The Mandala Suites (Berlin, Germany) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"It would have been hard to imagine a generation ago, but this stretch of Friedrichstrasse, just a few blocks north of Checkpoint Charlie, is again the commercial and cultural center of the unified Berlin. And with Berlin booming, there’s need for something that would have been doubly unthinkable: luxury suites intended for extended-stay executive travelers. This is where the Mandala Suites come in — the higher-end, all-suite sequel to the Mandala Hotel in Potsdamer Platz." - Tablet Hotels

I had an amazing 3-night stay at this hotel in Berlin. Everything was truly superb — the bed was incredibly comfortable, the pillows were perfect, and I slept better than I have in a long time. The room was quiet, clean, and cozy, making it easy to relax after a full day exploring the city. The location is also fantastic — close to everything, with great access to public transport and walking distance from many of Berlin’s top spots. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended and I would definitely come back! ☺️🙏♥️

Location was ideal. Just a few steps from the train. It was well furnished with everything including so many little things like wash cloths, tissues, shower caps, tea bags, etc. Housekeeping refreshed the room each day which was unexpected. Plenty of space and the outdoor balcony was a nice place to unwind after a day of touring the city. The automatic window shades were great since our windows faced west. AC worked great on the few days that we needed it. Nice to have the toilet separate from the shower.||||Minor things of note:||The living room furniture was a little outdated and the seating height was very low even for someone only 5'4". Might be more uncomfortable for a tall person. For us, though, it wasn't a big deal since we didn't hang out there much.||We arrived on a Monday in June. Info said the office opened at 8am and we arrived at 8:15am but no one was in the office. It turned out that day was a German holiday, so no one arrived until 9am. Wished the property had communicated we would be checking in on the day of a German holiday. After contacting the number for the property, we were directed to the security person to gain access but unfortunately the person did not speak English and could not help us.

We were most impressed with our apartment at the Mandala Suites, everything was top notch and made for a very comfortable stay. It was clean and spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable and we made good use of the kitchen. Over the road was a well stocked supermarket and there were cafes everywhere around us. Thanks you, we will come back.

I had a wonderful stay at The Mandala Suites. Everything was excellent – from the delicious breakfast to the spacious, well-equipped rooms. The location is perfect, and the atmosphere is both elegant and relaxing. The staff is friendly and helpful. A truly great choice for both short city breaks and longer stays. Highly recommended!

There was a bit of a safety concern: there is supposedly a deadbolt: if you turn the handle upwards, it locks the door another layer. However, it is not a true deadbolt. It happened on 2 occasions that someone was able to open the door with a keycard from the outside, even though I had a “do not disturb” sign. From then on, I needed to put chairs and extra barricades behind the door at night, to feel safe. This was inconvenient. The laundry facility was on another wing, and only had 3 machines for the entire (very large) building! You need to go and come back for 10 minutes several times to be lucky and find an available machine. Also inconvenient. Other than that, it was very good. The staff was friendly, helpful and very responsive. The location is very good if you want to stay in the center. The room size was enormous by European standards. The kitchen was complete. There is a large organic supermarket just in front, a coffee chain (Einstein) in the same building, and many other amenities nearby. I would suggest they install a true deadbolt, or at least a chain. In that case, I would definitely return.

The hotel was in a central location, and we were able to walk everywhere. The room was very clean. Since our flight was late, they kindly allowed us to check in late and leave our luggage afterwards. I was very satisfied with our stay and would love to stay here again when I return. Thank you for everything!

Excellent property with tons of shopping and restaurants outside. Afternoon manager-Mr Ati was absolutely excellent. ||||Free laundry machines and dryers, washing powder is also provided in the laundry room.

