was also so accommodating, checking in to make sure we had what we needed, gave recommendations for romantic spots and set up a reservations at one of the best places in town when everything was fully booked. Sad to leave but we'll be back soon to the Mammoth Creek Inn!!

Jeff F.

Yelp
Great staff (Especially Tom) was incredibly friendly and helpful with getting food, car, ferrying us to ski lifts, changing dates of our stay, etc . They went way beyond. Can't say enough. Very convenient location close to restaurants, Vons, movie theatre, bowling alley, bus to mountain, etc. room was clean and nice. It isn't a luxury hotel but was very comfortable and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended.

Nick W.

Yelp
My go to spot when we bring our dog with us. Always friendly staff and accommodating. Great indoor spa when covid isn't scaring people. Close to all the shops and restaurants. Been staying here for years and will keep that up.

Arthur H.

Yelp
Such a pleasant experience staying here over the weekend. Especially thankful for the night manager Tom who looked after us every day. Very positive, kind and caring attitude, made us feel at home with his positive energy and thoughtful gestures. Looking forward to coming back here soon!

Rey L.

Yelp
This is one of those places where it will surprise you. No elevator(two floors only), the outside looks old. I can't blame them for the surroundings or how noisy some drunks driving around could be. But that's how Mammoth is, too many bars around. How this hotel will surprise you? There's a lamp on the ceiling just like you have at home. It's clean, creaky floors but that's character. Bathroom's clean too. Towels are clean. The whole place is clean. There's a sauna, a tub whirlpool and plenty of ice for your drinks. Close to a supermarket and restaurants. People are nice here. Also, when you forget your stuff like I did, my watch, they ran out to give it to me. Everything is pricey at Mammoth, so don't complain. Most of it go to pay taxes. This place is awesome.

Grace E.

Yelp
Nothing is bad or wrong with this place, it's just sort of bland. Pros: -Rooms were clean and spacious. -The pineapple water and cookies in the lobby were yummy. -They allow dogs. -decent location close to restaurants and trails. Cons: -Breakfast was lackluster. Mostly bread, cereal and fruit. -Found two spiders in our room. -Rooms felt a bit sterile. They were sparsely decorated with nothing hanging on the walls. -a couple of the staff members were friendly but some just sat in front of the desk watching YouTube videos and didn't even look up when we walked by. -Jets in hot tub were broken. Overall, If you need a place that takes dogs or a last minute reservation, this is not a bad place but it wouldn't be our first choice in the future. This place has potential to be great, just needs some tweaks. Note: the staff member (I can't remember her name) that took my reservation, was very kind and bent over backwards to book me a room at the lowest price she could, last minute.

Meryl A.

Yelp
I love Mammoth Creek. It's the go to place for me. The rooms are nice and clean...Great staff very helpful and friendly. Across from my favorite breakfast place...the Stove. And walking distance from a lot of restaurants, shopping and bars. It still has the old mammoth charm that I have grown to know and LOVE They serve a continental breakfast and very good coffee.

Michael L.

Yelp
I enjoyed staying at the Mammoth Creek Inn. It's no Mammoth 8050, but still a nice place to stay. I think it might have been recently remodeled, because the furnishings, fixtures, and interior all seemed new even though the structure looks rustic from the outside, and you can still hear the floor creaking from people walking upstairs. The bathroom, floors, and linens are all clean and new. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There's free wi-fi and cable TV in the rooms, the suites have a furnished kitchen, and in the lobby there's always fruit, water, and coffee. In the morning there's a simple breakfast with oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, toast, fruit, and pastries, but it's really hard to eat that when The Stove is across the street. There's also an indoor hot tub and sauna downstairs. Red Line stop 16 is less than a block away, and it's an early stop so it's always empty when it comes by and then packs out as the bus goes toward the Village.

Brenda B.

Yelp
Kate was AMAZING and accommodating, super chill vibes all throughtout my stay here. It was my first time and i'd book here again. Jacuzzi and free breakfast litty for your time at Mammoth mountain

Jeff C.

