"Ah, to disappear into a thicket of dunes as the summer quiets to a close: At this rambling estate in sleepy Brewster, MA, near Cape Cod, it’s no daydream. The Mansion is one of two options at Ocean Edge (the other, Villages, overlooks the Cape’s sole Nicklaus-designed golf course, but is sadly deprived of direct beach access at Bay Pines), where rooms overlook the bay, and a beach, bar, and two pools are only a short footfall away. All told, it’s hard to resist the pull of this blue-blooded hideout, with its quintessentially Cape Cod décor (inoffensive shades of salmon, coral, and baby blue, and prim, white wooden furniture at every turn) and pleasantly low-key vibes. Test out your new set of whites at one of the nine on-site tennis courts, then celebrate your victory (and even a good-natured loss) with a Stress Solution facial at the spa. An unholy relaxation trifecta, the treatment advertises a gentle cleansing scrub, a head and neck massage dribbled in therapeutic oils, and a custom mask infused with calming plant extracts. Bayzo's pub is analogous to an English tavern, with creamy cups of clam chowder and a piano likely to launch you into Elton John renditions."

I brought my family to this place of a recommendation from a friend. I never would’ve have imagined such a beautiful gem in Massachusetts. Clear blue ocean with beautiful nature. Hotel service was excellent the room as beautiful and well kept. The beach was great as well, we went everyday and our server, Ivan, was especially helpful and was very polite and great to have during this trip.

We had such a great time at Ocean’s Edge! The property is beautiful and relaxing, and our room at The Mansion was clean, cozy, and just what we needed. The beach and pools were a highlight, and we loved the food and views at Ocean Terrace.||A special shoutout to Chelsey the bartender — she was so friendly and made our nights extra fun with great drinks and even better vibes. Already looking forward to our next trip back!

Stayed here in June. Loved the service at Shark bah!!! Archer, London, and Shan are all amazing. The weather was so hot but they made it cool! If you come here ask for them. They are 5 star.

I was very impressed with The Mansion at Ocean Edge Resort . All your staff was amazing and accommodating to my needs, Chelsey Raposa, the bartender really knows her mixology. Impressive, professional and talented. |Highly recommend.

I was impressed! In April I rented a room to 🥳 celebrate my birthday with a friend. I checked in & mentioned to the receptionist that I had a guest who would be joining me for my birthday stay. The room was very nice with a huge bathtub. I had hardly settled in when a bellman brought up an awesome piece of cheesecake with fruit, a birthday balloon, and a bottle of OceanEdge Champagne 🍾 Wow! My guest got a bit lost trying to find my room & Carl, the manager, was so kind to promptly & personally escort her to my room. Thank you Carl for an extra special birthday at OceanEdge!

I went to Ocean Edge for an annual work conference in May 2025. I found the grounds were well kept, my bed was super comfy, and I could not get out of that bathtub. It was amazing!

Couldn’t have end my 4th of July no other way, the front lawn games were top notch, the kids were inlove with Aaleyah and ladder ball. These Jamaican girls are extraordinary. Thank you again 🙂

Yelp
Our 3-day stay was wonderful. This, in large part because of manager Marc Bauman, who greeted us as we arrived and immediately set the tone for a relaxing and wonderful escape. Sharese at the Registration Desk also was so good at making a personal connection and attended to everything we needed. Both guided us through the resort amenities, made the stay feel special and are reasons we'll be back soon. The villa accommodations were quiet and comfortable and an easy walk to the beach. Ocean Edge Resort was a beautiful get-away for us - the private beach, front lawn scene and breakfasts on the open deck were all highlights. We had a great time. The resort's customer service is top notch and sets Ocean Edge apart from other choices.

Yelp
I cannot say enough great things about this resort. There is an abundance of activities that take place on premise, there is no reason to leave! We stayed on the links side which has 2 pools and a restaurant great for lunch. A golfers haven! The mansion had so many fun activities from bocce ball to potato sage races, pizza ovens going through the day, a beach with chairs for every guest, ocean front bar, terrace restaurant, and indoor pool if the weather isn't just right. 10/10 would stay here again and recommend to friends. @curlyq266

Yelp
We stayed here for a week as part of a TravelZoo deal. It was a little confusing, as we had never been here and didn't realize there are different areas to the resort. There is the beach side, where the mansions are, and then the golf side and villages. We stayed on Blueberry Pond, which was convenient to be close to the playground, pond/dock, and closer to the pool. Our unit wasn't as updated, but still nice. It was a little weird that we were charged a resort fee for daily activities, but if you wanted to do any of the activities you had to pay extra for them. You had to pay to borrow the bicycles, pay to try the archery, etc. Overall a positive experience and we would stay here again.

