I had a wonderful stay at Elstree Manor. The interior is truly unique, with a beautiful mixture of Laura Ashley design elements combined with fascinating features inspired by parts of ships from the Spanish Armada. It creates a relaxing and character-filled environment, perfect for enjoying a quiet drink. The rooms were clean, tidy, comfortable, and warm, making for a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was outstanding — honestly one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had in a hotel. A special mention goes to Joanne, the receptionist, who was absolutely top class. She was incredibly friendly, kind, and genuinely welcoming, which really made the stay even better. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

This lovely Hotel is a jewel in Hertfordshire, located 10 minutes away from Elstree and Borehamwood station. The new management absolutely transformed the place, the Bar is so posh and elegant! I’ve been here 2 years ago, and I can say it’s complete transformed into a stunning place! The food was great, we had dinner and breakfast at the Hotel, and I cannot praise them enough. Very friendly and professional staff in the bar, restaurant and reception. The room was very clean, the bedlinen imaculate, and the lobby was lovely and clean too. Nice accessories throughout! They have a huge and stunning marquee outside, and the staff told me they do fantastic parties and weddings. Oh and I loved the cocktail choices they have in the Bar !!!

Lovely hotel, room was clean, tidy and queit well equipped. Could do with a plug near the bed. Remember to take a long cable as the plug is the other side of the room. Ate in the bar, good food, good portion size. Breakfast was cooked to order and very nice. Shame they use such a cheap orange juice, very bitter & nasty. (I used to be an importer, so I know what I'm saying). But all in all a lovely hotel, set in beautiful grounds and not far from the town and road network.

I absolutely love this Hotel. The site, the grounds, the stunningly natural views and the staff just make our stay complete. Carolyn/Caroline, Joanne and Amin made our stay ever so comfortable. We received above and beyond customer service combined with the wonderful warming welcome and traditional hospitality. The food for breakfast is simple yet effective. The made to order English breakfast was cooked brilliantly. Our room was spotless and had so much character with a beautiful view to top it. I will come again and again and again. Thank you

We have just checked out after one night. My husband comes to Elstree once a month and has used the Manor for almost 5-6 years. I have been on some occasions, but this time saw a drastic change in it.||Our standard double room was just that. Standard!|The bed was very small, pillows uncomfortable and room hot.|The bathroom, although having a fancy Japanese style toilet, really, really needs gutting to say the least.|The grout is mucky, as is behind the sink, the shower sits over a bath with an old fashioned bath protector that is a grimey colour. At the bottom of the bath panel, paintwork has come off all the way along, there's no bin, the cups are the cheapest form of squishy plastic (no glass cups), no flannels or box of tissues, and the whole room really does need renovating.|There are no waters in the room either. ||Walking from our room to the restaurant, you have to walk the gauntlet of freezing temperatures as none of the radiators are on.||The dining area, again is now in need attention decorating wise... If you sit by some windows you are very cold although the view is lovely - whilst sitting by a radiator you roast as they're on full, there doesn't seem to be a happy medium in temperature settings. Christmas lights are up - inside the restaurant area... but rather than a subdued setting, they're on a multi flashy setting which isn't very conducive to evening dining.||Our evening meal was very nice, but served on cold plates. |Breakfast was good. ||Sadly, this visit has really put us off what used to be a lovely hotel and a joy to stay in. |All in all, I wouldn't consider this value for money. ||We will now reconsider staying elsewhere next time. The best Christmas party I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco, which set a lovely festive mood. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared and full of flavour. The service was professional, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening. To top it all off, the DJ created a fantastic atmosphere, keeping everyone entertained and making the night truly memorable. 🎄🥂

The hotel is beautiful and you can really feel its rich history. It is wonderfully decorated, with an abundance of glowing and twinkling lights. We came for the weekend and were lucky enough to experience a Christmas party — we even received an invitation to a disco organised by the hotel.|The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was served buffet-style, and the dinner was absolutely delicious.|I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back.

I had a really positive experience at The Manor, Elstree, and that is largely down to the wonderful Jo at reception. Jo couldn't do enough for me and gave me a truly 5* level of customer service, which feels rare to come by these days. Well situated, very affordable, pleasant room with a comfy bed and a roaring fire in the evening (in reception, not the bedroom).

Yelp
I was delighted to find this quaint jewel nestled upon the trees in Elstree. The staff here is excellent and very friendly. The hotel is a bit older but not run down it has the charm you would expect from an older building. They have added some newer furniture in the bar area making it comfortable. The outside area is probably amazing in the spring and summer. It is a bit cold now to be outside but I was able to push through the cold and enjoy a Gin Martini on the patio. The sounds of birds chirping is what you should expect to hear when you wake up in the morning.

Yelp
After booking the hotel 3 months ago and getting a confirmation, the hotel sent an email to cancell the last 4 days of our stay. This was done 2 weeks before our stay, forcing us to make other arrangements. Totally unprofessional for a hotel. Do not trust this hotel.

Yelp
If I could give 6 stars I would! It really and truly doesn't get better than this incredible, historical, immaculately maintained. And what view over the rolling hills and fields! You feel like you're driving into a country estate and arrive in a palatial, authentic Tudor style manor. The food (we had fish and chips - the best!), the tea and the service is just flawless. What a beautiful place to go and retreat or do work with their free WiFi. I live in LA but upon my regular visits to see my parents in London, I will certainly be coming back and hope one day to stay at the hotel - wowie!!
