We were fortunate to have booked several nights at the Manner House during our two-week trip to Scotland. The inn’s location is excellent. Situated directly on the bay with beautiful views of the bay, Oban, and the isles beyond. Everything in town was a quick easy walk. The staff was fantastic. We took the ferry to Mull early one morning and thus were going to miss their scrumptious breakfast, but no problem. The staff packed us a picnic bag including fruit, yogurt, sandwiches, crisps, and drinks. I would definitely rate this inn as one of the top two we stayed in during our entire trip.

With Storm Bert raging outside, my wife and I were doubly pleased to receive a warm welcome at the Hotel with a log fire already blazing in the Lounge. Extremely friendly check in was followed by pre-dinner drinks in the beautifully appointed historic Bar. Dinner was delicious and well presented by the efficient staff. We could barely hear the storm blowing outside overnight and our room remained warm and cosy throughout. A delicious, freshly prepared breakfast back in the dining room set us up for an all too soon departure but we look forward to returning next year having at last found an Oban favourite Hotel after 30+ years of lovely visits to the town!

Our stay at the Manor House was a highlight of our trip. We hadn't made plans for dinner but ended up deciding on having dinner at the house. It was a wonderful experience. Drinks by the fire before dinner while perusing the menu and then waiting for dinner to be prepared. Dinner was great and then we had an after dinner drink in the bar. The three stages were made a great experience.|Stephen as very friendly and helpful and available all the time.|David was a real treat. We've been doing lots of whiskey tasting and we had a very engaging discussion with a lot of local depth that we haven't been able to pick up. Lots of great and valuable thoughts and recommendations.|Overall, a really outstanding stay. We're really happy/feel lucky we found the Manor House and that they were available for our stay.|To David and Stephen and the rest of the staff: Thanks!

We were so excited to stay at this hotel along our journey in Scotland two weeks ago, but we ultimately were disappointed. At check-in around 3:30pm, the manager was extremely warm and accommodating, and he recommended, among other things, that we let him know if we'd like to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. He told us they had ample availability at any time we'd prefer. We thought that sounded good but wanted to walk into town before we committed. ||Around 45-60 minutes later, I called the hotel to inform them that we'd love to dine with them. The manager answered the phone, then very coldly told me they were fully booked. I let him know we were guests and that we'd just checked in 45 minutes ago, and he said "oh, yes, I know who you are...we are now fully booked for tonight." ||45 minutes before the manager told us that they had availability at any time we'd like, but now they were completely unable to accommodate us. It felt very distant, cold, and we felt unwelcome the rest of our stay. ||I'd recommend staying somewhere with friendlier, more accommodating customer service when paying for such an expensive property.

We have booked this little hotel for 1 night and can t recommand it enough !!||The location is top not far from the ferry and just far enough from the hussle and bussle of Oban. ||We were very pleased with the warm welcome of the staff, our cosy room and comfortable bed, the stunning view from the terrasses.||Unfortunately they did not service dinner the night of our stay but they provided us with reservation and recommandation of a nice restaurant in Oban ( a stroll away) ||The breakfast was excellent and a blissful start of the day. ||Service and stay topnosh, highly recommanded !

From the moment you enter this cosy hotel, you are made to feel special. Dinners and breakfasts were exceptional with attention to detail in the presentation. The tastiest food we have had in Scotland. Sharing a drink with other guests by the roaring fire was so enjoyable.

This was the absolute best place we stayed on our visit to Scotland! We only stayed on night, and it’s my one regret from the trip that we didn’t stay longer. The welcome and service was excellent, the room was perfect, and the breakfast service was delicious! I want to plan a trip back just to visit the accommodations again!

I am so happy I booked this hotel as part of our 1 week vacation in Scotland. We rented a car, and this hotel has ample parking for guests which I wanted to avoid paying to park in-town. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the port where the restaurants and shops are. Breakfasts here were delicious and impeccably served as was the one dinner we enjoyed during our stay. David is a NATIONAL TREASURE who made us feel at home in a foreign place. He is funny and charming and knows everything about town of you need a recommendation, from whisky at the bar to dinner reservations. Would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Atmospheric country house-style hotel well-placed overlooking Oban harbour. Easy walk from station or ferries, off-road parking. Our room was large and comfortable with a great view of the harbour. The restaurant serves a classic Scottish breakfast, and the dinners (menu changes daily: we stayed 3 nights) showcase the local seafood and meat. The food was very good. There is a modernised but not antiseptic bar and a very comfortable residents' lounge. Service throughout was excellent. It is not cheap, but good value for money if you want to push the boat out a bit for a special break away.