Yelp
review of the seaside open bar three stars only because it's a beautiful view. but without the view, it's way overpriced and service is abysmal. my Cape Cod friends brought me for the view, but I won't ask them to bring me again haha

Yelp
PHENOMENAL CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL SCENERY, EXCEPTIONAL FOOD! What a wonderful vacation my family and I had here! We started our trip on the Arbor Villages side -- which was beautiful. However was not our cup of tea as it mostly caters to guests who enjoy golf and sports. Our main objective was to be beach side, cocktail in hand and enjoy the beauty of Brewster. After one night at the Villa we had some issues with the Netflix on the TV. This was an issue for us as we have an 8 year old and need him to be entertained when in the villa. The manager John was very professional and truly cared about our concerns. He upgraded our stay to the mansion side which gives you access to the beach! He also treated us to breakfast. John was probably the most amazing manager I have ever met at a resort. He was very poised, classy and great communicator. You can tell he cares about his customers and their experience on the resort. If we had not met him our stay would not have been as amazing. The waitresses on the beach are absolutely amazing. It was an absolute dream to chill on the beach and have someone cater to us with cocktails and lunch. The shrimp cocktail was very fresh and the hotdog was honestly one of the best hotdogs I've ever had. The beach service overall was very organized and wonderful. If you are thinking of staying here, make sure to consider which side of the resort fancies you best. Mansion side you have beach access, pool, beautiful outdoor dining and everything in walking distance. The Villa side is also nice but it caters more to sports and golf, and you need to drive everywhere as this side is huge. You have access to the pond for kayaking, but no access to the beach. After experiencing both sides of the resort I can say both were great for what they had to offer. But I am absolutely pleased with the customer service we received when the villa side did not meet our needs. Thank you again John from the management team. I will be sure to refer this resort to friends and family!!!

Yelp
Do Not Stay Here / Do Not Stay Here with Kids We booked because Ocean Edge makes all the top lists for family friendly spots on Cape Cod. I traveled here with two other families and we each had our own unit in the Britterege Villas. I travel often with my son and this was hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel or resort. Almost immediately upon check in and entry to our villa rooms we receive a noise complaint from the front desk. The person downstairs says we're being too loud. We were going up and down the stairs with our luggage and unpacking at 4PM. We receive another complaint shortly after for "stomping" around which in reality was us walking around the unit as we prepared to go to the pool. On day 2 we receive another noise complaint at 3PM after we come back from the beach. This time the kids were sitting on the floor quietly playing legos. I totally understand that noise carries when insulation is poor. You're going to hear walking around, movement and conversations. We did our best to limit time in our room and keep the kids occupied. But if it's going to bother someone this much - don't stay at a hotel, rent an Airbnb. Our kids were simply existing and it was still too loud for this guest and the front desk continued to support him and call us with the complaints. Also on day 2 we had dinner reservations at Ocean Terrace and a pre-paid bonfire package. Ocean Edge Terrace was a miserable experience. We sat down at 630PM and still didn't have food by 8PM. They brought the kids food out first and it was another 30-40 minutes before the adult entrees came out. They kept offering us bread but then would only bring out gluten free bread. Timing was horrible, the wait was horrible, food was mediocre and the entire thing took entirely too long for a single course meal. After dinner, I went back to my room to put my son down for bed and the rest of the group went to see if they could reschedule the bonfire since dinner took so long. The rest of our party arrived back at the Villas around 10PM. That's when the downstairs neighbor began to belligerently and aggressively start to bang the door and scream about the kids. Again, the adults and kids walked up the stairs and were getting ready for bed. I was already in my separate unit and heard the whole thing happen and the only person being loud was the angry neighbor. The neighbor continued to escalate his yelling, banging and slamming his door. He threatened "to continue to bang the door if he even heard a breath." He was drunk and I felt unsafe so I called security. It took a while for anyone to come and the whole experience was frustrating with little communication. The guest was threatening our families AND the security guard, yet it appeared that nothing was done. This entire experience was horrible and terrifying for both kids and adults. And just to be fair, here are a handful positives because I'll give credit where credit is due: - The shuttle drivers are very kind and do a great job of driving folks around the property. It's nice not to have to get in your car. Tip: call for a pick up otherwise you'll be waiting a while - Ground staff are wonderful! I was offered help two different times for things that were above and beyond their job. I really appreciated their kindness. - The Britterege rooms are recently updated and are quite nice. The living room is spacious along with the kitchen and bedroom. It's comfortable and should be a great space to stay with family. Tip: walls and floors are thin and you'll hear everything including when your drunk neighbor is trying to figure out how to say, "massapooshits." I am writing this review with one more night left on my reservation and I'm half tempted to pack up and head home. This place is a hot mess and I do not recommend. I will never come back and do not feel welcome here.

Yelp
This place is absolutely incredible. I came with two friends and we were able to book the igloo experience. The igloos were warm and cozy and the food and cocktails were absolutely delicious. All the employees we came in contact with were so welcoming (particularly Leon and Brandon) and I was highly impressed by the level of customer service. The resort itself has easily accessible parking. We were able to enjoy some desserts in the karaoke lounge downstairs after dinner as well and that was definitely one of the highlights of the night! The gentleman who was running the event made sure everyone participated and he was very convincing because even I went up to belt one out a duet!!! I am hoping to come back and book a room as the location is beautiful and there were so many more dishes I wanted to try.

