"It would have been hard to imagine a generation ago, but this stretch of Friedrichstrasse, just a few blocks north of Checkpoint Charlie, is again the commercial and cultural center of the unified Berlin. And with Berlin booming, there’s need for something that would have been doubly unthinkable: luxury suites intended for extended-stay executive travelers. This is where the Mandala Suites come in — the higher-end, all-suite sequel to the Mandala Hotel in Potsdamer Platz." - Tablet Hotels

We booked Mandala Suites for its laundry facilities, which were helpful but the laundry room is not open 24 hours so it requires some planning. It keeps the same hours as the reception (also not 24 hours): closes 8pm on weekdays and earlier on weekends. ||I booked the Business Suite and was placed in the larger Management Suite. The apartment is very spacious and provided a great place to relax. But it is awkwardly designed for a long stay. There is so much space and there are two desks but there is NOT a dining area to eat. The kitchenette only had one pot for cooking; no pans, no cutting board, no coffeemaker, no toaster. The refrigerator is filled with the hotel's drinks (to charge you if you use) so there is less room for your own food. Microwave and plates, bowls, etc are in a cupboard above your head--could be difficult to manage if you're not tall. I hand washed any dishes I used and put them on the counter to air dry and every day the housekeeping washes them again in the dishwasher. ||We stayed for 4 nights. One day the housekeeping did not replace the kitchen trash bag. But the other days the rooms were immaculate. ||Overall I enjoyed the location and the space but there is room for improvement to make it great.

We stayed for 3 night in a studio. Location: right in the central, historic sites, restaurants are within walking distance. Impeccably clean and modern. Towels and robes are new and decent. We had an issue with the basin and it was fixed immediately. Great price for such a place. Highly recommend.

What an enjoy experience this was staying at the Mandala Suites on Friedrichstraße. Highly recommend staying at this location if you want to have all of Berlin easily accessible to you, whilst also enjoying the comfort and quietness the hotel provides. Two thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻.

We spent 8 days here in early September and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is next to a U-station (U2/U6 lines) making it easy to get to many sites of interest. The rooms were clean, comfortable, dark enough at night for a good nights rest and very quiet. The staff were very professional and helpful. They arranged an early morning taxi to the airport with no issues.

I had an amazing 3-night stay at this hotel in Berlin. Everything was truly superb — the bed was incredibly comfortable, the pillows were perfect, and I slept better than I have in a long time. The room was quiet, clean, and cozy, making it easy to relax after a full day exploring the city. The location is also fantastic — close to everything, with great access to public transport and walking distance from many of Berlin’s top spots. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended and I would definitely come back! ☺️🙏♥️

Pros: Spacious, new and clean room. Good water pressure and full service apartment facilities ||Central location - near to train/shopping centre /supermarket/Rausch choco/ restaurants ( kamps and german beer hall just below)||Concierge was also v responsive and helpful, allowed early check in/late check out||||Cons: pillow rather soft for liking, room can be abit dark at night

Google
What a perfect place to stay in Berlin. It was ideally situated in proximity to restaurants, shops, and the meeting point for our tour. It is "technically" a long stay apartment, so we had plenty of space, with a kitchenette, refrigerator, dishes, etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and always available with local suggestions. We couldn't have asked for more.

