The Manor House Hotel

Stayed here for three nights over Christmas with my family. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were treated like honoured guests. Nothing was too much trouble and every staff member we encountered was kind, cheerful, caring and helpful. The food was exceptional, beautifully presented and served.|The hotel itself was comfortable and very clean. Our room was nicely presented and the en-suite was very clean with a large walk in shower well stocked with Molton Brown toiletries. |We would certainly like to stay again at such a friendly well run hotel.

We had a brilliant and relaxing time at the Manor House over NYE and NYD.||Even though we booked late our room was lovely, stylish, spotless and warm. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and felt at home very quickly.||Excellent cocktails and a good wine list added to our enjoyment and the food was really very, very good indeed. I would pick out the breakfast, superb bacon and the full English was presented with such care. The steak tartar was exceptional, as was the beef shot rib, the venison and the bass. The mandarin tart was a real treat.||All the staff we met were charming and very welcoming and helpful but will put special word in for three who really stood out:||• Josh on the bar on the first night who was a delight, utterly charming, quick, efficient and great fun.|• Ryan in the bar and the restaurant on both nights. Again he served us with really charm and warmth and we noticed how fast and efficient he was with other guests – a Maître d’ or manager in waiting there - we both thought! |• And last but not least waitress Wendy, who worked so hard during two very busy evenings. Even though she was under considerable pressure dealing with demanding guests and stressed colleagues, she remained calm and focused on providing really good service. Such a wonderful smile and a real talent for anticipating what guests needed.||We are so glad we chose the Manor House Hotel for our impromptu NYE and retirement celebrations and plan to return.

Fantastic two days away. All staff attentive, friendly and happy (always a good sign). Food to die for - everything we ate was outstanding, great produce cooked to perfection. Gorgeous comfortable room. Surpassed all expectations and we love Chickpea pubs. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We have just returned from a 6 night xmas break at this lovely hotel, our first 3 nights were in a deluxe double on the 1st floor overlooking high street. A beautiful room, with cosy armchairs and huge bathroom with double shower and a roll top bath with everything you need. Our 2nd room was in another part of the Manor this time a classic double, a lot smaller, but very quiet and comfortable overlooking the garden. We loved the log fires in the large library /lounge with a choice of board games and we spent one afternoon in the Snug, a smaller lounge playing Monopoly by the log fire and chilling out. Our Idealic Chrismas retreat. There was a choice of places to dine, The Beagle bar, Mulberry Restaurant or our favourite the Conservatory. It was just so pretty at night overlooking the gardens. Kosta the restaurant manager and his team were always very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, contrary to recent reviews, all our Breakfast and Evening meals were cooked to order, piping hot and plentiful. David the General Manager and his deputy Emma were around all the time, I dont think we have ever stayed in a hotel where each day management have taken the time to speak to each and every guest, asking if everything was okay, were we enjoying our stay, but never in an intrusive way. We would just like to thank them and all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

Lovely experience at the Manor House Hotel restaurant. Beautiful setting with a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The food was well presented and full of flavour, and the menu felt thoughtfully put together. Service was incredible and the staff are very attentive, and unhurried, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Especially Lindsey, she was super attentive and very friendly! A great spot for a special occasion or a relaxed meal — would happily return.

I visited today for a pre Christmas lunch with friends. The bar and restaurant staff were efficient and friendly. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the hotel which was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We had the set 3 course lunch menu which was good value and excellent quality. What really made our visit extra special was the faultless service in the restaurant by Costa. He was attentive, helpful and incredibly funny. Thank you Costa for making our visit so memorable and we hope to see you again on our next visit.

An absolute gem. Beautiful hotel, wonderful service with friendly attentive staff. Rooms are clean and well appointed with Molton Brown toiletries. Visited in Oct so chilly out but hotel cosy and warm throughout. Dogs welcome and even offered a sausage at breakfast! Excellent drinks menu and food delicous. Highly recommend. We will definitely come back.

I arrived at The Manor House Hotel after an overnight flight from Heathrow Airport. The drive took about 1 hour and 45 minutes, with some charming but narrow one-lane roads along the way. We arrived during the day and easily found parking in front of the hotel. The staff kindly explained that we could also park in the back, where additional spaces are available.||The hotel itself is beautifully traditional, with that classic English charm. We stayed in the Orchid Room, which was spacious, comfortable, and pleasantly updated. While the building maintains its historic character, the bathroom and amenities were very modern. It was a bit chilly when we arrived, but the front desk team was incredibly helpful—they showed us how to warm our towels and adjust the room temperature.||The service was outstanding. One staff member helped us with our luggage, and another lady—who spoke Spanish like me—was exceptionally kind and attentive.||We dined at the hotel’s restaurant, The Mulberry, on both nights of our stay. The food was excellent—beautifully presented and delicious. The rock sea bass was outstanding, and they were very careful about our food allergies. Breakfast was included and equally wonderful, with plenty of high-quality options.||The hotel grounds are lovely, with well-kept gardens and elegant rooms for events or gatherings.||We truly loved our stay at The Manor House Hotel and would absolutely return. Highly recommended!

Room had slanted ceilings making it feel somewhat claustrophobic. Bathroom had peeling pain, pealing wallpaper and black mold, The breakfast was very good and definitely the best part our stay, the gardens were also quite nice. Customer service was not friendly. Frequently, when walking past front desk we were not acknowledged at all. Overall, would not recommend

Oh, Manor House - you're beautiful and memorable, there's no denying that part. Manor House was our splurge night during a cross-Cotswolds walking trip. The idyllic, remote countryside setting was hard to resist. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated in traditional English country style and the grounds are beautifully kept with natural English gardens in both the front and back. Our room was very clean and well-appointed with little biscuits, tea and a lovely big tub. Why not five stars? 1.) we had brought local cheese and crackers with us to enjoy in the front garden for a little picnic and were told we couldn't have "outside" food there and would need to make purchases which was off putting given the great setting and that there was literally no one else out there. 2.) The food in the restaurant is *so* delicious but the atmosphere could really use some work. It felt like we were in a sterile cruise ship dining room with awkward music playing and near silence. It felt like this room had a different decor style from much of the remainder of the Manor. Some simple tweaks like a change of music and different wallpaper/chairs could make the dining room experience 5 stars.

British hospitality at its finest! From the moment we checked in the reception staff were welcoming (they do have a parking lot if needed) housekeeping was efficient & courteous but the food & beverage staff were incredible! The food was consistently delicious and the tipples were perfect! Made our visit to the Cotswolds memorable.

Charming little hotel in the Cotswolds. Love the town and this place. Our room is small, but decorated beautifully. Lovely outdoor garden for drinks, dinner, breakfast in the morning. I could stay here for a week! Food is average, but that is not why I am here. Biking the Cotswolds and loving the scenery and small towns where time has stood still for hundreds of years.

Situated in a beautiful area with lovely garden, will be fantastic in the summer. Staff were very friendly and attentive, with a wrong cooked steak, this was replaced as quickly as possible. We dined in the Brasserie restaurant and was a nice quiet relaxed atmosphere.

Stayed here for one night during my visit to the Cotswolds..... so pleased that we chose this hotel. Right in the center of town, a beautiful old English hotel. Lovely decorations and the staff was outstanding. We arrived late and the restaurant was closed but the hotel manager went into the kitchen and made us sandwiches! That's hospitality!