Yelp
I visited this resort on a busy Wednesday night in July. As you pull up to the grounds it looks beautiful. There are signs that direct you where to go, but the parking area is extremely small for the amount of guests that were at the restaurant. My friend arrived first and was seated at a high top table. Your waiter was quite slow and not observant to our needs. We had to request to order drinks and then again to order food. The server that brought our food was equally non observant. I picked up our small plates to make room for the entree plates. I commented to her what I was doing and she started to leave without taking our small plates away. Overall, the food was good quality, but the service was subpar at best. I can say that I would not return.

Yelp
If I could give 0 stars to Ocean Edge at this point. We have been going there for many years. Today we stopped by. We live on Cape Cod. The service was terrible at the outside bar so we decided to go in to the tavern. The service there was just as bad. Ignored to the point we left.Today is 8/6/23 at 5:00PM

Yelp
Aside from the exceptionally unfriendly check in people the property was beautiful and well maintained. I just stayed a night in the west mansion building. I've never stayed here before, I usually stay in Truro or Orleans but I'll definitely be back here during the summer. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. Whoever that woman is that sits at the desk when you go to check in seems exceedingly miserable and even when I said "hi! Good morning" she couldn't be bothered to crack a smile.

Betsy F.

Yelp
This resort has a 'Fire and Ice' package which states "receive a $150 dining credit towards your private dining experience in our icy themed igloos", however when you go through the booking process they add the $150 to your room rate. When I called to ask how the dining credit worked, they told me it was a 'bundle' and the full amount is charged to your bill, so a one night stay is $391.00 for a $140 room. On top of this, there is a limited menu in the Igloos so it's difficult for two people to even use $150.00. They actually recommended I could buy a bottle of wine and take it back to my room to help use up the money I had to prepay. This is blatantly deceptive and probably illegal.

Yelp
We were visiting cape cod for a family birthday party and my wife and I booked at room at The Villages. We considered staying at the Mansion but decided that we would be happier at the Villages. We had a wonderful stay. We were in Britterige Blueberry Pond One Bedroom and loved it. The room looked like it had been recently renovate and was spotless. The parking was a little odd but I think that is true for all locations of the property! We didn't spend much time at the resort so can't comment on the amenities. We did walk to the pond which we could see from our room. We would definitely stay here again. Based on the other reviews it may be a different experience during the main season.

Lola B.

Yelp
Just stayed at the Mansion again! We have been staying at Ocean Edge for 20 years. We had a spectacular stay. There were chocolates and french macarons on our room welcoming us back. Housekeeping was super prompt and helpful when I requested extra towels. When we returned from dinner, there was turndown service with slippers by the bed and waters and a goodnight treat on the nightstand. Such a nice touch! The service on the beach was phenomenal. Our waiter, Helio, was terrific. He made a big difference with his great service and positive attitude! Cannot wait to go back!!!!

Hailey L.

Yelp
I will start out saying the staff is wonderful and kind. With that said do not waste your money on this hotel. When I booked I thought I was staying in a beautiful hotel but instead was put in an apartment far away from any amenities. The apartment hadn't been updated the pillows were horrifying. It was in a musty basement with paper thin walls. We could hear everything around us. We got lucky that we got access to the beach but most people staying where we were do not have access so make sure you clarify this with staff before booking if you want to go to the beach. This would have been a perfectly fine place to stay for $200 a night but paying over $500 and getting this was not acceptable in my opinion. I attached photos of the "clean" towel room and the horrible scratchy towels they want you to use at the pool, I wouldn't wash my dog with them.

Carrie L.

Yelp
Way overpriced for what you get! Spent more money than anyone should for a 2 night stay. Did I mention that they also charge a daily "resort fee" For you to use their pool and beach? Are you kindling me ? Isn't that what we overpay for in the first place is the amenities? I can not Recommend this hotel to anyone, kids were bored by day 2, food was average at best. The first day on the beach we waited OVER 2 hours for our food. The rooftop food was ehhh.. no paper towels or napkins in the hotel. I could go on but the $5k price tag for two days says enough. At that price Everything should be included. Very very disappointed don't waste your money.

Yelp
Overall, my wife and I had a wonderful time celebrating our 15 year anniversary. It was our first time to Cape Cod and we never left the resort. The restaurants were great (we tried them all) and the bars were great (also tried them all)! I was disappointed with the slow shuttle service, but it's understandable with all the employee shortages! However, my biggest complaint is our shocking discovery that the provided beach umbrellas are not UV resistant! My wife stayed under the umbrella for several hours on Saturday and was burnt badly! I attached a photo for you to see how bad! At least she had shorts and a t-shirt on, but I feel so had for her! The reason for my 1 star is their poor customer service, especially given their rates! I reached out to the resort, just to let them know. They didn't apologize, didn't follow up, and didn't do anything to avoid this in the future! They ruined our anniversary and didn't even apologize! We will be returning to Cape Cod, but never again here!

Salomon W.

Yelp
Stayed at the Villages for four nights. If you like this sort of facility, it's fine. I don't; I went with family. I don't golf. Nice pool. Checkin desk staff not exactly friendly (I know they probably hear the same questions over and over, but if you don't like the job, get another). Stayed in a nice room, with small kitchen (had coffeemaker, microwave, stove, dishes; lacked drying rack, decent coffee, salt and pepper). Air conditioning good; towels awful: felt like sandpaper. At their prices, they need to provide good towels -- which sums up the place overall: adequate, but not good enough. Not a good value. I won't go back.