Yelp
Excellent location and spacious room! On our first trip to Berlin, we picked The Mandala Suites as our hotel. Overall, we had a pleasant experience despite some recommendations for improvement. The pros and cons of the hotel are as follows. Pros: 1) Excellent location Located in the Mitt area of Berlin, The Mandala Suites is in an excellent location with the train station Stadmitt within 1-2 minutes walk. In addition, the hotel is close to some upscale shopping and wonderful restaurants. The restaurant The Maximillans is near the ground floor of the hotel, and it offers delicious German food with a generous portion. The chocolates Raush, Neuhaus, and Landeros are also close by. 2) Spacious room with balcony and kitchenette One outstanding feature of the hotel is its spacious room. Our hotel room is more like a suite (500 square feet), with a bedroom, living room, kitchenette, balcony, toilet room, shower room, and wonderful closet space. It is also quiet despite unless an ambulance drives by. 3) Amenities The amenities offered are good, with gym, saunas, and a laundry room. The laundry room is free to use and comes in handy during a long vacation. Cons: 1) Awkward hours (needs to improve) The reception office is open 8 am to 8 pm during weekends and reduced hours during the weekend. If the reception office is closed, there are extra hoops to jump through if you need to check in during off hours. In addition, all amenities (gym/saunas/laundry) are unavailable if the reception office is closed. 2) Limited selection at breakfast buffet The breakfast buffet is mostly cold food, such as cereals, yogurt, fruits, cheese, ham, and bread. Guests can have hard-boiled eggs and beverages made to order, but the kitchen will not offer scrambled eggs or warm toast. 3) Small gym and saunas The gym is quite small with three to four machines for cardios and 2 weight benches with free weight. The saunas are also small, and you will need to notify the reception office to turn it on 30 minutes in advance before use. Our room rate was $280 a night with breakfast buffet included. The staff are friendly and helpful. The awkward hours make travel planning inconvenient, as one can not use the gym or the laundry except if you stay in the hotel during the day, which makes no sense during vacation. If the hotel will adjust their operations hours, I would highly recommend!

Yelp
Wanted more of a hotel feel than an apartment. There isn't a pool, bar, or lobby. The reception area is only open until 8-10 depending on the day. If you arrive after, you will have to check in with security and pray they have your information. If not, it might take awhile before you get into your room. The rooms are nice and have a kitchen which includes a microwave, stove, small refrigerator, and sink but the room itself has an odd layout. The toilet is on the other side of the room from the shower. (This might have only been the layout of my room but I doubt it since I wasn't in a corner room). They also have very small TVs. The one in the bedroom might have been 26 This hotel would be great for someone staying a week or more because of the kitchen.

Yelp
stayed here for a week long stay in Berlin and loved it here! the set-up is a bit weird since these are serviced apartments. the check-in lobby is only open during certain hours so when we arrived around 9pm at night, it was closed and the building security desk had our keys and information...we had to officially check-in the next morning when the lobby was open. wasn't too big of a deal, but just fyi in case you are arriving after business hours. the staff was extremely helpful and spoke English which was great for us non German speakers. had no issues with Housekeeping the entire time and always found the room to be cleaned after a day out sightseeing. also front desk was able to store our luggage for us before our flight later in the day which was very convenient. also really convenient is the hotel's location! right off the bat, loved the Maximillans restaurant in the building which is open late for German food and beer - was a lifesaver when we arrived late and hungry haha. the Stadtmitte U-Bahn station is on the same block too which will get you on the U2 or U6 lines and it's extremely easy to get around the city. loved the convenience of having that station right outside my door for sightseeing...or it was a 20-ish min walk to the Museum island area, Hackescher markt, and Parliament areas. i found the area around the hotel itself to be more upscale in terms of dining options and nightlife, but there are cafes nearby for cheaper options or a quick subway ride away will get you cooler options haha the suite itself was super spacious as well! comfy king bed, a sitting area, and little kitchenette was really nice to have. big fan of the instant coffee and hot water warmer that they provide too haha. the microwave proved to helpful too to heat up leftovers. breakfast was included in our rate and it's served on the top floor with a really nice view of the city. its buffet style with mostly cold cuts and pastries. you can also get boiled eggs and coffee drinks which was cool. not sure for an 18 euro price tag that it's worth it esp when there are plenty of coffee shops right outside the hotel. overall great option for business or leisure travelers to berlin - great location, lots of convenient transport options, and very comfy & clean rooms.

Yelp
I recently stayed in this hotel in September for a business trip for a total of 11 nights. Location is pretty good being right in Stadmitte and near the U-Bahn station. There is a Commerzbank right across the street along with a mini grocery store. Right on the first floor in the same building is a fairly decent German restaurant with a large indoor patio. Also a bunch of cafe options along the street. Aside from the not so comfy bed and somewhat odd layout of the suites I did appreciate having a kitchen with some counter appliances. Most of all I loved that we were able to do laundry, for FREE. The breakfast lounge on the top floor has a beautiful view of the city though I did not partake in the buffet given the price and the options. (mostly tapas and tea) Not sure if I would stay here again unless for lengthy business trips. Free laundry and great location will play into that decision as well.