Yelp
Had a great stay at the Inn. The staff was awesome. The price point is good and the facilities are decent. Across the street is the best breakfast in town. Shuttle service to mountain was provided by hotel. Bus service was also good to go out at night.

Carenna W.

Yelp
We loved this place. The fireplace, cookies, the hot tub, morning breakfast. The steam room never was too hot so we stuck with the hot tub which has a nice zen vibe. The provided robes are also comfy.

Richard G.

Yelp
Mammoth Creek Inn was a nice place to stay and the lady from Hawaii was very Friendly at the Front Desk. They have No AC....so keep that in mind if you are there and it's hot during your stay! Its Super Convenient to downtown and just down the street from Samurai the Excellent Japanese/Sushi Restaurant.

Jami W.

Yelp
After riding the mountain all day this was an easy stay. The decor of the lobby is log cabin-esk and they offer continental breakfast in the morning... Not sure what they offer I didn't want to spend anymore time here than I had to. The room was a bit small for the price but it's close to the mountain so slightly understandable. The heating unit takes a bit to warm up the room so if you need to warm your body quickly, there's a jacuzzi, sauna or steam room in the basement. The beds are not the best and many of the towels had stains in them. The room walls are also thin so hopefully your neighbors don't have the volume on their tv too loud (ours did). From 2am until and 6am the noise was beating through the walls. I was tossing and turning trying to ignore the noise but couldn't handle it any longer so I went downstairs to speak with a manager only to find a sign on the office desk reading "ring the bell outside of the front door for assistance". When I rang the bell a guy came out from one of the rooms and asked me what was wrong. When I told him I had been up since 2am because of the loud noises coming from the neighbor he followed up with some irrelevant questions and said that he was really just security and I'd have to speak to the manager in the morning, she comes in at 7am. I went back to my room and the noise went on for a while longer. My boyfriend saw me restless and put the bathroom fan on to drown out some of the noise so I could get SOME sleep. In the morning, I stopped by the front desk to talk to them about what happened and the manager lady, I suppose, was just as irritating saying, ok I'll tell them they need to turn it down. As angry as I was that she didn't seem to care what bit or know what customer service is, I requested that they take care of our room for the inconvenience. Her response was oh I can't take care of the whole thing, you did stay here, but I will take care of half. Worthless... This place is worthless with awful customer service.

Yelp
Well, this is one of those places that has walls that seem as thin as rice paper. You can hear everything, and I mean everything, that goes on in the adjacent rooms. Yikes. Next, quite possibly the smallest beds I have seen outside of youth hostels in Europe. Be prepared to be in the mummy position all night long. Also, the water heater must have some sort of safety limiter on it because the water only gets warm, not hot. The parking lot is pitch black at night due to lack of lighting. The receptionist is nice, so that earns them some stars. I'd recommend staying here only if no other lodging options are available.

Yelp
The staff was very courteous, professional, and helpful. They helped recommend local dining. The couch and fireplace is a cozy, bonus. The room was larger than expected. The view from the room was a beautiful surprise. I recommend scheduling a massage next door, too.

Yelp
Small hotel on the edge of town. Basic rooms face a strip mall parking lot, more expensive rooms overlook a city park and the mountains. Vibe is very quaint. Many restaurant choices within a few blocks.

Yelp
When I walked into the room, my first thought was that the photos on the website look way better than the room itself. But after being there for a bit, we realized that the room was just fine. King bed, flat screen tv, couch, decent bathroom, good heater, free wifi. Walls are a little thin but no biggie. What sold it for me was the amenities. Free shuttle service to and from the mountain, didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes. Coffee, tea, cocoa, water, fruit, and cookies 24/7 in the lobby. The staff was really nice when I asked for more hot water, etc. Nice activity room with a pool table and flat screen tv, plus board games. Hot tub (my only disappointment since we were really looking forward to it after a day of boarding - way too hot and heavily chlorinated), sauna, bathrobes. Free breakfast with pastries, hard boiled eggs, bagels, toast, lox, and more. This hotel was perfect for me and my bf. We would totally come back. A solid mid-range hotel in Mammoth.