Yelp
Buyer beware - I am reviewing this as a wedding venue as someone who got married there in summer of 2022. This venue looks great on the surface, but in reality they are incredibly disorganized and chaotic behind the scenes. Our dinner was served late so our band was delayed to start playing for 45 minutes. Because of the hard stop for a noise ordinance, we lost out on that paid time with our band because the meal was served late. Running a wedding on time is incredibly important and you would think a large wedding venue would have that down to a science. There are multiple weddings at the venue per day, so you do not get a dedicated coordinator as they will be busy assisting multiple parties. Before the wedding weekend, I didn't think I would be bothered by other weddings the same day because I thought they'd be spread out, but in actuality the venue isn't as big as it looks and the wedding spaces are pretty close together. The food is fine but everything is overpriced. If you love the feel of the venue, might I suggest the Wychmere or White Cliffs? You may be considering Ocean Edge because they also have guest accommodations unlike Wychmere, but the rooms were so expensive that many guests opted to stay elsewhere anyway. While our coordinator was perfectly nice and helpful, she was not proactive about anything. If you did not reach out to them, you would not hear from them. This caused us to miss out on booking spaces on site for related wedding events because when we reached out to book our rehearsal dinner (7 months before our wedding) all the available spaces were booked up and they could not accommodate us. And additionally, they overcharged us for a line item on our bill 6 months after our wedding with no notice or reasoning and have refused to work with us to reach a resolution. I do not recommend getting married here or patroning this establishment in any way.

Emily M.

Yelp
I booked the porch room at the ocean edge resorts spa. This was for a bachelorette weekend. The nail tech was extremely rude to the bride. Loudly sighed and rolled her eyes and told us she does not have time to remove her gel polish. It will interfere with her 5pm appointment. we felt incredibly uncomfortable and she completely ruined any relaxing mood we had. We talked to the front desk person and they spoke to the nail tech letting us know we will be taken care of. We all agreed that the pedicures were below average and nothing was worth the large price we were paying. Highly disappointed.

Raoul R.

Yelp
Leaving with a butter and salt taste on my tongue. Food was quite bland. This is a place that traps tourists and wedding parties.

W P K.

Yelp
We returned to one of our favorite spots on Cape Cod last weekend only to find it has improved to "extra-spectacular." The people at Ocean's Edge made the rainy weekend seem like it was sunny all day. Elena Pederson greeted us upon arrival with extra special verve. She always goes out of her way to make each guest feel important. The Villages condo was spotless. The only complaint was our stay was not long enough. Till we meet again, the memories make us long for our next stay...

J. B.

Yelp
Oh how the mighty have fallen. To preface, my wife and I were married here a few years back, so I have extremely fond memories of the property, the staff, the food, and the rooms. Our experience over Valentine's Day was so horrendous that I don't know that we'll be back, at least not until we hear that things turn back around. Upon checking in, I thought the front desk wasn't super friendly, but who cares right - all you need is your keys. But in retrospect, after all the other mishaps (see below), it was more clear that the problem is insidious. After arriving to our room, we found an open container of yogurt in the mini-fridge. Now this is kind of gross in general, especially given its dairy, but during the times of Covid - it irked me even further. Additionally, the pump in the back of the toilet wasn't filling the tank, and therefore would not fully flush. For the rest of our trip, my wife and I had to manually hold the pump chain up to fill the tank, so our toilet would flush. To make matters worse, after getting out of the shower, I went to put a bathrobe on, but it had dried blood all over the shoulder (it was in the closet in its dry cleaning plastic wrap). I called housekeeping immediately, but they didn't even offer an apology. I had to demand that they bring me a clean/fresh one, and they acted as if it was some giant inconvenience to them. Also, I feel as if a resort of this supposed caliber should have amazing food, which simply wasn't the case any longer, at least not at Frost Bar. I wrote about that separately here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/ocean-terrace-brewster?hrid=qsxYNAPXABEB_TKyyNCTVA&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) Shame. I even tried to connect with them directly, before writing this review, to no avail.

Yelp
4 of us went for dinner drinks and apps drinks and apps were ok . My son ordered the ribeye and it looked like it was 36 $ we said it can't be very good for that price but he ordered it anyway . When getting the bill it was 136 Which is as surprising as 37 There is what looked like a line after the description that looks more of. Separation than a one , but I wouldn't have minded if it was a half way decent steak but it was far from even fair for 136 it was poor quality over cooked fatty Very disappointed

Sarah H.

Yelp
Room was very damp. Our clothes were wet, sheets were wet from humidity. Had to complain several times. Not worth the money. So substandard not even funny. We couldn't wait to leave. The carpets were dirty dust lingered everywhere, AC doesn't work and doors to rooms stick and not close properly. I wish I never left my home to come here

Jeff P.

Yelp
Great resort! Staff is always friendly. Food is great and Jay at the terrace bar makes the best drinks. Lots of things to do that call for a second visit. Will return again!

