We recently stayed two nights at the Manor House and both the hotel and Oban were one of our favorite parts of our Scotland trip. The Manor House is in a beautiful location on the water with a view of the town, close enough to easily walk downtown but with enough distance to be totally quiet (with parking!). The property is beautifully decorated with lovely public spaces (living room, bar, breakfast room). Our room was on the second floor with a nice view of the harbor. It was a little small, but in perfect condition and had lots of light from windows on two sides. The bathroom is modern, a little small, but not a problem. Breakfast is served in a lovely breakfast room, with a full menu, all made to order. While the hotel does not have a restaurant, it has a very wide variety of "bar snacks" available in the bar in the evenings. I'd argue they are way more than "snacks", for example, there are charcuterie and cheese platters, quiche, pasta and more. On one night, we made dinner out of the plates on offer, enjoying the view. Last but not least, the staff is terrific -- friendly, helpful, always wanting to please, and great about sharing tips for your stay in Oban. As we drove into town we had noticed signs for the Oban Games and on arrival at the hotel, Lorna explained everything about the Games and what we should do to participate - which made for a terrific day in Oban. It's an interesting town with great history, interesting harbor, unique shops, and terrific seafood! And the Manor House is a super place to stay.

We are a family of six, spanning 3 generations, and we all enjoyed our stay at the Manor House. We were greeted warmly and our host was so helpful. He even arranged for an over-sized taxi to transport us to a local restaurant. | The rooms were freshly updated and the bathrooms had been modernized. One of our rooms was graced with a claw-foot tub. Another of our rooms had a beautiful view of the water. Everything inside the hotel maintained the classic atmosphere we expected from the external appearance of the hotel. | The cooked-to-order breakfast was fantastic. The orange juice was freshly-squeezed and was absolutely delicious .| But our server deserves special attention. She was extraordinary--attentive, friendly and she somehow managed to serve a dining room full of guests without missing a beat. A very enjoyable stay for all of us.

Great, unforgettable stay - comfortable room with amazing view and amazing staff. Every single person we interacted with at the hotel was fab - from the receptionist who helped with our check in and luggage, to Claudia at the breakfast lounge (she is the most attentive to your every need, David the whisky connoisseur (please do check out the incredible whisky menu for your night cap), to the lady at the reception who gave us amazing recommendations of Oban.

We have spent 3 nights at this hotel and the staff looking after us were absolutely amazing (special shout to Steven, David, Lorna and Claudia). Every need was catered for and every question answered in detail with helpful information for traveling around and places we wanted to visit (and in some cases the answers were delivered with bags of humour!).||We were lucky with the weather which allowed us to make the most of the garden which offers fantastic views to relax of an evening. (Amazing setting offering a beautiful view of the bay).||Breakfast was delicious, and all catering needs were taken into account. Claudia did an amazing job of looking after a room full of guests and getting everything absolutely right.

We stopped at The Manor House in Oban for a drink on their beautiful terrace and were not disappointed. The views over Oban Bay were stunning, and the peaceful, private setting was a perfect retreat after the bustle of the town. The drinks were excellent, and the relaxed atmosphere and lovely server and guests made it a truly enjoyable stop. The private beach at the bottom of the garden was a wonderful surprise too, adding to the charm of this hidden gem. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and take in the scenery.

We stayed two nights at The Manor House in Oban. On arrival we were given a friendly greeting and warm welcome. We were shown around all the facilities in the building. Our room was ready and everything we needed in the room was exactly as we saw it in the pictures when we booked. We had a room on the roadside, which was not too noisy. The breakfast was table service with plenty of choice and delicious. The hotel had an EV charger for the car which was fantastic, at a good rate. It was within easy walking distance to the town. I would definitely recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed. Nothing was too much for the friendly staff.

We had the great pleasure of visiting the Manor House today for Afternoon Tea with a group of 14 people. I have experienced many Afternoon Teas across the UK over the years, but I can say without any doubt: this was the best Afternoon Tea I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and outstanding hospitality. The entire team made us feel incredibly welcome and taken care of — friendly, attentive, and always ensuring that every detail was perfect for our group. The food was truly exceptional. The sandwiches were fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The scones were absolutely divine — perfectly baked, light and fluffy, and served warm with delicious clotted cream and jam. The cakes and sweets were a masterpiece in both appearance and taste — each one crafted with great care and offering wonderful, delicate flavours that delighted us all. Our whole group was absolutely thrilled with this unforgettable experience. We would like to express our deepest thanks and highest appreciation to the entire team at the Manor House for making this such a special and memorable occasion. We will most definitely return and can wholeheartedly recommend the Manor House to anyone looking for an Afternoon Tea of the highest standard.

We had three rooms here in May, for six of us. Rooms are immaculate. Clean, attractive and comfortable! The staff made us feel so welcome and spoiled. David, especially, was a pleasure to talk to as we enjoyed drinks outside, on the evening of our arrival. You cannot beat the view of the sunset. We have beautiful pictures in the garden of our family that we will forever cherish! It's an easy walk into Oban to go to the distillery, shops and restaurants. This was our favorite breakfast of our travels, especially for our vegan! We would love to return, and highly recommend.

Atmospheric country house-style hotel well-placed overlooking Oban harbour. Easy walk from station or ferries, off-road parking. Our room was large and comfortable with a great view of the harbour. The restaurant serves a classic Scottish breakfast, and the dinners (menu changes daily: we stayed 3 nights) showcase the local seafood and meat. The food was very good. There is a modernised but not antiseptic bar and a very comfortable residents' lounge. Service throughout was excellent. It is not cheap, but good value for money if you want to push the boat out a bit for a special break away.