Yelp
Excellent location and spacious room! On our first trip to Berlin, we picked The Mandala Suites as our hotel. Overall, we had a pleasant experience despite some recommendations for improvement. The pros and cons of the hotel are as follows. Pros: 1) Excellent location Located in the Mitt area of Berlin, The Mandala Suites is in an excellent location with the train station Stadmitt within 1-2 minutes walk. In addition, the hotel is close to some upscale shopping and wonderful restaurants. The restaurant The Maximillans is near the ground floor of the hotel, and it offers delicious German food with a generous portion. The chocolates Raush, Neuhaus, and Landeros are also close by. 2) Spacious room with balcony and kitchenette One outstanding feature of the hotel is its spacious room. Our hotel room is more like a suite (500 square feet), with a bedroom, living room, kitchenette, balcony, toilet room, shower room, and wonderful closet space. It is also quiet despite unless an ambulance drives by. 3) Amenities The amenities offered are good, with gym, saunas, and a laundry room. The laundry room is free to use and comes in handy during a long vacation. Cons: 1) Awkward hours (needs to improve) The reception office is open 8 am to 8 pm during weekends and reduced hours during the weekend. If the reception office is closed, there are extra hoops to jump through if you need to check in during off hours. In addition, all amenities (gym/saunas/laundry) are unavailable if the reception office is closed. 2) Limited selection at breakfast buffet The breakfast buffet is mostly cold food, such as cereals, yogurt, fruits, cheese, ham, and bread. Guests can have hard-boiled eggs and beverages made to order, but the kitchen will not offer scrambled eggs or warm toast. 3) Small gym and saunas The gym is quite small with three to four machines for cardios and 2 weight benches with free weight. The saunas are also small, and you will need to notify the reception office to turn it on 30 minutes in advance before use. Our room rate was $280 a night with breakfast buffet included. The staff are friendly and helpful. The awkward hours make travel planning inconvenient, as one can not use the gym or the laundry except if you stay in the hotel during the day, which makes no sense during vacation. If the hotel will adjust their operations hours, I would highly recommend!

Yelp
Wanted more of a hotel feel than an apartment. There isn't a pool, bar, or lobby. The reception area is only open until 8-10 depending on the day. If you arrive after, you will have to check in with security and pray they have your information. If not, it might take awhile before you get into your room. The rooms are nice and have a kitchen which includes a microwave, stove, small refrigerator, and sink but the room itself has an odd layout. The toilet is on the other side of the room from the shower. (This might have only been the layout of my room but I doubt it since I wasn't in a corner room). They also have very small TVs. The one in the bedroom might have been 26 This hotel would be great for someone staying a week or more because of the kitchen.

Yelp
stayed here for a week long stay in Berlin and loved it here! the set-up is a bit weird since these are serviced apartments. the check-in lobby is only open during certain hours so when we arrived around 9pm at night, it was closed and the building security desk had our keys and information...we had to officially check-in the next morning when the lobby was open. wasn't too big of a deal, but just fyi in case you are arriving after business hours. the staff was extremely helpful and spoke English which was great for us non German speakers. had no issues with Housekeeping the entire time and always found the room to be cleaned after a day out sightseeing. also front desk was able to store our luggage for us before our flight later in the day which was very convenient. also really convenient is the hotel's location! right off the bat, loved the Maximillans restaurant in the building which is open late for German food and beer - was a lifesaver when we arrived late and hungry haha. the Stadtmitte U-Bahn station is on the same block too which will get you on the U2 or U6 lines and it's extremely easy to get around the city. loved the convenience of having that station right outside my door for sightseeing...or it was a 20-ish min walk to the Museum island area, Hackescher markt, and Parliament areas. i found the area around the hotel itself to be more upscale in terms of dining options and nightlife, but there are cafes nearby for cheaper options or a quick subway ride away will get you cooler options haha the suite itself was super spacious as well! comfy king bed, a sitting area, and little kitchenette was really nice to have. big fan of the instant coffee and hot water warmer that they provide too haha. the microwave proved to helpful too to heat up leftovers. breakfast was included in our rate and it's served on the top floor with a really nice view of the city. its buffet style with mostly cold cuts and pastries. you can also get boiled eggs and coffee drinks which was cool. not sure for an 18 euro price tag that it's worth it esp when there are plenty of coffee shops right outside the hotel. overall great option for business or leisure travelers to berlin - great location, lots of convenient transport options, and very comfy & clean rooms.

Yelp
I recently stayed in this hotel in September for a business trip for a total of 11 nights. Location is pretty good being right in Stadmitte and near the U-Bahn station. There is a Commerzbank right across the street along with a mini grocery store. Right on the first floor in the same building is a fairly decent German restaurant with a large indoor patio. Also a bunch of cafe options along the street. Aside from the not so comfy bed and somewhat odd layout of the suites I did appreciate having a kitchen with some counter appliances. Most of all I loved that we were able to do laundry, for FREE. The breakfast lounge on the top floor has a beautiful view of the city though I did not partake in the buffet given the price and the options. (mostly tapas and tea) Not sure if I would stay here again unless for lengthy business trips. Free laundry and great location will play into that decision as well.