Nancy M.

Yelp
The two-story beach house was lovely with a nice view of trees and ocean. There was a large patio, and top floor had a balcony with pretty ocean view. There was a lovely boardwalk through what looked like a wooded area; this led to the beach. A beach restaurant/bar was comfortable, fun, and inviting. Beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas were available on the beach for guests- complimentary. Service was wonderful and friendly. There were fun family activities- games on the lawn, etc. The apartment/townhouse was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for a family to spread out. as well as convenient. There were plenty of towels for everyone, and the apt. came with lovely, soft white robes to borrow. Staff aa well as other visitors were quite friendly and kind. Rom service was EXCELLENT, food delicious, and food prices reasonable. The only things I would change are the following: * Update the apartments with a bit prettier decorations. * Have towel racks on walls. That wouldn't cost much to add, and frankly, there was no bathroom rack to hang wet towels. The bathroom had hooks, but these were used for robes. Each bathroom needs several racks. * The bus drivers were extremely friendly and kind, but the busses did not run every 15 minutes on Sunday; folks waited for 45 minutes. i'm not sure what caused that - - whether it was management, not having enough busses, or what. It was clear that the bus drivers were working hard...But it simply wasn't every 15 min. as advertised. There simply were not enough buses running. Also, there really should be lovely benches or something right at each of the shuttle stops at the resort. This would be helpful not only for handicapped and elderly people, but also for any guests.- - adults and children - - who wish for a reasonable level of comfort while waiting for the bus. One idea is that management should visit the grounds of Heritage Gardens in Sandwich, They do a wonderful job of providing lovely, natural -looking seating at each shuttle stop. The seating there blends in beautifully with the surrounding nature and also provides comfort to visitors as they wait in the hot sun for the shuttle. Adding this would likely not cost much, and it would contribute to a better visitor experience. As you can see, though, I gave the resort four stars. Our family had a wonderful time!

Rick B.

Yelp
Take a break fro the grind and stay a night or 2 at Ocean Edge. You'll feel like you stepped back in time. Take a short walk to the bay and relax on the beach. Stop at The Beach Bar and recharge while you enjoy the incredible view

Yelp
From the time of booking, I should have know what an absolute unhappy visit this trip would be. My professional business group decided to hold our annual 2 day retreat here this year. After receiving the booking information, I called the resort to book our room. We decided to stay Thursday through Sunday to get a little extra time on the bookends of the retreat. My call to the resort the first time was answered by an operator who literally yelled "operator how may I direct your call." I said reservations please and this is how my next 3 calls to the resort went because the first 3 calls got sent to a number with a mailbox that was full. Finally when I reached the very sweet woman on the other line on my 4th call, she was more than accommodating although wanted to upgrade me to larger, more expensive suits which we absolutely did not need since it was just my wife and I traveling. Check in:Arrived earlier than the 4 pm check in time therefore did not expect to be able to get our room early (2pm) however went to reception in the off chance our accommodations were ready. Reception was empty except for one woman behind an old desk who could not bother to look up to say hello and then an additional 3 people behind plexiglass who again did not look up and only when I stood there a few moments did a woman reluctantly ask if she could help me, no smile sadly. She then, not very politely, told me that we could not check in until 4pm because if I had read my confirmation correctly I would have understood that already and not come to reception to ask her. I thanked her and then my wife and I decided we would grab lunch from the outside bar. We sat down and were ignored until finally we were able to get the attention of one of the 2 bartenders who finally brought over a drink/appetizer menu. There was only one other person at the bar at this time. We ordered drinks and asked for a regular lunch menu at this time. Our drinks were basically straight alcohol as we watched the bartender pour what was supposed to be a mixed drink turn into a very, strong cocktail. Then we were ignored for another 16 minutes until I was able to catch the eye of the bartender who took our food order. Both of our meals were delicious. We had a lobster roll and the fried chicken sandwich. The weather outside was really rainy therefore upon finishing our sandwiches, we asked the bartender if he needed us to move insider due to the weather and he assured us that it was fine to stay put. We ended up talking to the man who was bartending when he worked again to drum up a little conversation and with that he told us he was quitting that very day and that he hated everything about "this stupid place and fake people." Every employee outside at the restaurant, with the exception of one woman who came and asked us if we were OK, ignored us and looked absolutely miserable. Good way to start off our visit to this resort which by the way is not cheap even in off season. We were finally able to check in at 4pm and were handed our keys to which we got back in the car to drive to Britterige Village. The room:Cute and comfortable. Walls are paper thin therefore we heard every single word our neighbors said and their baby that screamed all night long - the poor parents. The bathroom shower curtain is too short therefore water pours out all over the floor even if you keep the curtain closed tightly to the shower. The bathroom fan sounds like a fighter jet ready to take off. The AC and heat work well. The view, of the pond, from the deck, is almost 100% obscured by trees. Housekeeping did come both days were there a full day and once we just asked for towels and no service and the other time we were not in the room and received service. Nice service and everything was cleaned and freshened up. Kitchenette was in working order. We only used the refrigerator and the coffee maker. A shuttle is available from 9am through what we think is 11pm but unsure since we were told, from different staff members, differing times for the shuttle hours. We did use the shuttle our first night to go over to dinner and back and the drivers were friendly. The main house where they have the restaurant and bar is not a place you can easily walk to from your rooms unless on the main grounds which none of my group encountered. My one friend was over 2 miles away from the main house where we checked in and without parking in front of her building therefore had to carry her luggage quite a ways when checking in. There is no offer for help of luggage of any kind which we did not mind but others may have required. Restaurants: Food was very good. I had lobster rolls at all 3 meals and all were delicious. My wife had, as stated above, the chicken sandwich then a burger. All were tasty and well seasoned. Again the staff is miserable and not interested in serving the customer. Example: we are told at ...........

Yelp
We recently celebrated our engagement with dinner and a night at the hotel. A major highlight was an incredible experience and interaction with one of your shuttle drivers, Damien. He was so charismatic, positive, funny, and made wonderful conversation. He asked thoughtful questions, shared a little bit about himself and brought such a happy energy to our ride--setting the tone for the entire day. He is educated, very experienced in the hospitality industry, and would be a wonderful asset to a more customer facing or guest experience role. This man deserves a raise! For the accommodations being pretty lack luster I wanted to give less stars, but Damien really had an impact on us and made our experience great.

Yelp
Stayed at the Britteridge villages on blueberry pond. The walls are so thin I can hear every word in the room next to us through our bedroom wall. They were blasting the TV all night and I had to call the front desk several times. Actually got a headache from hearing all this combined with the lack of sleep. Horrendous! Went to check out the pools the next day and they were all filthy. No one has cleaned them for quite a while and the filters were not even on! Never able to actually use the pools. Such a waste. We were however able to go to the beach area which was beautiful so that was a plus.

Yelp
Very unpleased with this resort. I purchased a $250 spa gift as a gift at the beginning of July, was told I would get email confirmation & a physical card mailed to me. Never got an email, never got the card in the mail. I called 2 weeks later and they said it was sent but they would resend me the email and card. Never got either of them for the second time. I've called twice this week and left voicemails and haven't heard back at all. I got charged on my card for this but they can't send me the card or call me back? Unacceptable.

Yelp
First time I went to Ocean Edge Resort with my family in 2022. We had a great time. Facilities are amazing and plentiful. There are three different pools. You can bike ride, kayaking, paddle board, pickle ball, tennis (about 8 courts) and of course, golf. The bike trail is extremely extensive and fairly flat. They have organized tennis round robin, group clinics or simply, rent your court. Initially, we stayed in a one-bedroom at Arbor village, which is farthest from the mansion. That's ok because there is a pool in that proximity. We then moved to Britterige village, which is closer to the check-in area. Britterige one-bedroom is bigger but there is no pool in that area. You will have to drive to Arbor or go to the mansion. However, Britterige is close to the bike rental area, pickle balls and kayaking. You can eat either at the mansion (a bit expensive), at the lawn with the fire pits (basic food like pizza, chicken fingers) or at the other restaurant (Linx). You can also buy your own grocery and cook inside the room. My only complaint is that the variety of ethnic food around Brewster is limited. If you stay there five to seven days, you might get sick of burgers, chips, pizza and lobster roll. Breakfast around Brewster is also expensive. I recommend that you just buy some cereal and bread and eat inside your room. For other food options, you can always drive to Orleans, nearby town.

Yelp
The suite was nice, spacious. The pool was great. WiFi did not work at all which was very frustrating as we also did not have cell service in the room. For the price there should be working wifi as advertised! Cleanliness also left something to be desired. After we checked in I noticed the laminate floors didn't seem very clean so I took a pass with wet towels and it was disgusting how dirty they were. Clearly had not be cleaned in awhile. Summer beach resort i want to walk around in bare feet without them turning black. When I informed the front desk she was slightly apologetic but only offered to make a note to have them deep clean the room the next day. As we were checking out and I had already done the cleaning, this response seemed inadequate.

Yelp
What an extraordinary location for sunsets, yummy cocktails and snacks ! We especially enjoyed hanging out with the bartenders there - shout out to Alex, Pat (thanks for the restaurant recommendations !) and "Miss Colombia"! The vibe is everything you could hope for from a beach bar!

Yelp
Love this place! Great atmosphere! Perfect views and wonderful service. Everyone is extremely friendly.

Yelp
The only consistent thing about Oceans Edge Terrace is that it is consistently underwhelming year after year. The kitchen is never prepared to deal with even the reservations on tap and we weren't even allowed to order food at an empty high top because we were told the kitchen was only prepared to serve the reservations for the night. What about walk ins and members? My one recommendation is do not got there because the stale bread at the beginning of every meal certainly sets the tone for the rest of the experience !

Yelp
After receiving a massage at the beach house spa, I was told my credit card was declined. I gave another credit card which was accepted. When I got home, both cards had been charged and I spent over a month trying to resolve with the controller to no avail. Get a receipt for everything. Their accounting practices are less than acceptable.

Yelp
When you meet Olga and Monique once you are greeted you immediately feel at home with the care and kindness of family! they made the experience so enjoyable and seamless, especially how they catered to the kids. Thank you Monique and Olga for a memorable experience!

Yelp
Stayed at the village near the golf course in a room in a townhouse arrangement. It was dirty and run down. My pillow smelled. There was gum stuck to the floor. The dishwasher was rusted. There is zero sound barrier between units, so I was able to hear the lady upstairs drying her hair and when they walked it sounded like they were entering my room. This place needs a facelift and some investment.

Yelp
The food service on the patio was horrible. On a Wednesday afternoon at 1 lots of staff lingering at the bar no service. Not crowded. More empty tables then not.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! Staff is absolutely miserable and NO help! I actually had 3 young men walk RIGHT passed me while I was trying to push a stroller full of two children, push 2 suitcases and carrying a wedding dress!!!! And that was only the beginning! The rooms were decent at best and for the price of them 100000x not worth it! For $800 a night you'd expect a little bit more than decent and maybe not a view of a massive parking lot or their dumpsters!Went to breakfast one morning and I took an hour to get a coffee while waiting for menus we ended up looking it up on our phones...then another hour for eggs. The beach is probably the worst beach I have ever been to and the only good part is the bar! And let me reiterate here the staff has not gotten any better by this point! We also hosted a rehearsal dinner here which is the only reason would be okay with giving this place one star. The clam back was amazing and the staff at this was amazing. The next night, however we had told the hotel we were all coming back from a wedding. They told us that it was fine and we didn't need to reserve anywhere. Well apparently towards the end of the night they proceeded to tell us that we had no business being there even though we were all staying in the hotel? There were two ladies who continued to hound our guests and entire party because they were not having a good time. We had a bartender who commented on one of our guests stature and completely offended him then they proceeded to kick us out after we tried to diffuse the situation. Staff is utterly disrespectful, check in staff is the rudest I e ever encountered and the manager I met is by far the WORST, he's rude and speaks to you like you're below him - hotel itself is NOT worth 1/4 of the price we paid!

Yelp
We reserved a dog friendly room in the village. Dogs are not allowed at the mansion, not allowed on the mansion lawn, not allowed at the mansion beach. Not allowed on the shuttle. We drove 20mins to Nauset to be on a beach with our dog. For my youngest daughter's (12th) birthday, I brought them to the mansion for a little celebration, I told the hostess we would be quick as my husband stayed back with the dog. We were seated with menus, but after not being acknowledged for nearly 15mins we left. We appreciate the kind manager who "tried to make it right" but it was too little too late. (We walked out embarrassed) During our stay, we were allowed to sit by the Arbor pool with our dog, we all enjoyed the pool area, staff there was great. Our room was cleaned nicely the last day of our short stay.

Yelp
My family and I stayed in the Britteridge Blueberry Pond Village for 3 nights over the long July 4th weekend. We stayed at Ocean Edge years ago and had a great experience, and in particular we were looking forward to kayaking on Blueberry Pond this time. After booking on the website we got the initial confirmation email which indicated we would get another email within 24 hours with more information. We never received the second email, so I responded to the email address listed several times, but no response. I called multiple times, but was put on hold, until I eventually was able to leave a voicemail with my number. No one called back. We arrive very late at night and eager to get to our room. I called the front desk the next morning, but no answer. We inquired at the rental stand about kayaks, but were told the pond was temporarily closed. I'm very disappointed this information wasn't on the website, as using the pond was the main reason we booked a room by the pond. By late afternoon our room hadn't been cleaned so I called housekeeping, but no response. I called the front desk early the next morning and finally got a hold of someone. She told us housekeeping was only available on request with 24 hours advanced notice. Since we were checking out the next day it was too late to have our room cleaned. She said we should have been informed at check-in (we were not) and apologized. We were also told we had access to the pool right next to our room, but later were told it was only for members. While the room and facilities were very nice, the lack of adequate communication was very disappointing. While I understand there are increased demands on the staff due to the pandemic, and the highest priority is keeping guests safe (which they did), it seems some very basic communication (such as sending the second email with all the information, and posting the pond closure on the website) would have made our stay much better (and reduced the need for me to contact the staff so often).

Yelp
I'm giving four stars because my husband and I throughly enjoyed our three night stay at the mansion. The room was beautiful and clean. The grounds were stunning. The beach was a short walk from the room. We enjoyed breakfast at the terrace, the view was to die for. However, the resort is very busy. I wasn't aware how large the actually resort is. They have many other villas on the mansion side nearby as not part of the "mansion". Seems like people own or rent them to larger groups or families. With this, the pool is always packed with children. The beach, although there is plenty of room, is also very busy. (Especially on the weekend!) We checked out on a Saturday and there was a line to get onto the boardwalk, and also a line to get chairs and onto the beach. They are constantly checking passes. The service on the beach seemed lacking. We were only approached one day that we were there. However, other days we did walk to the end of the beach to avoid the crowd. Therefore, I assume servers didn't want to take the long walk down , which is understandable. After spending two days on the beach, we tried several drinks and food. All of which were not good at the beach bar. I ordered a special, which was a buffalo chicken wrap, it was literally precooked chicken served cold. My husband ordered a lobster roll, he did not care for it. Another day we had a burger, which seemed not cooked through throughly. The drinks, were very overpriced for what we received. Thus, we declined purchasing them after the first day and a half. $18 for a mediocre beverage, no thanks. $10 for a can of White Claw is robbery. We took a drive and walked through the Brit. Pond which is beautiful and larger than expected. Again, TONS of villas on the other side of the resort. The golf course looked very nice as well. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. Was it worth the price we paid for three nights? probably not. Mainly due to the crowding around their amenities. We would love this resort if it was not so over crowded.

Yelp
Stayed in a Mansion room Deluxe King with my family of two adults and two children under the age of 12. The room looked exactly the same as when I stayed here 9 years ago which means that it has not been updated in some time. THE GOOD: The property is beautiful. We enjoyed the private beach every day and the beach attendants (young men and women mostly in their teens and twenties) were very helpful and kind. We also briefly enjoyed the fun lawn games when we returned from dinner off-site one night. The atmosphere was fun and magical with the string lights, fire pits and cozy seating scattered throughout the Great Lawn. THE BAD AND UGLY: I requested to be on the second level but was assigned a ground floor room. I believe this is where they intentionally put all the families with young children. As others have pointed out, the SMELL is musty and dank. I've stayed at historic properties before - including The Chanler in Newport - and it did not smell like a mushroom forest. I understand it is hard to find housekeeping staff nowadays but for a 4-star resort there is certain level of expectation for cleanliness. Though our room was tidy, it was NOT CLEAN. There were short hairs in the tub when we arrived and the tile was discolored. There are also no USB ports, which is a minor inconvenience but it is standard in almost any other hotel these days. I asked for additional towels since there were only 3 sets of towels in my room even though I indicated we were a party of 4. Upon receiving the towels. I discovered a 1-inch piece of DRIED BACON and a bit of dried up egg caked on to the supposedly fresh set of towels. I informed the front desk about this when I checked out and was told that the towels fine from an "outside service." HELPFUL TIPS: Don't forget to tip the beach attendants! They work hard setting up umbrellas, chairs, etc. and serving food. I witnessed multiple couples and families fail to tip their attendants. It is no secret that this resort is not in the average person's budget so if you can afford to stay here, you can definitely afford to tip the beach attendants! Also, if you are going to make them listen to a boring story about your Irish grandma or your friend's house on the Vineyard when they set up your chairs then throw $10 their way for the trouble. The food at the resort is mediocre and overpriced. There are great options just a short drive down the street from the resort: APT (for breakfast and brunch - lots of Vegan options) and Stone L'Oven Pizza (great pasta & pizza for families) and Cobie's for beach-stand style seafood & ice cream.

Yelp
Have stayed in the villages, happily, and had a Hotels.com gift certificate so we decided to splurge and stay in The Mansion. While the room quality was fine, The Mansion is so not worth the additional cost! The entrance to the West Wing from the parking lot though the basement is uninviting to say the least. We had no view. The room phone didn't work. There was a bug on the bathroom floor. Room amenities were meh. I've stayed in much better rooms that cost much less. Will not be returning to The Mansion.

Yelp
Update: I emailed Denise. She ignored my email. I would never give one star. This resort deserves it.

Yelp
If you are considering your wedding at Ocean Edge, I would absolutely advise you to request the event leaders of the serving staff FAY and M. They were the professionals that went above and beyond their roles by such warmth, positivity, and unbelievable talent in reading the room, picking up on small details and keeping communication ongoing throughout our celebration. Fay and M were so engaging , sincere and professional with all the guests, fulfilling requests with epic speed and a smile. We immediately knew we would have nothing to worry about, we could relax and enjoy our evening with no worries or concerns. Perhaps the culmination of our experience came at the end of the event when the groom could not find his car keys. M and Fay immediately flew into action, took their phone flashlights and searched the sprawling front lawn, not even being asked for assistance and by this time they were surely exhausted by all their hard work for hours. In our experience, Ocean Edge was an amazing venue for a wedding, but I would highly suggest you always consider the wait staff of professionals when exploring your venues (they are truly the ones that are the heart) and you simply cannot possibly find a better team than M and Fay! Thank you so much, I hope Ocean values you as much as we do!

Yelp
It's just OK...staying at the Mansion in a King room overlooking the bay. Kinda outdated, musty smelling so I feel it's overpriced. The food is nothing very memorable. Biggest problem is parking when the weddings show up...there is literally no place for people paying for a room to park...it's all taken by visitors. We won't be back...for the money there are nicer resorts. I'm updating my review from 2 stars to one star.... This place is an epic failure parking disaster and public free for all. The staff really does not care either. My wife pointed out something stuck to the ceiling of our $850 per night room. I was afraid to touch or remove i

Yelp
Have only visited once but thought it was a beautiful property and great customer service. We had lunch outside the day we arrived and our food and service were outstanding. Resort manager and bartender both came out to make small talk. These sort of things make a wonderful impression with us and not to mention the wait staff were amazing. Highly considering another visit this year and if we do looking forward to it very much.
